  1. [22:29] <Gamesmaster> It is 17:03 hours. 4th October, 3067. Attemping to repair the Claws mechs, the cadets were caught in a situation
  2. [22:29] <Gamesmaster> as the power seemingly drained from the facilities reactor. Investigating, Cadet Stephan stumbled across survivors
  3. [22:29] <Gamesmaster> from the clan raid, who put up stiff resistance. With other caders rushing to help, a firefight broke out.
  4. [22:29] <Gamesmaster> In that tense underground battle the facility survivors were dispatched or captured, but not before Cadet Bran was
  5. [22:29] <Gamesmaster> however injured by enemy rifle fire. Venturing deeper into the facility, the fusion reactor was located with a nasty
  6. [22:29] <Gamesmaster> surprise present. Blocks of demolition CEMTEX. Remus and Biorn, exchanging worried glances, moved in to deal with
  7. [22:29] <Gamesmaster> the situation as Stephan tended to the prisoners and Brans wounds.

  9. [22:32] <Gamesmaster> Stuck on the elevator, the majority of Claw Two are attempting to repair the broken machine by freeing the manual override
  10. [22:33] * Remus is at a loss of what to do.
  11. [22:34] * Biorn begins inspecting the device to see if what he can determine.
  12. [22:36] * Jacob_Dorn Having bandaged himself up from the head wound sustained in the battle topside, Dorn stokes up a cigarette.
  13. [22:42] <Biorn> Well... meinfretr. Who ever rigged this was in a hurry but knew what they were doing. If the keep alive pulse isn't maintained, the failsafe will detonate.
  14. [22:42] * ^Vane^ is checking up on the Stalking Spider's myomers.
  15. [22:43] * Remus looks confused as Bjorn talks, "What does that mean? More important, can you disarm it without blowing us all to oblivion?"
  16. [22:44] * Jacob_Dorn examines the damage of the Cobra from the outside
  17. [22:45] <Jacob_Dorn> That thing is fucked.....
  18. [22:45] <Biorn> Not as such... at least not with what I have currently have. The detonator is mechanical for both the timer and failsafe. Our best shot is to try and freeze the entire mechanism at once.

  29. [22:50] <Dierson_Pyre> since you no longer need that space wrench
  30. [22:50] * Dierson_Pyre picks up space wrench from the floor
  31. [22:50] * Biorn starts looking for coolant pipes trying to gage which are closet to the bomb.

  33. [22:50] <^Vane^> **3.1, is there no gas or something stored in a liquid state in the mechbay?**
  34. [22:51] * Jacob_Dorn stares at the Cobra almost with tears in his eyes and sniffs

  37. [22:52] * Remus suddenly looks illuminated

  39. [22:52] * Dierson_Pyre moves with purpose toward the mechanical maintenance hatch to the elevator control system
  40. [22:52] <Remus> What do they have for a fire supression system?
  41. [22:52] * Remus looks around for fire extinguishers and the like.
  42. [22:53] <Gamesmaster> *Diersons voice sounds distant over the radio, and is replaced by garbled static. It appears the depth of the rock and distance between the reactor room and elevator will make any long communication difficult*
  43. [22:53] <Biorn> * All points. Is anyone currently in the repair bay? *

  46. [22:55] <Dierson_Pyre> Radio appears to be affected by the rock...I am getting static from Bjorn

[22:57] <Gamesmaster> *Looking around for a fire extinguisher, Remus instead notices a long, blue tube snaking above his position, above the maintainance panel, marked with a large, warning sign. It appears to be in english. *DANGER: LIQUID NITROGEN. DANGER OF DEATH. Safety equipment must be warn at all times. Depower reactor and flow control mechanicms between opening panel for maintainance.

  55. [22:58] * Remus shuffles his foot, kicking Bjorn just hard enough to get his attention. With a grunt he points upward at the hose, "You wanted frozen."
  56. [22:59] * ^Vane^ joins Pyre.

  58. [22:59] <Biorn> Ask and ye shall receive. Step two: How to get to it where we want it.
  59. [23:00] * Dierson_Pyre tears hatch off

Looking around you quickly realise that its not the problem - instead, a large amount of debris from the battle above has been dragged into the rotating metal gears. *

  74. [23:08] <Gamesmaster> *Straining with all his might, Dierson jams in the wrench and attempts to free it. The metal is unbudging, despite all his efforts. Angrilly, he drops the wrench and attempts to free it barehanded. If it could, the debris would laugh at his attempts. It rattles slightly but refusing to budge, Dierson gives up*

Slowly, witha mighty groan, the gear turns slighty and the debris slowly and agonisingly drops out, finally freeing the mechanism. Dierson and Vane staggered as the sudden absence of anything to push against causing them to lose balance slightly. Diersons crowbar especially looks somewhat bent at the end*

  107. [23:31] <Biorn> * Pilots are operational, currently unsure regarding mechs. We are about the attempt to freeze the detonator on the bomb. *

  110. [23:34] <Biorn> ** For the third time, all points call in. Is anyone in the bloody repair bay? **
  111. [23:34] <Jacob_Dorn> Why do i get the feeling that if that "Bomb" detonates there will not be a moon left...
  112. [23:35] * Remus casts a glance over and says, "Reporting" with a heavily sarcastic tone.
  113. [23:35] * Dierson_Pyre looks at Dorn
  114. [23:35] <Dierson_Pyre> do you actually get that feeling or are you being a freebirth
  115. [23:35] <Jacob_Dorn> Both.
  116. [23:36] <^Vane^> I seriously doubt that. That would a massive and meaningless expenditure of resources for no gain.
  117. [23:36] <Dierson_Pyre> it is still relevant to check the detonation time if possible, to endanger personal on a task that is not crucial is a waste of clan resources

  119. [23:37] <Dierson_Pyre> the fuel dump exploding, that would leave...not much of this facility, I think the moon would protect those on the surface from any detonation below

  135. [23:41] * ^Vane^ also looks puzzingly at Dorn.

  138. [23:43] <Jacob_Dorn> We are not expendable, we are resources but the way most Dracs see things people like the fellows we have been fighting are.

  140. [23:43] <Biorn> Fine. Put a gun to the kamphundr's heads and ask politely if they know how to disarm this. If they don't play nice, pull the trigger and move to the next one. At least then all we've have lost is ammunition.

  155. [23:48] * Remus walks over to one of the bound prisoners and smacks in on the cheek a few times, "Time to wake up, Spheroid"
  156. [23:48] <^Bran^> Yeah Remus lets leave them to be frozen.
  157. [23:48] * ^Bran^ grins back at Remus
  158. [23:48] <Jacob_Dorn> That will be some what of a problem as half the Cobra is...... missing.
  159. [23:48] * Dierson_Pyre unsure if his comm message actually got through the static
  160. [23:49] <Gamesmaster> *The man is unresponding. He is still out cold. Remus rolls his eyes*
  161. [23:49] <Biorn> Whatever helps you two get off. Just do it quickly.
  162. [23:49] <Dierson_Pyre> that is not a concern now, your Cobra is on surface and not subject to destruction with the facility

  166. [23:50] <^Vane^> Are the mechs below in a state to move on their own? Dragging them to the elevator might take a while.
  167. [23:50] * Remus examines the other prisoners.

  170. [23:52] <Dierson_Pyre> They should be, Claw 2 should have been working to get them operational while we were destroying the Warhammer

  183. [23:59] * Remus drags the unconcious dracs into the core chamber.

  187. [00:01] <Biorn> Just be ready to shut the door.
  188. [00:02] <Dierson_Pyre> check the status on all mechs, we can repair some while others are piloted to the surface

  190. [00:02] * ^Vane^ get's busy checking mechs
  191. [00:03] * Remus slumps the bodies off and grins on the way back to the door, "Make sure you hit it squarely"
  192. [00:05] <Remus> Ready at the door.
  193. [00:05] * Jacob_Dorn checks over the mechs one by one to see if they are able to be mobile
  194. [00:06] <^Vane^> **Lead, looks like the only one that needs dragging is the Locust.**
  195. [00:06] <^Vane^> **Myomers are bust, can't fix it witout power.**
  196. [00:07] <Jacob_Dorn> Mech status repor. All mechs in repair bay are mobile except the Locust. the legs are still shreded as the legs have been cought mid repair as the power failed
  197. [00:08] <Dierson_Pyre> is there any repair trucks nearby? we can drag the Jenner IIC with the incubus to a vehicle that can then move it to the surface
  198. [00:09] <^Vane^> Alright, Dorn look for a truck.

  200. [00:09] * ^Vane^ jumps into the Incubus.
  201. [00:10] * Dierson_Pyre cringes at "okay" instead of "aff"
  202. [00:10] * Jacob_Dorn explores the area around the repair facility for a Salvage or Transport Rig
  203. [00:10] <Gamesmaster> *Stephan walks up to the door as he sees Remus leaving. The bodies of the men he has knocked unconcious can be seen through the aperture*
  204. [00:11] <Gamesmaster> "What are you doing with the freeborths?" he asks of REmus, annoyed
  205. [00:11] * Remus grins in earnest
  206. [00:11] <Remus> Disposing of them.
  207. [00:11] <^Bran^> good riddens too.
  208. [00:12] * ^Vane^ powers up the Incubus
  209. [00:12] * Remus looks thoughtfully at the man with the dangly eyes
  210. [00:12] <Remus> Think I should take a trophy this time?
  211. [00:12] <Gamesmaster> "They should be questioned first. Why are you putting them in the reactor room to dispose of them? That is the facilities power supply"
  212. [00:12] <Gamesmaster> Stephan states , annoyed
  213. [00:12] <Remus> me sighs.
  214. [00:12] * Remus sighs*
  215. [00:13] <Remus> I tried to wake them up.
  216. [00:13] <Remus> Unless you want to use a stimpack on them, they are not waking up before that bomb will go off.
  217. [00:14] <Remus> Orders were, no prisoners.
  218. [00:15] <Gamesmaster> "No prisoners maybe, but killing them whilst they are unconcious is the way freebirths act"
  219. [00:17] * Remus snorts.
  220. [00:17] <Remus> How do you suggest we take care of this problem?
  221. [00:17] <Gamesmaster> *Grabbing the prisoner who attacked him with the katana, Stephan pulls out a medical grade stimpatch. THe needles sink deep into the mans flesh, and after a few seconds, Stephan shakes him violently*
  222. [00:18] <Remus> They were bested in combat, I wouldn't think you would care about the honor of a few dead spheroids anyway.
  223. [00:18] <Gamesmaster> "His honour i care not for, my own matters more."
  224. [00:18] <Gamesmaster> he replies
  225. [00:19] * Remus bursts into laughter.
  226. [00:19] <Gamesmaster> *The mans eyes open, into a realisation of awakefulness. He begins whimpering at the siight of Stephan standing above him, shaking him, and weakly tries to throw him off. He begins to speak in garbled japanese, in a terrfied voice*
  227. [00:20] <^Bran^> Anyone speak gibberish?
  228. [00:20] * Jacob_Dorn continues to stumble around the Repair facility looking for some form of Transport big enough to carry a mech
  229. [00:20] * Remus says a few things in Russian and shrugs at Bran
  230. [00:21] <Remus> Does that work for you?
  231. [00:21] <^Bran^> Not the same type of gibberish.
  232. [00:22] * Remus smiles toothily.
  233. [00:22] <Jacob_Dorn> **Shamafru dishpray, you harv Dish on hard your famiry!**
  234. [00:24] <Gamesmaster> "These freebirths are indeed useless.. * Angrily, Stephan lets out with his foot, and kicks the man in the stomach. The prisoner folds again back into a crumpled form. Dragging him forwards, Stephan pushes his with his feet over the aperture
  235. [00:25] <Gamesmaster> "I will deal with the other" Stepping forward, he performs the same operation on the man whose eyes are dangling from their sockets. Awakened , the man claws at his face sow, the pain still excruicaiting. HE makes some what you think are plaintive attempts at communication. As stephan grabs him, he puts up a weak fight as he is also placed overthe aperture.
  236. [00:26] <Jacob_Dorn> **Fantabulous! we in all our pew pew and dakka dakka glory have mash everything up so bad that I do not think There are any transports around... **
  237. [00:26] <Remus> Now that we have wasted more time and supplies to come to a realization we already knew, are we going to get to work, or keep pulling our penises.
  238. [00:26] * ^Bran^ chuckles and hobbles off.
  239. [00:27] <Gamesmaster> "Do what you with them. I am heading back to my mech. I will not have it endangered by a bunch of freebirths messing with a fusion reactor." he says bluntly, and turns to leave

  241. [00:27] * Biorn sticks his head back through the doors.
  242. [00:28] <Biorn> If you girls are done dancing, either get through this door or I'm flooding it with you inside.
  243. [00:28] * Remus calmly talks over the radio to Stephan. *I am pretty sure you are a danger enough to it on your own, Sparky*
  244. [00:28] <Remus> \I was out of the room a long time ago\
  245. [00:29] <Gamesmaster> *Stephan biting his tongue, ignores Remus, seemingly for once keeping his mouth shut*

  256. [00:35] * Biorn takes aim at the coolant line from outside the door and pulls the trigger
  257. [00:37] <Gamesmaster> *The auto pistol round hits home in the nitrogen pipe. In a shower of sparks and with a dull thud, a haze of white vapour rushes out down towards the console. The pressure appears high, and it soon overwhelms the maintainance panels. It begins to quickly fill up the floor of the room, and slowly begins to seep out of both doors: the closest aperture near the cadets, and the far access door.*
  258. [00:38] <Gamesmaster> You can see the men on the floor begin shivering with cold,a nd they clasp the arms to sides. Their distress increases , and they attempt ot bakc away from the advancing vapour, searching for the exit door*
  259. [00:39] * Remus quickly pulls out his pistol and fires off a shot at each of the prisoners before slamming the door shut.
