Train your bodyguards in these setups appropriate to the situation.
Make sure you retrain your bodyguards based on your rank. This is very important to increase your chance of killing and survival.
Always train/buy the bodyguards in the correct order! First 1, then 2, then 3, etc.

SETUP BEFORE BRUGLIONE:
1. Lee 10 Defense
2. Ike 10 Defense
3. Joe 10 Defense
4. Ray 10 Defense
5. Lex 10 Defense

WAR SETUP BEFORE BRUGLIONE (CHIEF/LC WAR)
1. Lee 10 Defense
2. Ike 10 Defense
3. Joe 10 Defense
4. Ray 10 Defense
5. Vic 10 Attack

BRUGLIONE SETUP
1. Lee 10 Defense
2. Ike 10 Defense
3. Ray 10 Defense
4. Joe 10 Attack
5. Vic 10 Attack

BRUGLIONE WAR SETUP
1. Lee 10 Defense
2. Ray 10 Defense
3. Ike 6 Defense, 4 Attack
4. Joe 10 Attack
5. Vic 10 Attack

If you are shooting someone lower than yourself, you can train Ike more offensively. Make sure you don't overdo it, and keep it at 5 attack MAX.
Training higher than this can result in you getting killed in backfire.
