  1. Try to accomplish these things one step at a time. Attempting to do them all at once will likely lead to failure. Go at your own pace, however, and you'll be able to do all of these things easily.
  2.
  3. Okay, here is a NEET's guide to mild or moderate happiness:
  4.
  5. -Fix your sleep schedule. A lot of NEETs are already depressed, and getting too little or too much sleep screws with brain chemicals even more, worsening it. Download this program (http://stereopsis.com/flux/). It will change the color of your screen at sunrise and sunset. Go to bed within 1 HOUR of the screen changing at night. If you normally go to sleep at 6AM and don't wake up until 8 or 10PM, then you might just want to stay up for an extra night to make yourself tired.
  6.
  7. -Eat heatlthier. No, I'm not telling you to give up on junk food or start eating like a vegan fag or some such nonsense, I'm telling you that you probably need to eat something OTHER than junk food. Try to meet most of this guideline (http://www.netrition.com/rdi_page.html) here. Also, try to stay within your RDI here (http://www.healthycalculators.com/calories-intake-requirement.php). As longs as you can meet these two goals, you can eat as much junk food as you want to.
  8.
  9. -Find a hobby to take up your time that doesn't need to have anything to do with the internet (Or TV). It doesn't have to be social, but you still need SOMETHING. I don't care of it's gardening, farming, reading a book, writing a book, lifting weights or knitting, but everybody has to have one. If need be, use this site (http://www.savingadvice.com/articles/2012/01/30/109065_67-free-and-inexpensive-hobbies.html) for inspiration. You can pick the NEET from the normie hobbies.
  10.
  11. -Get outside a little more. Find a place where no one else goes/stays, take a book and maybe a blanket (if it's outside and you want to lie on the ground), and just hangout there by yourself. Staying in the house all day erryday isn't very good for mental health. You don't need to do this everyday, but once a week would be great, though once a month would be the minimum.
  12.
  13. -If you've considered suicide seriously within the past month, consider talking to a psychiatrist so you can get some SSRIs. Tell them your severely depressed, not suicidal, and they'll give them to you without forcing you to see a therapist or go into an institution.
  14.
  15. -If it all possible, try to get or stay on decent terms with your family. If not possible, and you aren't relying on them, cut each and every single tie you have to them. Baggage isn't good for you!
  16.
  17. -Unless you're 100% asocial and have absolutely no desire for human contact (not a bad thing BTW), then try to keep a healthy number of online friends up. You already have /jp/, but try talking to the people you play online vidya with a little.
  18.
  19. -Shower at least once every three days, or twice a week.
  20.
  21. -Keep your room/home fairly clean. It doesn't have to be sparkling, but you shouldn't be living in a pigstye, either.
  22.
  23. Finally, the most important thing of all for you to do is:
  24.
  25. -Remember that /jp/ loves you! :3
