  1. Magnus wasn't going to have a good day. He knew this because he could hear Spark Digital up early, which was never a herald of anything good. Wiggling out of where he was resting at the moment, he turned his singular, overbearing eye towards the electric flysquirrel and judged sternly its actions, finding them wanting immediately. Consulting his internal logic circuits to find the most sensible course of action, he also noticed that Spark was not only playing with the control panel for the vat, but the frillish was missing. Phased out, perhaps? It's unfortunate that it would remember it could do so, but perhaps that was inevitable.

  3. "Duuuuuuude it's a vat!" Spark Digital was always a master of the obvious, bits of electricity sparking here and then as he used his windy powers to flick various switches on and off. Magnus, if he had skin, would have felt the cool breeze. But he didn't, and took in this fact in a way that only he really understood.

  5. "SPARK DIGITAL, YOU NEED TO STOP PLAYING WITH THAT AT ONCE. ONLY BAD THINGS COULD COME OF IT." Unfortunately, Magnus was far too late at that point, as Spark Digital had managed to accidentally get his DNA fingerprint by the machine. The tiniest speck of life soon arose in the vat, an Emolga embryo, which eventually grew into an egg. Magnus sat there, stunned at the success of the project and simultaneously horrified at the prospect of Spark Digital clones. Would they also retain a similar implant to the original? Eventually, after staring at it in silence for about a minute, the egg began to crack and the fluid poured in. It was a miracle the baby Emolga didn't die right then, but it instead emerged, the only thing seemingly seperating it from the original being a lack of a paper hat. The two squirrels exchanged the secret dude signals.

  7. "OKAY, YES, THAT IS VERY NICE, BUT IT NEEDS TO STOP NOW." Keeping the lab clean with one Spark was bad enough, but Th- wait, three? Oh no. The embryo was not just one - or rather, it wasn't behaving as one. The stem cells that made up the initial unit of life had forgotten they were not supposed to fuck off on their own and become separate entities, but Spark being Spark, his nascent cells had probably been distracted and scattered every which way, giving rise to a horde of in-progress eggs, one already hatched.

  9. "dude we could have the biggest party ever, let's clone bill and ted too" Spark chirped happily as he surveyed his work. Magnus fled the room immediately - he was going to need to call in the specialist for this one, seeing as Electric/Flying with Volt Absorb kind of fucked his shit up fam.

  13. About two hours later, Magnus had a bunch of rocks and food scraps to clean up alongside the extra Emolga body fluids, but at least the issue was dealt with. Spark Digital was none the wiser and was pretty sure the whole thing was just a bad trip. Or maybe life itself is a trip. Who knows what sort of thoughts go through Spark's mind? Maybe not even Magnus is truly sure. He would need to keep a close eye on that squirrel next time.
