SVTFOE: You Really Got Me Now Part 21



	Star had sat in front of the cake Marco made for her, it looked delicious. After a few seconds everyone sang happy birthday to Star, well almost everyone Janna just sat and eyed Star as if she was trying to make her head explode. Star blew out her candles and everyone cheered, as per tradition in the Diaz household she has to take a bite out of the cake before cutting the first slice. However,  as she did also as per tradition a close friend or family member must gently push her face into the cake this year Marco got the honor. Everyone clapped and had a good laugh Star knew what was coming and still loved it, Marco got her a napkin to clean herself with but to her surprise the crowd started chanting ."Kiss, Kiss, Kiss" the crowd went all the while Janna banged her head on the table chanting "no, no, no" Star smiled and looked at Marco who without hesitation planted a kiss on her. Crowd went nuts, when he let go of her Marco did something surprising and licked a bunch of frosting off her lips; someone in the crowd let out a whistle others went "oooooh" Star blushed, but the frosting that was left hid the fact pretty well.

After everyone had a slice, Star opened her presents. It was what you might imagine, clothes, a new purse, a bag full of googly eyes she can stick to anything (you bet Star was gonna use those) and even a pair of boots; Janna just tossed an expired gift card at her head but Star thanked her anyway. Someone asked what Marco got her, Star pointed at her necklace which even in the dark and lit by porch lights still sparkled vibrantly.

"Holy shit, no wonder Janna  wants him so much, that's a real diamond" Oskar said nonchalantly. Janna weakly looked up and remembered that for her birthday Oskar took her out to dinner...at Jack in the Box, which she had to pay for. She let out a groan and slammed her head back on the table, hell this has to be what hell is everything around her is designed to torture her emotionally why did she agree to come? this isn't a birthday party its a borderline wedding for fucks sake.

Star saw Janna get up and go inside the house, with Oskar slowly shuffling after her. She's still surprised she didn't bail earlier with Oskar she was pretty mad at him for wanting to dance with her. Star touched her cheek the redness from Janna's slap has faded, but the memory remains, it hurt more that Janna basically called her a slut even though Star would have danced with anyone. The real kicker is that Star is a virgin, Marco is the first boy she's willingly kissed in a very long time much less done anything else that Janna might assume but Star gets it Janna is jealous. Star's thoughts then turned to Marco hopefully she's not coming off as a slut to him now, she's flirted with him before but the second he said I love you its like whatever lusty fantasies she's suppressed about him just bubbled to the surface; she can't control herself around him anymore it feels both liberating and embarrassing.

However, Star knows the fleeting moments of awkwardness will pass. Janna flirts in an overtly lewd way with Marco all the time, yet he never gives in to her. Star, on the other hand, does it a few times and she can already tell he's liking it, which reminds her she should probably do it some more.  In a way this also just proves to her more then ever that Marco is her soul mate, Marco could have had any girl he wanted in time and yet it's her he wants the most; as the internet might say she won the Marco game now she just needs her trophy. Star found Marco sitting in a corner of the yard with a slice of cake, he waved her over and Star went running to him. Many girls go most of their lives without their one true love by their side, but not Star and she'll never take him for granted again.

"Got room for one more stranger?" Star asked happily. Marco patted the empty space on the bench next to him "always" he replied. Star just smiled and instead sat on his lap, Marco did not protest just kissed her neck instead sending shivers down Stars spine.

"You know you don't HAVE to kiss me everytime I get near you," Star told him still recovering from the sensation.

Marco just gave her a suspicious look. "Ok fine I won't".

"Woah Woah I said you didn't have to not that I don't want you to, lets not carried away here" Star replied with a chuckle.

"My dads right we will never fully understand girls," Marco said using his fork to get a bite of cake. "Where's your slice by the way," he asked Star.

"Oh I didn't get any yet I just wanted to open presents and speed things up"

"Really?" but I thought these were your friends ok maybe not Janna right now but still why would you want the party to end?" Marco asked confused.

"Can't blame a girl for wanting some alone time with you" Star replied as she stroke Marco's chin.

This was Marco's chance, he can play this game too he may not very good at it since he's never been able to practice his seduction skills before. Hell, he hasn't even seen a girl naked beyond the internet but goddamn it if he's not gonna try now that he has the best girlfriend ever, he just had to act cool.

"Sure can't I'm a catch, earlier when I licked that frosting off you I was trying to give you a cute and loving moment that you will always remember. Except I fucked up I should have used my entire tongue and maybe I went too fast should have slowed it down and really let you savor the moment, but oh well not like I'll ever get the chance to do something like that again" said Marco concluding with a shrug.

Star looked at him wide eyed and her jaw on the floor. She underestimated him he was good.

"You do not want to play this game with me, Marco you will lose" she finally managed to say.

"Whatever do you mean Star? We ae just having a friendly conversation". Marco said taking another bite of cake.

Star just laughed and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Oh, you think your so clever huh? well I'm only a little bit turned on so jokes on you" she whispered into his ear.

"I'll take what I can get" he whispred back, and offered her some cake. Star happily took a bite from his fork, then she took the fork fed some to him both started to giggle, what a sight they must be but neither would have it any other way.

"MAYBE I SHOULD JUST CHANGE MY NAME TO MARCO WILL THAT FINALLY MAKE YOU HAPPY YOU CRAZY BITCH?!"

Marco, Star and almost everyone turned their heads, Oskar and Janna were fighting in the doorway to the house, looks like Oskar finally snapped he was screaming and only getting louder.

"Your making a scene" Janna sneered.

"OH OH IM MAKING A SCENE? EVER SINCE WE FUCKING GOT HERE ITS BOO-HOO MARCO IS THE BEST I LOVE HIM SO MUCH WELL FUCKING NEWS FLASH JANNA HE DOESNT LIKE YOU MEANWHILE IM DOING EVERYTHING YOU WANT I EVEN STOLE SOME OF HIS HOODIES FOR YOU"

"So I'm not crazy my hoodies DID get stolen" Marco said to Star.

"I'M TRYING TO BE A GOOD PERSON AND BE THERE FOR YOU SINCE I KNOCKED YOU UP BUT NOOO ITS ALL ABOUT MARCO. WELL ITS NOT MY FUCKING FAULT YOU GOT DRUNK AT THAT HALLOWEEN PARTY HE WAS AN UNDEAD MATADOR I WAS JACK FUCKING SKELLINGTON A BLIND DRUNK GRANDMA COULD TELL US APART"

"Ouch, but i'm glad Oskar is standing up to her" Marco said while watching intently.

"This might be a bad time but can you wear your matador costume again for me in the future? For...reasons" Star asked with a smile.

"I HOPE THE KID COMES OUT ASIAN OR SOMETHING BECAUSE EVEN IM STARTING TO THINK I DESERVE BETTER THEN THIS. IT WAS BAD ENOUGH THAT WHEN I DATED STAR ALL SHE WOULD TALK ABOUT IS MARCO, MARCO DID THIS MARCO SAID THAT MARCO KARATE CHOPPED A MONSTER AGAIN IT WAS AWESOME I STOLE ONE OF MARCOS HOODIES TRY IT ON FOR ME!"

"Ok seriously who HASN'T stolen my clothes at this point? Raise your hand!" Marco shouted to the crowd.

Only Alphonso and Ferg raised their hands.

"Are you shitting me?!" Marco said as he sat back down feeling violated, Star rubbed his shoulders to comfort him.

"I'M OUT OF HERE FUCK YOU, YOU CAN WALK HOME!" And with that Oskar took off, last thing anyone heard was the screech of his tires as he peeled out of the driveway.

 Janna was left alone in the doorway on the verge of tears. After a short while no one went to her until finally Star did, bringing Marco along with her. Marco thought this was a bad idea but if no one else was going to do something it had to be them.

"He's never yelled at me like that before...it was kinda hot" Janna said softly. Her response confused Star and Marco to say the least.

"He cares about you and the baby Janna I think you know that" Star replied to her. "He was the class slacker and now he's trying to do right by you"

"He's no Marco though" Janna said wiping away a tear. Marco took a step towards her and put his hand on her shoulder.

"Look you and me we don't work we never have and we never will. I know this is not what you want to hear but stay with me now...what you feel about me is what I felt with Jackie for the longest time, it HAS to work with her or else Im going to be alone forever that sort of thing".

Marco paused and looked at Star, who held his free hand.

"And i'm glad me and jackie didn't work out or else I might be missing out on being with the real girl of my dreams"

Star let out an audible "aww".

"Shit Diaz just set me on fire while im down, its what you might as well be doing" Janna said but without her usual ferocity.


"What I mean Janna is you need to let me go, you and I are not meant to be meanwhile a great guy just left feeling angry that you won't appreciate him sure he has his faults, but no one is perfect not even me"

Janna nodded her head. It hurt but she knew Marco was right it was time to move on; she hugged Marco and to Stars surprised even hugged her.

"I'm sorry for being such a jealous cunt around you" Janna said quietly to Star. "I hope you two make each other happy every day, I'm going to go now I gotta do some thinking.".

Ferg approached the three of them. "I'll drive you home Janna if you want, its getting late anyways".

Janna accepted his offer. "This was a great party Star it had everything from food to drama" Ferg said enthusiatically as he headed for the door with Janna.

Soon after everyone else started leaving too, one by one they said their goodby's to Star, some of the other guys even congratulated Marco for getting the hot blonde Marco wasn't sure what to say but thanks. Eventually it was just Marco, Star and Marco's parents again.

Mr. Diaz carried his wife over his shoulder who was asleep clearly drunk, guess she over did it with the wine earlier.

"Im gonna go to sleep, your mom has already beaten me to it as you can tell" Mr. Diaz chuckled as he spoke to Marco. "There aint no party like"

"A Diaz party" finished Marco and gave his dad a high five.

"Alright well goodnight kids don't uh...well try to keep it down" Mr. Diaz said awkwardly as he went up stairs. Marco facepalmed, and Star just giggled.

Marco and Star stood alone in the living room, first time they've really been alone since their talk in Stars bedroom.

"I meant what I said earlier, I used to be able to not even imagine a world without Jackie and this whole time what I should have been afraid of is a world without you..thats really the only thing I've learned throughout this, well that and I can conquer my fear of hights if your in danger" Marco said to Star as he took her hand. "Im a lucky, what that Kale guy called me..oh right peseant".


"Your no peseant, your my knight in shining armor and that makes me the luckiest princess across any dimension." As she spoke she reached behind her head and undid her pony tail and let her hair fall back down before jumping on Marco in a loving embrace, kissing him passionetely. "I don't blame Janna for wanting you...but I also don't mind reminding her your all mine" she stopped kissing Marco just long enough to say.

Marco carrased her head  and back as they kissed, he looked at the clock on the wall, it was just 11:30 at night. Marco let go of her but Star kept trying to kiss him. "Why did you let go?" she whipsered her eyes still closed.

"Its uhm still technically your birthday, and I did say I would try to make your birthday wish come true" Marco said nervously, he had no idea why he just said that but he said it and he's going to commit to it.

"Really?" Star replied also nervous. She didn't want Marco to see that she was also scared but excited if what Marco was suggesting what he was suggesting.

"I mean if you want I totally understand if-" Marco felt himself get more scared with each word.

"I mean sure but only if your sure" Star replied back also feeling like a nervous wreck, she was pretty sure she was babbling nonsense but then again so was Marco.

"Wait a minute...I still owe you a dance" marco said with a smile, now feeling less scared.

"Hey yeah well maybe techniclly I owe you one" Star said all giddy.

They held each others hands, and stood quetly in the living toom for a few minutes.

"I've never uhm actually  danced this sorta dance before" Marco said breaking the silence.

"Me neither, maybe we can learn together?" replied Star. The hearts on her cheek were glowing.

Marco nodded in agreement. "Together".

Together was about to take a whole new meaning to them. But neither would have it any other way.
