FoE RPG G0-2 - #005 Words

[21:17]<LuckyLeaf>	Group 0-II: *Freedom's Price* - Session #005 starts now

[21:25]<LuckyLeaf>	Days pass and the new free ponies recover, with the help of Chroma and Full_Physical. Many, having lost before the hope of escaping their fate, decide to just settle in and start a new life. Others still seek to know where they are and how to get back. They show interest on the boat, and even a small number of ponies who formerly worked for the Salvage Yard want to join them.
[21:25]<LuckyLeaf>	During the week, Ignis picks up an unusual change in the radio communications.
[21:34]<LuckyLeaf>	The Silver Anchor are the first ones to show knowledge of the attack. Though there was no sign of the ship and bodies, the bullet marks and blood stains that marked the battle scarred port were enough to get the gist of it.
[21:37]<LuckyLeaf>	Lots of talon pointing ensue, complaining about the insufficient detachment that guarded the port. Rumors come from the captain having been fooled and he is considered fired. While the discussions start blaming Mudponies, it comes up that the attack was actually work of the Sand Raiders.
[21:40]<LuckyLeaf>	The slaver camps are informed and are no happier about it. They demand reparations from the Silver Anchor. The Quarry turns to Overgrowth's farm inquiring about buying their slaves and negotiations start along those lines, but don't reach any decision just yet.
[21:43]<LuckyLeaf>	Eventually the encripted medical radio shows signs of chage as Overgrowth himself reprimands the one on the other side, demanding to know what changes were made and why the Sand Raiders had been given guns. The ghoul on the other side shows ignorance. Overgrowth then demands that the ghoul do something about their aggressiveness.
[21:45]<LuckyLeaf>	Overgrowth politely calls the Railway radio inquiring about recent contracts, their operator turns to a higher official which declares secrecy is part of their business and they can't tell him anything.
[21:46]<LuckyLeaf>	The communications end there
[21:46]<LuckyLeaf>	Ignis also notices
[21:48]<LuckyLeaf>	The terminals in the robot controls have a highlighted terminal
[21:48]?	Ignis turns over to check the bot terminal...

[22:03]<LuckyLeaf>	The terminal halts for a good minute as screens after screens of code run for miliseconds before Ignis is given something that looks more or less like an opening to hack
[22:06]?	Ignis notices that most of things seem to be...experimental formatting? He never quite seen stuff like that, plus, it was on a screwed griphon language... the dragon holds his intent to crack it and starts to study that thing
[22:11]<LuckyLeaf>	A new message pops up
[22:11]?	Ignis opens it

[22:16]?	Ignis cringes his teeth...he had some bad feeling about it. Not much he could do now...the dragon merely secures the terminal with a password of his own and logs off altogether.
[22:16]?	Sotho meanwhile is happily playing with his daughter
[22:17]?	Firefly continues to work in the scrapyard, helping out where she can and keeping an out for anything dangerous living inside of it.
[22:18]?	Royal_Lace is also playing with sotho and Pepermint Phenix
[22:18]?	Ignis just writes down the message as he could remember it...maybe it would be worthwhile asking Lace to translate it.
[22:20]?	Ignis wraps up everything and notes the whole event in paper, then goes off to see the mare. He looks at the family trio from afar while they enjoy themselves...meh.
[22:22]?	Sotho glances up and sees Ignis. "Hello there Ignis."
[22:22]?	Royal_Lace waves
[22:23]?	Ignis waves back to the zebra. "Afternoon, Sotho." He grins a bit and looks at the foal. "She's growing so fast..." The dragon remarks.
[22:24]?	Sotho chuckles lightly. "She is indeed, She'll be talking soon no doubt."
[22:25]<LuckyLeaf>	Firefly sees nothing unusual, but she can help with the maintenace of tools
[22:25]?	Firefly will do so! Something is always breaking...
[22:25]?	Royal_Lace smiles, "and hopefully the magical flare ups will pass soon as well"
[22:26]?	Ignis nods. "It looks like..." He glances over to Lace... "Would you mind if I borrow your wife for some moments? There were some...developments she could shed a light on."
[22:27]?	Sotho nods. "Only for a moment I suppose."
[22:27]<LuckyLeaf>	Peppermint_Phoenix babbles and smiles at Royal_Lace
[22:28]?	Ignis hmmms. "Come on, I am sure you can handle yourself with the kid for at least half an hour..." The dragon says nonchalantly.
[22:29]?	Sotho frowns lightly and sighs." It seems i always am left to handle her." He says as he picks up his daughter and smiles.
[22:30]?	Royal_Lace stands, "Im sure it wont be to hard, i had to make a trip into town anyway later today. I suppose I can talk while I prepare my saddlebags". she make kissy faces at pepperment and coos at her. "Sotho dear you can always indulge Firefly and let her try her hoof at foalsitting if you want to come with me, and im sure Ignis dosent mind if you are present for whatever he wants to talk about"
[22:30]?	Ignis snerks a bit. "What can I say? Maybe you got a thing with kids...kids and spirits and wives..."
[22:31]<LuckyLeaf>	"That's not true!" Knick Knack shouts from elsewhere
[22:32]?	Sotho chuckles lightly to knick knack. "To be honest I'd rather be around when i let firefly handle it. Firefly might be too quick for Knack." He says as he trots towards his other wife. "It's fine, you go, I need to work on a few things myself, cooking related."

[22:33]?	Royal_Lace is about to respond to Sotho when she hears knick nack, nodding to her huspand she calls out, "Sweetie im going to have a talk with Ignis before going into town, i should be back later tonight"
[22:34]?	Sotho nods lightly to her. "Please try to be safe." He smiles softly.
[22:35]?	Ignis nods and turns to Lace, presenting his notebook. "I got a distress signal for number six bot...looks like it had some minor structural damage, and when I tried to acess its software, it was the most screwed thing...like that language you got from that book....and...I got one message...this one here." he points to it.
[22:37]?	Royal_Lace tilts her head as she walks, "Oh dear, that sounds odd... wasnt that the missing robot from when we took the yard?". She levetates the notebook and reads over his notes.
[22:38]<Ignis>	"yeah..." The dragon says. "What does the message mean?"
[22:39]?	Swiss_Provolone brings in the slaver to the mansion, wearing the shackles that bound his former captives. "Pardon me everyone, but we need to have a... chat. I figured you have the best facilities here, but if you dont want him here that is fine I can always go elsewhere. This is your house after all."
[22:44]?	Royal_Lace looks away from the notebook for a bit to Swiss, "Oh dear, is there not another local? I dont mean to seem .... dismissive of your idea Swiss but this is our home and somehow I dont like the idea of you interigating him neary my child"
[22:45]<LuckyLeaf>	The slaver pony hates everything right now
[22:46]?	Swiss_Provolone nods, "Very well, I might be able to find a place on the Freedom Mound. If you need me I'll be there." he turns to the slaver "March. Don't try anything funny."
[22:47]?	Ignis doesn't pay much mind to it...he merely awaits Lace's answer
[22:51]<LuckyLeaf>	Swiss_Provolone  makes his way back to Freedom Mound and easily finds a suitable location
[22:51]?	Royal_Lace Turns to Ignis passing back his notepad, "Actually why dont you show him to the old security room with the coputer monitors and such, or maybe the smeltery?  I know your familure with the location. By the way this reads as: Viktor?! What to <Henker> do you think you're doing?"

ACTION shoves the slaver down, "Sit down and listen up, you are going to answer any and all questions I might have. Answer them truthfully, and I'll let you live. Refuse, and you can answer to the ponies who you enslaved. I'm sure they wouldn't mind taking out their frustrations on you." He glances to his Machete, "And count yourself lucky I only keep this as a reminder, otherwise I can assure you that you wouldn't be walking away fr
[22:53]?	Ignis thinks about it... "Imagined so..." The dragon says, stroking his chin a bit...he takes a while to think it over... "After that, number 6 went offline again...I imagine that other person knows Viktor, has expert computing skills and...knows griffinspeech..." He says. "It is a liability in either case, since he...or it... could bring our scrapyard operations not only to a halt, but under siege."
[22:54]<Ignis>	"Its either a griffin acquaintance of his or an AI, I could imagine...what was his book about?"
[22:55]<LuckyLeaf>	The slaver scowls but says nothing.
[22:55]?	Royal_Lace nods, "we know first hoof how devistating loosing control of such things can swing what should be a one sided conflict. Somehow I doubt an AI"
[22:55]<Ignis>	"So...? What was that book about? Could you get something from it, Lace?"
[22:56]?	Swiss_Provolone snorts, "I'll take that as a yes. Now, lets start nice and simple: where abouts were you coming from?"
[22:56]?	Royal_Lace blinks as she dons a set of worn saddle bags and starts packing. "Which book is this now Ignis that your asking about?"
[22:57]<Ignis>	"The one in griffinspeech you got from Viktor's remains." He answers
[23:00]<LuckyLeaf>	"Why, so you can burn it down?" The slaver grumbles
[23:01]?	Ignis , somewhere else, feels an urge to grin maniacally
[23:01]?	Swiss_Provolone leans forwards "Much as I'd love to, its too far away at the moment. I just want to know how far you brought these ponies."
[23:03]<LuckyLeaf>	"Equestria." The slaver says.
[23:03]?	Royal_Lace smiles, "Oh, Nemëischer Phönix Wissenschaftsakademie Handbuch", she says in griffin speach before laughing. "Its a good read, its a book of science"
[23:04]<Ignis>	"What exactly about science?"
[23:04]?	Swiss_Provolone straightens, "Good, now wasn't that simple? So, which company are you working for?"
[23:04]<Swiss_Provolone>	"Formerly working for, I should say."
[23:06]?	Royal_Lace wavs a hoof as she looks out a window at the position of the sun, "Mosty of electronics and such"
[23:07]<Ignis>	"Anything in particular there?"
[23:07]?	Royal_Lace shrugs. "Nothing that lept out at me besides things of intelecutal interest. now unless there is something ells very pressing I have a matter of payment due to an individual in town".
[23:08]<LuckyLeaf>	"Silver Anchor." He stares at Swiss Provolone in annoyance. "You know that. That's why you had an ambush ready."
[23:09]?	Ignis mulls it over for a few moments... "Oh...the rest I was supposed to tell you, the SA and their contractors are on to blame the raiders for the attack, and they contacted the railroad...." The dragon informs politely. "And...I could use your skills for a little task, if you would please."
[23:10]<Swiss_Provolone>	"Oh of course, just warming up." he says, cracking his forehooves "Now, where were these ponies going from the port?"
[23:10]?	Royal_Lace grins at this, "Have they now? Hummm that is interesting. and what do you need help with exactly?"
[23:11]<Ignis>	"The bots found an irradiated and locked container at the landfill...so..." He holds his fingers together. "I imaginated if you could take one of the workers' radsuits and open it, its bugging me out, verily so."
[23:13]?	Royal_Lace nods, "Sure, as long as it dosent take to long. lead the way? But I really must go after I have opened it. The person who I meating with isnt open all day long and I dont exactly know where she lives"
[23:14]<LuckyLeaf>	"I don't know, I just crew the boat." The slaver looks away.
[23:14]?	Ignis nods. "Sure, sure..." He leads Lace to one of the workers' locker and gives the mare one of the radsuits
[23:15]?	Royal_Lace follows quickly to the locker so she can attempt to open it.
[23:15]?	Swiss_Provolone stomps a hoof down "I don't think I believe you. Try again."
[23:16]?	Ignis gives the suit to the mare, and after she is dressed, he takes her to where he stored the container. "Its there...I'll keep out here while you open it...don't forget to take out the suit after you return with the contents."
[23:16]?	Royal_Lace nods and tries to open it
[23:17]<LuckyLeaf>	"What, you think they tell everything to us low ranks?" The slaver grumbles
[23:19]<LuckyLeaf>	The case opens, revealing half a dozen balefire eggs. Two of them are cracked and leaking radiation and another, also cracked, seems not to have any power anymore.
[23:20]<Swiss_Provolone>	"Yes, because I've dealt with plenty of low ranks before. They act like they're innocent, like they don't know anything. But they always lie, because they keep their ears open, they listen to the rumors. So either you're lying to me now, and you know something; or you're just pathetic."
[23:20]?	Swiss_Provolone stomps even harder "Now answer my question!" he shouts
[23:22]?	Royal_Lace eyes get big as she sets it down and trots slowly backwards and returns to Ignis, "Ummm... you may want to find someone who knows explosives, that thing is hot with live balefire eggs some of which are leaking, img going to go now. Good luck whti this... keep me up to date on this, also you should tell Tara about this".
[23:22]?	Royal_Lace takes off her suit and teleports away
[23:22]<LuckyLeaf>	"Okay, okay. You are right... being caught by a bunch of angry hobos really is pathetic." The slaver smirks.
[23:22]<Ignis>	"Tamara...?"
[23:23]?	Ignis decides to lock the door and leave the balefire eggs under lockdown...he takes the suit and puts it back there. "Well...I don't know what to do with those."
[23:26]?	Swiss_Provolone leans in close and mutters deeply "If you think I'm just an angry hobo, you have no idea kid. I've probably been around twice as long as you and trust me, I've done things. So. Try again."
[23:31]<LuckyLeaf>	"Oooh~, things you say. I'm so scared." The slaver grins.
[23:34]?	Swiss_Provolone pulls out his pistol and whips the handle on his face, "Look where you are kid, you're right in the Celestia damned center of bunch ponies who would much rather see you hang. I'm offering to let you live for information. Are really willing to give your life for your employers?"
[23:36]<LuckyLeaf>	"Alright, I'll tell you! Point the thing away from me!" The slaver says, cringing.
[23:36]?	Swiss_Provolone holsters the pistol, "Better. Now, who was buying the slaves?"
[23:39]<LuckyLeaf>	"The big dogs buy the strongest. The rock and the farm ones. The good looking and shabby go to Limestack's market."
[23:40]<Swiss_Provolone>	"Pretty large group you hauled in, just a lucky haul or they stepping up their operations?"
[23:43]<LuckyLeaf>	"It's normal, it's just that many don't make it often times." He shrugs.
[23:45]?	Swiss_Provolone growls, "Of course. What does your company do when it fails to deliever a shipment?"
[23:48]<LuckyLeaf>	"I don't know, really. I didn't deal with that." He leans back.
[23:50]?	Swiss_Provolone grunts, "Fine. When is the next Silver Anchor transport scheduled for?"
[23:56]<LuckyLeaf>	"They send a boat every three months or so."
[23:58]<Swiss_Provolone>	"Good. Now, where you going to back to Equestria empty hooved or where you going to bring something back?"

[00:19]<LuckyLeaf>	"It's cheap, easy money. I don't know what they do with them out there, I don't think the suckers even know what's up with them."
[00:22]?	Swiss_Provolone "I see. Who do you use to get supplies? Slaves, weapons, everything."
[00:32]<LuckyLeaf>	"There's a lady named Lock Heart who keeps a slave camp south of Horse Shoe Bay, but we got some cheaper from a raider-looking fella named Singed. Weapons we get from whatever gun runner we find. They change all the time, but Lock Heart knows. Sometimes we take some odd plants from a zebra named Vizian in the swamps." He pauses and seems to regret what he said, then just shrugs. "Whatever, their problem..."
