  1. >Three years ago, humanity was introduced to the cultural interspecies exchange bill.
  2. >Many creatures that we thought were mythological were suddenly introduced to our society after being hidden by the world governments for so long.
  3. >Fortunately, many of these demihumans and pseudohumans have integrated into society very well. There have been some exceptions and problems, but for the most part, everything went swimmingly.
  4. >You've lived in New York all of your life.
  5. >Like many tough guys from your neighborhood, you dream of going pro in boxing.
  6. >Unfortunately, the days of being taken in by a grumpy but proud coach are a thing of the past and the price of gym membership is a little out of your pocket.
  7. >You spent a month training on the streets and in the train yard.
  8. >Then she found you.
  9. >Her name is Lin, an energetic and fit woman with almond hair and yellow eyes.
  10. >Lin saw you train and give it your all and wants to see you at your full potential.
  11. >She invites you to use her private gym at her estate.
  12. >You wouldn't have believed her if she wasn't a kobold. Should probably have mentioned that.
  13. >You happily accept her invite.
  14. >You meet her at her address the next day and she shows you around.
  15. >This gym is amazing! It has everything you need!
  16. >Cardio, weights, a kitchen stocked with juices, a shower!
  17. >Lin sets you up on your new training regime and elects herself as your coach and manager.
  18. >You don't mind, the only thing you knew how to do is throw some punches and weave in and out. Lin clearly knows what's up.
  19. >She even joins you in your workouts to keep you motivated.
  20. >It's a nice notion, but it's hard for your eyes not trail on to her. Lin is built like a god damn space ship.
  21. >Her body is amazing, her butt is out of this world, and her sports bra does little to contain her breasts. Not to mention she has a beautiful face.
  22. >You try not to think about it, not that an accident happens.
  23. >You can't be thinking of stuff like that! The exchange bill forbids monsters having sex with humans!
  24. >Monsters can't have sex with humans…Right?
  25. >Two months into your training and Lin sets you up with an amateur bout.
  26. >An Italian guy named Louis is set up to fight you for six rounds.
  27. >You whooped him in three rounds, it's rare to knock someone out while they're wearing head gear, but you did it!
  28. >Every day that you practice and train, you improve.
  29. >And you begin to win match after match.
  30. >Each one leaves you two more ecstatic than the last.
  31. >After your sixth win in a first round knock out, you and Lin go back to the gym.
  32. >"That was so cool!" She tells you, her tail wagging behind her.
  33. >"You think?" You ask "I just kind of hit him."
  34. >"You didn't just punch him!" Lin reassures. "That weave into a hook knocked him flat on his back side!"
  35. >"Well, if you put it like that." You say, rubbing the back of your head and trying not to giggle with self satisfaction.
  36. >"Hold on, I'll make us something yummy to celebrate." Lin tells you, turning around and rummaging through the fridge.
  37. >"You know, I couldn't have done this without your help." You tell her. "So…Thanks Lin."
  38. >Lin either didn't hear you or chose not to respond, turning around quickly with milk and juice in her hand. "What do you want in your smooth-"
  39. >She slipped on her feet and feel forward.
  40. >You move in to intercept and catch her, the cartons landing safely on the table while your hands hold on to her waist.
  41. >Your lover halves touch and your nose is inches away from brushing against her button nose.
  42.
  43. >"Hah." You chuckle. "That was a close one, hu-"
  44. >She didn't allow you to finish your sentence. Cutting you off by pressing her lips against yours.
  45. >You reel back in surprise, but she leans forward against you, soon you relent and return her kiss.
  46. >You break the kiss only for a moment to switch places with her and lift her on to the table, your tongues now wrestling in each other's mouths.
  47. >Now it's a frantic struggle to pull one another's pants off, yours falling to the ground first. Her palm against your erect member is driving you crazy while you struggle to pull undo her denim shorts.
  48. >When you finally manage it, you reluctantly break the kiss and pull her shorts from her legs, throwing them away and grabbing on to her waist to pull yourself between her legs.
  49. >You stifle her yelps when you enter her with your lips, locking your fingers with hers while you thrust inside her.
  50. >Her legs wrap around your waist as you begin to thrust faster, the heat in your chest becoming unbearable.
  51. >You can't hold back any longer and you begin to release, filling her with your warmth.
  52. >She pulls away from your lips and moans loudly, wrapping her arms around you and holding you close, one hand against the back of your head and another gripping your shirt.
  53. >You're both panting heavily now, looking down at each other.
  54. >You kiss one more time before simply enjoying each other's body heat.
  55. >Then it hit you.
  56. >You just realized what you two did.
  57. >You look at one another with wide eyes and say at the same time. "Oh shit!"
  58. >You pull yourself out of her and smash against the fridge behind you.
  59. >"Oh crap, what did we just do!?" You ask, holding on to the side of your head in disbelief.
  60. >"We broke, like, sixty different rules just then!"
  61. >"We're gonna be in so much shit…" You say.
  62. >"Well…No one knows we did it…" Says Lin, looking at her claws and pretending she didn't witness a crime. "It's not like anyone has to find out…"
  63. >"What do you mean?" You ask, though you know god damn well what she meant.
  64. >Lin stands up from the table and moves closer to you, crouching low until your face is almost touching hers. She wraps her large hands around the back of your head and cheeks, pulling you closer.
  65. >"I won't tell on you if you don't tell on me." She whispers before kissing you again.
  66. >You just got yourself into something big.
  67. >And you think you like it.
  68.
  69. >You're sitting at the end of Lin's bed with your hand tucked between your legs.
  70. >How did this happen?
  71. >Sure she's hot, but you never really thought of her as anything more than your coach.
  72. >But then she kissed you.
  73. >All of that passion just kind of erupted like a nuclear warhead.
  74. >You can't get her out of your head.
  75. >You want to touch her body, rub her ears, pet her tail, kiss he-
  76. >Okay, stop, you sound like a total tool.
  77. >But she makes your heart pound in your chest.
  78. >"You gonna get ready?"
  79. >You jump in your seat.
  80. >"Huh?" You ask, turning your head to look at her sitting beside you.
  81. >"You're all sweaty, you should take a shower." She reassures you.
  82. >"Oh, yeah, right."
  83. >"What's wrong?" She asks, tilting her head.
  84. >"Oh sorry, it's just…Y'know, the whole Exchange bill law and all that."
  85. >"You don't think we can make it work?" She asks, you can hear the tone of disappointment in her voice.
  86. >"No no! I mean, I really want it to work!" You reassure her. "I mean, my last girlfriend kind of made sure I live in a one room apartment now."
  87. >"But you're scared of MON or the Police finding out?" She inquires.
  88. >"Kind of. I mean, they're kind of anal about this stuff."
  89. >"Awww, you're so cute!" Lin laughs, nuzzling your cheek. "Afraid of the five-O and all that!"
  90. >"I-I'm not afraid of the police!" You protest.
  91. >"Come on, lets get you into the shower~." Lin grabs your hand and stands up, holding your hand in both of hers as she leads you to the bathroom.
  92. >You stand there awkwardly, butt naked in the shower, just staring.
  93. >Lin stretches and lets the water flow down her hair and body.
  94. >She looks at you from over her shoulder and backs up into you.
  95. >"Oops." She whispers. "Well now since I'm here, mind washing me down?"
  96. >You're frozen in place, looking at her before you realize what she said.
  97. >Right, the soap in your hand.
  98. >You gulp and begin with her shoulders and back. Why is this so tense for you when you just had sex with her an hour ago?
  99. >You move down her back and sides, getting a giggle out of her as you brush her ribs.
  100. >You find the courage to move up her stomach and in between and around her breasts. You felt something strange a little lower under her breasts, but are too busy rubbing down your boss to care.
  101. >You completely lost track of time just touching her body and she eventually stopped you. "How about you spend the night here?" She offered, turning off the faucet.
  102. >Being a law breaker has never felt so right.
  103.
  104. >"So what's the plan?" you ask, lying in Lin's king sized bed.
  105. >"What do you mean?" She asks, looking up at you from her resting place on your chest.
  106. >"Like, I don't really want to seclude this relationship into your estate, you know?"
  107. >"You mean…Dates and stuff?"
  108. >"And just hanging out around the city…"
  109. >Lin stands up on all fours and then sits down on your lap.
  110. >"You want to take me on dates!?" She asks, you can see and feel her tail wagging under the covers.
  111. >"Well…Yeah, we're a couple now aren't we?"
  112. >"I've never actually been on a real date before!" She said.
  113. >"I mean, we can just say I'm your host, right?"
  114. >"Don't even need to, Kobolds get special permission because of our situation." Lin explained before going back to fantasizing about your future dates.
  115. >"We can just say you're showing me around! It's going to be so much fun!"
  116. >Lin giggles happily and flopped down on you, nuzzling her face against your chest.
  117. >You didn't expect a monster girlfriend to be so… Affectionate. Is it because she's a kobold or are they all like this?
  118. >Still, it's nice to be wanted for once.
  119. >You reached for the lamp and turned it off, leaving you and Lin in the dark with only the moon light from the window giving any kind of illumination.
  120. >Lin's soft breathing was like a lullaby slowly drifting you off into sleep.
  121. >"Right." you thought to yourself.
  122. >"Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be the best damn boyfriend I can be."
  123.
  124. >Saturday.
  125. >After breakfast, you decided to go downtown with Lin.
  126. >The two of you would be less conspicuous if she wasn't holding on to your arm like that.
  127. >"Uhhh, should you be doing that?" You ask her. "I could pass as your host if you weren't holding on to me like this."
  128. >"It's fine." Lin huffs. "My friends in Japan say they see it happen all the time."
  129. >"Well, I guess." you consider it.
  130. >"Come on!" Lin gets a hold of your wrist and pulls you through the streets.
  131. >You visit an underground mall together, just walking through the halls and talking.
  132. >You visit a plethora of stores.
  133. >Toy stores, music stores, video game stores. Stores where Lin tried on some underwear and other clothing.
  134. >the last ones were your favorite stores.
  135. >After a few hours of just dicking around with Lin, you hear her stomach rumble.
  136. >Lin puts a hand on her stomach and blushes. "heh, it's been awhile, hasn't it?"
  137. >"You want to get something at the food court?" You ask.
  138. >"The food court? I don't know, I don't want to break my routine." She says.
  139. >"Oh come on, ever hear of a cheat day? Besides, its not like you won't burn it off during one of your runs anyways."
  140. >You beckon her to follow along, but stop your stride. "You uh… Can eat chocolate, right? Not that we accidentally get you killed."
  141. >"Of course I can eat chocolate." Lin laughs. "I'm a Kobold, not a dog."
  142. >The two of you enter the food court and begin to search for something that looks appetizing.
  143. >Lin's ears perk up, she seems to have taken interest in the crepe vendor.
  144. >She has her eyes set on a vanilla ice cream with strawberry crepe.
  145. >As she orders, the clerk tells the price and Lin reaches for her wallet.
  146. >You stop her.
  147. >"I got it." You tell her.
  148. >"What, why?"
  149. >"Why not?"
  150. >"You know I have more than enough money." Lin tells you with a suspicious expression.
  151. >"Yeah I know, but what kind of host would I be if I didn't show some courtesy?"
  152. >Lin tries to protest, but you go ahead and pay for it anyway. 8 dollars is pretty expensive for a single crepe, but you aren't complaining.
  153. >While walking to find a place to relax, Lin creeps up beside you.
  154. >"Trying to get some easy points, huh?"
  155. >"What do you mean?" You ask.
  156. >"You know what I mean." She whispers. "But I'm not going to say it isn't working. Keep it up.~"
  157. >You're off to a good start in this relationship. Try and keep it up…
  158.
  159.
  160. >Monday.
  161. >You spent all of Sunday practicing for your next match on Friday.
  162. >You're sore all over and can barely move.
  163. >"Come on, anon!" Lin tries to encourage you. "We only have a few days left!"
  164. >"I don't think I can…" You groan. "I aint got the juice…"
  165. >Lin's ears droop on her head and she crouches down beside you.
  166. >She pokes your arm.
  167. >"ow."
  168. >Then your back.
  169. >"ow."
  170. >"Then your leg.
  171. >"ow."
  172. >"Hm…Maybe we should take a day off."
  173. >"Thank you."
  174. >Lin rolls you on to your back and helps you sit up.
  175. >"Tell me if this helps." She says, pressing her thumbs against the plates on your back.
  176. >She begins to rub and massage you gently, her large hands and fingers doing wonders on your muscles.
  177. >You groan in delight with every pop and crack, your body relaxing at the magic of her hands.
  178. >"What now?" She asks, wrapping her arms around you and resting her chin on your shoulder.
  179. >"What do you wanna do?" You ask, half asleep.
  180. >"Wanna watch some movies?"
  181. >"Sure."
  182. >"Okay." she whispers softly. "lets go watch some movies."
  183.
  184. >You're sitting on the couch with your feet up, covered in a fuzzy blanket that Lin had in her closet.
  185. >She goes through her movies trying to pick out what the two of you should watch.
  186. >"How about a comedy?" She suggests.
  187. >You think about it for a second.
  188. >You wonder how Lin reacts when she's scared.
  189. >"How about horror?" You ask.
  190. >"R-really?" She looks back at you. "I- I don't think I have any of those."
  191. >Oh, she's not big on horror.
  192. >You take a mental note.
  193. >"Comedy sounds good."
  194. >Lin puts the DVD in and walks back to the couch.
  195. >"DVD? I thought you were rich."
  196. >"Hey, some people appreciate the format." She defends herself.
  197. >The movie starts, you're curled up on one corner and Lin is sitting on the other side.
  198. >15 minutes into the movie and she seems restless.
  199. >"This doesn't feel right." She says.
  200. >Lin begins to fidget in her seat, pulling her legs up and crawling along the couch like a dog looking for a place to sit.
  201. >She grabs on to your giant blanket and throws it over.
  202. >You feel her hands against your legs, followed by her leg between yours.
  203. >Then her breasts press against your chest, making your heart skip a beat.
  204. >Suddenly, her head pops out from under the blanket, her wide eyes looking directly into yours and a big grin on her face.
  205. >"That's better." She giggles, hugging you and turning around so she's sitting against your chest with her lower half between your legs.
  206. >She grabs a hold of your wrists and leads your arms to wrap around her and squeeze her tightly.
  207. >Even with your sore muscles, the heat from her body and weight is soothing.
  208. >Not comes the challenge of keeping your boy downstairs calm…
  209.
  210. >The movie ends, the two of you had been snuggled together for some time.
  211. >"Guess it's time to pop in another movie." Lin sighs. "I really liked that one."
  212. >"I got it." You volunteer, pushing Lin up and hoisting yourself to your feet with all your might.
  213. >"You sure?" She asks, but you're already on your feet.
  214. >"Yeah yeah…" You wave her off, limping to the movie shelf.
  215. >You go down row after row, a lot of these you've already seen before.
  216. >Wouldn't mind seeing again, though.
  217. >Wait.
  218. >Hold up.
  219. >Is…Is that?"
  220. >Oh man.
  221. >You pull it from the shelf.
  222. >ALIEN.
  223. >A wicked grin slowly cuts across your face.
  224. >"Oh hey, this looks fun!" you say, taking it out of the case.
  225. >"What is it?"
  226. >You don't answer her and place the DVD into the player.
  227. >You make sure to leave the DVD tray open before getting back to your seat.
  228. >Lin doesn't expect a thing, and she stands up to let you get lie down again before she takes her place against you.
  229. >You look at one another and smile before you grab the remote from the table and close the tray.
  230. >The Ads start, she still doesn't expect a thing.
  231. >You make sure to hold on to her softly, letting her ease up. She nuzzled against you and wraps her hands around your forearms.
  232. >Then it starts.
  233. >The DVD menu pops up.
  234. >ALIEN
  235. >You hold back laughter as Lin's ears perk up on her head.
  236. >"U-Uh!" She stutters as you press play on the remote. "I think we should watch something else!"
  237. >She tries to get up but you wrap your arms around her chest and hold her against you. "Aw, come on. It'll be fun!"
  238.
  239. >Lin is already curled up against you.
  240. >Surprisingly, she manages to not cover her eyes until the first facehugger shows itself.
  241. >"Why do you even have this movie?" You ask, making sure she still can't get away.
  242. >"Shut up! I was trying to be brave!" She protested. "I-I just never got around to watching it!"
  243. >"Aw, don't be scared." You whispers. I'll make sure an Alien doesn't sneak up on us and bite your ears!"
  244. >After you say the last part you quickly give her left ear a nibble.
  245. >She yelps and tenses up even more against your chest.
  246. >"You're so mean…" She sulks.
  247. >The first chest burster gets her as well, this time with a loud scream.
  248. >Every time the Alien begins hunting someone, Lin starts yelling at the TV and telling them to run.
  249. >And every time someone gets caught, she yelps and covers her eyes.
  250. >You've seen this movie a hundred times, it doesn't even phase you.
  251. >Instead, you find your entertainment with tormenting Lin.
  252. >Every so often, when the movie goes quiet or extremely, tense. You'll blow against her ear or poke her in the side or stomach. Each time she struggles and kicks her legs.
  253. >"Why are you such a bully!?" She pouts before screaming at another alien attack.
  254. >"Because it's fun." You taunt her, resting your head against her shoulder and kissing her on the cheek with a comical "Mwuah" sound.
  255. >Luckily for her, the movie finally ends with Ripley putting herself and Jones into stasis after the climatic encounter with the alien and Lin sighs with relief.
  256. >"Well, it wasn't so bad, was it?" you ask.
  257. >"N…No." Lin curls up again and looks back at you with a smile. "But I think it was easier to watch because you were here…"
  258. >"Lin…" Your cheeks turn red and you look away. "Well."
  259. >You begin to stand up to get back to the movie shelf. "Lets see if you have Aliens!"
  260. >In a panic, Lin grabs on to you. "Nooooo!!! Annnooooonnnnn!!!"
  261.
  262. >The next day.
  263. >You're out on the town when your phone rings.
  264. >Caller ID says its your mom.
  265. >Not as an insult, it's actually your mom.
  266. >"Hey, Ma." You answer.
  267. >"Anon? We can over to visit and your land lord said he hasn't seen you in a couple days, are you okay?"
  268. >"Oh, uh…"
  269. >You think about it for a bit.
  270. >Should you tell them?
  271. >"Well…I've kind of been with somebody."
  272. >"Oh?" Your mom suddenly sounds smug over the phone. "Like a girlfriend?"
  273. >"Y-yeah…"
  274. >"What's she like? When can we meet her?"
  275. >"Well… She's uh…She's active."
  276. >"ooh! She'll keep you in shape!"
  277. >"And uh…She's kind of clingy."
  278. >"It'd be nice to see you held to the ground a little, as long as it's not obsessive that is."
  279. >"And uh…I guess she comes from money."
  280. >"Oooh! You know how t'pick em! What she look like?"
  281. >"…U-…Uh…She has brown hair…"
  282. >"Yeah…" Your mom seems excited. Guess she thought you were gay, or she figures you need this after your last girlfriend and all.
  283. >"And uh… Yellow eyes."
  284. >"Okay…"
  285. >"And uh…A very light layer of fur over her skin…"
  286. >"…Anon."
  287. >Your mother gasps.
  288. >"You didn't!"
  289. >"I'm sorry!" You practically shout over the phone. "It just happened!"
  290. >"Anon, you know the law!"
  291. >"I know, I know! It was in the heat of the moment when we ha-…Decided we liked each other!"
  292. "What's going on?" You hear your dad ask over your mom's phone.
  293. >"Anon is dating-…" She begins to whisper. "A monster…"
  294. >"Fuck yeah, son!" Your dad cheers. "Fuck the system!"
  295. >"Charles!"
  296. >"Oh my god…" You rub the bridge of your nose.
  297. >You sit on the park bench in silence, your mother is as quiet as a dead night.
  298. >"Well…" She starts again. "When can we meet her?"
  299. >"I think I should talk to her about something like this." You say. "With the situation and all."
  300. >"Well. I wouldn't want to get you in trouble." Your mom states.
  301. >"Those Agency fuckers got their nose in everything." Your dad adds.
  302. >"Charles!"
  303. >"I'll…I'll talk to her, alright?"
  304. >"Okay, Anon. We'll talk in a bit. Love you!"
  305. >Your mom hangs up.
  306. >Ah shit.
  307.
  308. >You stand outside Lin's front door for quite some time.
  309. >With a deep breath, you muster the courage to go inside.
  310. >It's a big place, but she's always humming, so she's not hard to find.
  311. >You find her in the kitchen, making a smoothie with a towel over her shoulders, must have been working out.
  312. >"Hey, Anon!" She greets you with a warm smile. "Where have you been?"
  313. >"Uh. Just out…We need to talk."
  314. >"Talk? What about?" She asks, pouring herself a glass.
  315. >"Well…I talked to my parents."
  316. >"Oh neat! What'd you talk about?"
  317. >"I Kind of…told them we're dating."
  318. >Lin stood frozen for a moment.
  319. >Then she dropped her smoothie.
  320. >"You did what!?" She shouted. "What the hell!?"
  321. >"I'm sorry it just kind of came out! I'm a terrible liar!" You tell her.
  322. >"Yeah, I'll say!" She says, approaching you and knocking you upside the head.
  323. >"Do you have any idea what would happen if this got out!? They'd send a bunch of mooks of separate us! Or worse: MON! You could go to prison and I could get deported!"
  324. >"I know…But I mom would never tell anyone, I swear!" You try to defend yourself. "She's kept every single secret ever told to her, even from her enemies!"
  325. >The two of you sat in silence.
  326. >"Well…What now?" She asks.
  327. >"They think you sound nice…They'd like to meet you."
  328. >"…I think we can get away with it. It's not like the agency is constantly watching us anyway…"
  329. >You smile. "Thanks…"
  330. >"Aw, how can I say no to that face!" She says, squishing your cheeks in her hands and pecking you on the lips. "Try to keep it adorable after your match on friday, okay?"
  331. >"I'll try…"
  332.
  333. >Oh man.
  334. >Oh, ho man.
  335. >This is awkward.
  336. >Like, really awkward.
  337. >Not so much for your dad, he seems fine with the whole situation.
  338. >Though more with your mom.
  339. >She's not a racist, per say. she is however, not good with different "Folks".
  340. >Humans of other races are just fine, but what do you even talk to Monsters about? Do they like the same things?
  341. >"So, Lin." Your mother starts. "What is it you do?"
  342. >Nice, ma.
  343. >"Oh, uhm. I run the branch of my dad's gym here in New York." She explains.
  344. >"Huh, active and business minded." Your dad nudges your shoulder. "She's a keeper, Anon!"
  345. >"Charles!"
  346. >You cough awkwardly.
  347. >Lin looks at her plate, her face flush.
  348. >"So…how did you two meet?" Your mother changes the subject.
  349. >"Well…" Lin plays with her fork, trying not to smile. "I found him working out in a train yard. When he told me he wanted to be a boxer, I offered to let him use my private gym for free as long as I could manage him. Then we-"
  350. >Lin cut herself off. "Uh. Realized we had a lot in common and started dating."
  351. >"I heard my boy's kickin' ass in the ring." Your dad speaks up. "You think he's got a chance at world champion, Lin?"
  352. >"Well, of course!" Lin huffs. "If he pushes himself!"
  353. >"Hot damn! How about that, my boy the world champion!"
  354. >"I don't know, I kind of like being in the intermediate league." You add.
  355. >"Aw come on, boy! You're tough as nails! Lin can turn you into a punching machine in no time!"
  356. >"You think I can do that!?" Lin asks, suddenly hyped.
  357. >"Sure! My boy can do anything! He just needs that extra push!"
  358. >You finish dinner and stay for awhile to talk with your folks.
  359. >It's mostly your dad asking Lin about her gym and where she comes from.
  360. >When it begins to get late, you two decide to head out.
  361. >You say your goodbyes and begin walking down the night streets.
  362. >"Gee, it's pretty dark out." Lin comments.
  363. >"Yeah." You agree.
  364. >Lin is walking beside you.
  365. >Suddenly, her ears lower and she looks around to see if anyone is around.
  366. >When the coast is clear, Lin hops a step closer to you and hugs on to your arm.
  367. >"Really?" You ask.
  368. >"What? No one can see us…"
  369. >"What if someones looking out their window?"
  370. >"What are they gonna do? Call the police?"
  371. >Lin giggles and rests her head on your shoulder.
  372. >"I'm glad I found you, Anon."
  373. >"I'm glad you found me too."
  374. >You enjoy the quiet walk down the empty street.
  375. >"You know I'm not a puppy, right?" You ask.
  376. >"I'm still gonna keep you, though."
  377.
  378. >Friday.
  379. >The fight could have gone better than expected.
  380. >Who would have thought that big Japanese guy with the pompadour would be so tough.
  381. >You can't even remember his name, kakatura or something like that.
  382. >You think.
  383. >Fortunately, ring doc said you didn't have a concussion.
  384. >Your head is still pounding and you feel like you're gonna piss blood.
  385. >You're lying on Lin's couch now with an ice pack on your head.
  386. >"H-here!" Lin rushes back into the living room in a hurry, carrying an arms full of supplies.
  387. >Band aids, aspirin, extra ice packs and…?
  388. >"Chocolate milk?" You ask.
  389. >"Well, I thought you may need something to cheer you up…"
  390. >Lin's tail flaps meekly before she goes back into full on worry mode.
  391. >She does her best to sooth your aching muscles with her hands as well as a few heat patches.
  392. >Band-aids on your cuts.
  393. >A glass of chocolate milk here and there…
  394. >You look at Lin, still worrying herself sick about you.
  395. >You begin to smile and raise your hand.
  396. >"Lin."
  397. >Her ears perk up and she looks at you. "What is it?"
  398. >Your reach forward and put your hand on her head.
  399. >Lin flinches a little while your hand brushes over her ear and under her hair.
  400. >You're brush her cheek with your thumb. "How the hell did I ever manage without you?"
  401. >Lin smiles and leans into your hand, hold on to your wrist and the back of your hand with hers.
  402. >"Jeez, why do you always gotta go and say sappy stuff like that?" She asks. "You're making me blush.
  403. >"Guess it's the head trauma talking." You laugh. "But no matter what. I'm glad we happened."
  404. >"Me too…" Lin agrees, leaning in to kiss you gently on the lips.
  405. >"ow!" You cry after the kiss. "Ow ow ow!"
  406. >Link looks down and notices her hand is resting on a giant bruise.
  407. >"Oh no!" She panics. "Sorry sorry sorry!"
  408. >And again she's in worry mode.
  409. >Couldn't ask for a better bed-side nurse.
  410.
  411. >A day into your recovery, Lin received a letter from the government.
  412. >They're sending someone from the agency to check up on her.
  413. >To make things less suspicious, the two of you decided that you should go stay at your place for a day or two.
  414. >Good thing too, means you can pick up some stuff.
  415. >Your basically just paying for that place now as an emergency shelter.
  416. >You don't hear from Lin for two days and start to worry.
  417. >You decide the coast is clear, and even if it isn't, you could probably just say you use her gym. There are plenty of people in the boxing community that can vouch for her as your manager.
  418. >You arrive at her place.
  419. >No humming.
  420. >No call for her to let you know where she is.
  421. >It's quiet.
  422. >"…Lin?" You ask.
  423. >"Here…" She finally calls.
  424. >You breath a sigh of relief.
  425. >You find her in the bedroom, sitting with a letter in her hands.
  426. >She looks up at you with misty eyes.
  427. >"Lin? What's wrong?" You ask.
  428. >"It's from my dad…" She explains.
  429. >"Anon…I…I have to go…For awhile."
  430. >"What?" You ask. "Why? For how long?"
  431. >"I don't know." She says, shaking her head. "But dad is…Worried about me…"
  432. >"Worried about what?"
  433. >"Someone may have found out about our…About us." Lin continues. "My dad heard the rumors and got…Worried, he-..He doesn't want me to get in trouble with human law. I could be devastating to the family."
  434. >"I…But." You stutter, not sure what to say.
  435. >You feel a lump in your throat, like your body is demanding that you cry or something. You hold it back, you haven't cried since you were a kid.
  436. >You take a deep breath and push it back. Someone had to be level headed.
  437. >"How long do you have?" You ask her.
  438. >"I leave in a week." She says.
  439. >"Then I'm going to cancel my next match." You tell her.
  440. >"What do you mean?" Lin asks.
  441. >You take a sit beside her and take her hands in yours.
  442. >"I mean I'm not going to let this week go by before my eyes." You say. "I don't give a shit if the Agency or MON or whoever finds out. I'm spending it with you…"
  443.
  444. >7 days to yourselves.
  445. >7 days until you step into an uncertain future.
  446. >You and Lin decide unanimously to ignore your time limit.
  447. >It's going to be seven days together without thinking about her departure, the two of you are on a honey moon of sorts.
  448. >You want to start small and work your way up, make every day special.
  449. >So you ask.
  450. >"What do you want to do today?" You ask her. "Something you enjoy doing with me."
  451. >Lin ponders on it for a moment, tapping her claw against her cheek.
  452. >"I got it!"
  453. -
  454. >You're sitting on the corner of the couch with your legs up on the cushion and covered in a fuzzy blanket.
  455. >Lin is picking out a movie for the two of you to watch.
  456. >She looks at a case for awhile and nods to herself, putting the DVD into the player before joining you under the blanket.
  457. >With her back against your chest, she pressed the tray button on the remote and the DVD player closes.
  458. >ALIENS
  459. >"Woah, really?" You ask .
  460. >"These movies are fun to watch with you." She huffs. "You keep them interesting."
  461. >The movie starts and you can already feel Lin curling up against you.
  462. >Now's your time to strike.
  463. >Every time the movie gets quiet, your return to your previous strategy of poking her and blowing against her ears.
  464. >Its effective, causing Lin to squirm against you.
  465. >You decide a new technique.
  466. >You know when the aliens are going to pop up, and you place your hands on on her stomach under her tank top.
  467. >Your idea is to reach up and get a little fondle action going.
  468. >As soon as you know the aliens are going to pop up you swoop under her shirt. But you slip.
  469. >But wait… What are those nubs?
  470. >Lin yelps and squirms even more in your grasp.
  471. >"Woah, really?" You ask with a boyish giggle. "How come I never noticed these before!?"
  472. >"S-shut up!" Lin protests, rubbing her thighs together. "Don't touch them like that, they're really sensitive!"
  473. >The movie continues but you're more interesting in fondling her breasts at this point, the cute noises she makes are more interesting than the movie you've seen 1000 times anyway.
  474. >When it's finally done, Lin is a moaning mess in your lap. resting her head against your chest.
  475. >"Heh, guess I got carried away."
  476. >Lin doesn't say anything, instead she grabs your arm and bites down on it with a loud "Nom!"
  477. >You yelp in pain. "Okay Okay, I'm sorry!"
  478. >At least you don't have to watch Alien 3.
  479.
  480. >You spent the day relaxing with Lin.
  481. >Wish she had warned you about the next day.
  482. >Lin stands at the edge of the park, running in place.
  483. >She's wearing her sports gear as well as a head band.
  484. >"So we're going for a walk?" You ask.
  485. >"Not just a walk!" Lin huffs confidently. "A Kobold walk!"
  486. >"Aren't those like, 10 miles or something?"
  487. >"Pfffff." Lin blows raspberries. "10? You better hold on tight!"
  488. >She begins her jog and you follow behind her.
  489. >Time passes.
  490. >You lost count about how many times you two circled the park.
  491. >Your lungs are on fire.
  492. >Your legs are noodly.
  493. >Still, you fight desperately to keep pace with Lin.
  494. >She doesn't seem worse for ware, though.
  495. >She's sweating, but she shows no sign of stopping.
  496. >"Come on, anon!" she shouts back at you. "Keep pace!"
  497. >"How…Are…You…Now…Tired!?" You ask.
  498. >"Kobolds love to go for walks!" She states proudly.
  499. >"This…Isn't…A walk!"
  500. >You finally lose footing and trip.
  501. >Luckily, you aimed for the grass.
  502. >You can hear Lin giggling above you. "You okay, Anon?"
  503. >"The spirit is willing but the body is damaged." You admit, crawling under a trees shade.
  504. >Lin skips to your side and crouches over. "You gonna be okay, tough guy?"
  505. >"I was going to say I thought we were going to have fun." You say. "But you're probably having tons of fun."
  506. >"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't." Lin grins and sits down beside you.
  507. >She sits quietly for a few seconds while you regain the feelings in her legs. Suddenly, her ears lower in alert and her tail wags, she looks around to see if anyone was there.
  508. >The coast is clear and Lin's grin widens. She lies down and sneaks under your arm, resting her head on your chest.
  509. >"I'm really sweaty." You tell her.
  510. >"I've made my choice." She tells you.
  511. >It would be nicer if she wasn't sweaty as well.
  512. >"I can smell myself, I don't even want to imagine what this smells like for you."
  513. >"I'm no quitter." She huffs.
  514. >Eventually you stop complaining and just enjoy the time with her. two days down.
  515.
  516.
  517. >The next day.
  518. >Carnival is in town.
  519. >Or rather, out of town, but not hard to get to.
  520. >For the first time in a very long time, you got gas into your old car and got her moving again.
  521. >Lin didn't even know what a carnival was three years ago, let alone ever been to one.
  522. >Her eyes lit up at the sight.
  523. >Exciting rides, greasy food, cash-grab games to play, and all those people!
  524. >And with monsters being integrated into society, the carnival is more lively than ever.
  525. >There's so many people and monsters here than no one is even paying attention to the other people around them.
  526. >Lin notices this too and takes her chance.
  527. >You feel her fingers sneak in between yours.
  528. >Without even flinching, you tighten your grip on her hand.
  529. >You wait a few moments and then peak over at her.
  530. >Lin is looking at the ground, her face bright red.
  531. >Got'er.
  532. >"Step right up! Step right up!" You hear a man classically announce. "See who's the greatest pugilist on this side of the united states!"
  533. >It's one of those machines where you punch a large red cushion.
  534. >"You there!" The spokesman shouts, pointing at you. You and Lin immediately let go of each other's hands.
  535. >"Care to test your strength!? Get the high score and win a prize!"
  536. >"These games are usually rigged…" You mutter.
  537. >"But Anon!" Lin gasps. "look at that!"
  538. >It's a giant teddy bear.
  539. >As in, taller than you giant teddy bear.
  540. >Lin's eyes are sparkling now.
  541. >"Fine." You sigh, handing the man a five dollar bill.
  542. >You're sure that, no matter how hard you hit it, you're going to get a low score.
  543. >May as well go all in…
  544. >You dig your feet firmly against the ground and take a stance.
  545. >Deep breath.
  546. >Clenched fist.
  547. >Step forward.
  548. >WHAM-CRACK
  549. >You feel the cushion give way and suddenly receive a sharp pain in your hand.
  550. >"Oh." You say, trying to ignore the metal jutting into your skin.
  551. >Your fist tore through the cushion and busted into the cheaply built machine.
  552. >You spokesman is speechless.
  553. >You look at him, then pull your fist out of the hole, outside of a few cuts, nothing serious. "I'll take the bear."
  554. >The day begins to end after spending the rest of the day with Lin, who is now happily carrying around a bear taller than she is.
  555. >How are you going to fit it in your car?
  556.
  557. >The week flew by.
  558. >You've spent 5 months with Lin.
  559. >At first your manager, then your friend, then your girlfriend.
  560. >You have this light feeling in your heart whenever you look at her face.
  561. >The way she smiles, her laugh, how she worries about you when you get hurt, all of the little quirks she has.
  562. >If this is what love feels like then you don't want it.
  563. >You're brought back to the crushing reality that you may never see her again.
  564. >You don't want that, you don't want to be apart from her.
  565. >You don't want to be alone again.
  566. >The final day. You have one day and one night with Lin, you want to make it count.
  567. >You sit in the living room, your hands together and your eyes towards the ground. You don't want to think about tomorrow, but you know it will creep up on you sooner than later…
  568. >"Are you ready to go?"
  569. >You look up and almost lose your breath.
  570. >Lin stands in front of you, her face lightly scarlet.
  571. >She's wearing a pair of flip flop slippers, and a white summers dress with a knee-length skirt as well as a wide brim hat.
  572. >This is the girliest you've ever seen Lin, and it takes you a minute to regain your composure.
  573. >"Anon?" she asks. "Come on, don't stare at me like that, I'll get embarrassed…"
  574. >"Uh! Sorry!" You cough, standing up. "Alright, let's go!"
  575. >Montauk is two hours away. You would have gone somewhere nicer, but with the time given to you, the beach away from the city will have to do.
  576. >You leave early in the morning, befo
  577.
  578. >You reach your destination.
  579. >The sky is now a bright blue with out a few clouds peppering the sky.
  580. >The two of you get out and Lin immediately starts kicking her legs.
  581. >"Gyaaaah, sleepy legs." She complains.
  582. >"You gonna live?" You ask.
  583. >"I don't know. Go on without me!" Lin says sarcastically, slapping the back of her hand against her forehead.
  584. >You're greeted by the sight of a hamlet with a lighthouse, nothing but green grass and trees until you reach the ocean.
  585. >"I wish we came in the winter." Lin whines. "I heard you can see seals that time of the year."
  586. >"I've never seen a seal in person." You add.
  587. >"Really? But you've lived so close to the ocean!"
  588. >"Never been to Montauk, really."
  589. >You stop at a convenient store to pick up some drinks before you start your day.
  590. >"Hm, a liminal, huh?" The elderly store owner says, adjusting his glasses. "Can't say we get many of you folks out here. S'is a nice change of pace from the usual visitors."
  591. >"Do you see a lot of tourists?" Lin asks.
  592. >"Well sure, but usually mid summer. You came at a good time, most folks left just last week." he explains. "Should be nice n' quiet for you two."
  593. >You pay for the drinks and say goodbye to the clerk, who waves at you as you leave.
  594. >The two of you start your journey at hither hills state park.
  595. >It's empty, save for the woodland critters and seagulls squawking around.
  596. >You take the initiative for once and hold on to Lin's hand, making sure to get your fingers locked, she seems to like that.
  597. >"It's so nice out here." She sighs. "I wish we brought camping gear.
  598. >"I've always liked sleeping in a bed myself."
  599. >"You just need to learn how to appreciate nature."
  600. >"Yeah well, nature doesn't appreciate me all that much."
  601. >"Well, I appreciate you." Lin says with a grin, hugging on to your arm.
  602. >You decide that it may not be a good idea to go all that deep into the park, Lin would have no problem getting out, it's you that'd be left in there for awhile.
  603. >At noon, you find a place to eat. A nice seafood restaurant by the beach.
  604. >You both decide to get a lobster, neither of you having had it before.
  605. >The time is spent eating and talking about what you want to do next.
  606. >"Hey." Lin speaks up. "I dare you to eat the eye."
  607. >"What's in it for me?" You ask.
  608. >"I won't make fun of you for not eating the eyes." She adds.
  609. >You eat the eye.
  610. >They taste like shit. But you finish them anyway. Cause that's what a man does.
  611.
  612. >With lunch done, you begin to explore the town itself.
  613. >"Hey, what's that?" Lin asks, pointing at the flashy building across the street.
  614. >"Hm?" You look over. "Oh, mini golf. You wanna go?"
  615. >"Mini golf? I've never actually played mini golf."
  616. >"Well, easy win for me then."
  617. >Lin apparently didn't like your taunt that much, practically dragging you to the field.
  618. >6th hole.
  619. >"Don't choke." you say, sitting on the bunch.
  620. >"I'm not choking!" Lin cries.
  621. >"You've bogey'd every hole so far.
  622. >"It's just…I have very big hands!"
  623. >"Make whatever excuse you want."
  624. >"Grr…"
  625. >Lin puts.
  626. >The golf ball goes towards the hole…
  627. >Going…
  628. >Going!
  629. >Going!!!
  630. >Missed.
  631. >"This sucks!" Lin pouts, dropping her putter. "I quit!"
  632. >"Aw come on, Lin!" You call out. "Don't be a sore loser!"
  633. >"Go away!"
  634. >"Stop pouting!"
  635. >"I'll pout as much as I want!"
  636. >You follow her around town for a bit, but Lin is determined to be mad at you, crossing her arms and looking away with a "Hmph!" every time you try to get her to look at you.
  637. >Until you say the magic words.
  638. >"You want some ice cream?"
  639. >Suddenly her ears perk up and her tail starts wagging.
  640. >"No…" She huffs.
  641. >"Yeah you doooo." you tease.
  642. >"No I don't!"
  643. >"Tail doesn't lie."
  644. >"Come on." You say, taking a hold of her hand. "Lets go get some ice cream."
  645. >Ice cream acquired and pouting successfully suppressed.
  646. >The sun is beginning to set. You and Lin have one more stop.
  647. >The beach. To watch the sunset. Possibly your last together…
  648.
  649. >You walk along the beach and simply talk.
  650. >At this point, neither of you seem to care about keeping up appearances.
  651. >And neither do the people you pass by, who either don't notice or don't care that you're holding hands.
  652. >The ones that do don't say anything.
  653. >Lin tugs on your shirt and points at a little dune of sand on the beach.
  654. >"Wanna sit there?" She asks.
  655. >"Sure."
  656. >You sit down with a THUD, into the sand.
  657. >Lin joins you a second later to your left, hugging on to her knees and looking at the ocean.
  658. >"I never saw the ocean until I came to America." She admits with a sad smile. "Where I come from, we all live either inland or under ground. My grandpa owned a farm on land, and I would always go running across the country side, going on adventures and making up stories in my head. I never had much in the way of friends and my parents were always busy with work."
  659. >You looked at her as she hugged her knees tighter, struggling to keep her smile from turning into a frown.
  660. >"I was so amazed when I saw a human city. Your buildings stretch into the sky and there are so many people… But I always felt lonely, humans were either afraid to look at me or even talk to me…"
  661. >You watched her eyes mist up, Lin stopped to wipe her wrist across her eyes.
  662. >"I don't know why I approached you…I just wanted to try my luck, I guess. But you were so nice to me, you looked me in the eyes and called me by my name. You talked to me like I was a friend, a person…"
  663. >Her lip began to tremble and tears flowed freely from her eyes. She began to sob and wipe her palms on her face in a desperate struggle to make the crying stop.
  664. >"I don't want to go." She sobbed. "I don't want to be by myself again…I want to be here with you…"
  665. >You didn't know what to do. You knew you couldn't cry, you had to be strong for her. You decided to do the only thing you could do and hold her, letting her cry into your shirt while you did your best to comfort her, gently petting her head and brushing her ears.
  666. >The idea crossed your mind to run away with her, disappear and find a new place to live. But they would find you, and the consequences would tear you two apart forever.
  667. >Be strong, be there for her, let her know that you care. That's all you could do for now…
  668. >The sun was setting and soon the moon began to take it's place in the sky. It was time to call it a night.
  669. >You stopped a hotel and ordered a room with two beds, you had no intention to use both but it would make things a little less suspicious.
  670. >The room itself was nice, with wooden walls and a ranch motive to it.
  671. >You had a nice view of the ocean from the balcony and it was at a good temperature.
  672. >You turned back to Lin, who was standing in the middle of the room with her hand rubbing her other arm. She was looking distraught and towards the ground.
  673. >You knew nothing you could say would make tomorrow not happen. Words weren't enough. But for the night, you were determined to make Lin forget about tomorrow.
  674. >'Lin…" you spoke to her, cupping her cheeks in your hands and pulling her vision up until her eyes met yours.
  675. >You contemplated. Hug her? Just hold her for awhile? The stress got to you and your body moved on it's own.
  676. >You softly pressed your lips against hers, and she returned your kiss that very second.
  677. >Before you knew it, her white summers dress was on the floor.
  678. --
  679. The curtains were closed, the moon was in the air, and Lin was pressed against you in nothing but her lacy bra and panties. It started with gentle kissing but it quickly spiraled into the two of you exploring one another's mouths with your tongues, gently massaging and tasting your mixed saliva. When you finally found the willpower to remove your mouth from hers, you moved down to her neck, kissing it gently while your hands worked her bra. It gave way and the restraints fell to the ground, freeing her breasts from their confinement.
  680. “Ahn…” Lin gasps while you continue to kiss her neck. She grabs on to your shirt as you pick her up by her thighs and lay her down on the bed.
  681. You move from her neck, to her chest, to her stomach, and finally her pelvis. With one slow motion, you lift her legs into the air and pull her panties from her body. Lin watches, biting her lower lip as you spread her legs and descend on her.
  682. You give it a slow lick at first, getting accustomed to the taste. She gasps in delight as your tongue makes contact with her folds. You give it another lick, dragging your tongue until you touch the clitoris, finally, feeling accustomed to the taste, you “Dig in”.
  683. Lin moans and arches her back as your tongue enters her, gripping on to the sheets while you explore her walls. You drink her juice like it was honey, too lost in your own primal urges to care about the taste.
  684. “Anon! H-hold-Ahn! Hold on! I- Eek!- Slow down a bit!” Lin begs, writhing in place while you do your work.
  685. In a panic, Lin grabs a hold of a pillow and bites into it, moaning into it while her body tenses up and she loses her will to fight.
  686. You pull yourself out from between her legs, unable to hold back your boyish giggle while she lies on her side and pants with teary eyes.
  687. “Giving up already?” You ask.
  688. “Not on…Your life…” Lin pants.
  689. You lie down with your chest to her back and wrap your arms around her, one over and one under beneath her. You left hand rubs her clitoris while the other plays and prods with whatever flesh it can grab. Lin bites her lip again and squirms into your grasp.
  690. “Stop teasing me!” She demands, pressing herself harder against you.
  691. You oblige and undo your pants, pulling out your erect shaft. You help Lin on to her hands and knees and enter her slowly, enjoying every ripple of her walls. Lin buries her face into the pillow until you pull her up and cup her breasts in your hands, enjoying their form while you begin to thrust.
  692. She yelps loudly with every thrust until she reaches back and grabs on to your hair, turning her head and locking lips with yours. The heat in your chest rises, your body becomes more and more dependant on her heat. You pull out of her and flip her to her back, entering her again a moment later.
  693. Lin wraps her legs around you and locks lips again, refusing to let you go. You thrust into her with vigor, wrestling her tongue with yours. Your hand explores the rest of her body, kneading her breast or teasing one of her nipples hidden. You can feel your legs weakening and the pressure build up in your dick. You have no choice but to surrender.
  694. Lin practically tears the shirt off your back as you release into her, moaning weakly and losing her grip around your waist with her legs. You struggle to stop yourself from toppling over her, resting with your forehead against her shoulder.
  695. “Wow…” Lin sighs. “That was new.”
  696. “Yeah…”
  697. “Yick.” She suddenly says, sticking her tongue out. “I can taste myself from you.”
  698. You couldn't help but laugh. “I guess kissing you again is out of the question then?”
  699. “I'll find a way to live with it.” She whispers, kissing you deeply again.
  700. You spent your last night with Lin the way you wanted to. And didn't give a fuck if anyone heard you…
  701. But morning still came…
  702. --
  703. >Dawn of the final day.
  704. >You leave early to not miss Lin's flight.
  705. >A part of you wants to drive slowly, maybe she'll have to reschedule…
  706. >Every mile closer to the air port is like a thousand knives going into your spine.
  707. >You walk all the way to the gate with her.
  708. >Every part of you screams at you to beg her to stay, to run away or whatever you can do just to be with her.
  709. >"Well…" Lin sighs. "I guess this is it."
  710. >"Yeah…" You mutter. "I guess…"
  711. >"Well, thanks for having me." Lin smiles, doing her best to keep up appearance in front of the other people waiting for their ride.
  712. >"Yeah, It was…nice having you."
  713. >She gave you one last smile and turned to leave.
  714. >One step.
  715. >Two.
  716. >Three…
  717. >Four…..
  718. >"Lin!" You choke.
  719. >Lin's ears perk up and she turns around.
  720. >"…Don't go…"
  721. >"Hey…" Lin smiles and walks back to you. "What are you crying for?"
  722. >You didn't even notice it yourself.
  723. >Tears rolling down your face, your lips quivering.
  724. >She wiped your tears on one of her fingers. "Come on, toughen up…"
  725. >"I…" You can't find the words… "I…"
  726. >Finally, you give up and look to the ground.
  727. >Lin puts her bag on the ground and wraps her arms around your neck. Uncaring of who's watching.
  728. >"Hey…Do you love me?" she asks.
  729. >"Huh?"
  730. >"Now that I noticed it. We've never said those words to each other." Lin mentions. "I guess we just knew…But, do you love me?"
  731. >"Yeah…" You nod. "I love you…"
  732. >Lin smiled warmly and moved in, kissing you on the lips. "Then I can wait. No matter how long it takes… We'll be together again."
  733. >You don't know if you believe her, but you nod in hope. "Okay…"
  734. >Finally, she parts, picking up her things, waving at you one last time and leaving through the gate. She didn't turn around after that, knowing that she wouldn't be able to leave if she did.
  735. >You watched her plane lift off before you left, getting into your car and leaving the airport behind…
  736. >You are alone again.
  737.
  738. ----
  739. >Almost four years ago, the world was introduced to monsters.
  740. >Doing well in integrating with human society, liminals were opened up to a world of opportunity.
  741. >In a bid to make sports more interesting, monsters were given permission to participate in certain human leagues.
  742. >Rog is a lizardman, he's always been a fighter.
  743. >Though he proved himself as martial artist in his home town. His fame had never left the boarders of his tribe.
  744. >He saw this as an opportunity. To prove that his fists were the strongest in the world!
  745. >His first opponent was a human of the same weight. What better way to make a name for himself than crushing a human the first round?
  746. >One minute and thirty seconds into the first round.
  747. >Rog stumbles.
  748. >He tries to put up his guard but the fist gets through anyway.
  749. >Desperately he throws a punch, but is rewarded with an uppercut to his chin.
  750. >He's still on his feet though, he can bring this ba-
  751. >Another devastating fist crashed into his cheek.
  752. >His mouth guard flew from his mouth as well as a bit of blood.
  753. >Rog span on his feet and crashed into the turnbuckle.
  754. >His vision became blurry.
  755. >"That thing isn't human…" He thought to himself as he slumped against the turnbuckle.
  756. >He gazed at the shadowy figure towering over him.
  757. >"That's a demon in human skin…"
  758. "Knock out!" the referee calls.
  759. >The bell rings.
  760. >You're standing above a battered and bruised lizard man.
  761. >You were hoping a monster would put up a better fight than the last nine or ten guys.
  762. >Once you're elected the winner, you just leave the ring.
  763. >The money will be in the mail.
  764. >It's been six months.
  765. >Six months since you've seen her.
  766. >Wherever she went, it's just a black zone.
  767. >No phone, no internet, no nothing.
  768. >Guess those are all human inventions anyway. Probably hasn't gotten that far yet…
  769. >You look yourself in the mirror.
  770. >Baggy eyes, beard out of control, longer hair.
  771. >You struggle not to punch your mirror to pieces.
  772. >Better to just drink a few beers and watch TV.
  773.
  774. >You open the front door to a man in a black suit and sunglasses.
  775. >Landlord must have let him in.
  776. >He stands there with a stern stare, you can feel him glaring at you through his sun glasses.
  777. >Finally, you shrug.
  778. >"What do you want?" You ask plainly.
  779. >"Are you anon?"
  780. >"What gave it away?"
  781. >"I'm Agent Riff of the Integration services."
  782. >"If you haven't noticed, I don't really have enough room to be a host family."
  783. >"Well." Riff coughs.
  784. >"I also have no intentions of moving…"
  785. >"If you would just let me speak-"
  786. >"Have a good da-"
  787. >As you're closing the door, riff sticks his foot in the door.
  788. >"Owy owy owy owy!" He complains rather comically, hopping on one foot.
  789. >"Alright, I guess I owe you this." You tell him. "You have five minutes."
  790. >"Anon, we've been watching your boxing career for quite some time now." Riff explains.
  791. >"Yeah?"
  792. >"Human sports have become quite the popular pass time in the monster world." He explains. "So much so that we've been invited to one of their sporting events."
  793. >"Who was invited?" You ask. "The world?"
  794. >"No, no. The agency handles pretty much everything monster-human related. We were invited."
  795. >"Just you."
  796. >"Well. We're supposed to bring humanities best athletes along."
  797. >"I'm nowhere near the best boxer." You say. "Try asking that Japanese guy that knocked me out a few months ago. Or Mike Bison."
  798. >"We'll the thing is." He goes on. "You're the only one who's defeated a liminal in competition. Humans can't outrun centuar's, out- shot put ogres, or out swim mermaids. But you knocked out a member of a species quite notorious for their fighting prowess. and in the first round. So there has to be something special about you."
  799. >You wanted to mention your training, but you left that out.
  800. >"You move like a ghost and you hit like a wrecking ball." You compliments.
  801. >"Flattery is always nice." you mention.
  802. >"We're willing to pay you handsomely if you go along. As well as all expenses paid on your trip." Riff looks at his watch. "But, it appears that I'm out of time."
  803. >Riff hands you a card. "If you're interested. Give me a call."
  804. >Riff gives you a slight bow and then leaves.
  805. >You close the door while looking at the card.
  806. >You stare at it like you're in a trance. Then suddenly, you sigh and open your door.
  807. >"Riff, wait up!" You say, stopping him at the stairs.
  808. >"When are we leaving?"
  809.
  810. >You fell asleep on the flight.
  811. >But you don't remember falling asleep.
  812. >Three hours into the flight, you blinked and suddenly a few more hours passed.
  813. >First class food and drinks were pretty swanky, though.
  814. >There were a few other humans on the flight.
  815. >From what you understood, they were mostly rugby and soccer players with a few track runners and cyclists peppered in.
  816. >You were the only boxer.
  817. >Out of all the famous pugilists in the world, they picked some small time runt?
  818. >Did they ask for too much money or what?
  819. >You try not to think too much into it. It just means more pressure on you, no biggy.
  820. >"This is your captain speaking." You hear over the comm. "We are about to arrive at our destination, so just hang tight."
  821. >He wasn't kidding when he said hang tight.
  822. >You jump and shake in your seat.
  823. >Looking outside the window, you notice that your giant planet is making a stop on a dirt runway.
  824. >Guess air travel wasn't on top of their to do list.
  825. >Stairs are brought to the plane and you and the rest of the passengers are led out.
  826. >Just then, you're hit with a tidal wave of shouting and screaming.
  827. >Monsters of various shapes and sizes flank both sides of your path.
  828. >"What the hell?" You whisper to yourself.
  829. >"Fan girls." An absolute bear of a man behind you explains, he must have heard you. "Sports are a big thing with monsters now. The idea of human athletes out performing monsters kind of gets them going."
  830. >"Really?" You ask.
  831. >"Oh yeah. I've found piles of used panties in my hotel room before. Guess we're exotic or something."
  832. >You're given the go ahead to leave the plane.
  833. >"Don't stop to sign autographs or take pictures." The man explains further. "It'll block up the walk way. Do it when you get out of check in if you really want to."
  834. >You take his words to heart, but still wave and nod at monsters that are focusing on you.
  835. >The guy was right about the situation, and many athletes were suddenly bombarded by droves of liminals trying to get pictures taken or autographs signed.
  836. >Luckily, boxing isn't really the most wide spread sport these days, it's still popular. don't be mistaken, but it's not as hip as basketball or football.
  837. >Still, you're stopped three times by liminals that recognize you. You do your best to smile and be friendly, but you're not in the mood, which seems to be the way things are these days.
  838. >When you finish talking and putting on a show, you're led into a limo that takes you to where you're staying. A rather swanky villa, like something you'd see in Hawaii or the Caribbeans.
  839. >Your introduction and fight are tomorrow. Everyone seems to be out and about, taking pictures and talking to the locals. But the sun going down is more than enough reason for you to stay inside and not deal with it.
  840. >After a quick shower, you put on a bathrobe courtesy of the villa, and prepare to go to bed.
  841. >Until you hear a knock on your door…
  842. >You sigh and open the door. "Hello?"
  843. >You actually have to look down.
  844. >An elderly looking man with round glasses, a white mustache, ant a suit is standing in front of you. He also has the lower half of a horse…Pony? Do they make centaurs this small?
  845. >"Excuse me, mister anon sir. I am Alphonse Revierre, here on behalf of my benefactors who is very eager to see you.
  846. >"Sorry I uh, I don't really do private shows." You tell him.
  847. >"I do not wish to be rude, Master Anon, but the young lady is part of a very powerful family in this part of the world. It would be unwise to reject her request."
  848. >You sigh and wave him off. "Alright then. Give me about 5 minutes to get dressed."
  849. >"Excellent choice, sir." He rummages through his suit pocket and hands you a key. "You will find her in room 47."
  850. >Great. A extra-species booty call…
  851.
  852. >You look at the keys, then at the door.
  853. >It doesn't feel right to just barge in like some sort of secret escort.
  854. >You knock.
  855. >"Come on in!"
  856. >You stop.
  857. >You know that voice.
  858. >Your heart pounds in your chest.
  859. >You pretty much tear the door off it's hinges opening it.
  860. >There she is.
  861. >Sitting on the window frame, looking at the night sky.
  862. >She turns around and smiles, her tail wagging.
  863. >"Long time no see, stranger."
  864. >"Lin?" You ask, closing the door behind you.
  865. >"What? Surprised to see me?" She laughs. "You think I'd miss out on an event like this?"
  866. >Lin stands up from her seat and strides over to you, her fingers locked behind her back.
  867. >She stops only a few inches from you, her smile turning into a frown.
  868. >"Anon, what happened to you?" She asks.
  869. >You almost try to avoid her hand before it touches your cheek, the pads on her palms running against the hair on your face.
  870. >"Sorry…" You apologize.
  871. >"All this hair, you got bags under your eyes…" She coos. "I thought I told you to toughen up…"
  872. >"Sorry…" Is all you can say again.
  873. >"Jeez, how did you ever survive without me?"
  874. >"Sorry-"
  875. >Lin flicks you on the forehead.
  876. >"No more apologizing!" She ordered.
  877. >"So-…Okay."
  878. >Lin smiles again and wipes her hand across her face. "Now I'm getting all weepy." She laughed.
  879. >You don't say anything, but you grab her by the shoulders and pull her in.
  880. >You wrap your arms around her and she response in kind, crying into your shoulder.
  881. >"I was so scared…" She sniffled. "I was so scared I wouldn't see you again…"
  882. >"It's okay." You whisper. "I'm here now."
  883. >You held her until she finished crying. When she was okay, she managed to pry herself away from your shoulder.
  884. >"Well…" She sniffed. "We can't let you go to your first international fight looking like that. How's about a hair cut and a shave?"
  885. >"Do I have to?" You ask. "I kind of like the beard."
  886. >"It makes you look rugged." She compliments, running her fingers through it. "But you also kind of look like a bum. Meet me at the half way and get a trim?"
  887. >"Sure. I can live with that." You agree.
  888. >"Hey, look at you!" Lin giggles. "I've never seen you smile that wide!"
  889. >"Huh?" You stop and look in the mirror to your right in the room. You can't even remember the last time you weren't scowling or tired looking.
  890. >Guess it's time to get fixed up…
  891.
  892. >"Ow!"
  893. >Lin smacked you on the back of the head with the back end of her scissors.
  894. >"Really, Anon." She huffed with frustration. "Leave you alone for a few months and you turn into a crazy hermit."
  895. >Lin was cutting your hair and trimming your beard, but had apparently got frustrated with just how much hair there actually was.
  896. >"I should be charging you for this."
  897. >"I don't think 20 dollars would be much for you." You comment.
  898. >"No, but I can find other ways for you to pay me." She teased ,tugging on your beard.
  899. >"I haven't been doing much since you left. Well, outside of boxing."
  900. >"I'm surprised you survived all these years without knowing me.
  901. >She began to buzz and snip away at your beard until it was less homeless man and more respectable gentleman.
  902. >"There we go." Lin smiled. "Looking like a regular person again."
  903. >"Yeah, I feel a bit better too." You admit. "No hairs getting into my mouth anymore.
  904. >Lin's eyes narrowed and her smile widened.
  905. >She wrapped her arms around your neck and pulled you closer.
  906. >"That's good." She whispered. "Now I can do this."
  907. >Lin pressed her lips against yours and kissed you deeply.
  908. >You didn't hesitate to kiss back.
  909. >It was a sensation you missed, that warmth in your chest…
  910. >When she finally pulled away, her grin widened even further.
  911. >"Hey, what- hold up!" You call out as she pushes you until you roll out of your chair and on to the floor.
  912. >With a giggle, she follows suit and crawls on top of you.
  913. >"This has been a long time coming." She whispers into your ear before nibbling on your earlobe.
  914. >She suddenly yelped, sitting up on top of you with her tail and ears straight up.
  915. >You cupped her butt in both your hands and gave it a good squeeze.
  916. >"My, aren't you raring to go." She cooed.
  917. >"It's been a long time." You admitted, smiling awkwardly with your eyes trailing off.
  918. >"Don't worry, anon. Let's make it a night to remember."
  919.
  920. >"I need to know." You ask Lin, lying underneath the blanket with her.
  921. >"Hm?"
  922. >"How did you know I was going to be here?"
  923. >"What do you mean?"
  924. >"I'm not some big time boxer." You explain. "There's no way you would have known I'd be invited to the event unless someone told you."
  925. >"Well, there's this guy who works for the agency. Agent Riff, I think he's called."
  926. >"Wait…Why would Riff tell you I was coming?"
  927. >"Well, outside of me being your manager for a few months." Lin cringed slightly. "He was…Kind of the guy who found out we were…In a relationship…"
  928. >"…What?"
  929. >Room 66
  930. >Riff is sitting in a chair, eating pizza and reading the newest issue of OTAKU magazine.
  931. >"Oh, Hikari-Chan!" He thinks to himself, taking a bite from his pizza. "So Kawaii!'
  932. >"—-ffffffffffFFFFFFFUCKER" You shout, kicking open his door.
  933. >Riff yelps and rolls out of his chair.
  934. >"You knew!?"
  935. >"Knew what?" Riff asks, peaking from the other side of his bed.
  936. >"You knew Lin an I were in a relationship!?"
  937. >"Of course I knew!" Riff protested. "You don't think we have liminals in the agency? Most of them can smell you on her from a mile away!"
  938. >"Grnnhgh.." You were suddenly put on the defensive.
  939. >"Look, I was going to come talk to you about it. But then someone tipped off her dad and then he called me and talked about 'rumors' being spread about his daughter. Do you know how much money Kobolds have, man!? They could buy the agency 100x over! I'd be out of a job in no time!"
  940. >"Wait…" You stopped him. "Then why did you tell her I would be here?"
  941. >"one." Riff raised a finger. "Liminal land is out of human jurisdiction, the bill doesn't apply here. and 2. Isn't it romantic!?"
  942. >"…What?"
  943. >Riff suddenly became bashful. "A forbidden love once again rekindled and reunited! Laughing in the face of adversity! It's the stuff poems are made of!"
  944. >"I think you need to lay off the anime, man." You tell him.
  945. >"Hey, mind you're own business." Riff wiggles his fingers at you. "I like to watch Japanese cartoons, you like to break the law and do it with non-humans."
  946. >"So. What do I do now?" You ask him.
  947. >"What do you mean?"
  948. >"…I don't want to leave her again." You admit.
  949. >"Well… You COULD get married?"
  950. >"Married?"
  951. >"Sit down, champ." Riff pats the side of his bed. "I got some truth to lay down on you."
  952.
  953. >"So wait." You speak up. "You're saying that. Lin and I can marry?"
  954. >"Yep."
  955. >"And it's accepted by both the bill and law?"
  956. >"Exactly."
  957. >"Why?"
  958. >"It's a uh…" Riff snaps his fingers, trying to find the words. "Relationship building thing. Liminals are new to the human world. But at the same time a good number of monsters don't have males and need humans to reproduce."
  959. >"Do kobolds have males?"
  960. >"Well, yeah. Lin's dad is a Kobold. But the act applies to everyone as to not discriminate. And honestly, the pompous dicks she's around are like hot garbage compared to you."
  961. >"Is that a compliment?"
  962. >"Oh please." Riff blows raspberries and waves his hands dismissively. "Bunch of caviar eating, limp wristed, rich kiddies, which is very pathetic by Kobold standards. They're either trying to get married to her either out of wanting to get her father's money or because they're only physically attracted to her."
  963. >"I've never heard of a spoiled Kobold." You admit. "I thought they're all really athletic and sports crazy."
  964. >"No amount of culture is going to change a soft upbringing." Riff sighs. "They're the walking stereotype of what college girls thinks when they talk about the rich."
  965. >"So what you're saying is we need to elope?" You ask.
  966. >"Oh! no! No no no no no no!" Riff panics. "Lin's old man will hunt you to the ends of the Earth! And there's only so far your fists can take you!"
  967. >"So what the fuck do I do!?" You shout. "I'm not going to let some smarmy cunt go near Lin!"
  968. >"Prove you're the best!" Riff demands, jabbing you with his finger in the chest. "Prove you're bigger, badder, and tougher than every other chump that wants her! Do that, and he'll submit!"
  969. >"That's not a problem." You confirm. "I doubt they'll even get in the ring with me."
  970. >"They won't." He admits. "Too soft… All of them except for Chobrak."
  971. >"Chobrak?"
  972. >"He's a Kobold as well. Took to pugilism at an early age. Seen the guy take down a Minotaur in three good hooks. He's also interested in marrying Lin."
  973. >"…"
  974. >"But! I have faith in you!" Riff nods. "You took down a lizardman in the first round! You're not supposed to be able to do that! You're living proof that most of the shit people spread around is false! So that's your goal. You take out Chobrak! And you're in the clear!"
  975. >"So. Take out this Chobrak guy and the marriage is mine…"
  976. >"Exactly."
  977. >"Then I better get ready to knock out a few fools." You say, standing up. "Thanks, Riff."
  978. >Riff waves you off and picks up his magazine as soon as you leave.
  979. >"He ripped my favorite pictures…" He pouts, looking at the torn images of cute anime girls in swim suits.
  980.
  981. >You returned to Lin's hotel room and explained the situation.
  982. >"M-Marriage!?" She gasped.
  983. >"Yep."
  984. >"You…You want to marry me?"
  985. >"I don't see why not."
  986. >Lin was sitting on top of the bed on her legs.
  987. >You could see her face turn red, her tail began to wag chaotically.
  988. >"I never thought about marriage." She said, her hands cupping against her cheeks. "I didn't know if you were ready for that."
  989. >"Well…I mean…" You coughed. "I don't really see myself being with anyone else…"
  990. >You're suddenly tackled to the ground by a giddy Lin, who's humming happily while nuzzling against your chest.
  991. >"But wait!" She stops, sitting up on top of you. "What…What are you gonna do about the others?"
  992. >"Wait, you knew?"
  993. >"Well of course I knew, I'm not stupid!"
  994. >Her tail rests against your leg and her ears droop on her head.
  995. >"They're all super lame. But someone makes me worried…"
  996. >"You're talking about Chobrak?" You ask, sitting up.
  997. >Lin nods. "He always scared me, even when I was a kid. He's always so angry, so aggressive… But around me he just turned it off and was all friendly and nice. My dad always liked Chobrak, but I don't know what he'll do if he can get an arranged marriage…"
  998. >"If you don't want to marry him then just tell your dad." you recommend.
  999. >"It's not that simple. Chobrak is from a really powerful family. My dad believes if they bond in blood, then they'll have an iron grip on both the monster world and the human one."
1000. >"So what you're saying is." You say. "I need to show your dad what kind of chump this Chobrak really is."
1001. >"How are you gonna do that."
1002. >You grab on to Lin's shoulders and kiss her reassuringly on the lips. "I'm gonna make him show his true colors. Then knock him out in front of 20,000 people."
  1003.
1004. >You set your plan into motion.
1005. >Talking to Alphonse, Lin's tiny centaur butler if you could arrange a meeting with Lin's father.
1006. >He seemed more than willing to help out.
1007. >You sat in the middle of a rather large living room.
1008. >The vintage love seat you sat on was less than comfortable, but it sure as shit looked expensive.
1009. >The walls were lined with antiques and trophies from all around the world. Lin's dad must be quite the explorer.
1010. >That or hes not frugal with his money.
1011. >"Ahem." Alphonse cleared his throat. "Introducing to you, Master Elijah Brownor III."
1012. >You didn't know the proper etiquette of the situation. So you just stood up, it seemed polite to you.
1013. >A kobold entered a room. He was a tad shorter than you and was only a little less than equal in the muscle department, but he was by no means out of shape.
1014. >Extra fur clung to his chin, making a goatee of sorts.
1015. >The hair on his head was slicked back.
1016. >"You must be Anon." He said, extending a hand. "Linda has told me all about you."
  1017. >Lin's name is Linda?
1018. >You shake that off and take his hand, shaking it firmly.
1019. >"Mr. Brownor, I came to discuss something with you.
1020. >"You wish to marry my daughter." He says.
  1021. >You're caught off guard.
  1022. >"Well…"
1023. >"You should know that Kobolds have a very sensitive nose, Anon." Elijah says. "Didn't matter how much soap she used, I could still smell that something was…off. When you walked on to my property I picked up your scent and I put two and two together."
1024. >Elijah sits down and crosses his legs. "So. Lets talk. What makes you better than the other suitors?"
1025. >"Apart from me already being in a relationship with your daughter?" You ask.
1026. >Elijah raised a brow and shrugged. "Well, you raise a valid point…"
1027. >Elijah leans forward. "Then tell me. What can you provide for her?"
  1028. >"I don't know." you admit honestly.
1029. >"Can you guarantee her a comfortable lifestyle?"
  1030. >"I don't know."
1031. >"And if I were to cut her off." Elijah offered a situation. "What if I cut off all kinds of funding or supplies I can offer her?"
1032. >"Then I'll find a way to keep her safe." You admitted. "Even if it hurts me in the process."
1033. >Elijah rubbed the fuzz on his chin and leaned back in his seat. "I don't like Chobrak." He tells you flat out.
1034. >"I don't like his face, I don't like how he talks, I don't like the constant threats he throws at my staff. I don't like him. But his family is very wealthy and very powerful. If I were to just kick him to the curb, you understand what kind of ripples that would make."
  1035. >"I do."
1036. >"You're honestly the best choice for Linda." he admits. "All the other…"Suitors"… are smarmy little twats. You're nowhere near the richest, but boys who rely on their parents money are…Of little character… But Chobrak won't go down without a fight."
1037. >"I intend to knock him on his ass during the event." You tell him. "neuter him in front of a live audience."
1038. Elijah sits quietly for a moment before nodding. "I wish you luck in your endeavors…"
  1039.
  1040. >The lights are bright.
  1041. >The crowed is loud.
1042. >You can't say you've ever seen this many monsters in one place.
1043. >Humans are peppered in between, but they're few and far.
1044. >Never have this many people shown up in one place for a fight of yours.
1045. >You're sitting in the blue corner, with both Lin and Alphonse in your corners.
1046. >"Alright, Anon!" Lin pumped up. "This guy is big! But you should be able to take him!'
1047. >"Don't monsters know what a weight class is?" You ask. "How big is this guy?"
1048. >"We didn't get that far into the rules." Alphonse brushes you off.
  1049. >"I don't think that's an excuse."
1050. >The announcer calls to you both.
  1051. >Oiko, an orc.
1052. >He's taller than you, and looks like he weighs as much as two of you.
1053. >You can see him blow steam from his nose from here.
  1054. >He's grinning at you.
  1055. >Lot of nerve for a pig.
1056. >The bell rings and you come out of your corners.
1057. >Your bring up your gloves and close the distance with the pig man.
  1058. >!!!
1059. >That glove graze your left cheek.
1060. >The impact of the fist alone left your ear ringing.
1061. >You took in a deep breath and retook your stance.
1062. >Oiko goes for another jab.
1063. >You swerve to the right.
1064. >One of these hits will probably put you off your feet.
  1065. >Oiko Goes for a left jab.
  1066. >Then a right!
  1067. >Then a left again…
  1068. >Then another right…
  1069. >…
1070. >Oiko doesn't know how to box, does he?
1071. >He's been jabbing all round.
1072. >You dash in during another one of his jabs.
1073. >You crouch into his guard with your fist aimed up.
1074. >With one crushing blow, your fist crashes into Oiko's chin.
1075. >His head darts upwards and his mouth guard flies from his mouth.
  1076. >Stumble…Stumble stumble…
1077. >Oiko whines in his long, high pitch voice before toppling over.
1078. >"TKO!" The ref yells, ending the match.
1079. >"Hm…" You hum to yourself when you return to your corner.
  1080. >You're almost disappointed…
  1081.
1082. >You're elected the winner and you're allowed to leave.
1083. >"That was amazing!" Lin tells you as you walk backstage. "Have you been practicing?"
1084. >"Not much changed." You admit. "I just followed your training regiment is all."
1085. >"No way. You had to have done something else."
1086. >You can hear the announcer call out the next match behind you. But over all the people cheering in the stands you can't hear the names.
1087. >As you walk down the back halls, you walk by another boxer. A kobold, roughly your height.
1088. >You go to wish him a good match but you stop yourself.
1089. >He glares into your eyes, a cold, dark glare that you can feel deep within your soul.
1090. >"Jeez." you whisper, walking past him. "Who was that guy?"
1091. >"That…" Lin was looking at the ground, you noticed that she didn't look at the passing boxer while you walked by him. "Was Chobrak."
1092. >"THAT was Chobrak?" You asked. "You'd think he'd stop to say hi to you…"
  1093. >"I'm glad he didn't…"
1094. >While you changed in your room, you watched the little tube tv in the corner of the room.
1095. >It almost felt like you were in some third world country or back in the 90's.
1096. >You watched the match about to take place.
1097. >Chobrak was fighting what you guessed was some sort of merman? His skin was a strange blue and he had gills so you figured, though he had legs, so maybe a variant?
1098. >The fight started and you paid close attention to Chobrak's technique.
1099. >You flinched at the first blow. A vicious strike to the temple.
1100. >He always charged into the enemies defense or attempt at an attack, going for vital blows that would put anyone out of commission for days, if not weeks.
1101. >Liver, kidney, ribs, jaw, temple, solar plexus, didn't matter to him.
1102. >But what bothered you was his movements.
1103. >He was fast, very fast.
1104. >And he wasn't relying on that either, there was power behind his punches.
1105. >The merman didn't see the second round, you're not even sure if he had any teeth left.
1106. >Chobrak stood there, looking down at the mangled mess he had left with his fists.
  1107. >"Oh man…" You say to yourself…
1108. >The way home left you in contemplation.
1109. >Lin was talking to you, but your mind was in the clouds.
  1110. >"Anon!" She finally shouts.
  1111. >"Hm, huh!?"
1112. >"jeez…" She pouts, balling her hands into fists and pressing them against her hips. "It's been six months, I thought you'd be more willing to listen to me."
1113. >"Oh…Sorry, it's just the whole event and all that…"
1114. >"Is it Chobrak?" She asks.
1115. >"Kind of." You admit. "Gonna admit, the guy has some skill."
1116. >"Hm." Lin grabs on to your arm. "Would a shower help clear your thoughts?"
1117. >"I gues-" You stop and look at the sly grin she has on her face. "Oh, right!"
1118. >"Come on!" She beckons, pulling you like a rag doll back to the villa.
  1119.
1120. >You sat in your villa room.
1121. >Even if they weren't fully modernized, there was still something to do.
1122. >Books written by famous monster writers, though many of them were in a language you didn't recognize.
1123. >"Hey!" Lin popped her head out of the bathroom. "I prepared a bath for you!"
1124. >"I was just going to have a shower." You admitted.
1125. >"Aw come on." She pouted. "I put some of my herbal stuff in there, it's good for the muscles."
1126. >"You know, that does sound good." You agree. "Alright."
1127. >Lin was right, this stuff does wonders on the muscles.
1128. >The heat with the remedy makes your body feel like it's puddy.
1129. >"How you doing in there?" Lin asks.
  1130. >"I'm fine—"
1131. >You look at the door to find Lin standing in front of you in a bathrobe.
1132. >She gives you a sultry smile and pulls the bathrobes rope loose, dropping it on the ground and peeling the the robe from her shoulders.
1133. >She lets it drop to her legs to reveal her naked form to you.
  1134. >The water's temperature suddenly spikes.
1135. >"Out of all the time I was away." Lin says to you, approaching the bathtub. "I think I missed this the most."
1136. >She lifted her leg and stretched it over you, giving a good view.
1137. >She sits down in between your legs and presses her back against your chest.
1138. >Then takes your wrists in her hands and wraps your arms around her. She looks up at you and giggles. "Feels like you've gotten quite a bit bulkier."
1139. >"Y-yeah." You stutter. "Following your work out routine is all…"
1140. >Lin jumps a little in your embrace, her ears perking up. "Oh!"
1141. >She looks back at you again while her hands go under the water. You tense up as you feel the pads on her fingers press against the gland of your member.
1142. >"Looks like this little trooper isn't relaxed one bit." She teases.
1143. >"Hey!" You counter, cupping her breasts in your hands. "You're a lot more sensitive than I am."
1144. >Lin yelps but recollects herself. "Maybe I like being sensitive. Makes it more of a challenge."
1145. >She pulls your hands away and turns around until she can sit back down on your legs and push her breasts against your chest.
1146. >"What are you doing?" You ask, putting your hands on her waist.
1147. >"Just giving you incentive to win." She tells you, kissing you deeply.
1148. >It's just the kind of morale boost you need for the next few days.
  1149.
1150. >The event is going very well for humans.
1151. >Although the human soccer team was knocked out in the second round against a team of rather energetic mice girls, the Rugby team knocked out the Minotaurs in the semi finals and is going up against the ogre team.
1152. >Hockey Team was knocked out the 3rd round by a mixed team of Yukki-onna and Harpies.
1153. >Then there's you in the boxing competition.
1154. >Oiko, first round knock out.
1155. >Sentro, a lizard girl, third round knock out.
1156. >Zembero, Zombie, forfeit due to loose stitching in head and chest area.
1157. >Mono, disqualified for throwing a punch and falling out of the ring twice.
1158. >Not much for competition, though you're glad an Ogre didn't join this years event.
1159. >But Chobrak himself wasn't doing so bad either.
1160. >Tied with you for wins, mostly knock outs, Chobrak is destined to face you in the final round.
1161. >The two of you were invited before the main event, to speak to the audience and those at home around the world.
1162. >Chobrak was always quiet, you felt an uneasy tension of him being at the same table with you.
1163. >"No." He answered plainly to a question.
  1164. >"Yes."
  1165. >"No."
  1166. >"Yes."
1167. >This guy creeped you out.
1168. >He never got into detail and he never said more than a word at a time.
1169. >When the event finally ended, you and Lin were making your way back to the villa.
1170. >"You." You heard from behind you.
1171. >"Hm?" You turned around, Chobrak was standing there.
1172. >Lin's grip on your arm tightened.
1173. "Who do you think you are…?" He asked, the venom clear in his voice.
  1174. >"What do you mean."
1175. >"She's mine." Chobrak stated, pointing at Lin.
1176. >"She's not anyones." You tell him.
1177. >"No." He denies. "I was promised her. Even when I was a child she was supposed to be mine… Who do you think you are?"
  1178. >"Look. Buddy."
1179. >"You humans are all the same. You think you can just walk into other's peoples lives and do what you want. She's mine. Mine alone."
1180. >"You…" You grumble, balling your hand into a fist. Lin stopped you, shaking her head as you look at her.
1181. >"If you want to live." He states. "Stay out of the ring tomorrow. Or else I'll kill you…"
1182. >Chobrak turns around and walks away. Leaving you and Lin in the street.
1183. >"Chobrak…" You say to yourself. "I'll end this tomorrow…"
  1184.
  1185. >The lights were blinding.
  1186. >The crowed was deafening.
  1187. >The tension was thick.
  1188. >None of that matter.
1189. >Your glare never left Chobrak.
1190. >He sat in the blue corner, his fists dangling and his wrists resting on his legs.
1191. >He returned your piercing glare while the announcer made the call.
1192. >You had Lin and Alphonse your corner again.
  1193. >Your taste was bitter.
  1194. >Your breath was heavy.
1195. >Finally, the two of you were called upon.
  1196. >"Anon!" Alphonse spoke up.
1197. >You looked down as the tiny centaur fixed his glasses.
1198. >"Beat him within an inch of his life!" He demanded.
1199. >You smiled and nodded, approaching the center of the ring.
1200. >"Alright, I want a good, clean fight." The bald human ref demanded. "Fists only, nothing below the belt, you got me?"
1201. >The two of you nod and return to your corners.
  1202. >The bell rung.
  1203. >Time stopped.
1204. >You brought your gloves up.
  1205. >Each step felt like a year.
1206. >You could hear nothing but your own breathing and the echoes of both your feet against the mat.
  1207. >The distance was closed.
1208. >You could see every detail of Chobrak's cold stare.
  1209. >And then.
  1210. >Time started again.
1211. >Your eyes widened and you lean to your right.
1212. >A fist grazed your cheek. It sounded like a sonic boom just went off beside your head.
1213. >You step back, but Chobrak pursues. With no other choice, you bring up your arms.
1214. >Each blocked strike sends a rattle down your bones. You know you can't stay on the defensive for long.
1215. >You see and opening and swerve to the right, under his jab.
1216. >You twist your body into it and hook towards the jaw.
1217. >Chobrak flinches and leans back, your glove scraping his chin.
1218. >He fumbles backwards and takes a step back. His eyes narrow.
1219. >He was expecting an actual fight.
  1220.
  1221. >Round 2.
1222. >You've kept even footing with Chobrak now.
1223. >You can't let him get on the attack, as soon as you lose footing he takes the advantage.
1224. >You can see him clench down on his mouth guard from here.
1225. >As long as you keep him on even ground, most of his advantage is gone.
1226. >You managed to land a blow against his gloves and stop him from moving.
1227. >With the momentary stun, you took the advantage.
  1228. >A foot forward.
  1229. >A step.
  1230. >Your body into it.
1231. >And a right hook towards his face.
  1232. >!!!
  1233. >He ducked under it!?
1234. >Last second, your glove barely touched his hair.
1235. >You bit down on your mouth guard and tried to gain distance.
  1236. >It was too late.
1237. >Chobrak's glove crashed into your jaw.
  1238. >Your vision blurred.
  1239. >Your step staggered.
1240. >Next thing you knew you were on your ass, looking up.
1241. >The ref began his count.
1242. >You looked to Lin, she was covering her mouth.
1243. >That was like a cement truck driving into your face.
1244. >You shake out the fuzz and stay sitting until the eight count.
1245. >And then stand up before he yelled nine.
  1246. >Chobrak is breathing deeply.
1247. >With all that skill behind his fists, he must not have ever had to exert himself this much before.
1248. >The ref gives the go ahead and the fight is back on.
  1249.
  1250. >Round after round.
1251. >Knock down after knock down.
1252. >Your left eye is swollen shut.
1253. >Chobrak's nose seems to be crooked and his lips are puffy.
  1254. >Round 9.
  1255. >You take a deep, raspy breath.
  1256. >And charge.
1257. >You won't make it to the last round.
  1258. >Everything hurts.
  1259. >1 minute left.
  1260. >Chobrak meets your charge.
1261. >His ears are low and crooked, like they're struggling to stay up.
1262. >His tail is flat and dangled in the air.
1263. >He steps in and twists into a crushing right hook.
1264. >You see it, but fail to react on time.
1265. >It crashes into your cheek. Your legs wobble, but you persist.
1266. >You clench your teeth, and duck into a body blow.
1267. >The pain in your left hand is excruciating. But you feel something in Chobrak's body give way.
1268. >He gags and coughs, his guard flying from his mouth.
1269. >Left hand is dead. Still got a right.
  1270. >This is it.
1271. >If this fails then it's all over for you.
1272. >You pursue when he steps back.
1273. >His back bounces from the ropes.
  1274. >Nowhere left to go.
1275. >You growl loudly and step into one more catastrophic hook.
1276. >Your feeling in your right hand is gone, but the blow connects.
1277. >Chobrak's head darts to his right. His neck twisting unnaturally.
1278. >With one final wheeze, he's launched from his feet, spinning through the air before crashing into the mat. His body is motionless.
1279. >You can hear a bell ring, someone is cheering. Out of it all you hear a beautiful familiar voice.
  1280. >Doesn't matter. All goes black…
  1281.
1282. >Your eyes open to the sound of humming.
1283. >You're sitting in a hospital room, a soft breeze flowing in from the window.
1284. >You look around and see Lin, decorating your hospital room.
  1285. >"Lin?"
1286. >Her ears perk up and she turns around, a smile brightening her face.
1287. >"You're awake!" She says, going to jump on you but then remembering that you just took a 9 round beating.
1288. >"You should have stayed out longer." Lin pouted. "I was gonna surprise you…"
1289. >"You're mad because I wasn't unconscious long enough for you?" You ask with a smirk.
1290. >Lin looked away and crossed her arms, her tail wagging back and forth. "Well if you put that way, I sound like the bad guy…"
  1291. >"Linda…"
1292. >Lin cringed at the sound of her full name. "Don't do that!"
  1293. >"Do what?"
1294. >"Say my full name… It makes me sound way too girly."
  1295. >"Linda." You say again.
  1296. >"Sssstop!"
  1297. >"lllllllinda."
1298. >"What do I have to do to get you to stop that?"
1299. >"You can shut me up with kisses." You suggest.
1300. >Lin grins and presses her lips against yours.
1301. >"What now?" She asks, pulling away from the kiss.
  1302. >"I won, right?"
1303. >"Yeah, you won. Last I heard, Chobrak is in worse condition than you are."
  1304. >"Well, that means I get dibs."
1305. >"You're calling it dibs?" Lin asks. "That's a little disrespectful, don't you think?"
1306. >You struggle and sit up in your bed.
1307. >When you finally do, you take Lin's hand in yours.
1308. >"Lin…" You start. "I don't really have a ring anything yet, but I didn't want to wait too long and I had to beat up another mook."
1309. >You take her hand in both of yours and look her in the eyes. "Will you marry me?"
1310. >Lin's ears perk up, her eyes begin to well with tears. "You already know my answer."
1311. >The two of you share another kiss.
1312. >When you're finally done being lovey dovey, she asks.
1313. >"How are we gonna tell my father?"
1314. >"I may as well call him." You say. "Do you think he'll cry at the wedding?"
1315. >"Probably." She giggles. "He's a big softy under all that gruff."
1316. >"Hm." You stop. "I should probably tell Riff that it's a go as well."
1317. >"Stop talking so much." Lin ordered, nuzzling you gently. "Let's just enjoy the quiet for a bit…"
  1318.
1319. >Chobrak sat in his bed, staring out the window.
1320. >He's never had a headache this bad in his entire life.
1321. >He had woken up the night before and hasn't slept since.
1322. >Four of his ribs were broken and he has a fractured cheek bone.
1323. >A dark, pitiful sickness lied in his chest.
1324. >Why did he want to marry Linda again?
1325. >He barely ever spoken to her. Was it because he loved her? Or was it his own self righteous arrogance getting the better of him?
1326. >He lied back against his pillow. Everything he did and said, all those people he hurt. What was it he was feeling?
  1327. >Oh, right. Regret… That's what it was called…
1328. >His ears perked up when the door opened.
1329. >He was so lost in his own thoughts and self pity that he didn't even hear the nurse approaching his door.
  1330. >"Hi there!"
1331. >His eyes widened as his nurse stepped into his room.
1332. >She came up to his chest at best.
1333. >A little harpy with brown hair practically skipped to his side, her talons clicking against the floor.
1334. >"Hello…" Chobrak managed to utter.
1335. >"Look who's finally speaking!" The nurse giggled. "Doctor said that you were giving everyone the silent treatment."
1336. >Chobrak winced and then looked away.
1337. >"Are you blushing?" She asks.
  1338. >"N…No." He answered.
1339. >"Hee hee. Well, I'm here to make sure you aren't going to slip away on us! Just kidding! It's not that bad."
1340. >The nurse reached down and pushed a wing under Chobrak's forearm and lifted it.
1341. >"Jeez, your hands are still really bad…can you close them for me?"
1342. >Chrobrak struggled, but try as he might, he couldn't make a fist.
1343. >"Oh dear." The nurse sighed. "Oh well. Just means you have to put up with me longer than you'd like!"
1344. >The nurse giggles at her own joke.
1345. >"What's your name?" Chobrak finally asks.
1346. >"Hm? Oh. I'm Nurse Hannah." The Harpy introduces herself.
  1347. >"Hannah…" Chobrak repeats.
1348. >"Is something the matter?" She asks.
  1349. >"No nothing… " Chobrak dismissed.
1350. >"I'll be back in a bit, okay?" Hannah asks. "I just have to get some things sorted out."
1351. >Chobrak watches her leave the room before sitting back into his bed.
  1352. >Looks like it's time to move on…
  1353.
1354. >Riff sat on a bench, just outside of the event stadium.
1355. >Both the Rugby team and humanities representative boxer won in the end, but not without struggle.
1356. >Two our of five aint bad.
1357. >A Kobold in a business suit sat down beside him, reaching into his suit pocket and drawing a cigar.
1358. >"So." The Kobold sniffed. "You're the man I should be talking to."
  1359. >"That's me." Riff confirmed.
  1360. >"My daughter is getting married…"
  1361. >"Congratulations."
1362. >Elijah blew smoke from his mouth and chuckled. "Never in a million years did I see a human marrying my daughter."
1363. >"To be fair." Riff shrugged. "The competition was less than stellar."
1364. >"I'll say." Elijah sighed. "So. Why?"
  1365. >"Why what?"
1366. >"What was your stake in this? Boss breathing down your neck? Some sort of funding thing?"
1367. >"Nope." Riff sighed. "I just didn't think it was fair is all."
1368. >"Their relationship originally broke human laws, didn't it?"
  1369. >"It did. but I'm a bureaucrat, not a cop."
  1370. >"Fair enough."
1371. >Riff checks his phone and then stands up. "Back to work, I guess."
1372. >"Agent Riff, was it?" Elijah asked.
  1373. >"That's right."
1374. >"I'd like to thank you."
1375. >Riff raised a brow from behind his sunglasses. "And why's that?"
1376. >"I want my daughter to be happy." Elijah admitted. "And honestly. She wasn't. Hell, if I knew the US government wouldn't come crashing down and the locals wouldn't go crazy, then I'd have been happy to meet the boy and see if he was good for Linda."
  1377. >"And is he?"
1378. >"He is. Better than any punk that grew up around these parts… I think they'll work. I don't know what they're going to do with their lives, but I know they'll find a way."
1379. >"Well, Mr. Brownor. If this all gets to be too much for you." Riff offers. "The good Ol' US of A has a good number of secluded pieces of farmland you could always hermit away in."
1380. >Elijah laughs. "I'll give it some thought."
  1381. >"Goodbye, Mr. Brownor."
  1382. >"So long, Agent Riff."
  1383.
1384. >You stand outside of your truck, leaning against it with your arms crossed.
  1385. >Guess they're running late.
1386. >Finally, you see it over the hill, the yellow school bus.
1387. >You pray that they behaved today.
  1388. >The bus stops.
  1389. >You wait.
  1390. >Wait.
1391. >The Bus driver shrugs at you.
  1392. >"Girls." You finally order.
1393. >A moment later, three little kobold girls step off the bus, their heads towards the ground.
  1394. >"What did you do."
1395. >"It wasn't our fault." Lili complains, her ears low.
1396. >"Yeah!" Donny huffs. "They had it coming."
1397. >"Donna…" You say her name and she suddenly jumps. "The note."
1398. >They all stand quietly until Katie, the third and youngest, gingerly approaches you.
1399. >A moment later, she hands you a note, then runs to hid behind her sisters.
1400. >You give them the evil eye and then look over the note.
  1401. >"Fighting? Again?"
  1402. >They stand quietly.
1403. >"… You headbutted one of the boys right in the nuts?"
  1404. >Donny nods her head.
  1405. >"Shit, that's one way to settle a fight."
  1406. >"They called Katie a mutt!" Donny protested. "She's not a dog, she's a Kobold!"
1407. >"Alright alright." You sigh. "Lets go home and talk to your mom about it."
1408. >All three of the girls' lower their ears and their tails sink.
1409. >"Mom's gonna be super pissed…" Lili whispered.
1410. >"Don't use the P word!" Katie hushes her.
1411. >The drive back to the house is deathly silent, you almost want to cough awkwardly to break the silence.
1412. >Once you arrive, all three look at the house like a death sentence, but still you manage to get them to march forward.
1413. >"Honey, We're home!" You call out, entering the house.
  1414. >"I'll be right there!"
1415. >All three of them try to hurry up stairs to their room, but you manage to catch them by the collar, getting a few surprised squeaks in the process.
1416. >"Good to see you're ba-" Lin stops, narrowing her eyes at the three. "What did they do?"
  1417. >"They kicked some ass."
1418. >"Daddy! No cussing!" Katie scolds you.
  1419. >"Let me see."
1420. >You hand Lin the note.
1421. >"…In the nards?" Lin asks.
  1422. >"Yep." You confirm.
1423. >"Dang, Donny. way to go for the kill."
  1424. >"Linda." You scold her.
1425. >She sighs and hands you the note. "Fine. Girls, go to your room. We'll figure out a proper punishment in a bit."
  1426.
1427. >The three mutter something to themselves and then trudge up stairs.
1428. >You can't help but smile, walking into the kitchen to wash your hands before Lin wraps her arms around you from behind.
1429. >"How was work?" She asks.
1430. >"Alright, I guess." You sigh. "The new cyclops guy won't stop running into things."
  1431. >"Really?"
  1432. >"Yeah, It's kind of funny."
1433. >Lin laughs and slaps you on the back. "C'mon, don't be mean."
1434. >Lin opens the fridge and pulls out a beer for both you and her. "The girls asked me how we got together the other day."
1435. >"Oh god, you didn't tell them the truth, did you?" You cringe.
1436. >"Ew, no! Of course not!"
1437. >"Well mind telling me the new truth before I scar them for life?"
1438. >"Well." She smiles. "I told them that I was out for a walk, and I found you practicing your boxing, and I offered to help you get into the league. And then when I was forced to go home, you came looking for me during the big international sports competition, and swept me off my feet."
1439. >"I like it." you say. "Makes me look like a hero, and it doesn't destroy my little girls' psyche."
1440. >Lin giggles and wraps her arms around you again, kissing you on the lips. "Welcome home, Anon."
1441. >You return her embrace and hold her close. "Thank you…"
1442. >Nine years ago, you fought a Kobold named Chobrak in one of the biggest matches in boxing history.
1443. >You won in the end, but you left the fight with several severe fractures in both your fists.
1444. >You would never fight in the ring again…
1445. >But in return, you took the hand of the woman you loved in marriage, started a family, and moved out to a quiet little corner in the American country side.
1446. >In the end, you feel like it was a good trade…
1447. >After the match, Chobrak retired from boxing and settled down as a mechanic in Europe. He is now married to a Harpy named Hannah who he met during his stay in the hospital.
1448. >Agent Riff continued working for the US government for several more years before following his dream as a family restaurant owner. He is now known throughout America for his amazing deserts and excellent meals.
1449. >Elijah visits the family often, bringing many gifts for his three grand daughters. He did cry at the wedding.
1450. >Your father became good friends with Elijah after they met at the wedding. They go bowling whenever he's in town.
1451. >Your mother was hesitant to the marriage at first, but soon Linda grew on her, as well as her three grand daughters.
1452. >The first human-Monster Rugby league was established shortly after the big event. The human team remains undefeated to this day.
1453. >With so much spare time on his hands now. Alphonse sat down and wrote a fantasy series about a centaur lost in a human world. The book was a success, making Alphonse the first successful, and shortest, Centaur to ever publish a book.
