  1. Tundra looked out at the glistening water from his place on the beach. He'd been to this part of Conton City plenty of times, either looking for food for Buu, or to do one of Yamcha's inane stone gathering missions. But he'd never really stopped to just take in the scenery. The water was always crystal-clear, glistening in the sunlight, making it easy to find any stray sea life that wandered too close to shore. A light breeze kept it from being too hot, and except for one thing it was a perfect experience. Speaking of that one thing, he was brought out of his musings by the chattering of his female companion.
  2.
  3. He'd been nodding his head, putting up the appearance of listening to her, while doing his best to block out the noise. She'd been talking nonstop since almost the moment they arrived at the beach. About herself, about her aspirations for the future, about what's been going on in her life recently. On and on. He wasn't even sure if she was taking time to breathe, or if she even needed to with the way she was going on. For the umpteenth time he regretted agreeing to this, pretending to be her boyfriend for a day. He'd seen her sitting by herself off among the bushes, day after day, watching the couples that would frequent the beach. It was curiosity that made him approach her, and when she begged him to be her boyfriend for a day it was curiosity, and a bit of boredom, that made him accept. Now, he just wondered if SKoT would let him go back in time and prevent himself from agreeing to this.

  5. Glancing over at the girl, he took a moment to look her over. She was pleasing enough to the eyes, for a human female anyway. On looks alone, she shouldn't have any trouble finding a boyfriend. No, it was probably when she opened her mouth and never shut it that drove off any potential mates. If she dialed it back some, she could be bearable. Well, for a human anyway.
  6.
  7. Finally, he spoke up, having had enough of her constant yammering. "Hyaco.." If she heard him, she didn't acknowledge it, continuing on. "Hyaco!" He tried again, a little louder, still to no avail. He wasn't about to yell and get the attention of the entire beach, so a different approach was called for. And besides, he was supposed to be her boyfriend, right? Reaching out, he grabbed her by the shoulders, jerking her around gently to face him.
  8.
  9. "Wha-?" Her response was cut off as he darted in, pressing his lips firmly against hers and silencing her except for a slight "Eep!" that escaped. 'Finally,' he thought, a hand sliding up to the back of her head, holding her in place. 'Some peace and quiet.' Tundra found himself enjoying the kiss a lot more than he thought he would; her lips were soft, and being this close the fragrance of her shampoo tickled his nose.
  10.
  11. After a minute or so he broke the kiss, leaving her blushing, mouth open. "Wha-?" Again he silenced her, this time with a finger pressed against her lips.
  12.
  13. "Shh. Let's enjoy the rest of our date quietly, and then I'll escort you home, and if you like we can talk some more." She nodded, and he smiled before turning back to the ocean, and as the sun started to set he felt her lean against his shoulder. He glanced at her again, and thought that maybe he wouldn't have to go back in time and stop himself after all.
