The ten pile problem computer program

Chester would like a software that can put the 10 pile card problem into action.  This was by Mel Stover.  So that it can be adjusted, so I could have 1000 cards in 10 columns and it will select on third time, the card that I need.

0   1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9

Even better don't use card no.s and just say 1A, 1B etc.

It has to be customisable, so that I can choose the number of cards I want in each of the 10 columns.
