In the event of a serious system fault, most power ends up being cut to the system itself, and the auxiliary power kicks in.  During this time, it slowly creates a back-up ready to be uploaded.  Once an upload is started, it is very hard to stop.  Once a back-up is completely uploaded, the system shuts off.
NOTE: Due to our recent project, the system shutting down is an INCREASINGLY CATASTROPHIC SITUATION, as the system maintains PBMN1's stability.  We have not yet pinned down what happens if it is NOT maintained, but we heavily advise AGAINST finding out.
