DIGI-DECO

For this project I was really inspired by the font face of the art deco era. The bold stylised fonts really delivered an impactful design message, so I wanted to be able to capture that in my own parametric letter forms. The digital interface is a really interesting media for me to explore as it is something that is becoming more and more impactful in the contemporary society. I wanted to see if I can push forth my passion for the deco-styled letterform into something more digitalised and stylised for the modern interface. I readapted the calculator like display and aesthetic to communicate that digitalised interface and letterform. The letter are designed into chunks and lines and reconstuct itself through the assembly of various height and morphing of the letter forms.
