It was a normal routine mission for Amethyst and Pearl. They were going out to check for any possible problems on some part of the earth accessible by the warp pads. Honestly, it was incredible boring. For Amethyst at least.

"How much longer do we have to be here?" Amethyst groaned. "We've searched all over this place ten times already!"

Pearl sighed at Amethyst's behavior.
"As long as needed Amethyst." Pearl responded.

Pearl walked around the area, the landscape being a cavern filled with gem shards sticking outwards.
"These gems look very suspicious to me." Pearl said as she leaned down to examine on closely.

Amethyst rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I don't even really need to be here." she said. "Hey, don't get too close to those gems. They're pretty sharp." she warned.

Pearl scoffed at Amethyst's words.
"Like I'm scared of sharp gems." Pearl got closer.

"I'm serious, you could get hurt." Amethyst said. She wasn't really worried, Pearl was smart enough to not get that close to the shard, right? Pearl was smart, she could handle this.

"Will you shut up?! I can handle myself! Unlike you!" Pearl snapped.

Amethyst got up and walked towards Pearl. "What was that?" she said, "I'm prefectly capable of doing anything you can do!"

"Please! You're as reliable as a human infant!" Pearl shouted.

Amethyst growled a bit. "That's some big talk!" she said. In a fit of anger, she pushed Pearl!

Pearl gasped and fell head first onto one of the sharp gems.

Pearl seemed unconscious.

Amethyst gasped and ran over to Pearl. "Are you okay!?" she screamed wildly. Pearl had a small, but noticeable crack on her gem. Not good.

"Ugh, my head." Pearl groaned as she looked up at Amethyst.
"Amethyst, you big baby! Why the heck did you push me?!" Pearl stood up over Amethyst, but was unknowingly currently wetting herself in front of the other gem.

"Because you called me a-" Amethyst suddenly stopped speaking at the sight of Pearl wetting herself and laughed. "Hahaha!"

Pearl became angrier.
"What is so funny?!" Pearl shouted at Amethyst.

"Hahaha!" Amethyst continued to laugh. "Why don't you look down!" she said while still chuckling at Pearl.

Pearl looked down and gasped at her soaking wet pants.
"What?! But how?! Crystal Gems don't urinate!" She tried to cover her wet self with her skirt, but failed.

"I'm not sure, but whatever the reason it's incredibly funny!" Amethyst said, still laughing. "I have to go tell everybody!" She began to run off back to the warp pad.

"Amethyst! Please don't tell anyone! I'm begging you!" Pearl shouted as she began to cry.

Amethyst smirked. "Alright then, I won't tell anyone." she said, "But you owe me something big."

Pearl sighed in relief, but wondered what Amethyst wanted.
"Fine, name your price..." Pearl groaned.

"It's pretty simple. I want to take care of a baby. You can figure out things from here." Amethyst said with a smirk.

Pearl blushed.
"You cannot be serious! I'm not a baby!" Pearl shouted.

"I'm pretty sure I've heard that babies wet themselves before." Amethyst said. "And I'm completely serious. Let's go."

Pearl began to pout.
"Fine! But what do I have to do though?" Pearl asked.

"You saw how Greg took care of Steven, right?" Amethyst asked, "Diapers, feeding, playing. The whole thing."

Pearl blushed even more.
"D-d-diapers?! Feeding?! You know I hate both of those things!" Pearl shouted

"I'm sure you'll get used to it." Amethyst said, "Besides, do you really have much of a choice?"

Pearl looked down and shook her head.
"You promise not to tell anyone?" She asked.

"I promise not to tell anyone." Amethyst said. "Let go now. I'm sure those wet clothes are uncomfortable."

Pearl nodded and followed Amethyst.

They got onto the warp pad and went back to the temple. They got off when they reached there and no one else was there. "Alright Pearl, get out of your wet clothes. Shape shift them to be dry or something."

Pearl nodded and turned her clothes dry instantly.

"Now, let's go to some stores to get a few things we need." Amethyst said. "We'll need high chairs, bottles, a crib, diapers obviously..."

"Are you seriously going to buy all of that?!" Pearl asked.

"I am." Amethyst said. "Don't ask how I got the money, just know that I didn't do it in illegal methods."

"Amethyst, this is humiliating! Can't I just ask Steven to fix my gem?" Pearl whimpered.

"I suppose you could do that if you wanted to..." Amethyst said, "But I think making you my baby will be much more fun." She grabbed Pearl and started to forcefully take her out of the house.

"Wait, what if I wet myself again?" Pearl asked worriedly.

"I suppose you'll just have to walk around with wet pants for a while, won't you?" Amethyst said

"But that's not fair!" Pearl whimpered.

"Alright, if you wet yourself you can run back to the temple or something." Amethyst said.

"Fine..." Pearl huffed as she followed Amethyst.

They walked through town and went to various stores. The first stop, the pharmacy. "Come in if you want to." Amethyst said.

"I'll stay outside thank you." Pearl pouted.

"Suit yourself then." Amethyst said as she went into the store. Thirty minutes later she came out holding multiple large bags. "To the next store."

"Fine, where to?" Pearl asked.

"That baby store to buy the crib and high chair." Amethyst said.

Pearl blushed.
"I can't believe you..." She fumed.

Amethyst just laughed. "I can't believe that I'm actually going to do this!" she said. They got to the store and Amethyst went in.

Pearl blushed and folded her arms as she stood outside again.

Amethyst walked out. "Alright, the furniture will be hauled to the temple in a few hours." Amethyst said. "Let's head back now. We need to get a certain baby diapered up."

Pearl huffed.
"Amethyst this is crazy! I do not need those infant garments!" Pearl said getting close to Amethyst, unknowingly wetting herself again.

"Oh really?" Amethyst said as she pointed down. "Might want to make sure of that, Pearl."

Pearl looked down and quickly covered herself before running back to the temple in tears.

Amethyst quickly followed her. "You okay, Pearl?" she asked a bit worried.

"Okay?! My gem is cracked and now I'm somehow wetting myself? None of this makes sense! And you're treating this like a joke!" Pearl shouted trying to collect her thoughts.

"Okay, calm down." Amethyst said. "Look, I'll get Steven and see if he can fix you're gem. Change your clothes and I'll get him."

"Thank you, Amethyst..." Pearl smiled.

"Stay here and I'll go find him." Amethyst said as she went to try and go find Steven so that he could possibly help.

Pearl nodded and stood where she was.

A few minutes later, Amethyst came back. "So...Garnet said that Steven was at Connie's house and would be spending the night there." she said.

Pearl groaned.
"Fantastic..." She said as she slumped to the ground.

"Hey, don't worry. Steven will be here in the morning." Amethyst said. "Until then...you might want to actually consider the diaper."

Pearl sighed.
"Alright, but you better not tell anyone!" She shouted as she walked towards the temple.

"Believe me, I won't." Amethyst said as she followed Pearl.

Pearl walked back to the temple and looked around to see if the coast was clear.

Indeed it was...for now. "Alright, get the diaper on." Amethyst told Pearl.

Pearl sighed and was handed the bag with the diapers, she opened the package of diapers and the design was that of a cartoonish clam with a baby pearl in its mouth, this did not amuse Pearl.
"You better be joking..." She blushed, completely humiliated by the design.

"Thought that it suited you." Amethyst chuckled at remembering the design she picked out for Pearl. "So no, I'm not joking. Now get in it before you wet yourself again."

Pearl grumbled as she unfolded a diaper and pulled her pants down.
"Stupid earth infantile....garment..." She fumed as she struggled to put it on right, which made Amethyst laugh.
"Well I don't know these stupid things! If you know them so well then put them on for me!" She blushed realizing what she just asked.
"Wait! Hang on!"

Amethyst grinned and pushed Pearl to the ground. She took the diaper from Pearl and slid it under her. "Remember, you asked for this!" she chuckled.

Pearl whimpered.
"Not so rough!"

Amethyst chuckled. "Lighten up." she said as she powdered.

Pearl sneezed at the excess powder Amethyst used.

Amethyst then carefully taped the diaper up. "There you go!"

Pearl whined and tried to close her legs, but the diaper was too thick.
"How am I supposed to walk in this thing?!" She blushed.

"I don't know, just crawl." Amethyst said. "By the way, you look pretty cute in that. I'm sure Steven would think so."

Pearl pouted and folded her arms.
"But, Crystal Gems are supposed to be strong and threatening..." She said inadvertently crossing her legs and looking adorable, prompting Amethyst to take a picture.

Amethyst took out a phone she got from Steven and snapped a picture. "Sorry, I couldn't help it." she said smiling. "I'm gonna go send this to Steven now. He likes cute things."

Pearl gasped loudly.
"DON'T YOU DARE!!!" She got up to grab the phone, but wobbled and fell flat on her face, and her gem...
"Amegesh!!" She shouted and quickly shut her mouth blushing blue as her gem cracked a bit more.

Amethyst's eyes widened in horror as she rushed to Pearl's aid. "Are you alright?!" she questioned worriedly as she looked at the cracked gem. "This is bad...I'm going to tell Steven to get over here as soon as possible."

Pearl began to breath heavily and sobbed loudly as she hugged Amethyst for comfort.
"Amegesh..." She whimpered as she clung to the smaller gem.

Amethyst picked Pearl up and took her to the couch. "Lay down here, everything is going to be fine."

Pearl smiled as she nuzzled Amethyst happily.
"Wub yuu Amegesh." She was then laid down as she sucked on her thumb.

Amethyst was worried by this. "I'm going to go get Steven." she said. She picked up the phone and texted Steven asking where he was.

Pearl didn't understand why she was sucking her thumb, but it felt comforting...

Amethyst texted Steven. "WHERE ARE YOU? COME QUICKLY, PEARL NEEDS SOME HELP."

Steven went wide eyed and texted back:
'OMG, okay on my way!'

"Connie I gotta go!" Steven said to Connie as he ran out of her place.
"Lion!" He called and soon his buddy showed up, the two began to head to the temple.

Pearl began to take a nap on the couch, quite adorably I might add.

"Steven! I'll try to come by later!" Connie yelled as Steven went away.

Amethyst paced back and forth waiting. She seemed anxious and worried, for good reason

Pearl kept sleeping before Steven ran in.
"Pearl! Amethyst!" He shouted.

"Hey, quiet down!" Amethyst said as she walked over to Steven.

Steven shushed himself and noticed Pearl on the couch in the diaper.
"Awwww!!! She's so adorable!" He smiled.

"She is, but that's not what I called you over for." Amethyst said. "Look at her gem..."

Steven saw how cracked it was and gasped.
"Oh man! Okay. Let me try to heal it." He spit on his hand and touched her gem...nothing.

Pearl whimpered at Steven's touch.

"W...why isn't that working?" Amethyst asked, scared for Pearl. "Steven, try again!" she commanded.

Steven began to sweat.
"Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!" He shouted as he tried it again.

Amethyst sighed. "You can stop. It doesn't seem to be working right now." she said.

Steven groaned.
"I'm sorry Amethyst..."

Pearl shivered a bit.

"Got any clothes for her?" Steven asked.

"Oh, uh, yeah." Amethyst said as she looked through a bag. "I did."

Steven rubbed Pearl's head.
"It'll be okay Pearl."

"I guess we should just wait for her to wake up." Amethyst said as she sat down. "Her cracked gem is having some weird effects on her."

Pearl yawned as she woke up and saw Steven.
"Steben!" She hugged him happily.

Steven was surprised by this and returned the hug.
"I see what you mean, why don't you get her dressed?"

"Of course." Amethyst said as she got out a large light blue onesie. "Come on, Pearl."

Pearl saw the onesie and stuck her tongue out.
"Nu!" She clung to Steven for protection.

Steven felt uncomfortable and tried to get her off.

"Come on Pearl, its just a onesie."

Amethyst sighed and walked over with the onesie. "Come on, Pearl. It's just clothing." she said. "Steven, could you possibly convince her? She seems to like you."

Steven smiled and rubbed Pearls head as he began to sing.
"Are you feeling a little chilly?
Well go ahead and put on your onesie!
I can guarantee you'll look adorable,
and anyone who says otherwise is just plain...umm deplorable!" He smiled.

Pearl blinked and then clapped at the song happily as she crawled over to Amethyst and reached for the onesie excitedly.
"Adowable!" She smiled.

Amethyst chuckled and began to dress Pearl in the onesie. "You're certainly good at this." she said. "May need your help later if she's being uncooperative."

Pearl smiled as she was dressed in her onesie.
"Adowable Amedesh?" Pearl asked Amethyst with an adorable look.

"You sure are." Amethyst said with a grin. "The most adorable!"

Pearl smiled wide and held her arms up to be held.
"Up! Up!"

Amethyst smiled and lifted Pearl upwards, a bit hard to do since Pearl was actually much taller than her, but she managed.

Pearl giggled as she was picked up.
"Mama Amedesh!"

Steven covered his mouth from laughter after hearing that.

Amethyst smiled a bit at that. She found that funny since she was technically thousands of years younger.

Pearl smiled.
"Hungry!" She shouted.

"Huh, she doesn't normally like to eat...at all." Amethyst said.

"She really is acting weird..." Steven said.

Pearl giggled and began to move playfully.
"Food! Food! Yummy!"

"Well, I guess we'll get her something to eat." Amethyst said as she took her to a chair. "I hope she can sit correctly..."

Pearl sat awkwardly and wobbled over before being held in place by Steven.
"Guess not..." He sighed.

Pearl only clapped and laughed.
"Fun!!"

Amethyst sighed. "I don't have any baby food on me like much, so what do you suggest I get her?"

Steven wondered.
"Milk?"

Pearl nodded happily.

"Fair enough. I thinks we have a bottle from when you were a baby around here..." Amethyst said as she looked around.

Pearl hummed Steven's song in her head as she waited for her bottle.

This gave Steven an idea as he ran to grab something.

Amethyst got a bottle and quickly filled it up with milk. She took it over to Pearl and stuck it in the gem's mouth.

Pearl sucked on the bottle happily.

Steven looked all over for it, but couldn't find it.
"Where is it?"

"Where's what?" Amethyst questioned Steven.

"My ukulele! Baby Pearl will love it!" Steven smiled as he continued his search.

"Oh! I think it's under the couch." Amethyst said with a smile.

Steven smiled as he looked under the couch and found it!
"Yes!" He ran over to Pearl who finished her bottle.
"Okay, ready baby Pearl?"

Pearl turned to Steven who began to play his ukulele.

Amethyst smiled as she watched Steven play. If his singing was anything to go by, baby Pearl was going to love his ukulele!

Pearl smiled wide and clapped to the ukulele tune Steven played.
"Haha!" She giggled.

"What is with all the racket?!" Peridot shouted coming from the bathroom.

Amethyst's eyes widened and she groaned. "I forgot about her." she said.

The portal activated and square-haired Gem came from it.

"I forgot about her too..."

Peridot walked out of the bathroom angrily.

Garnet walked into the room. "I'm back." she said simply.

"Oh, hey Garnet." Peridot said before noticing the scene before her.

Steven stopped playing which made Pearl frown and start to cry loudly.

Peridot was confused especially at Pearl's apparel.
"What is going on? Is this an earth custom I am not used to?"

"No, not particularly." Garnet said in her deadpan voice as she looked at the scene. Her eyes were immediately drawn to Pearl's gem. "What happened?"

"She, uh, hit her head and cracked her gem. Twice." Amethyst said.

"She's been acting like an infant ever since, oh speaking of...she needs a change." Steven notices Pearl's diaper turning yellow as she continued to cry.

Peridot was still perplexed by this.
"Question. What are babies?"

Garnet answered. "Babies are what humans are when they are first born. They are entirely incapable of taking care of themselves and must be looked over until they reach maturity."

"That about sums it up." Amethyst said.

"So that means...*pfft* Pearl is incapable of doing anything?!" Peridot laughed and walked over to the crying Pearl.
"I've always wanted to do this!" She blew a raspberry at Pearl and laughed, surprisingly this made Pearl laugh too.

"Nacho!" Pearl giggled.

This made Peridot fume angrily.

Amethyst chuckled at that. "You won't be able to do much to her while she's like this." she said. "She'll just laugh most things off."

Peridot sighed.
"Whatever then, her gem looks to be cracked to a point of a level 6 emergency, two more hits to it soft or hard and she's done for."

Steven gasped loudly.

"Relax! There is a solvent for gems like us to use for cracks like these, unfortunately the only known case of some is in the kindergarten, Steven and Amethyst you two shall join me, Garnet I trust you with Pearl the most so she won't break!" Peridot said as she walked over to the warp pad with Steven following.

Amethyst nodded her head and ran off. "Garnet! Make sure she doesn't get hurt!" she said as she got onto the warp pad and warped away.

Garnet gave an affirmative nod and looked at Pearl. "Alright, what do you want to do?" she asked.

Pearl looked at Garnet and giggled as she reached for her glasses.
"Ah! Ah!" She smiled wide.

Garnet chuckled slightly and handed her glasses to Pearl.

Pearl smiled at the glasses, but dropped them seeing Garnet's three beautiful eyes.
"Pwetty eye!" She giggled holding her arms up to be picked up.

Garnet smiled and picked Pearl up and held her high in the air.

Pearl smiled wide and held out her arms.
"Yay!" She laughed.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
"Delivery! There's a whole bunch of baby furniture out here!" A voice said.

Garnet heard and sat Pearl down on the couch. "Stay here." she instructed as she walked over to the door and opened it up.

"Hello. That stuff would be for me." Garnet said as she literally looked down upon the delivery man.

"Umm, okay. Sign here ma'am." He handed Garnet a clipboard.

Pearl didn't listen and followed Garnet happily.

Garnet signed the clipboard using Steven's name since just putting "Garnet" would likely seem strange.

"Huh? Pearl, I told you not to move."

"Mama!" Pearl smiled.

The deliveryman saw Pearl and simply smiled.
"Aww! She's so cute! Don't worry, I don't judge I think you're a great person for doing this for her, umm Steven!" He said as he walked off leaving the crates that were delivered in front of the house.

Pearl smiled and sucked her thumb happily.

Garnet smiled and began to bring the crates into the house. She unboxed them one by one until she got all of it out. It was all baby furniture. "Well, good thing someone bought this stuff. Probably Amethyst."

Pearl smiled happily.
"Toys?" She asked.

"Yeah, there's toys in this one." Garnet said as she dumped the box on the floor.

Pearl smiled as she crawled over to the pile, she grabbed a rattle and started shaking it happily.

Garnet grinned as she just watched Pearl play.

"Pway?" Pearl asked Garnet.

Garnet got down onto her knees near Pearl.

Pearl picked up a stuffed rabbit and a teddy bear.
"Pick." She smiled.

Garnet took the stuffed rabbit and held it up.

Pearl held the bear and had it dance.

Garnet smiled and had the rabbit follow the bear's actions. It danced around a bit.

Pearl giggled at this, but soon began to fidget.
"Wet, Mama Gamet." She whimpered.

Garnet picked Pearl up and took her over onto a changing table that she had gotten in the mail.

Pearl smiled, happy that she was getting a change.

Garnet took the changing supplies and untaped Pearl's diaper.

Pearl giggled as Garnet continued the diaper change.

Garnet wiped Pearl up and slid another diaper under Pearl.

Pearl was fidgeting as she was getting bored now.
"Pway!" She whined.

Garnet finished changing Pearl and sat the gem back into the ground.

Pearl smiled and began to play with her toys happily.

Garnet grinned slightly. "You're pretty cute like this." she said.

Pearl turned and smiled wide.
"Cyute?" She asked.

"Very cute." Garnet said.

Pearl giggled as she crawled over and hugged Garnet's legs.

Garnet grinned and picked her up.

Pearl smiled at Garnet.
"Ganet! Wove ou!"

Garnet grinned. "I love you too." she said.

Pearl hugged Garnet happily.
"Sweepy..." She said as her eyes drooped.

Garnet nodded and laid Pearl down on the couch. She opened a box that held a crib inside. She quickly assembled it and placed Pearl inside.

Pearl smiled as she got comfortable in the crib.
"Stowy?"

Garnet picked up a story book and began to tell a tale.

Pearl smiled at the story and began to fall asleep.

Garnet stopped halfway as Pearl was already asleep by that time. "I wonder when the others are getting back..." she said to herself.

Meanwhile...

Peridot and the others were searching the kindergarten for the solvent.
"Look for a panel of some kind, it should lead down to where the solvent should be."

"Alright, looking for a panel." Amethyst said as she looked around the kindergarten. "I hope Pearl isn't too mad at me for cracking her gem when she gets fixed up."

Peridot snickered.
"Don't worry, that kind of crack should affect her memory as well. She won't remember a thing, we can literally do whatever we want to Pearl and she won't remember!" She laughed loudly.

"Don't you dare try anything against her!" Amethyst said glaring at Peridot. "I don't care if she won't remember it."

Peridot gave Amethyst a blank stare.
"Oh come on, Pearl's a snob, but I don't want to hurt her. But as for you, I have a question. Pearl didn't wind up dressed up like that on her own, and Steven told me she was wearing that infant garment before he arrived. Perhaps you are the one that should be happy she won't remember anything?" She smirked.

Amethyst frowned and looked away. "Y-yeah...I blackmailed her into dressing like that...and I guess that inadvertently caused her to crack her gem again...and the first time." She sat down on a small rock and looked at nothing in particular. "I'm the one to blame for all of this..."

Peridot frowned.
"Look, I do not understand the feelings, but if I have hurt yours I apologize. I am sure Pearl will be fine, the solvent should be around here somewhere, and once we find it her gem will recover in a matter of a couple of days. Hopefully you are not uncomfortable with her current state?" She asked.

Steven had found a weird looking panel and smiled as he ran over to the others.

"No, but I'm sure she'll be when she finds out what happened to her." Amethyst said. She noticed Steven and smiled a bit. "Hey, did you find the panel?"

Steven nodded.

Peridot smiled.
"Look, if Pearl is your friend she won't be mad, otherwise she's just a clod." She shrugged as she followed Steven to the panel.

"Thanks for that." Amethyst said as she went after the other two to the panel. She pulled it open and looked inside.

"What do you see?" Peridot asked?
"There should be a akalonian compression unit."

Steven looked at her confused.

"It keeps things inside it safe and undamaged... It's long and cylindrical." Peridot explained.

"Oh! Like a thermos!" Steven smiled.

"A what?" Peridot asked confused herself.

"It's something you keep stuff in, sometimes to keep them warm." Amethyst explained as she looked around. "So we're trying to look for something that's shaped like a thermos then."

Peridot nodded.
"See anything like that?"

"Yeah, there are some over here!" Amethyst rushed as she saw one. She opened it and saw something inside. "Is this it?" she asked.

Peridot smiled as she saw a tube of gem solvent inside.
"Yes! Excellent! Let's head back to the temple!"

Amethyst smiled and took two tubes, just incase one dropped. "Alright, let's go!" she said as she ran.

Peridot nodded as the three ran back.

Back at the temple...

"Haha!" Pearl laughed happily as she was bounced on Garnet's knee.

Garnet had a grin on her face as she happily bounced Pearl, enjoying how happy Pearl looked.

Pearl kept laughing as she was bounced.
"Faser! Bouncie faser!'

Garnet grinned and began bouncing faster, possibly too fast...

Pearl's stomach began acting up a bit from all the shaking and had an accident, this ensued some crying as Garnet inadvertently spread a bit in Pearl's diaper by keeping up the bouncing.
"Sop! Sop! It spwead!!" She cried.

Garnet stopped the bouncing immediately. "Oh, I'm sorry." she apologized to the best of her abilities in the deadpan voice.

Pearl pouted.
"Don't sound sowwy Mama Ganet..." She whimpered as she turned away.

"No, I really am." Garnet said, trying to sound, well, sorry for what she did.

Pearl believed her and hugged Garnet.
"Change pwease?" She asked with a cute look.

"Of course." Garnet said as she laid her down on the changing table.

Pearl smiled and looked up at Garnet.
"Do ou wike me more dis way?" She asked with a struggled tone.

Garnet seemed a bit surprised. "You...remember how you were before?" she asked.

"A...a...ah wemember a wittle bit, not much dough..." Pearl said still looking like she was struggling to talk.

"Do you remember liking that way you were?" Garnet asked.

"So...stug up! No wanna try to be so per...per...perfeck!" Pearl managed to say with tears in her eyes.

Garnet hugged Pearl. "It's alright...don't worry."

Pearl hugged Garnet as she sobbed.
"No wanna be her again! Pwease no mama!" She cried loudly.

"You don't need to." Garnet said soothingly. "You can stay like this."

Pearl smiled happily and kept hugging Garnet.

Peridot and the others returned through the warp.
"We're back!"

"Yeah! And we can make Pearl better again!" Amethyst yelled loudly with a smile.

"Alright, but I think you should know that-" Garnet began to say before Amethyst took Pearl away from her;

Pearl panicked as Amethyst popped open something and was about to pour something on her gem.
"No!" She slapped the solvent away.

Peridot and Steven were shocked.

"Huh? Pearl, that'll make you yourself again!" Amethyst said giving her a grin. "Won't that be great? You'll be back to the way you were before!"

Pearl shook her head and got away from Amethyst as she hid behind Garnet for protection.

"P-Pearl? Are you alright?" Amethyst asked.

"She doesn't want to go back." Garnet said simply.

Pearl nodded.

"What?! Why not?" Peridot asked.

Steven was confused.
"Pearl why?"

Pearl looked away.

"Because, she doesn't want to be stuck up." Garnet explained.

"But...but she can't! We need her on missions and she'll be useless like this!" Amethyst said.

Pearl stuck her tongue out at Amethyst.

Amethyst scoffed. "You're just this way because you're gem is cracked! You'll realize that this is a terrible thing when I fix your gem!"

"I no wanna be that stug up and uppity agin! Wana be carfre!" Pearl said beginning to cry as she hugged Garnet tightly.

Amethyst grimaced and took out the other compression unit and walked towards Pearl. "Look, this is for your own good!" she said.

"Stop!" Garnet said.

Pearl cried.
"No wanna! Mama Ganet make her sop!" She shouted.

Amethyst got closer. Garnet got infront of her to stop the gem from advancing.

Steven stood next to Garnet.
"Amethyst, Pearl wants to be a baby."

Peridot scoffed and stood beside Amethyst.
"She is in a confused state! Besides, even if she wanted to stay this way, what about her gem? What if she hits it two more times?!"

"She's right!" Amethyst said. "Pearl is in constant danger like this! She won't be able to fight off anything here, so her gem is likely to break even more!"

"We'll make sure that doesn't happen." Garnet said. "We'll keep her safe."

"She won't go on missions, she'll stay here and be happy!" Steven shouted.

Peridot groaned.
"This is ridiculous, the more she stays like this the more cracked her gem can become, even if she doesn't get hurt it has a chance of cracking over time! Do you want her to be happy or dead?!" Peridot asked seriously.

"That's not possible! We need her as part of our team!" Amethyst said. "She can't just stay here like this and slowly die! We can't have that!"

Garnet grimaced. "That's enough!" she said.

"It certainly is! Garnet think about it, Pearl can still be a baby after this, somewhere deep down after we cure her, that baby Pearl will be in her. We just have to bring her out. Think about this logically." Peridot suggested to Garnet.

Garnet turned to Pearl. "...Do you think that would work?" she asked the gem simply. "I need your opinion on this."

Pearl fumbled with her fingers.
"M-maybe...if not no hate me mama?"

"Nobody will hate you for making this decision." Garnet assured.

Pearl smiled and nodded as she crawled over to Amethyst.

"The solvent should take about three earth cycles to fix her gem." Peridot explained.

"That sounds fair." Amethyst said as she took the solvent and directly applied it to Pearl's gem.

Pearl smiled as the solvent felt ticklish.
"Funny..."

Amethyst smiled as she finished with the solvent. "Feel alright?"

Pearl nodded and hugged Amethyst.
"Sowwy Amegesh."

Amethyst frowned and hugged Pearl. "I caused this."

"It otay. I no mad." Pearl smiled.

Amethyst picked Pearl up. "So what do you want to do now?"

"Pway?" Pearl smiled wide.

"Of course." Amethyst said as she sat near some toys. "I'm really sorry for saying all those things before..."

"It otay, wanna pway wif me?" Pearl asked with a big smile.

"I would like to do that." Amethyst said as she sat beside Pearl.

Pearl smiled as she crawled over to some stuffed animals.
"I wike teddies!" She picked up a blue teddy bear.

"Well, they are cute." Amethyst said as she picked one up. "Just like you."

Pearl giggled.
"Nu I not..."

"Of course you are." Amethyst said with a smile.

Pearl blushed and shook her head.
"Nu uh, me not cute."

"You definitely are. Very cute." Amethyst said.

Pearl smiled.
"Not in this icky onesie I not, wanna dwess!"

"A dress, huh?" Amethyst said. "I think I ordered some to come in the mail..."

Pearl smiled.
"Ganet! Boxes!" She pointed to Garnet.

Garnet nodded and opened each box until she found one filled with various dresses. "Found them."

"Ligh blu! Pweas!" Pearl smiled wide.

Garnet nodded and pulled out a frilly light blue dress.

Pearl smiled wide as she bounced up and down excitedly.

Garnet smiled and began to dress Pearl up.

Pearl giggled as she was dressed up.
"Pitails!" She shouted.

Garnet grinned and began to put Pearl's hair into adorable pigtails.

Pearl clapped happily.
"Tank ou!"

"It was no problem." Garnet said.

Pearl giggled happily.
"Pway Ganet?"

Garnet simply sat down infront of Pearl. "What would you like to play?"

"Wanna pway...I no no." Pearl shrugged cutely.

"Hmm, there are some blocks there." Garnet said.

Pearl smiled and crawled over to them.
"Towa?"

Garnet nodded and began to slowly build a tower of blocks.

Pearl smiled and clapped at the tower.

Garnet built it up until the last block, which she handed to Pearl.

Pearl smiled as she held the tower.
"Fow me? Wah we do wit it?"

"Whatever you want with it." Garnet said.

Pearl smiled.
"Amegesh! Smash it!" She giggled.

Amethyst walked over to the tower. "Alright, let's go!" she said as she lightly kicked it.

Pearl frowned.
"Meh..."

Steven frowned too.
"Come on Amethyst, for you that was weak."

Amethyst scowled. "Alright, I'll do it better!" she said as she quickly rebuilt the tower and hit it with a powerful kick.

Pearl stuck her tongue out.
"Bigga!"

"Yeah! Turn into a monster or something!" Steven smiled.

"Okay, bigger than!" Amethyst said as she rebuilt the tower, this time larger, and became a large monster. She knocked the blocks around the room.

Pearl clapped her hands happily.
"Yay!!!"

Amethyst turned back and smiled at Pearl.

"Yay! Amegesh so fun!" Pearl giggled.

Amethyst smiled and picked Pearl up.

Pearl giggled.
"You so cool Amegesh!"

"Thank you." Amethyst said smiling.

Pearl yawned loudly.
"Nappy?"

Amethyst picked Pearl up and laid her in a crib.

"Night Amegesh..."

"Goodnight, Pearl." Amethyst said smiling.

Pearl was already asleep and sucking her thumb happily.

Amethyst looked at her and smiled. "Well, what should we do now?"

Steven yawned.
"A nap sounds good to me, night guys!"

Peridot shrugged and walked into the bathroom.
"I shall return to my domicile, goodnight."

"Goodnight." Amethyst said as she went to relax in her pile of junk that she called her room. Garnet simply said nothing and went to her room to do whatever she does.

Pearl slept peacefully as the night went by uneventfully.

Morning soon came and Amethyst went to wake Pearl up.

Pearl had a big accident on herself, but was smiling in her sleep nonetheless.

Amethyst decided to not wake Pearl up now and simply laid her on the changing table.

Pearl snored softly as she was changed.

Amethyst finished changing Pearl into a clean diaper. "Wake up, Pearl."

Pearl opened her eyes and smiled seeing Amethyst.
"Amegesh!"

Amethyst hugged Pearl. "Have a good sleep?" she asked.

Pearl nodded.
"Uh huh!"

"Want some breakfast or something?" Amethyst said, wanting to see if Pearl would eat.

Pearl nodded happily.
"Baba pwease!"

Amethyst prepared a bottle and handed it to Pearl.

Pearl began to drink the bottle with a big smile.

"Seeing you do something like this is always a bit strange." Amethyst said with a small smile. "You used to hate food and drinks."

"Milk is nummy dough, I hate da old me..." Pearl frowned knowing she would be her soon enough.

"Hey, it's fine." Amethyst said. "You could still be like this from time to time."

"Nu uh, ol me hate did stuff..." Pearl began to cry.

Amethyst quickly hugged Pearl. "It's going to end alright." she said.

Pearl sniffled as she hugged Amethyst.

"I'm really sorry I found that thing to make your gem better..." Amethyst said.

Pearl sobbed.
"It otay, I no wanna go bye bye eida."

Amethyst held her closer. "I'm so sorry..." she said tearing up slightly. "I made everything worse again..."

Pearl smiled.
"No, it otay Amegesh. I no hate you, I neber hate you. Now how Wong did Pewadot say my gem fix?"

"Probably tomorrow or the next day." Amethyst said.

Pearl nodded.
"What until den?"

"Whatever you want to do, Pearl." Amethyst said smiling.

"Can you gemme some icee cream?" Pearl asked cutely.

Amethyst smiled. "We have some in the fridge." she said as she got some out.

Pearl smiled wide.
"Wha fwavor?"

"Chocolate." Amethyst said as she filled a bowl.

Pearl smiled and opened her mouth wide.

Amethyst grinned and put a spoonful into Pearl's mouth.

Pearl ate the ice cream happily.
"Yummy!"

Amethyst smiled and continued feeding Pearl.

Pearl smiled, despite making a mess as she kept eating.

Amethyst finished and got a rag.

Pearl got wiped up and giggled.
"Tank ou!"

"It was no problem, Pearl." Amethyst said as she put the bowl away.

Pearl smiled.
"Pway now?"

"Of course." Amethyst said as she set Pearl infront of some toys.

Pearl smiled and began to play with some blocks and built a tall tower.
"Smashy!" She yelled at Amethyst.

Amethyst grinned and once again became a monster to smash the tower.

Pearl clapped happily.
"Yay! Amegesh so fun!"

Amethyst smiled at that, but soon frowned slightly. When Pearl changed back, she wasn't going to be like this. All these compliments would be meaningless.

Pearl frowned.
"Wha wrong Amegesh?"

"Oh, it's nothing." Amethyst said putting on a smile.

Pearl knew something was wrong.
"Amegesh, you don wike de odda me huh?"

"No, I like both equally." Amethyst said quickly.

"Tell da twuth!" Pearl shouted.

"O-okay, I like this you better." Amethyst admitted.

Pearl sighed.
"I sowwy I such a stick in mud..."

"It's not your fault, that's just how you are." Amethyst said.

Pearl cried.
"But I no wanna be tha way!"

"I'm sorry, the solvents already working by now..." Amethyst said.

Pearl whimpered.
"So you gonna hate me agin..."

"I won't ever hate you." Amethyst said.

"Weally?" Pearl asked with a smile.

"Of course." Amethyst said as she hugged Pearl.

Pearl hugged back happily.

Amethyst said nothing as she released the hug. "Want to go back to playing?"

Pearl nodded.

Amethyst smiled and began playing again.

Pearl joined her as she laughed happily.

Amethyst grinned. Soon, two days came to pass.

Pearl was unfortunately out of diapers and her dress.
"I don't care what happens to this furniture and toys, I just want them out of my sight!" She shouted back in her normal voice and clothes.

Amethyst sighed. "Fine, whatever." she said as she took them to her room and threw them in a junk pile. "You know, I liked you much better the way you were before." she said. "At least I have the memories...and all the photos."

"What was that?!" Pearl asked sounding annoyed.

"Oh yeah, I took a bunch of photos and videos." Amethyst said.

Pearl was shocked.
"You better delete every last one!"

"I would, but then I wouldn't have the memories." Amethyst said as she sat down.

Pearl growled.
"Memories of what? Me acting like a fool?"

"Memories of you acting like a baby." Amethyst said.

"Like I said a fool! Honestly, I can't believe I actually ate...ugh...food!" Pearl shuddered.

Amethyst grinned. "It was absolutely hilarious!" she said.

Pearl blushed.
"Shut up! Honestly I don't see why you liked me that way!"

"It was because that Pearl wasn't stuck up and didn't worry about every little detail." Amethyst said.

Pearl turned to Amethyst and frowned.
"It's thanks to me that our plans are flawless! And apparently you don't care about that do you?!" She said walking towards Amethyst before accidentally tripping on a bunny plushie and landing on her face.

Amethyst widened her eyes as she checked on Pearl. "Are you alright?!"

Pearl looked up, her gem wasn't damaged, but she was dazed.
"Head few funny...Amegesh?" She turned to face Amethyst with a wide smile.

"Baby Pearl?" Amethyst asked. "You're back?'

Pearl nodded with a big smile.
"Not fow wong dough, tempowawy." She pointed to her gem.

"Oh, I see..." Amethyst said grinning. "Well, what do you want to do when you're like this? Until you turn back?"

Pearl smiled wide.
"Pway!" She hugged Amethyst happily.

Amethyst hugged her back. "I'm glad you're back, and I hope to see you around more often!" she said happily as she got the toys back out.
