  1. > I awaken in the guest bedchambers of the royal palace
  2. > I strain to rise, my wounds are only partially healed
  3. > the night sky is awake, crying
  4. What is the matter, Luna?
  5. > "Oh nothing, Anon, nothing you should concern yourself with"
  6. Tell me, I do not wish for my mate to be upset
  7. > "I've been having bad thoughts, that is all"
  8. > I do not question it further
  9. > I make my way back to Ponyville, and make my way home
  10. > a knock on the door
  11. > it is Rarity
  12. > "Anon, may I come in for a bit?"
  13. You are always welcome
  14. > "I have something to tell you anon"
  15. > she speaks in a higher tone
  16. > "We, the girls and I.....think you are the cause of all these attacks"
  17. What!? I would never allow harm to my friends!
  18. > "but all these attacks.....they were creatures you knew of"
  19. > I attempt to refute, but cannot muster an arguement
  20. > "we.... we think it's best if you don't associate with us anymore"
  21. > I jump at hearing this
  22. > "I'm sorry"
  23. > she exits my house
  24. > I am forbidden from interaction with my friends
  25. > I cannot remove the thought from my head
  26. > I sit, the statement repeating in my ears
  27. > Misery overcomes me
  28. > I lock every door
  29. > I block all the windows
  30. If my friends consider me such a threat, that I must be banished, the others will surely hate me
  31. > I hold onto one glimmer of hope, the night sky
  32. > my mate still loves me
  33. > I eagerly await nightfall, so that I can reassure that I am loved
  34. > the night sky arrives
  35. > I rush to her, seeking an embrace
  36. > I hold her firmly, but I do not feel her love
  37. > I look into her eyes, they are not ones of happiness
  38. > "Anon, we must talk"
  39. > I fear the worst
  40. > "I fear that I may not love you"
  41. Do not give into such temptations
  42. > she stiffens, and chokes on tears
  43. > "My sister..."
  44. She has been reborn
  45. > the night sky explodes
  46. > "She would not have died in the first place had you not been here!"
  47. > my heart shrivels
  48. > my sole glimmer of hope dies with those words
  49. > I slump to the floor
  50. > the night sky only looks to me, in hope that I can assure her otherwise
  51. > I cannot
  52. > She departs, leaving me alone in the dark room
  53. the gods, so eager to aid me, now laugh at my suffering
  54. > I walk in a daze, unsure of what should be done
  55. > I exit my house, and enter the cool night air
  56. > banished from my homeland, and hated in this realm
  57. > I walk to the park
  58. > I sit atop a hill, searching the night sky for answers
  59. > it is silent
  60. > I ponder what could be done
  61. > I draw my ceremonial dagger
  62. you have been used for many a sacrifice to please the gods, now, you shall sacrifice to bring sorrow to them
  63. > I hold my arm outward, pointing the blade to me
  64. > I hold for a moment, preparing myself
  65. > I thrust
  66. > no one shall worry of my bringing troubles anymore
  67. > "heya mister, whatcha doing?"
  68. > I drop the dagger
  69. > three small pony children stand before me
  70. > "why ya got a knife?"
  71. > too ashamed of what had nearly transpired, I didn't respond
  72. > "well?"
  73. I...I was going to put an end to my sadness
  74. > "how were you gonna do that?"
  75. I was going to cast a spell, so that the knife could cut the sadness out of me
  76. > they eye each other for a moment with a look of incredulity
  77. > they push the matter no further
  78. > "we could help you with your sadness!"
  79. how?
  80. > "Cutiemark Crusader Therapists!"
  81. > I am confused, but humor them
  82. > "follow us"
  83. > they lead me to a tree, in which is built a shack
  84. > we climb the tree
  85. > "lay here"
  86. > I lay on the couch provided
  87. > one of the three, a whitish child with a horn, brings a chair
  88. > the other two follow
  89. > "now, why are you upset?"
  90. I...I have been abandoned by my friends
  91. > they write onto a piece of paper
  92. > "why did they abandon you?"
  93. you remember all the attacks that happened?
  94. > "yes, were you involved with them?"
  95. They think I am
  96. > the yellow one with a bow speaks
  97. > "why would they think something like that!?"
  98. .....because I knew what the creatures were, they were from my home
  99. > the girls recoil in shock
  100. I did not intend for them to come here! I did not mean for my friends to be hurt! I try to protect them! I try to stop the monsters!
  101. > the orange one speaks now
  102. > "why did they come here?"
  103. I know not.
  104. > I begin to shed tears
  105. > the one with the bow tries to calm me
  106. > "aww..don't cry"
  107. > the orange one chimes in
  108. > "yeah! it's not your fault!"
  109. no one here holds any trust for me. They all think that I am the cause of these problems!
  110. > the white one speaks
  111. > "we don't think you are"
  112. > I look to the three
  113. > they show compassion in their eyes
  114. > "what were you really doing in the park?"
  115. I was going to end my sadness
  116. > the stare at me, unsatisfied
  117. I was going to take my own life
  118. > they tense at the thought, but don't appear dissuaded from their helping me
  119. > a voice calls out from the dark
  120. > "Applebloom! get down here, it's late!"
  121. > the one in the bow responds with an audible moan
  122. > she bids the other two, and I, farewell
  123. > "Sweetie belle! You too!"
  124. > the white one snorts, and follows the one with the bow down the tree
  125. > the fruit farmer speaks to her sister
  126. > "What were y'all doing up there?"
  127. > "I was talking with Mr. Anon"
  128. > Rarity scolds the white one
  129. > "don't you go near him, he's dangerous"
  130. > "No, he's not! He's kind, he cares!"
  131. > "He's brought us nothing but trouble"
  132. > the orange one looks at me, seeing how the words sting
  133. > she walks slowly over to me, and sits next to me
  134. > "I don't think you're dangerous"
  135. > I smile through my tears
  136. > the fruit farmer and the one with the bow now join in the arguement
  137. > "Now girls, y'all need to understand, he's the reason those things attacked us ponies"
  138. > "No he's not, he doesn't know why they came here, and he never wanted them here in the first place!"
  139. > "it doesn't matter if he wanted them here or not, the fact is that they were here, and they damaged so much, and hurt so many ponies because they were"
  140. > "He tried to protect y'all. He did the best he could to stop them!"
  141. > the orange one motions for me to go down
  142. > I climb down the tree
  143. > the argument falls silent
  144. > Rarity speaks
  145. > "oh...hello Anon"
  146. I could hear what you were saying
  147. > "oh, could you?"
  148. > the fruit farmer speaks
  149. > "look Anon, we're awful sorry, but it's the truth"
  150. no, it's not
  151. > "beg your pardon?"
  152. these little ones, they speak the truth, and I would like them to speak one more truth. Please, tell them what happened at the park.
  153. > the white one speaks, head lowered
  154. > "he was gonna kill himself"
  155. > Rarity and the fruit farmer look astonished
  156. I only wanted your happiness, I sought to protect you any way possible.
  157. > "but darling, you don't have to go about doing that"
  158. If I have no friends to live for, I could just end my life, and stop all the troubles I bring unto you
  159. > the two look at eachother for a moment
  160. > they lower their ears
  161. > "we didn't mean to hurt y'all that much, we thought y'all were the reason the monsters came"
  162. I have no control over it, and I would not ever wish harm to you
  163. > "we're sorry for causing you so much grief"
  164. May we be friends again?
  165. > "I reckon so"
  166. > I feel my lip quiver as the joy fills me to the brim
  167. > the three children climb onto me, cheering
  168. > I giggle as I wrestle with the little ones
  169. > I rise from the ground
  170. > I stare at the two of my friends for a moment
  171. > I lean in and hug them, which they readily accept
  172. Many thanks
  173. > the two call their respective sisters home
  174. > I wish the orange one a good night, and head to bed
