Ingredients:
2 bags (6 each) shortcakes
2 small cartons strawberries (we use Plant City strawberries!)
sugar
1 can whipped cream

Directions:
- Hull and de-stem strawberries
- Slice strawberries
- Add them to a bowl
- Add in sugar until the strawberries are lightly coverd
- Stir strawberries
- Keep adding sugar while stirring until the strawberries start to sweat
- Stop adding sugar, but keep stirring 3-5 minutes
- Strawberries should produce a nice medium viscosity syrup
- Refrigerate for 30-40 minutes
- Serve strawberry mixture over shortcake, topped with whipped cream
