  6. A patch of overcast clouds slowly streamed across the sky as Ciel walked briskly towards the parking lot of the Slice Bros pizza building. She had been craving a pepperoni and sausage pizza for a few days, and knew that this was a good day to begin preparations. It was bright in the afternoon sun despite the cloud cover, and since the weekend would be their busiest times, she had to make sure everything went according to plan. She walked over by one of the delivery cars and attached a small black box to the underside of the vehicle. She knew that this particular car belonged to the delivery worker who had shifts on Fridays and Saturdays after observing weeks of routine deliveries by the driver. After attaching the black box, she synchronized the signal receiver in her watch to the device. No one was around to notice this, as she had counted on the usual traffic of customers and workers in the area, and could avoid any suspicious looks. Ciel promptly made her way to the public access railways stop and got aboard, returning to her luxury apartment in the downtown hub of Atlas.

  8. As Saturday night rolled around, Ciel order a large pepperoni and sausage pizza through her wristwatch application. As she finished ordering, the smiling face of the Slice Bros logo appeared and told her it would 30 minutes to deliver her pizza. The delivery driver left the restaurant with her order precisely as she had predicted, and made his way downtown. As he drove, he noticed that when he approached any red lights, they instantly turned green in his favor while the lights ahead all coordinated to deter traffic before he even made it that far down each block. The timer on Ciel's watch counted methodically toward the last few seconds needed for the pizza to arrive on time. She rose from her Atlesian leather chair and walked towards her apartment door while the remaining seconds ticked away. At the last second, she opened the door just as the delivery driver was about to knock. He was taken by surprise to see the door open so suddenly. It must have just been a long string of coincidences. After all, it wasn't like she could have made those lights turn green right when he needed them to.

  10. The driver pulled the pizza box out of the delivery bag. "Hello, miss. That will be $13.75". Ciel payed electronically with a wireless transfer application directly to the store's cashiering service. A voice spoke out from her wristwatch. "Your payment was approved! Thank you!". Ciel then took the pizza box over to her chair and sat down as she began to take slice out to eat. The driver had a nervous look on his face. Ciel noticed this and asked "What's wrong?". The delivery driver said "Well, it's just kinda weird. I've never delivered here before and I get lost sometimes. But I had a perfect straightaway over here and sometimes it felt like the car was taking me instead of me driving." Ciel smiled and gulped down the last bit of her first slice. "That wasn't a coincidence. I made sure you arrived on time just when you were supposed to." As she finished talking, a loud pop and crackling sound came from the street where the driver had parked. "What was that?!" the driver said. Ciel reached for another piece and mused. "That was a little device to make sure you didn't get lost or be late. It disintegrates after detonation and won't leave any damage to your car, I assure you."

  12. The driver spun back around to face Ciel. "So you mean that you planned all of this?"

  14. Ciel reached into her purse, pulled out an Atlesian coin worth $2 and flung it at the wall adjacent to him. It ricocheted off three spots behind him until it landed safely into his left front pocket.
  15.
  16. Ciel smiled coolly at him. "Bullseye".
