Team AERO: Chapter XV

You wake up on a cot. It's dark, but you can see thanks to your faunus vision.

Your weapon, empty magazine, and all eight of your spent shots are sitting in a pile on the opposite wall.

Regalia is sleeping in a chair at the foot of your cot, head resting against the far wall.

Further inspection reveals it to be the nurse's office. Again.

Now what?

[Back to bed.]
[Wake Regalia?]
[??]

You silently slip from the cot and reload the magazine. You eject the current one and replace it with the full one before filling the empty one. You put your weapon back down and slip the loaded magazine back into your satchel.

You then move to your teammate. She's sound asleep. You give her a tiny peck on the cheek before going back to sleep.

You can sense light in your room now.

[Wake up.]
[Sleep longer.]

You wake up. Something doesn't feel right. And there are.. Arms around your chest?

"Good morning~" Regalia whispers in your ear.

[??????????]

You try to wag your tail, but it seems to be between you and her, with only the end sticking out.

"Morning~"

She chuckles softly at your minor tail movements, "Sleep well?"

[Did you?]

"I did..  I had someone lovingly watching over me, didn't I?" You ask.

She chuckles, kissing your neck softly before letting her arms unwrap themselves from you.

The two of you get up and fix your clothes and hair before grabbing your stuff.

"Well, shall we?" Regalia asks you, opening the door.

[Breakfast.]
[Dorm.]
[Somewhere else?]

Today is Wednesday, you have class at 8 AM.

[6:43]

You decide to go shower first. You're still covered in yesterday's sweat and the dust from the arena. At least Grimm don't bleed.

You slip into your dorm and glance about. Oliver is out, probably training. Crystal is still sleeping. You grab new clothes and hop into the shower.

You get clean, dry and change before heading down to breakfast with Regalia. You're kind of hungry from skipping dinner to sleep.

[Eat all the food.]
[Eat most of the food.]
[Eat the normal food.]

You eat as much food as you can take, but make sure to leave some for the other students.

You sit down next to Regalia and start eating.

She chuckles, "Hungry?"

[Just nod, no time to speak.]
[Alternatively, words go here.]

"Well, a skipped meal and a hard fight makes me hungry." You say before digging back in.

She chuckles, "That's true."

The two of you enjoy your meal. You're about done when Regalia takes out a small box and sets it in front of you.

"Here. It just came in with my new thread."

["New thread?"]
["Thanks" Continue eating.]
[Just nod and eat.]
["What is it?" Open it.]

"Thank you!" You say before opening it.

Inside is a small piece of silk the same deep purple as Regalia's top. You take it out and hold it in your hands.

"Could you tie it, please?" You ask, holding the ribbon out to her and moving your tail onto the table.

She smiles, taking it gently out of your hand, "Sure thing."

She leans over the table as her slender fingers run through your tail to find a good spot. She quickly locates a good spot and ties the ribbon gently around your tail.

"How's that? Too tight?"

You shake your head, "It's good. Thank you."

"You're welcome, Aero." She smiles before leaning back.

You finish your breakfast and head back to your dorm to get ready for class. You're not running late, but you don't have much extra time, so you quickly grab your things and head to class, Crystal with you.

Oliver shows up just before lecture starts, and Professor Grant starts where he left off yesterday. Class ends as normal.

[Try to talk to him again?]
[Just go to your next class.]

You can't remember what it was you wanted to ask him, so you head to your next class. It passes and you go to lunch.

[Extra large lunch.]
[Normal lunch.]
[Light lunch.]
[Skip lunch.]

You grab a normal lunch and sit with your team as usual.

"Would you mind explaining what exactly went through your head yesterday?" Crystal says as she eyes you. She eats as she waits for your response.

[What do you mean?]
[No idea.]
[(Explain)]
[??]

"What do you mean?" You tilt your head a bit.

"You know exactly what I mean! Why did you say that to Professor DeFleur yesterday?! You're lucky she only punished you and not all of us."

Oh, that.

[??]

"I just thought it'd lighten the mood.. I'll make sure not to do it in the future."

"You better not." Crystal states flatly before going back to her food.

You feel a familiar hand on your head, giving you a soft pat. "At least you stood your ground against her punishment." Regalia smiles at you.

You head to your last class for the day and take your usual seat in your usual bench.

"As Aero so kindly demonstrated yesterday," DeFleur begins, "We will now begin live fights with actual Grimm. You've all shown your competencies, so put them to the test. You must participate in at least one fight per week. You may pick single, double, or team, and any number or species of Grimm native to the area."

[Take the day off.]

Pfft, you did your time.

You look to your team, "Any of you want to fight?"

They shake their heads, "Us and PINK were the only ones who fought yesterday. Let's wait until tomorrow to go." Crystal suggests.

[Sure.]
[Nah, let's go now.]
[Or we could go Friday.]

"Sure." You say.

Your team relaxes, watching the fights that take place that day.

Class ends and you start heading out.

Where to?

You start heading to Professor Marble's office.

"Where are you going, Aero?" Regalia calls out to you.

"Professor Marble's office. I want to see if Professor Grant is in. Maybe he knows how he's doing."

"We'll come with." Oliver offers.

You lead your team through Shade, arriving at Professor Marble's office.

[Knock.]
[Just go in.]
[Leave.]
[??]

You knock.

There's no response.

[Knock again.]
[Leave (where?).]

You knock again.

"Professor Marble isn't here."

You turn around. It's Professor Grant.

[??]

"We wanted to ask how Professor Marble is doing." You tell him.

"Well, I can't say they keep me in the loop, but I hear he's doing well, given his condition when he was rescued. I'm sure he'll be back to full form soon. Is there anything I can do for your kids?"

You can't really make out his facial features with his thick facial hair, but you think he's smiling.

[??]

"No, that would be all, thanks."

You head back to your dorm with your team and do your homework. It takes about an hour. You finish up and decide to propose some training.

"What kind?" Oliver asks.

[??]

"Well, I want to keep training controlling multiple bullets.." You tilt your head to Crystal with a hoping smile.

She sighs, "Yea, sure."

You all head out to the training field.

Olive and Regalia go off on their own again.

Crystal seems to be messing with her weapon, but eventually she sets up the targets for you. These bubbles seem to be some sort of weird green.

[Ask about them?]
[Just fire away!]
[??]

You look closer at the bubbles before asking Crystal, "What's up with the bubbles? Is that.. acid?"

She blinks in surprise then blushes slightly, "I.. I took your suggestion and started synthesizing new dust formulas in my spare time.. I don't know if it'll work, but this was the first stable mixture I was able to produce."

She looks at her phone quick before looking back up at you. "Go ahead and fire."

[??]

You fire your first shot, intentionally missing. You loop it around while firing a second shot, attempting to control both.

Both of them seem a bit slow to respond to your will, but they move slight amounts. It's a slight improvement over only controlling one, you suppose.

You manage to hit a bubble with each though. They pop, and a green liquid sprays onto the ground. A harsh hiss fills the air as smoke raises from the dirt.

"It works!" Crystal says.

There are still several bubbles.

You decide to train some more.

It goes well and you get better, but still aren't able to fully control both at the same time.

You're starting to get tired.

"Anything you want to try, Crystal?"

She shakes her head, "All I had was the acid dust, and it worked."

The two of you go over to where Oliver and Regalia are. They look tired, and are just sitting around chatting.

"Call it day?"

Everyone nods.

You...

[Go back and order food.]
[Hit up the cafeteria.]

You go to the cafeteria to eat.

Anything you wanna talk about with your team?

[??]

"So what do you guys think of my new bow?" You lift your tail up to show them.

"Looks great." Oliver says, hardly glancing at it.

Crystal raises an eyebrow at the color and material, "It looks nice." She says simply before returning to her meal.

You finish eating.

[Back to the dorm.]

You head back to your dorm and nothing of interest happens.
