  1. Hello doctor, I have a concern with my health. I have something that make me feel funny in my neck which I can feel the vein get deeper that make me feel rubbing my hand on my neck. It is really annoying me, it start to happens when I had my ankle ligaments reconstruction in two years ago. I came out of the operating theatre and when I moved to a different ward, the vein in my neck started to swell. I suspected that it could be the blood clot, I have told my doctor about it and I had neck scan but it show as normal. I also had blood test and MRI which the results came all clear. I find it strange that i still get the funny feeling in my neck which i can feel the vein get swollen when I go out for a run, play football, fix my car...etc. I have a picture to show you if you want to see what it is? 8:06p

  27. There is no negative 8:11p
  28. can you tell me why it have swollen what i might have? 8:11p
  29. The vein looks like your External Jugular, and is common in people with thin necks. Negative in medical parlance means "normal." Sorry for the confusion. 8:11p
  30. Does the other side look similar? 8:11p
  31. no 8:12p
  32. it only on the left vein 8:12p
  33. i never have that problem before 8:12p
  34. i think it cause by the heavy plaster when I had operation 8:12p
  35. Ok, well the vein looks pretty normal to me. It is also normal for veins to get bigger during activity because of the increased blood flow when you are exerting yourself. I definitely don't think it's a harmful or dangerous condition, and no treatment is needed. 8:13p
  36. well i never have problem before and it is very annoying me because it make me to keep rubbing 8:14p
  37. i dont like it 8:14p
  38. I see. Yes, veins do change over time. Unfortunately there is no good way to get rid of it. I wish I could help you more. 8:15p
  39. it shouldnt be too much blood flow to the vein when i'm exerting 8:15p
  40. All of your veins swell a little when you exert yourself. That is just the way veins work. 8:16p
  41. i'm seeing the specialist on 8th July and i'm hoping they could do something about it but i cant see much 8:17p
  42. from what you just said 8:17p
  43. I still think it would be a good idea to see them. They may have other suggestions as well. I am not a vascular surgeon, so they have some additional knowledge about veins as well. 8:18p
  44. Oh ok thank you for letting me to know, i will ask them about what you said 8:19p
  45. Absolutely! Is there anything else I can help you with? 8:19p
  46. Yes with one other thing 8:20p
  47. Of course. What is it? 8:20p
  48. My scortal got swollen when Im experting myself 8:20p
  49. i need you to take a look to see what it might be 8:20p
  50. OK. if you send me a picture, I will look. 8:21p

  67. it start to get swell when I go out for a run, play football, fix my car...etc 8:21p
  68. Yeah. I'm thinking varicocele as well. That would swell with exertion. Have you seen a urologist? 8:22p
  69. do you know what i might have? 8:22p
  70. Do you think it varicocele? 8:22p
  71. would I need to have operation? 8:22p
  72. Most likely. I suggest seeing a urologist. They will probably want to get an ultrasound. Most varicocoels do not need surgery. 8:22p
  73. Well I had ultrasound but it came up to normal 8:23p
  74. it didn't show anything 8:23p
  75. i think it have missed out 8:23p
  76. Ah. How long ago? 8:23p
  77. i'm going to have MRI scan 8:23p
  78. last year i think? 8:23p
  79. will MRI pick up varicocoel? 8:23p
  80. You are right. Ultrasounds will not always see it, especially if it wasn't enlarged at the time. MRI is a good test for that. 8:24p
  81. Oh ok i'm going to have it on 1st July and I will inform them to let them to know that i might have varicocele and they will need to check on that 8:25p
  82. before send the results to the doctor 8:25p
  83. Good. Hopefully they will be able to see it. 8:25p
  84. Me too, i want to get it sort it out as I have that problem for 2 years now 8:26p
  85. is varicocele related to ED? 8:26p
  86. because i cant be able to get morning erection 8:26p
  87. and when i'm with my partner 8:26p
  88. No. ED has many causes, but varicocoele is not one of them. 8:26p
  89. well thats strange because i don't get morning erections as I used to be 8:27p
  90. Do you smoke? And do you exercise regularly? 8:27p
  91. I have a cold reaction to my glans when I have the bowel movement 8:27p
  92. no i dont smoke and yes i'm doing exercise regulary 8:28p
  93. i have nearly lost 1st 8:28p
  94. i'm on 14st 10lb at the moment 8:28p
  95. OK. Good. Those are the lifestyle changes that are most important to ED. ED tends to be either a general health (cardiovascular) or psychological issue. Congratulations on the weight loss! That's fantastic! 8:29p
  96. yeah it is, i'm trying to lose the weight to get the 6 pack which it good for my penis, but unfortunately it will not help as i dont get enough blood flow to the penis 8:30p
  97. I have a cold reaction to my glans when I have the bowel movement 8:30p
  98. do i have a poor circulation? 8:31p
  99. The weight loss may be partially responsible though. It takes your body time to adjust to the lower fat content. The erection issues may go away in time. And most likely not on the poor circulation. Having your glans change temperature at times is totally normal. 8:31p
  100. is it possible to cure the problem to treat ED by vigra pills or if it would help to cure varicocele to treat my ED problem? 8:32p
  101. Yes, your ED can be treated with Viagra or other drugs like that. The varicocele really doesn't have anything to do with ED, but it can't hurt to have a urologist look at it. 8:32p
  102. i think it is related to varicocele because the doctor i spoken to they said it is related to my ED problem 8:33p
  103. because it got my scrotal swollen that i difficulty to get the errection 8:33p
  104. Ok. Well a urologist is the best person to ask about that. I definitely think you should see one. 8:33p
  105. i am going to, i need to see him but i need to get the results first 8:34p
  106. That you do. You are doing everything the way you should. 8:34p
  107. I am being told that we are almost out of time. Is there anything else I can help with? 8:35p
  108. I hope they will be able to diagnosis the problem i have and hopefully they will be able to cure 8:35p
  109. No not reall 8:35p
  110. *really 8:35p
  111. I hope so too! 8:35p
  112. Have a great day! 8:35p
  113. thats all for today, thanks for your help!
