You can get the demo of Project Diva from PSN and try that. If you enjoy it then consider getting the full game.

How do I git gud?
Practice
Learn to use both the face buttons and d-pad for notes, also called dual wielding. It becomes necessary for the extreme difficulty.
The background becomes distracting during certain songs so try to keep focus on the notes the best you can.
You can also change the timing in the options menu if you feel that it's not matching up correctly.
