  1. Hi all,
  2.
  3. A very bad move in my opinion. The rule was originally in place to ease fears of users stalking the network. The 72 hours was a worked our compromise to allow those "geeks" who run systems to be away for weekends and then come back.
  4.
  5. It also reassured those new or being persuaded to use Internet for Scouting for the first time that there was a mechanism to stop just sitting on channels servers.
  6.
  7. I'm full aware that I am probably in the minority of the team but in my years at SL having had experience of a number of "bad ones" I sincerely hope that its not a decision that bounces back and bits the Council in the arse.
  8.
  9. I am also appalled that its only now some 6 days after that the team are informed. That should have been done immediately and then by the UK CC and not the chairman.
  10.
  11. I am now looking forward to sitting on all ScoutLink channels (Channel rules permitting) - even the secret ones and eavesdropping. have a couple of spare computers available :)
  12.
  13. A sad day for ScoutLink I believe.
  14.
  15. Regards
  16.
  17. Roger
