DF Game Club: S&M Reality 2.0 (part 2)

(06:52:58) flesk: There's so much fun stuff to do in that game.
(06:53:26) Permafry_42: It and Costume Quest  were what got me into df games; long before i had heard of the lucas arts games
(06:54:24) Permafry_42: I love that both of them mix adventure elements with other genres to create different feeling gameplay from most adventure games
(06:54:48) Cheeseness: We don't have a confirmed date from Lee yet
(06:54:49) Syd: Psychonauts is what got me into DF. Bought the PS2 version on a whim because I vaguely recalled hearing that it was good, and fell in love.
(06:55:17) flesk: Yeah, same with Psychonauts. More adventure elements there than in most other 3D platformers.
(06:55:18) Syd: The PS2 version was a kinda sloppy port but that didn't stop me from enjoying it
(06:55:51) Cheeseness: Broken Age for me. I feel like an imposter >_<
(06:55:52) Permafry_42: yeah i think i first heard of and played psychonauts after watching zero punctuation's review of it
(06:56:27) flesk: I mentioned earlier that I finished BoUT2, chapter 1. Have any of you played it?

(07:43:07) Syd: That was one of my favorite Sam & Max season one episodes, though I think Abe Lincoln barely beats it

(07:44:10) Permafry_42: oh yeah there's also a flash game based on the bionicle toy series that i was thinking might be a cool option. I'll be sure to post it on the planning thread to see what people think about doing it

(07:45:19) Syd: Sometimes I wished that the character animations in season 1 and 2 were as good as they were in the intros and outros for each episode, but they were pretty much brought up to that level in season 3
(07:46:28) Cheeseness: Mmm
(07:46:29) Syd: If you pay attention, you can tell that the lip syncing was a lot better during those sequences, and they also just moved around a lot more in general, but budgets and time constraints kept that from happening. :P
