Howto install the modpack?

this document discusses the instalation of the modpack and adisionaly to maintain multiple. packs

Stepone
https://minecraft.net/download
get the minecraft.exe and run it, select minecraf t .6.4
(at this time the latest 1.6 for that branch)

run it at least once in vanilla
http://files.minecraftforge.net/
get the latest forge installer and run/install it..

if you run the minecraft laucher again youll see a profile tab. make sure that your current profile is running the forge modiffied version (usualy at the bottom of list)
at this point you usualy check if minecraft will start and is loading forge.
if forge is loaded youll see version numbers and howmanny mods are loaded, if you dont see this you started vannila. and you need to chance your profile to load the 1.64 version as discribed above
so i asume you got forge installed and working properly.
what you have now is a clean minecraft with only forge installed.. its time to add some mod(packs)
so what now.
if you look at profile it also has a button "open game dir"
you should be like here..
c:\users\yourname\appdata\.minecraft
if you open the modpack youll see a config and a mods directory,
those file go in there respective drecoty of that

How to clone and have multiple modpacks..
make a new profile. and make sure it uses the forge modded version of 1.6.4
edit the gamedir apameter to point to a nother copied version
exsample c:\susers\purple\appdata\.minecraft_purple
Just make sure you dont mix the new files with the prevous one bij cleaning out the config and mods folders first.
you just select the profile you like to use and hit play!
