  1. ASH's RULES
  2. - Use official rules as a base
  3.  
  4. STARTUP
  5. - After randomly selecting starter Pokemon, place the remaining starter Pokemon in the pink bag and shake it a few times to shuffle the chips.
  6.  
  7. MOVEMENT
  8. - Roll one dice like normal. From the beginning of the game move any direction you desire, but you can not change directions mid move.
  9. (Ex: if you roll a 6, you must move 6 spaces in any direction. You can not move 4 spaces forward and 2 spaces backwards.)
  10. - Crossroads - Move any direction at a crossroad except the direction you came from.
  11. - Cities - If you pass through a city during your turn, revive one Pokemon for each city you pass through. Do not claim the benefits of landing on the city unless you actually land on the city.
  12. - 20 Power Points - In the normal game, the player is teleported to Cinnabar Island at 20 power points. This rule is disabled. You must walk or use item cards to get to Cinnabar Island.

  14. CATCHING POKEMON
  15. - To catch a Pokemon, you must battle and defeat them. Remember to factor in weaknesses (see Combat - Super Effective). If you defeat the opposing Pokemon, you have caught it! Place it in your inventory face down (because it is 'fainted'). If you lose to the opposing Pokemon, your Pokemon faints and you must use another Pokemon to attempt to defeat it or attempt to run away. If all your Pokemon have fainted, see Combat - Black Out.
  16. - After defeating and catching a Pokemon, the new Pokemon comes into your hand 'fainted'. You must revive the new Pokemon by passing through or landing on a city (or with an item card).

  18. COMBAT
  19. - Super Effective - If one of the Pokemon has a weakness to the other, the advantaged Pokemon gets 2 points added to their attack.

  21. (Ex: Bulbasaur vs Charmander - Add attack points, roll points and item card points then add 2 to Charmander's total points)

  24. - Black Out - The moment all of your Pokemon have fainted, move to the nearest city and revive up to 3 Pokemon. The player does not get the benefits of landing on the city. If you are in the middle of two cities, go to the one you passed through last
