  1. Intro
  2.
  3. Few knew of the cold wilds in Nunkgeria, the harsh frozen tundra, a deserted wasteland where nothing grows, and life is rarely seen. The frozen fjords stretched far and wide along the icy shores, only one town erected within such horrid conditions. It was a humble place, it's people kind, and good. Hard working souls who fought for their keep, no one lazed about in such a place. It's name, Snow Haven was rarely heard from across the seas. It spawn a short ways around the frozen tundra, very few living within it's cold world.
  4.
  5. The town, shadowed by the mountain. A chilled hateful gale constantly streaming from the hollowed cliffs, it's icy hands, grasped towards the chilled earth, a ever lasting curse, deep within the mountain's foreboding depths, yet the village beneath it seemed to prosper, the mountain's touch far away from the happy folk, leaving them to gaze cautiously at it's slopes, never to feel it's painful spite.
  6.
  7. A young life, struggling for it's keep lives with his only kin. The boy was known as Noric, a troublesome lad, often picking the nets of fishermen, only to watch their catch swim away. Most labeled him a demon of the mountain, saying the long aged curse had won over his seemingly innocent mind. Yet the kindness within his heart burned brighter than any of his hardened neighbors, he had little. And that's what made him strong... Left with a small hut, and a kind voice to return too.

  9. Rising action draft
  10.
  11. Noric, was walking home, from a ill fated fishing trip. "Nothin' nothin' Always wit' the nothin'... I'm tryin'! I really am tryin'! Wot... wot is causing this I 'spose... " He spoke, quietly to himself, as he brought back, an empty net. "Looks like we gotta eat the stale bread... not lookin' like I got more to be brigin' " Sighing loudly, continuing on his trek, back home, heavy foot falls, crunching down on the harsh icy snow.
  12.
  13. "Ah'm bet that mum... don't want this stale bread.. Grah! Wot am I doing wrong!?" He growled, grumbling to himself, as he finished his long travel, back to the cold hut they called home. "Mum! Ah'm home!" He said, chiming happily as he walked through the seal skin covering, into the small hut. "Ah'm sorry mum... I ain't got nothin' to show for..." His mother smiled warmly toward him, letting out a small laugh. "Listen me boy... Your mum, is gonna be fine, we got bread! Even if it be stale... I 'spose it's still good ya'? We got each other, and that's wot we gotta think 'bout."
  14.
  15. Noric bathed in the warm kindness his mother seemed to radiate, a gentle smile peeling across his paled visage."Mum... why don't Pa never come back? if he still alive... why'd he leave you 'spose it's me? I didn't do nothin' to make him all hate like.." A gentle touch gifted to the child, slowly rubbing along his shoulder, quickly followed by a small squeeze, the woman herself beaming down at him, her joyful air melding with his own."Your Pa, left a long time ago. I 'spose he's got nothin' against you, me boy... Don't be worryin' bout that no more 'kay?"
  16.
  17. Smiling, he looks up at the woman, her icy blue hues sparkling with kindness and joy. "Aye, I will mum...."

  20. Climax
  21.
  22. Noric's eyes screamed with pain, the mournful tears trickling down his reddened cheeks, his father stood before him, chuckling, laughing in glee as he looked towards his handy work. Lives, broken, shattered by his own hands, the mountain's will, begging him to continue his blood shed."Can't ya' see the beauty...? Can't ya' see what ya've done wrong!? Look around me boy! This... this is true art! They didn't need to live anyway..." His broken cackle spilled from chapped lips, hands stained with innocent life, so much hate dripping from one man... his son, tugged by the mountain's pain, pulled towards his father's darkened will. "It was you! YOU FATHER!" He yelled, growling deeply, grinding his teeth, hard enough for them to chip. "You... you killed her... Don't you lie to me! Nothin' you say gonna change the fact! You killed Mum!" He dashed forwards, slamming his form into the being before him, holding his smaller frame under his trembling grasp.
  23.
  24. His father only grinned, a broken chilling sneer peeled across his paled visage. The woman's body, left for the child to find, her head, leaking it's precious fluids to the cold floor below."YOU RUINED EVERYTHIN' EVERYTHIN'!" Noric couldn't stop, a chilling grasp of hate rushing into his form, keeping him in his assault, as the child slammed his father's head into the ice, again, and again, the dark winds begging him to continue his hateful execution. Soon, he trembled, having taken away his father's light, the man's form, limp before him."You.... you did this.. ruined... everythin'... You made them thinkin' I was the one that been killin'... why...? Why...? Why!? WHY!?" Noric could hold it no longer, tears flooding from his eyes, as he placed his head within his bloodied hands. "Why you do this to me...? To mum... to the village... all of it... was your... fault...."
  25.
  26. Falling action
  27.
  28. Noric wandered aimlessly, the village, nothing but abandoned buildings, the sound of laughter, no longer ringing in the dead cold streets, as the hollow mountain, howls in victory. "What.. 'ave I done...? What... 'ave we all done...? Nothin' left... nothin' to show for 'em... We're all gone... Leavin'.... just me... I... I... I don't got no more reasonin'... to hold on... Mum is gone... all of 'em are gone..." He said, slowly walking closer, and closer to the cold water, of the icy fjords.
  29.
  30. "I... ain't got nothin' to show for mum.... I 'spose... I got nothin' to live for no more..."
  31.
  32. Ending
  33.
  34. Noric, continues to walk, each foot fall, grinding against the cold, harsh ice, he was soon, at the water's edge, with nothing to hold him back, he takes the last step, plunging into the cold, black abyss, and slowly, letting himself sink in the dark water. 'I'm... commin' mum... Ah'm gonna see you soon...' He thought, as the cold, burned against him, and his mind, gently fell to sorrow, to darkness. to nothing.
  35.
  36. A small voice ran through his mind, the chilling depths clinging to his freezing form something deep within his consciousness tugged on him, begged for his small light to glow brighter. The child didn't know it yet... But traders had come to the tainted waters, his body hoisted far from the icy depths. The kind hearted souls saw the destroyed village, the happy town they had heard so little of, brought within the shadow of the mountain. Nothing was left, except for this child, and his dreams.
  37.
  38. Noric's mind throbbed, small trashes, and squirms sending him from the nightmare, his horrified voice sounding within the small vessel, quickly one of the hardened men ran to greet him, only to see the pitiful sight with his own eyes. The child wept, holding onto his head, bitter tears streaming down his reddened cheeks. "I couldn't.... I failed... all of 'em... everyone they're gone... And I don't got nothin' to show for it.... Nothin'..."
  39.
  40. His gaze slowly slid from the blankets, towards the watching eyes. The tears, ever dripping, falling to the oaken floor. "Please... please let me go back... I don't wana leave 'er... I can't... I can't leave me mum..." With a small sigh, the large man would leave, a quiet mumble sent to the other crew men, as they responded in similar means.
  41.
  42. Without disturbing the child, they returned to the ruined town, forced to gaze at the broken lives of so many helpless people, the winds howled, screeching their mourn into the broken ruins. Noric, could not stand it he'd have to find her body, rushing from the dock he ran as best his weakened legs would carry him, sliding, falling in the harsh ice, beating his already tired form. The old seal skin hut within view. Bolting towards the entrance, he darted inside, only to find the woman having struggled from the floor.
  43.
  44. "Mum!? Ya' alive!?" Rushing towards the woman, his tight embrace ran through her. Giving her quite the start, only to share in such a affectionate hug "I-I thought... ya' was dead... I even saw ya' all cold and stiff..." She gave a small hum back to her child, having already doctered her wound. " 'Ush me boy... Don't got nothin' to worry 'bout no more... Heh, ah'm alright... and I got ya' in me arms..."
  45.
  46. Even as the mountain screamed it's defeat, the loud gale rippling through it's hollow cliffs, the curse was gone... And two, stood from it's wake, two lives changed by the icy fjords. Two lives, brought together again The fishermen led them back upon their vessel, the two, left with the horrid sight of a home, that never really wanted them... Nothing was there to hold them, nothing would draw them back within the grasp of Nunkgeria, the mountain left to weep in pain, it had lost...
