L: Because there was a tomato throwing event during the day.
A large amount of tomatoes are thrown at each other in order to pray for good, fertile crops.
The ritual is a tradition here.

Just thinking about it makes me lose myself.

F: I found some left over tomatoes!
Now we can throw tomatoes at each other!

Don’t throw them all at once…

F: Ahaha! This is so fun!
We have so many tomatoes!

L: W-wait!

F:  I’m glad that I could make you happy Leon!
Here! Your beloved tomatoes!

I SAID WAIT.

F: Weh!?
Why are you mad Leon?

L: Listen Flannel.
You’re getting something wrong here.
Firstly, that isn’t what you do.
It’s not fair that you’re the only one throwing.
It’s not enjoyable for me, in fact it hurts.

L: Secondly, the throwing should be done in the daytime in large numbers, that’s what makes it fun.
