- >Unicorns are just legend!
- >Is this a joke?
- >It's a terrible one if so.
- >You kneel down and move the horn to see if it slides off.
- >It is cold to the touch and moves the head when you push it.
- >You put your fingers on its neck to see if it is alive.
- >A light pulse is felt and you smile.
- >It's not injured.
- >Just then, a growl is heard from deeper in the forest.
- >Not wasting any time, you lean down and scoop the unicorn up into your arms.
- >After standing, you start walking down the pond to the small cave at the end of it.
- >Once you reach it, you lay the unicorn down on the cavern floor.
- >This should keep it safe for the night.
- >Just then, it shivers a little bit.
- >You look over at it.
- >It shivers again and you can hear its teeth chattering.
- >Well now that you think about it, it is pretty cold in here.
- >You remove your shirt and slide the unicorn closer to you.
- >As you do this, its legs open.
- >Alright, you know it's female.
- >Taking her in your arms, you wrap her in your shirt.
- >It fits her like a blanket.
- >A light smile seems to appear on her face once she feels the warmth.
- >This creature sure is a strange one.
- >Her eyes slowly start to open.
- >She looks at you and blinks a few times.
- >Then her pupils shrink to pinpricks and she opens her mouth, letting out a human-like scream.
- >"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
- >In sheer terror, you follow suit.
- "AAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
- >You both stop once realizing that you've been screaming at each other.
- >She scrambles off of you and scoots away.
- >"Who are you?!"
- "What art thou?!"
- >She blinks a few times.
- >"Can you understand me?"
- >You nod.
- "How..."
- >She shakes her head lightly.
- >"I don't know... I must have made a terrible mistake when casting that teleportation spell."
- >Casting spells?
- >So she can use magic.
- >It's just like in the legend.
- >This must be some kind of dream.
- >"Do you know what region of Equestria this is?"
- "Equestria?"
- >She gulps.
- >"I guess that's out of the question."
- >She then is silent and her face shows that of deep thought.
- >After looking around for a few seconds, she stares back at you.
- >"Where are we?"
- "This is King Lancelot the third's land."
- >She gasps.
- >"I've never heard of that..."
- >As she looks around trying to understand what is happening, you ask again.
- "What art thou?"
- >"Huh? Me? I'm a unicorn from Ponyville."
- "Ponyville?"
- >She nods.
- >"Yes, Ponyville. It's a small town in Equestria."
- >You shake your head to imply that you haven't the slightest idea of what she's talking about.
- >"Darn... Well, we can figure that out later. But first..."
- >She nears you, her eyes scanning you curiously.
- >"I didn't know there were other things like you."
- "What dost thou mean 'like you' ?"
- >She backs up a tiny bit in defense.
- >"I-I meant nothing by it, I just mean that I've never seen another one of you... What are you again?"
- "A human?"
- >She nods her head.
- >"Yes! That's what it was. Is this where the humans live?"
- "Yes, but-"
- >"Could I see them?"
- "Methinks it not be a good-"
- >"I'd sure love to see how they interact and learn some more from-"
- "Wench, halt thy interruptions!"
- >She stops talking and looks a little bit scared.
- "Apologies, but methinks it not be a good idea to see them. Many a folk might become hysterical once seeing a mythical creature such as yourself."
- >She looks confused as she asks.
- >"I'm a mythical creature here?"
- "Aye, the unicorn."
- >She shakes her head and looks around at the cave.
- >"That's really strange... So this is a kingdom?"
- "'Tis a cave."
- >After looking around, she sits down and lets out a deep sigh.
- >"You seem nice. Is it okay if I stay with you until I find out how to get back home?"
- >This mythical being has just come into this world and wants to stay with you of all people.
- >As you are about to explain to her why you cannot, her pupils begin to grow wide and her lip puckers.
- "M-Methinks thy-"
- >"Are you just going to leave me alone in this world I don't know?"
- >You stand.
- "Halt thy persuasive eyes. I've a blacksmith through the brush, let us go thither."
- >She stands and stops giving you that look.
- >"Thank you."
- >Nod to her.
- >Then put your shirt back on.
- >Exiting the cave with the purple unicorn, you look both ways to make sure no one can see you.
- >Once sure you're safe to go, you wave her to you and walk toward the bushes.
- >Moving quickly, you make it to the back of your house.
- >"Is this it?"
- >Pursing your lips and putting a finger to them, you shush her.
- >She nods and whispers an apology.
- >Walk closer to the house and open the back door, waving your arm to tell her to go inside.
- >She walks inside and you close the door behind you.
- >She walks over to the wall of pots and pans.
- >"So this is your house?"
- "Aye."
- >Walking past her, you go to the front of the shop and slide the heavy door shut.
- >Hopefully you'll be able to move it tomorrow, but it would be terrible for anyone to see this creature here.
- >Once you've made sure no one can see inside, you walk over to the corner and pick up the cloth there.
- >The unicorn watches as you lay down on the small pile of hay.
- >"Is that where you sleep?"
- "Aye, only the royals be rich enough to buy a bed."
- >She nods.
- >Then she shivers a bit.
- >"So um..."
- >She comes closer.
- >"Should I sleep here?"
- >She asks as she sits down next to the pile of hay.
- >You push some out from under you and she lays on top of it.
- >"Thanks.
- >Nod to her.
- "When you awake, wake me up."
- >She nods.
- >You shift under the cloth in an attempt to get warm.
- >The unicorn scoots over to your chest, her fur warming up the inside of the cloth.
- >You do not fight the action, simply turn away from her and accept the warmth.
- >The both of you lay under the covers facing away from each other.
- >She whispers.
- >"I never caught your name."
- "It's Anonymous."
- >"I'm Twilight Sparkle."
- >You let out a yawn.
- "Goodnight Miss Sparkle."
- >"Please, call me Twilight."
- >Saying nothing, you begin sleeping.
