- Ancient Lore
- During the marriage of Orlanth and Ernalda, the Lannister men whooped and drank with Orlanth, making Orlanth our main deity.
- Our clan’s earliest famous event was when Roitina, lady of dance, first performed the Clan-Making Dance.
- During the Storm Age, we adopted strangers into our clan. Our worst enemies in those days were the trolls.
- We were originally a Balanced Clan.
- At the Dawn, we first awakened Orlanth, the Father.
- Our attitude toward dragons and their ilk was neutral; we did not go along with them nor actively make war on them.
- 1329
- We made the dangerous trek to Dragon Pass, and claimed more land than we needed, to grow into. We built a clan hall, some steads, and a temple to Orlanth. But when we left Heortland, we lost much of our connection with the gods.
- 1330
- The alynx spirits chased off the vermin spirits; there would be few rats this year.
- The Issaries priestess Sora Goodseller came to our clan and asked if we had any white horses to trade. We had no white horses.
- Acting as our emissary, Kulbrast asked the Gorinds to make good on the obligation they owed us, and provide us with cattle. Kulbrast asked for no more and no less than the usual amount. The Gorinds gave us the cattle without complaint.
- Eonislara, betrothed to Jorator of the Hiord clan, was seduced by Korol, the notorious troublemaking poet of the Heran clan. We went to the Herani and said that we expected Korol to marry her. “You mistake my intentions,” Korol said. “I meant not to eat the whole cake, but merely to sample the dough.” When our people heard this, they were outraged.
- We raided the Herani and eluded their patrols. We were driven off and had no opportunity to obtain booty. We lamented that lecherous Korol’s clan was not humbled, but were glad that at least we had not meekly swallowed the offense.
- We were raided by the Horse Nomads. Alerted by Janstan, Varsens drove off a group of Horse Nomads who were trying to circle behind us.
- Although we held the field, we weren’t able to take any captives.
- Eonislara turned out to be pregnant. Her kinfolk were embarrassed. We left the matter to her kinfolk. People were happy that the ring did not interfere.
- Explorers found the warrior Alarandra, who fled from the injustice of the Pharaoh, and said we should give her asylum. We adopted her as a weaponthane. She took her place in the chief’s household. The people were proud to see a foe of the Pharaoh honored in such a fashion.
- The harvest was plentiful.
- Leikan began the Storm Tribe heroquest. Leikan was told by Ernalda to make a tribe, so that he could challenge the Emperor. But the Doubting Wheel rolled up and told Leikan not to make a tribe. Leikan sought Yinkin in the forests and thickets, but couldn’t find him. Leikan was lost in the realm of the gods. He looked for light, but found only darkness. He gasped for air, but his lungs breathed only dust. He sought warmth, but there was only cold. He sought not to escape, but to understand. Leikan wandered into the forge of Gustbran, Smith of the Gods. Leikan told Gustbran of his plight, but Gustbran said nothing. Leikan asked him to make a key. Gustbran made for Leikan the thing he requested. Leikan used the key to open a door back to the realm of mortals, where the people welcomed him. They were glad to see Leikan again, but disappointed that the quest had failed.
- Maniski, a thane of the Heran clan, complained that Bastakos insulted him, and said there would be a feud if we did not punish our trickster. We removed Bastakos from the ring. Maniski was pleased by our justice, and the people were happy that Bastakos’s insults would no longer seem to come from the entire clan.
- Korstardos complained that his wife Umathkar dishonored him by interrupting a duel with Arnbord of the Herani. The clan ring said that Umathkar had Korstardos’s best interests at heart. “Tell that to the goose-egg on my head!” Korstardos protested. We scolded him. He apologized for wasting the ring’s time with a matter he and his wife should resolve on their own. As for Korstardos and Arnbord, they met again, and took to sipping ale together, lamenting the meddling ways of wives.
- 1331

- We learned that the Herani had started a feud with us.

- Our explorers discovered rocks that shine in the dark, which could be used to make valuable amulets.
Leikan leapt into Gustbran’s fire. The fire would burn only those things which were of the gods. Because Leikan was a mortal, he was not burned in this flame, but reappeared in the midst of a temple fire on our tula. That flame burned, but we pulled Leikan from it, and he was not consumed, but merely wounded.
- Inganna attempted the heroquest of Orlanth and Aroka. She was unable to enter the place of the gods.

They awakened the spirits, but then realized that they meant us no good. They predicted ill fortune for many seasons to come.
- We found a cave full of dangerous, armored rodents on our tula. We decided to seek outsiders to exterminate the creatures. We found weaponthanes of the Eagle clan willing to do it, for half a cow worth of silver each. Many of them were wounded, and they blamed us for not warning them how dangerous these rodents were. They said that all of the creatures were dead.
- Fistivos, a thane of the Greenwing clan, asked us for the details of the “The Sword Story” story. We told him what he wanted to know. He thanked us and departed.
- A trickster came to laugh at us, and to offer us a blessing that would help us on our next heroquest. We dickered with him over the price. He offered us a better price, and we took it.
- 1332
- The god-talkers forecast a mild Dark season.
- Kulbrast returned from his recruiting mission with 9 new weaponthanes.
- A couple from another clan offered to sell us the Farwalk Sandals. We tried to reduce the price they were asking. We convinced them to part with it for less. We put the Farwalk Sandals in a safe place.
- We raided the Herani. Moved by the crying of Heran mothers and babies, our warriors let them keep their land. Alarandra distinguished herself in the fighting.
- Ernalda priestesses from the Brown Boar clan come to demand the return of the Farwalk Sandals. We said, “Let’s have a contest of magic, and see if the gods want you to have it.” Our priestesses dropped a seed onto dry and barren earth, and so did theirs. Their seed sprouted, and ours did not. We returned the treasure to them. They said it was obvious that Ernalda wants things to belong to their right owners, and that we should have given up the Farwalk Sandals in the first place.
- Brenna took ill, because someone had woven Chaos runes into her skirt. We tried to find out if another clan was responsible for the Chaos hex. The women all denied having made the skirt. Orlaront was not certain that they were all telling the truth.
- Many of our sheep became sick. We sent for shamans to drive away the disease spirits. Shamans came and said they would do this for the low price of 15 cows. We accepted the arrangement. They destroyed the sick sheep, saying that this was essential to driving the bad spirits away.
- After many weeks at death’s door, Brenna recovered from the illness caused by the hexed skirt.
- Many of our sheep became sick again. We sent for Nevala priestesses from other clans. They came and said they would heal the sheep if we gave them ten healthy sheep for sacrifice to their goddess. We accepted the arrangement. They performed their healing rituals, but said that the spirits of disease infesting the animals were too powerful. They said the sheep should be destroyed, lest the spirits grow even stronger. We separated the diseased sheep from the healthy ones. The sick sheep soon died.
- Acting as our emissary, Kulbrast sought an alliance with the Arnorings. Kulbrast said to them, “Together, we can overcome our foes. We will be celebrated by great poets.” Their chief, Orlkarnth, agreed that our two clans should be allies. Orlkarnth whooped feverishly, and he and his weaponthanes did the Orlanth Dance. “We shall be remembered forever!” he claimed. “Who shall we conquer first?”
- Fedarkos was bullied and insulted by a pair of Antorling weaponthanes at their clan market. The ring said that Fedarkos should forget their insults. Fedarkos agreed that his honor was too great to be tarnished by any rude Antorlings. He said the matter should rest.

We will be celebrated by great poets.” Their chief, Hofstaring, agreed that our two clans should be allies. Hofstaring whooped feverishly, and he and his weaponthanes did the Orlanth Dance. “We shall be remembered forever!” he claimed. “Who shall we conquer first?”
- Acting as our emissary, Kulbrast sought an alliance with the Boskovi. Kulbrast said to them, “Together, we can overcome our foes. We will be celebrated by great poets.” Their chief, Vordessa, declined our offer. “Your talk of overcoming foes makes us uneasy, for we believe in peace. And the maunderings of poets mean little to us,” Vordessa said. “We would never make an alliance with such a reckless clan.”
- 1333
- The outlook for trading was good.
- Frithorf, a thane of the Greenwing clan, asked us for information about Loricon, chief of the Isolting clan. He reminded us that we owed his people a favor. “If you do not stand behind your words,” said Frithorf, “They are worth little, and will not erase your obligation to us. Nonetheless, I will listen to what you have to say.” Some of the people were offended by his words to us, but we entertained his question anyway. Frithorf asked us if Loricon was honest, or full of guile. We said, “Loricon is not only honest, but has a keen nose for the dishonesty of others.” Frithorf departed, and thanked us for the information. Not long afterwards, he returned to our tula to thank us again. “Your words gave us insight into Loricon, and we used that insight to set up a favorable trade arrangement.” He gave us gifts, and the people were happy.

- Orldag led a delegation of carls to complain that we were too war-like, and that the crops were suffering as a result. We promised to reduce the number of raids.
- Spirit-talkers showed up and asked if we needed anything from them. We told them to be on their way. The older spirit-talker said, “The strangest thing you will see is in a reflecting pool.”
- 1334
- The outlook for trading was good.
- Our explorers met foreign warriors who rode on monsters shaped like horses. We sought them out, and invited them to our tula. Sir Ethilrist’s men seemed surprised and amused by our offer of hospitality, and promised to take us up on it, one day.

Orlkarth rudely refused Asborn’s challenge and cast a flaming javelin, but Asborn dodged. But we Lannisters are not weak like the Brown Boars. A flying Orlanthi was not enough to scare us, and we beat the rest of the Brown Boars, even if we could not beat their runelord.
- We took 17 captives from the Brown Boars.
- We kept the prisoners as thralls.
- Inganna began the Storm Tribe heroquest. Inganna was told by Ernalda to make a tribe, so that she could challenge the Emperor. But the Doubting Wheel rolled up and told Inganna not to make a tribe. She tried to catch the Doubting Wheel in a net. When she threw a net over it, the Doubting Wheel shrank down and became a tiny thing, small enough for Inganna to put in her purse. Inganna found Yinkin, who said he would join the tribe if Inganna could defeat the champions of the Plant Tribe. Inganna said, “My new tribe will crush you if you do not retreat, plants!” Rustling Veins shrivelled with fear, and became a pile of loose hay. Sharp Green turned orange, and his many swords fell upon the ground, where they became a carpet for squirrels. “You are a wise and fearsome ruler, Inganna!” Yinkin cheered. “I must be a part of this new tribe of yours — so long as it has a way of remembering its good laws.” Inganna found the Knowing God trapped inside a great cube. She searched for Vadrus, but became hopelessly lost. Inganna was lost in the realm of the gods. She looked for light, but found only darkness. She gasped for air, but her lungs breathed only dust. She sought warmth, but there was only cold. Inganna used her passion to escape. Inganna found herself in the halls of the dead. When she tried to leave, Ty Kora Tek barred her way. She asked Inganna to choose which of a number of tokens best represented her spirit. Inganna chose the heart. Ty Kora Tek said that Inganna had chosen incorrectly, and was doomed to wander a while longer. Inganna wandered again, as lost as before. Inganna used her passion to escape. Inganna wandered into the forge of Gustbran, Smith of the Gods. Inganna told Gustbran of her plight, but Gustbran said nothing. Inganna challenged him to an arm-wrestling contest. Gustbran’s arm was extremely strong, for he spent all of his time swinging his hammer at the weapons and armor he manufactured for the other members of Orlanth’s Storm Tribe. But Inganna was stronger that day, and won. Gustbran told her how to get out of the realm of the gods, and so she returned to us. The people were glad to see Inganna again, but disappointed that the quest had failed.
- Inganna began the Storm Tribe heroquest. Inganna was unable to enter the realm of the gods.
- The haughty horse nomads who called themselves Grazers, but we know as the Horse-Spawn, came to reclaim the refugees we had adopted. We told them we sent the thralls to another clan. They swallowed our deception. They seemed to share a joke with their horses, then rode off towards the Heran tula.

It departed without a further word.

- Broyan, thane of the Hiord clan, invited us to accompany him on a raid against the Telmori wolf-folk. We offered to make peace between the Hiordlings and Telmori. His face hardened. “Peace is for ponds and stalks of wheat. We are men, and live for war.” We accepted his invitation. He was pleased by this response, and said that his clan would not forget the aid we gave them this day. We sent Asborn to lead our war party against the Telmori. Together our clans laid waste to the Telmori encampment, slaying their warriors and driving their women and children deep into the woods.

- An exploratory mission came home early to report that one of them had been taken by Tusk Riders, and could now be presumed dead. We sent a war party to hunt for Thadart. Varsens, who led the party, searched valiantly for him, but there was no trace of Thadart to be found.

He tried to catch the Doubting Wheel in a net. When he threw a net over it, the Doubting Wheel shrank down and became a tiny thing, small enough for Leikan to put in his purse. Leikan found Yinkin, who said he would join the tribe if Leikan could defeat the champions of the Plant Tribe. Leikan fought both of them. He tore off the many feet of Rustling Veins, which gave it sustenance. He blunted the many swords of Sharp Green, which gave it power. The Plant Tribe was defeated, and Yinkin said that his Cat Clan would join the Storm Tribe, provided it finds a way to remember its good laws. Leikan found the Knowing God trapped inside a great cube. He recited a poem about square things becoming round. The poem caused the cube to crumble, and the Knowing God was freed. The Knowing God agreed to make the Marks On Bark Clan part of the Storm Tribe, so long as this new tribe had fierce warriors. Leikan found Vadrus, who had decided to fight Yinkin and his Cat Clan. He challenged Vadrus to a contest of strength. Vadrus accepted the challenge. They arm-wrestled, and Leikan won. “You have bested me, so I am obliged to do as you wish,” Vadrus said, “I will seek a foe other than Yinkin, and may even attend this confederation moot of yours — so long as that accursed cat is not among the chieftains there.” Leikan found more chieftains to bring their clans to the confederation moot, but when they got there, they fell to fighting, and blamed him for making contradictory promises. Ernalda brought him implements of tribal regalia. She brought the Chest of Torcs, with which he could gift the clan leaders. She brought the Hall of Understanding, where people would settle their differences by talking them out. She brought the Crown of Authority, which made people respect his sacral powers and pledge allegiance to him. Most of the clans agreed to make the tribe, but there were still some who were stubborn. Then warriors of the Night Tribe came and attacked the quarrelling clans. Leikan directed the others to fight the Night Tribe. Everyone banded together to fight these hungry enemies. After they defeated the night warriors, they acclaimed Leikan as their king. Leikan returned to the land of mortals, his quest successful. The god-talkers said that our next attempt to make a tribe would benefit from the favor of Orlanth.
- Leikan attempted the heroquest of Orlanth and Aroka. He was unable to enter the place of the gods.
- The harvest was plentiful.
- Vandarl, of the Heran clan, asked us to give him grain, because we owed him a favor. We were feuding with his clan, but he hinted this could begin to end the conflict. We did as he asked. Our carls were glad to see that we gave Vandarl only what custom demanded — no less, and certainly no more.
- The Brown Boars stole 21 cows.
- Argrand of the Heran clan offered us gifts. We threw a feast for thanes of Argrand’s clan. They toasted our generosity, and said they would speak of it to others. Our people made merry, and also toasted the clan ring.
- 1340
- The leaves of the oak trees fell off early, but nobody agreed what this signified.
- We were raided by the Horse Nomads. Leikan summoned torrential rains, which drenched the Horse-Spawn.
- We drove the Horse Nomads off, and their survivors left without plundering our tula.
- The outlaw women who kidnapped Swen and Rostandos came back, each with a baby she claimed belonged to one of them. We adopted the children. Then some of the women demanded that Swen and Rostandos explain themselves, and say why they should not be accused of the crime of adultery. Leikan told the women that the matter should be forgotten. They reluctantly agreed to pretend that nothing had ever happened.
- We were raided by the Herani. The Herani were content to harass us with missile fire as we withdrew.
- A group of ragged, ill-favored travelers asked for hospitality. They ate. They drank. They ate and drank some more. Their news was stale, their gossip rancid. We were happy to see them go.
- We were raided by the Horse Nomads. The Horse Nomads were content to harass us with missile fire as we withdrew.
- Drought struck our lands. The spectre of starvation hovered over us. We went with Orlanth to help him free Heler from the dragon’s maw.
- Leikan attempted the heroquest of Orlanth and Aroka. Leikan became as one with Orlanth. Ernalda told him that his nephew, Daga, was causing a drought and harming the people. Orlanth said, “I must find another way,” rather than fight his kin. Leikan fought against Daga. He never returned, and the people assumed he had been killed on his heroquest. Enemies aided Daga and Aroka, and Heler remained imprisoned. Rain did not come.
- Bandits attacked our exploration party in the northeast. Asborn blustered and shouted at the bandits, but they just laughed. Asborn tried to avoid the fight and save the group, but the bandits attacked anyway.
- Our explorers went to the Orlanthi land of Tarsh. There they met an odd fellow who called himself the Prince of Masks, and said he would visit a magical catastrophe upon any clan in Dragon Pass we chose, in exchange for a gift of silver. We bargained with him. We could not reach an acceptable price, and left Tarsh without making an arrangement with the magician.
- Our warriors were stricken by a strange palsy. We conducted a divination. The god-talkers said that the malady was caused by shamans in the employ of the Elkenvali. It could be cured by propitiating Malia. We propitiated Malia. The palsy went away. Many people were nervous that we had taken a terrible risk in sacrificing to a Chaos god.
- The weaponthanes complained that they had not raided in years.
- We raided the Blue Jays. We struck the Splinter Rock with a sword, releasing a shower of sparks and a strong wind that blew towards our foe.
- We were driven from the battlefield, unable to take any captives. The Blue Jays took 10 of our women auxiliaries captive.
- We ransomed our prisoners from the Blue Jays.
- Led by Vininna, the women of the clan reproached the ring for losing so many of their husbands and sons in battle. The ring suggested a Marriage Contest. The women said they weren’t interested in games, they wanted men. It was agreed that Kulbrast would travel to the clan’s old home and inquire whether any bachelors from our old clan wished to join us.
- We spotted a cattle raid by the Hendarti. We were driven from the battlefield and looted.
- 1341
- The god-talkers said we needed to learn one of Urox’s blessings.
- Janstan spoke for the warriors when he said that they were stretched too thin, and that more fighters were needed. We sought new warriors wherever we could find them. We even approached bandits and outlaws. Orlaront questioned them closely, and accepted the most honest of the candidates.
- Glendara, a carl of our clan, said that her prize stallion, Tempest, had been stolen by Rangarda Dark-Eyes of the Greydog clan. We launched a legal claim against Rangarda Dark-Eyes. We took our claim to her clan ring. Rangarda denied that she had anything to do with the disappearance of Glendara’s horse. Her clan leaders seemed to make an honest effort to determine the truth, but ultimately ruled that there was no evidence of wrongdoing on Rangarda’s part. Glendara was most displeased by this result.
- Kulbrast succeeded in finding former clansmen willing to join our clan, and the people were happy.
- Our explorers triumphed in the harsh plains of Prax.
- We reorganized as a Peace clan.
- The sons and daughter of Glendara recovered the stallion called Tempest, which they found secreted away on the tula of the Greydog clan. They slew one of Rangarda Dark-Eye’s sons, and wounded another. Clan leaders scolded Glendara. She was unrepentant. The people were glad to see her chastised, for they worried that her actions would embroil the clan in a costly feud.
- Thadart, the warrior whose visage was made monstrous by the alien god of the Tusk Riders, said that other members of the clan had dishonored him, and demanded that the clan ring reproach them. Korlmar sought to persuade the people to treat him with greater respect. Korlmar sought to persuade the people to treat him with greater respect. They protested that Thadart had not proven himself; he could still be a monster, waiting for the time to strike. Thadart was angered by their response and departed, never to return.
- Bandits blocked our emissary to the Blue Jay clan. Kulbrast tried to bargain with them, but got nowhere. Kulbrast abandoned the caravan rather than risk the lives of his escort.
- Foul weather turned back our diplomatic mission to the Elkenvali.
- Endal told us we should take in Orlkensor Bronzebones, a warrior outlawed by the Greydogs. We demanded that he explain why he was outlawed. Orlkensor would not say. We gave him quarters in the chief’s hall. We heard some grumbling from the other weaponthanes, who said that Orlkensor had not worked for this honor. Later, when they had time to grumble, the warriors complained that we should have respected Orlkensor’s obviously honorable desire to remain silent.
- Foul weather turned back our diplomatic mission to the Herani.
- A Uroxi warrior came to demand that Orlkensor Bronzebones fight him to the death. We asked Orlkensor why the Uroxi sought him. “I am grateful to you for taking me in. But please do not ask me more. I have sworn not to speak of this.” We asked the Uroxi what Orlkensor had done to besmirch his honor. “It is not your business,” the Uroxi said. “It is between the defiler and me.” We suggest that they resolve their differences peacefully. This won a sad look from Orlkensor and crazed laughter from the Uroxi. We used force to drive the Uroxi off. Enraged, the Uroxi fought off the warriors we sent to drive him away. He wounded some of our fighters, and then said he would leave. “Orlkensor should not consider our dispute settled,” the Uroxi said. “I will not violate the sanctity of your clan hall by going in to get him now. But I shall get him. That I swear, by Urox’s horns.”
- A delegation of the clan’s leading men raised serious complaints against the job Asborn was doing as chief. The complainers eloquently made the point that they spoke on behalf of the entire clan. The ring reminded the complainers of their obligation to follow chosen leaders.

- Our ancestors began the year in a good mood.

- Wilms of the Heran clan offered us food in exchange for a favor. Wilms agreed to trade instead.
- People from the Brown Boar clan came and said we should raid them, and they would contrive things so that we would kill their mad chieftain. We agreed to help them.
- We raided the Brown Boars. We broke the jar containing the whirlwind. It roared out, into the midst of our foes, where it wreaked havoc. Before the battle even began, 55 of the Brown Boars were out of action.
- We could do no more than fight on the land we wished to claim, and eventually had to withdraw. Orlkensor Bronzebones distinguished himself in the fighting. Their contrivance did not work. Their chieftain learned of their scheme, and submitted several members of his own ring to torture.
- We were raided by the Blue Jays. The Blue Jay clan burned 3 steads.
- The Blue Jays were content to harass us with missile fire as we withdrew.
- We were raided by the Brown Boars. The Brown Boars were content to harass us with missile fire as we withdrew.
- Outlaws blocked our caravan to the Blue Jay clan. Kulbrast tried to bargain with them, but got nowhere. Kulbrast attacked, but was wounded and had to return home.
- Humakti warriors sought our help in a war party against walking corpses. We sent warriors to fight alongside them. They said we were honorable, and then departed with our warriors in tow.
- Brodasart, son of Glendara, was slain by relatives of Rangarda Dark-Eyes of the Greydog clan. We warned Greydog leaders that more killing might follow. They thanked us for the warning. But many of our own people thought that the clan leaders cared too much for the feelings of outsiders, and not enough for those of the Lannisters. Discontent spread throughout the tula.
- Orlkensor was found slain. We sought the killer among the Greydogs. Vingulf, the Uroxi warrior who once challenged Orlkensor to a duel, boldly admitted to the deed, and contemptuously tossed the wergild at our feet. We insisted that Vingulf apologize for his harsh words. But he merely insulted Orlkensor further. We took the silver and left.
- Devotees of Odayla, the hunting god, sought our support for a quest to the realm of the gods. We chose to lend them a treasure. They were pleased to receive it, and said that Kolakar would make use of it in the realm of the gods. Not long after, we heard what had happened at the ritual. Kolakar entered the realm of the gods and defeated Gagarth. Everyone knew that the hunting would now improve, and that those who had supported the Odaylans would be rewarded in kind. Kolakar’s clan returned our treasure to us after the ceremony.
- Outlaws blocked our emissary to the Blue Spruce clan. Kulbrast tried to save his men, but the outlaws attacked anyway. Our people managed to get away, but were wounded in the fighting.

- Priests and thanes from the Greenwing clan come to request the right to adopt a baby, one they said would grow up to become a great hero of the Knowing God. We granted their request, in exchange for a gift of knowledge. They said they would be happy to tell us the tale of “The Making of the Storm Tribe” in return for the baby.
- Starvation hit our clan.

- We were raided by the Blue Jays. We drove the Blue Jays off, and were happy to have survived the battle.
- Dangmar led a delegation of carls to complain that we were too war-like, and that the crops were suffering as a result. Asborn made many salient points, and Dangmar departed.
- The harvest was plentiful.
- Outlaws stole sheep from us. The people tried to conceal their misgivings about our new clan members, but fell short of the mark.
- Starvation hit our clan.
- Carls from the Apple clan came and demanded that we take the trollkin back, not only refunding the price, but paying compensation as well. “Sacrifice the things,” we said, “You’ll get more from the gods than from us.” They argued that the gods would be offended by such a useless sacrifice, and could not be swayed. “If you cannot control your thralls,” we said, “that is not our responsibility.” We convinced them that the legal precedents were on our side. Although they were not happy to do so, they admitted that the fault was not ours.
- Korlmar attempted the heroquest of Orlanth and Aroka. Korlmar became as one with Orlanth. Ernalda told him that his nephew, Daga, was causing a drought and harming the people. Orlanth said that he would drive off or kill Daga. Korlmar fought against Daga. Korlmar took enough blows from Daga to complete the requirements of the myth, then fled. Korlmar gathered weapons, then other enemies attacked him. Gagarth buffeted Korlmar with the awesome Wind From Above. He was driven bleeding from the realm of the gods, and reappeared in the ritual ground, to the disappointment of the worshippers who had invested so much energy in supporting his journey to the Other Side.

- The clan approached the ring to voice their fears. Everyone told the ring that since we lacked enough wealth, it was time to disband the clan.
- Everyone quickly packed up, said their farewells, and left. Many farmers had kin nearby, and so obtained entry into neighboring clans. The weaponthanes and crafters quickly found work among the many clans. Some of the hunters joined other clans, some melted into the wildlands. A few families decided to return to Heortland. A few of these even became loyal followers of the Pharaoh, to the sorrow of those who had known and liked them here. Orlaront spent a few seasons with the Lhankor Mhy worshippers of the Greenwings, and was later adopted into the clan.
- Kulbrast offered his trading skills to the Ernaldori clan, and soon gathered riches for himself and his clan ring. After appropriate divination, Minara went to the Blue Jays who gladly took her in. The Brown Boars took in Asborn, who eventually became chief — and grew just as mad as the rest of them.
- As the last clan members left the tula, one of our more poetic carls gazed back at the empty steads, ruined fortifications, and weed-encroached fields. Before turning away for the last time, he uttered our final words: “We will not be remembered as a great clan. Or even an adequate clan. If the sagas mention us at all, they will recall our terrible mistakes. We acted when we should have listened, failed to act when we should have done great deeds, and made enemies where we should have made friends. Our people are dispersed, our ring disgraced, our tula abandoned. Thus ends our sorry tale, the tale of clan Lannister.”
