FREEDOM FOR PDFS EMAIL TEMPLATE

Dear Author Name,

I found the information you are providing here:
http://interesting.pdf.content.example.com/valuable/information/

to be very valuable and useful - unfortunately you are distributing this information via a service that

[x] forces me to login to download (A.)
[x] hides the information behind an flash applet (B.)

Explanation:

A.) Login is not acceptable for me, because I do not want to allow a third party to collect information about what I am iterested in and what not, what might be possible if I give my email address to the third party.

B.) Flash is an ancient technology that is not supported by many devices nowadays, also many people are not installing flash to their devices on purpose, because it has a long history of security flaws and generally reduces the performance of a device more than it would be neccessary to achieve the actual technical goal. Additionaly the service you selected for distribution of your valuable information unfortunately uses flash technology, where it is totally superabundant - it is not needed to view a PDF on a computer.

In summary it can be said, that the service you selected is hijacking your information and abusing it as a hostage - they will only offer the PDF, that you are generously giving away for free, to selected people that will obey their rules - something, you certainly have not been aware of and nothing any person should accept, that would like to live in a world where free information pushes human progress. Suppression of information for the sake of business success is a modell that will lead to censorship in the long-run.

I would very appreciate it, if you put your files on a free file hosting service that is not putting any obstacles between you, the author, and me, the reader - it also would be great if you just put it on a folder on your webserver. If you have any technical issues with this process, please contact me, it will be an honor for me to help you.

Thank you very much for your attention,
Your Name
