  1. Just below the sewers sits the town they were built over. Dilapidated buildings and crumbling streets sprawl out over a colossal nigh-bottomless ravine like a massive web, precariously connected to the walls on either side by large iron tightly spun steel thread. It's merely a guise however, for the true city dangles from the bottom of the web, massive interconnected buildings all covered in ivy and other wall-growing plants, blue lights lining the strange narrow street-bridges that connect the different places. This is the home of the spiders.
  2. All spiders are born assassins, and as a collective they care about neither side of the dragon/tiger conflict. They simply work for whoever pays them the most. Typically sporting high class clothing like suits and human business attire, they wear sunglasses to conceal their eyes as well as the convenience of dimming sunlight when they venture to the surface, though some simply choose to squint instead. They all have bizarre compound pupils, three slitted black lines that sit inside of their irises, the center one slightly longer than the two on either side, allowing them superhuman peripheral vision. Additionally their bodies are entirely covered in microscopic white hairs, which are sensitive enough to detect extremely subtle changes in the atmosphere, to the point where they almost have perfect 360 degrees "vision" within about a three meter radius around them, and secret a slightly oily substance that allows them to cling to things or crawl up surfaces they otherwise couldn't. They all have four retractable powerful chiton covered limbs which extend from their back, just above the tailbone and below the shoulderblades, near the center of their back. These limbs are even more flexible and sensitive than their normal ones, each of which has a spinneret at the tip capable of producing a very fine silk, with the durability of steel.
  3. While they're capable of being very long lived, most tend to die somewhat young due to their universal occupation. The older a spider is, the more dangerous they most likely are. Every spider is entirely selfish, acting only in their own best interests. The main reason the city exists is because it's the most convenient option for each individual member, and while sometimes spiders will work together on contracts, they tend to prefer solo jobs. They meet their contacts in either the dilapidated buildings sitting atop their strange web or in the sewers above that, and it's also their main avenue of going into the city and capturing prey to bring back as food. As their missions overlap with their own personal dining habits, many tend to be a little /too/ enthusiastic about work.
