  2. Here is assumed the files are unzipped in "c:\temp",
  3. replace with the actual directory you use.
  4.  
  5. The directory should have 2 subdirectory's: ROOT_FILES and usb_drv
  6.  
  7. and at least these files:
  8.  
  9. A320_PD27_ILI9325_RLS.dl
  10. ccpmp_cfg_A320_LCM_FAIR_ILI9331_320_240_noFileWareUpdate.dl
  11. flashutil.exe
  12. a320-1.1.HXF
  13. a320-1.20.pov.HXF
  14. a320-1.22.HXF

  20. INSTALLING THE USB DRIVER IN WINDOWS:
  21.  
  22. 1. Put the Dingoo a-320 is USB mode by pressing and holding the B button while inserting a pin or similar into the reset hole
  23. 2. Conect the USB cable between your computer and Dingoo
  24. 3. Now you need to install the windows USB driver for JZ4740 USB Boot device. Click "Locate and install driver software"
  25. 4. Click on "I don't have the disc. Show me other options"
  26. 5. Click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
  27. 6. Browse to c:\temp\usb_drv and choose "Next".
  28. 7. Accept the security warning by clicking "Install this driver software anyway"
  29. 8. The driver should now install and a final confirmation screen should pop up informing you that the driver was successfully installed as "Chinachip USB loader". Click "Close"

  31. BEFORE FLASHING
  32.  
  33. 1. Remove memory card if inserted. ( precaution )
  34. 2. Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
  35. 3. Backup all files you want to keep from the internal drive as this will be erased.
  36. 4. Determine your LCD controller:
  37.  
  38. Enter the A320 "system setup", choose the "about" section (first line) and press the following key combination: up-right-down-up-right-down.
  39. A hidden info screen will be shown. There you have a entry called "LCD MODULE" wich will have a name with 9325 or 9331 at the end. Write this number down.

  42. FLASHING PROCESS:
  43.  
  44. 1. Run "flashutil.exe" in c:\temp\ as administrator by right clicking the file
  45. and choose "Run as administrator".
  46.  
  47. 2. Click the "Select" button in the "system DL Config" field and choose the correct dl for your dingo:
  48.  
  49. for a 9325 LCD -> "A320_PD27_ILI9325_RLS.dl" in c:\temp\.
  50. for a 9331 LCD -> "ccpmp_cfg_A320_LCM_FAIR_ILI9331_320_240_noFileWareUpdate.dl" in c:\temp\.

  52. 3. Click the "Select" button in the "firmware" field and choose the hxf you want to use
  53.  
  54. a320-1.22.HXF is the 1.22 latest Official firmware
  55. a320-1.20.pov.HXF is the hacked 1.20 firmware by POV
  56. a320-1.1.HXF is the 1.1 Official firmware
  57.

  59. 4.the other "boot ANi" and "Shutdown ani" fields do not need to be filled in. Click the "Burning system" button to start the flashing process.

  61. 5. 3 text lines should appear and a "Firmware upgrade" screen should show on your Dingoo. This process could take a couple of minutes. Wait.
  62.  
  63. 6. A fourth text line in the Recovery Tool should appear, confirming that the flashing process is complete. Now exit the program.

  65. 7. Unplug the USB cable.
  66.  
  67. 8. Connect the USB cable again.
  68.  
  69. 9. Reset the Dingoo (with the usb cable plugged in) by inserting a pin or similar into the reset hole. The dingoo will now reset and reboot. It will not start up as usual because of the missing system files.

  71. 10. After a couple of seconds the Dingoo comes up as a physical drive. Open the internal drive.
  72.  
  73. 11. Copy the "system" directory found in the 'c:\temp\ROOT_FILES' directory into the
  74. root directory ( the same location as GAME, PICURE, RECORD etc ) of the internal drive.
  75.  
  76. 12. Copy all the files from 'c:\temp\ROOT_FILES\GAME' to the "GAME" directory
  77. of the internal drive. This are the default emulators and some of the default apps.

  79. 13. Reset the Dingoo again by inserting a pin or similar into the reset hole
  80.  
  81. 14. You are done. The Dingoo should boot up as normal.
