  1. >You're waiting for Twilight to return with your glass of water.
  2. >While you wait, you decide to have another look at the large map.
  3. >...Most of the locations seem to be called equine-versions of familiar places. Canterlot, Fillydelphia, Trottingham...
  4. >You hear the sound of liquid being poured into two glasses, then, hoofsteps.
  5. >Moments later, Twilight returns from the kitchen with two levitating glasses of water.
  6. >She returns to the table, and sets the glasses down.
  7. >"There you go, Anon."
  8. "Thank you."
  9. >You pick up the glass and take a second to inspect the water. It's crystal clear.
  10. >You drink about half the water in the glass, then put it back down.
  11. "Miss Twilight?"
  12. >"Yes?"
  13. "That thing you do. When you move things around. Is that telekinesis?"
  14. >"Ummm... no? Just regular unicorn magic."
  15. "Magic?"
  16. >"Hmhm, of course. Don't they have magic where you're from?"
  17. "...No. In fact, until today, I thought magic only existed in stories and legends."
  18. >Twilight raises an eyebrow.
  19. >"Really?"
  20. "Yes, really."
  21. >"Wow... I can't imagine how difficult it must be, not having magic to help you out..."
  22. "Well, I manage without it... Just about."
  23. >"What's it like, Anon? The land you come from?"
  24. "...It's different. Very different, from everything I've seen here."
  25. >"Different how?"
  26. "Ponies don't talk, for starters."
  27. >"...Seriously?"
  28. "Seriously. They don't have wings or horns, either. Pegasi and Unicorns are considered mythical creatures."
  29. >"...That's really something, Anon. Wherever you come from, it must be really far away from Equestria."
  30.
  31. >*Knock knock*
  32.
  33. >"Oh, somepony's at the door. Excuse me for a moment, Anon."
  34. >Twilight walks off towards the door. The knocking becomes louder and more rapid.
  35. >*KnockknockKNOCKKNOCK*
  36.
  37. >"TWILIGHT? ARE YOU THERE? HELLOOOOOOOO~"
  38.
  39. >"I'm almost there, Pinkie."
  40. >Twilight walks up to the door and opens it with, what you've learned, is unicorn magic.
  41. >Once opened, the doorway reveals the familiar Applejack, and a smiling, pink pony with blue eyes.
  42. >"Hi girls. Come on in."
  43. >*Whoosh*
  44. >The pink pony rushes past Twilight at an impossible speed, and appears before you.
  45. >"HI! You must be Anon! I'm Pinkie Pie!"
  46. "Uhh.. Nice to meet you, Miss-"
  47. >"Wow, I've never, never, ever seen anything like you before!"
  48. "Uhm-"
  49. >Pinkie somehow tugs at your shirt with her hoof.
  50. >"Oooohh, are these your clothes? They look really strange! Heeheehee! Do you wear these all the time?"
  51. "Well, not this particular set of clothes but-"
  52. >Pinkie is getting rather close... She's standing on her hind legs with her front hooves pressed against your upper torso.
  53. >Her face is also about an inch away from yours. Normally, having other people this close to you would make you feel uneasy but you feel fine at the moment, if a little surprised.
  54. >"Where do you come from anyway, Anon? Are there other creatures like you? Are-"
  55.
  56. >A purple aura surrounds Pinkie, and she floats back a couple of feet before being released.
  57. >"Hmhm, easy there, Pinkie."
  58. >"Right, right. Anyway, welcome to Ponyville, Anon!"
  59. "Hmhm, thank you."
  60. >Twilight and Applejack walk over to the table, joining you and Pinkie.
  61. >"Hey there, Anon!"
  62. "Miss Applejack."
  63. >"Did yah find out how tah get back home?"
  64. "Uhm, no, actually, I didn't..."
  65. >"Oh... that's too bad, Anon. Weren't any ah Twahlite's maps any help?"
  66. >"Well, unfortunately, they weren't, AJ. Somehow, Anon seems to have just... appeared, here. I don't think he simply... walked into Equestria."
  67. >"So, Yah think it were some crazy wild everfree magic, what brought him here?"
  68. >"Well, maybe, I'm not sure. Anon said there is no magic where he comes from..."
  69. >"So, if magic didn't bring Anon here, what did, Twilight? "
  70. >"...I don't know, Pinkie."
  71. >*Sigh*
  72.
  73. "Uhm...I don't wish to cause alarm, but... is it possible that I'm... Dreaming?"
  74. >"HUH?"
  75. "I know, that must sound very strange, to you all. Let me explain. You see, Equestria is... Just so incredibly different, from the world I live in, that it really is... dreamlike, by comparison... Sorry."
  76. >"Hmm."
  77. >Applejack steps closer to you, and raises her right foreleg.
  78. >You can guess what's coming, but for some reason you make no attempt to move your foot as Applejack's hoof quickly descends upon it.
  79. "Aagh!"
  80. >"That real enough? Hmhmhm."
  81. >That kind of hurt, but judging by Applejack's jolly expression, she was only playing around.
  82. "Ah ha ha... So, I'm not dreaming. Thank you for clarifying that, Miss Applejack."
  83. >Pinkie giggles quietly.
  84. >*Knock knock*
  85. >There's the door, again. You wonder what colour pony is behind it this time.
  86. >You hear a gentle, but clearly male voice from the other side of the door.
  87.
  88. >"Twilight? Can you get the door?"
  89. >Twilight opens the door with telekin- Uh, unicorn magic.
  90. >Behind the door, you don't see a p0ny, but a stack of books, being carried by a concealed but obviously short creature.
  91. >You can only make out two purple feet from your angle.
  92. >"Hey, Spike."
  93. >"Hey. I took that package to the post office, and I got those new books from the store, like you wanted."
  94. >"Good job. Just put them on the table, over there."
  95. >"Sure."
  96. >The unknown creature named Spike begins walking towards the table, still hidden by the tower of books he's carrying.
  97. >"Y'know, I saw Lyra on the way home and she said Applejack and "a really amazing creature" came here earlier. What's she talking about?"
  98. >"She must have been talking about Anon."
  99. >"Anon? What's an Anon?"
  100. >Spike lifts the books onto the table, then walks into view.
  101. >...!
  102. >Standing before you, is a dragon!
