Sonic '06 Is A Good Game

Sonic '06 is one of the better Sonic installments and here's why. Both Shadow and Silver's stories were fantastic. They built off of each other, but you could understand them as a standalone. They were the ones who had to deal with Mephiles. Mephiles was, arguably, one of the best Sonic villains. He got the job done. Sonic's story was focused on Elise and Iblis. He had to contain Iblis by making Elise happy. Then the final story came around and lead to Sonic's demise. This shows that Sonic isn't invincible. He CAN die. If you can get passed the kissing scene, then you can admit it was a fantastic story. Not only was the story intense as hell, but the soundtrack was easily in the top 3 of the Sonic franchise, if not games as a whole. Aquatic Base Level 2 and Solaris Phase Two are just a couple of examples. Also, the levels were fun. They weren't flawless, but they had platforming, something even Generations lacked. Don't get me wrong, Generations was fantastic also. Another thing that was stunning about '06 were the beautifully animated CGI cutscenes, particularly the scene with Sonic and Elise in the Cherry Blossom forest. That's why Sonic '06 was great.
