  1. Player 1: Hitonai (Hollow)
  2. Player 2: Alice (Human)
  3.
  4. Hitonai's Turn:
  5. Hitonai lunges forward, the massive ursine hollow raising one if its claws the moment it was within striking distance before immediately lashing out with it in a downwards swipe aimed at the comparitively miniscule mortal woman's head.
  6. (This is the point in which Hitonai would make his attack roll whether it just be the regular roll or a technique, in this case a regular physical strength roll, and then he passes the turn over to Hitonai. As a note, you are allowed to make your attack roll before your turn so that you might include how powerful/skillful your attack was inside of your rp for extra flavor/style. Rolling it after the rp is simply for saving time with scrolling.
  7.
  8. For the example, this will be his roll: Physical Strength roll: 27 = 1 + 14 + 12)
  9.
  10. Alice's Turn:
  11. (Now is when Alice would roll her defense. She needs to do so before her rp, otherwise she wouldn't know just how much damage she would have taken from Hitonai's attack and as such wouldn't know how to react accordingly. At the moment there are three ways to defend against an attack: normal defense, countering and evasion. For simplicity's sake normal defense will be displayed here. It is still at this time that either of the other two would be used.
  12.
  13. For the example, this will be her roll: Physical Defence roll: 23 = 2 + 8 + 13
  14.
  15. Now that she knows what her rolls are she can write out her rp with the proper effects of the attack included. Since she took only 4 damage from the attack the effects are negligible. As a note, she may also make her attack roll now to see how powerful her own offensive would be before writing her rp. In keeping with the above flow though it will be done after her rp in this particular guide. The option is always open though.)
  16.
  17. Alice raised her arms above her head in a crossed guard in order to ward off the incomming blow, bending her knees as the massive paw collided with her arms in order to further absorb the shock of the attack. She hadn't accounted for the length of the beasts claws though, the tips of them carving small wounds into her upper arms that stung deeply but did little to actually detriment the woman's power. As was proven by the fact that she quickly thrust her arms upwards, hoping to wrap them around the paw held just above her head and then using her newfound grip and the preternatural strength she had been gifted with to shoulder throw the beast towards the nearby building. Hoping to inflict debilitating damage should she be successful.
  18.
  19. (Now is when Alice will make her own attack roll following the listed battle flow.
  20.
  21. For the example, this will be her roll Physical Attack roll: 43 = 20 + 12 + 11)
  22.
  23. Hitonai's Turn:
  24.
  25. (Given that we know how attacking and defense works in the battle flow now we'll move on to something a bit more complex. That being charging attacks. In this turn, after Hitonai rolls his defense to determine how much damage he took from Alice's powerful throwing manuever, he will declare his intent to begin charging his cero in his rp. Making it very clear that he is doing so inside of his post. While it is not necessary to note that you are charging a cero in an OOCSay comment it is still encouraged to make sure that there are no misunderstandings in your next turn.
  26.
  27. For the sake of saving space we will assume that Hitonai took some form of moderate damage but managed to survive and stay standing.)
  28.
  29. Hitonai (insert recieving of damage here). Now angered by the impudence of the fvicious female the large bear like monstrosity released a rage filled bellow from its viciously fanged maw. A horrendous sound that heralded the gathering of corrupt energy directly infront of the creature's open mouth, luminescent red particles gathering infront of it for the preparation of what would surely be a powerful spiritual attack.
  30.
  31. (Now the turns change again)
  32.
  33. Alice's Turn:
  34.
  35. (Here we will be assuming that Alice rushes forward in an effort to attack the massive beast, hoping to strike it down before it manages to release its spiritual payload. By some form of cursed bad luck though she rolls terribly low and doesn't manage to do any damage at all to the hulking beast. Thus her turn is over and she must face the consequences.)
  36.
  37. Hitonai's Turn:
  38.
  39. (Now that Hitonai's turn has come around again he can finally fire off the cero that he has been charging. Not only that but as the firing of the cero is a free attack for this turn the massive bear can also include another attack in his turn to account for the one he normally recieves every turn. This is what his turn will look like.)
  40.
  41. Hitonai clamped his jaws shut over the charging sphere of destructive energy once it had grown to the size of a small pumpkin. The demonic beast immediately flung its jaws open once more afterwards, releasing the gathered energy with an enraged roar aimed directly at its overly ambitious, soon to be meal. The blast ripping through the air at high speed on a collision course with the already too close Alice. The destructive force of the cero wasn't the only thing the woman had to contend with though, once the ferocious beam of energy had been released the massive bear lunged forward immediately after it, aiming to pin its foe and deal a finishing blow if its initial attack hadn't done the trick.
  42.
  43. (With his rp posted Hitonai would now click the cero verb in order to trigger the built-in roll as well as making a physical strength roll for his charging attack, forcing Alice to roll defense against both of them.)
  44.
  45. Alice's Turn:
  46.
  47. (Alice is an intelligent player though. Instead of choosing to try and stand up against both attacks she instead chooses to use her superior physical strength in order to counter the second one after rolling defense against the first. In this case she rolls her reiryoku defense and then makes a physical strength roll to fend off Hitonai's lunge, both of them being made before her rp.
  48.
  49. Again, in order to save space we will assume that this time Alice managed to defend against the cero enough to keep her alive and that her counter was successful, further ensuring her continued life.
  50.
  51. She's not out of the woods just yet though. Hitonai wasn't taken down by the damage he recieved from being on the losing side of the counter and now Alice will have to forgo attacking this turn because she does not have the passives to support a single counter followed by a normal attack. Without the additional damage to try and keep the bear down there's no telling if the injured warrior will be able to stay standing long enough to be the victor of this battle, nor is it a given that Hitonai will be able to fell her with his next blow. Only time and the players themselves will be able to tell.)
