Chapter 48

01: Passing through security.

02: The group stands in shock of the Extraspecies Expo.

03: Passing by exhibits for Lamias, Mermaids, Centaurs and Harpies, Miia tries to take Darling to the Lamia exhibit. Cerea objects, saying they need to be on guard, so she’ll protect him. As they argue, a loud, familiar voice call out for trial members.

04: Turning, they see a booth manned by Kobolds including Polt selling Kobold-Style exercise machines. When asked if they have culture exchange booths too, Polt says of course they do, but at the Expo they’re also selling various extraspecies goods in cooperation with private businesses as well. Polt shows they have a Centaur-style riding machine, complete with seat adapters for Mermaids and Lamias as well. Eagar to show it off, she quickly hops on.

05: Her demonstration attracts a lot of attention, but Darling says they’ll come back for a better look later after walking around for a while.

06: Wandering around, they come across specialty rooms for poikilothermic species. Asking to see one, they’re told that it’s for poikilotherms only, do Darling can’t come in. Also, there’s already some in there. Draco sits with a glass of grape juice, saying she was waiting for Miia, and its time to practice their life together.

07: Which is ignored, as they didn’t bother going in, and are looking at tail warmers instead (which prompts Darling to say “It’s like the one I made for you a while ago.”) Draco is crushed, but the company begins its demo of the room. The glass clouds and a staff member tells Draco to change into her swimsuit in one minute, saying “It’s in your contract”, which Draco confess to not have read before signing. She rushes for her swimsuit only to find a pair of men’s trunks.

08: The glass unfogs, revealing Draco. The staff member comments “Oh, you were a girl?”. The groups makes their way to a photo exhibit of Monster Girls working in society, which Miia lords over Cerea’s head. Cathyl and Merino make their greeting, saying they’re the representatives for this booth.

09: The booth also has a “Sheep and Cow Milking Experience”. Which shocks them until they reason “It must be done by machine, right?” However, Merino says it’s done by hand, showing lines for sheep and cow with a three-hour wait. Guiding the first two, they urge them to “be gentle” and that” it’s a delicate area, so if you’re rough, I’ll kill ya”

10: With the men being show how to properly milk a sheep and cow, the group moves to an accessories booth. Cerea is surprised to see Centaur shoes, as she finds it difficult to wipe her feet coming in the house. When she worries about how difficult it would be to wear and take them off, the staff shows her the remote that can be used, to her surprise.

11: Miia is similarly thrilled with an automatic tail cleaner, lamenting how difficult it is to clean her tail when coming inside. She wonders if she should just go all out and buy one. Mero is similarly shown a land/water compatible automatic wheelchair, but says the one she has is enough. When Miia and Cerea press her on this, saying she doesn’t have to worry about money, Mero says that if she gets rid of her current wheelchair, Dear Sir won’t be able to push her anymore.

12: This leads to Miia and Cerea realizing if they bought these new items, they’d similarly lose out on when Darling helps them clean, and they pass. Papi watches, but suddenly finds herself tired, and someone bumps into her, apologizing as they head into a room for nocturnal species. Papi follows, and Suu realizes she’s gone missing.

13: The individual who bumped into Papi is resting in the room, exhausted from the crowds, saying they need “nutritional supplement, and quick, especially after what happened yesterday, and that it’s difficult to move around in the day” as someone approaches. Dozing off, she suddenly wakes up, glad that she hadn’t been out long, saying she should rest more as the expo runs into the night.

14: She looks down and sees Papi sleeping in her lap.
