  1. Laser Pistol (Ex) The gunslinger’s laser pistol
  2. is a one-handed firearm that shoots a
  3. beam of highly focused light at its target,
  4. dealing 1d8 points of fire damage on
  5. a successful hit. The gun has a range increment of 50
  6. feet, and its attacks resolve against the target’s touch AC.
  7. Lasers can pass through force fields and force effects like
  8. a wall of force without damaging that field to strike a foe
  9. beyond. Objects like glass or other transparent barriers do
  10. not provide cover from lasers (but unlike force barriers,
  11. glass still takes damage from a laser strike passing
  12. through it). Invisible creatures are immune to damage
  13. caused by lasers. Fog, smoke, and other clouds provide
  14. cover in addition to concealment from laser attacks. Each
  15. shot expends 1 charge of the gun’s 10-charge capacity.
  16. As a semiautomatic weapon, the gun fires one shot per
  17. attack. If the gunslinger wishes, he can fire an additional
  18. shot per round as if using the Rapid Shot feat. This
  19. additional shot can stack with the additional shot granted
  20. by Rapid Shot, but when it does so, it increases the
  21. penalty for all shots fired that round to –6. A laser pistol is
  22. worth 10,000 gp and weighs 2 pounds.
  23. Numerian Silverdisks (Ex) These small, coin-sized discs are
  24. etched with circuitry, and contain 10 charges
  25. each. When placed in a special slot in the
  26. gunslinger’s laser pistol, a silverdisk transfers
  27. its charge into the gun’s internal capacitors,
  28. effectively reloading the weapon. A
  29. silverdisk can be recharged (with a
  30. 20% chance of being destroyed)
  31. with an active generator. A
  32. charged silverdisk glows with light
  33. equivalent to that of a candle. A
  34. Numerian silverdisk is worth 100 gp
  35. as long as it is capable of holding a
  36. charge; a dead silverdisk is worth
  37. 1 gp.
