  6. 06[15:30] * Iltani opens the door. "Sir," she says as she enters, shutting the door behind her.

  8. [15:31] <@SuikoGM> "Isaacs." He's sitting at a desk in the room, fiddling with what looks to be a received message and a cipher. "What would that be?" He gestures for you to have a seat, turning away from his mail for a moment.
  9. 06[15:34] * Iltani does just that, and organizes her thoughts in her head. "Last night, we shared a vision with the seer, Lekha. A vision that brought to light sensitive information about our traveling group here that no one else could have know, lending some legitimacy to it."

  45. [16:18] <@SuikoGM> He looks a bit concerned when you mention "personal", but he doesn't push it. "We'll be fine for continuing to thin out the demon ranks for now. Doesn't mean you won't be missed, though."

  47. [16:19] <Iltani> "EVeryone in the vision seemed to have a connection with someone in the new group...."

  49. [16:19] <Iltani> "The shinobi, the dancer, the seer, myself....all saw someone with a personal interest in them."
  50. [16:20] <Iltani> "The woman with the revolver had a single-minded purpose in pursuing me."
  51. [16:20] <Iltani> She sighs. "She said that I had taken something precious from her."
  52. [16:20] <@SuikoGM> He frowns. "That's worrying. And I imagine you have no idea what that is."
  53. [16:20] <Iltani> "I might have an idea or two. I simply hope that I am not correct."
  54. [16:20] <@SuikoGM> "It's quite possible she's deluded."
  55. [16:21] <Iltani> "Regardless, it is another very good reason to stick together."
  56. [16:22] <@SuikoGM> He nods. "As you will, then, Isaacs. I wish you the best of luck. For now, the three of us are taking a short break while I decipher this letter." he gestures to the desk.

  58. 06[16:22] * Iltani nods, and detaches her Absols pin from her jacket.
  59. [16:23] <Iltani> "I'm very sorry about this, Garm. Give Bernard and Merydia my apologies as well," she says, laying it down on Garm's desk.
  60. [16:23] <@SuikoGM> "Iltani..."
  61. [16:23] <Iltani> "Hm?"
  62. [16:24] <@SuikoGM> He takes the pin and tries to give it back. "Keep it. You'll always be one of us, even if you feel a different duty taking precedence right now."
  63. [16:25] <@SuikoGM> "Whenever you feel like returning, we'll be waiting."
  64. 06[16:27] * Iltani rotates the pin with her fingers, catching the light glinting off its surface, and nods, pocketing the pin. "It won't be long."
  65. [16:27] <@SuikoGM> "You'll always have friends among us. Fare well."
  66. [16:27] <@SuikoGM> He smiles a little bit.
  67. [16:28] <Iltani> "Best of luck and skill, Garm."
  68. 06[16:28] * Iltani nods, and takes her leave.

  71. 06[16:32] * Lekha finishes adjusting her pack, which she's stuffed with all the food she could reasonably sneak out of the inn.

  74. [16:33] <TsukinoshiNoKatsuo> Katsuo has been waiting outside the inn for a while, with everyting ready. He's been giving Jubei some training in the meantime.

While I dress like what many of you might know as the dress of a Ninja commonly, when we are actually attempting subterfuge, we try to find clothing that would be unassuming or not draw any attention, usually by procuring an outfit on site."

  135. [16:53] <TsukinoshiNoKatsuo> He nods. "Some initial observation would be good."
  136. [16:53] <Somalakshmi> "There is one thing I know about them... they all use canine pokemon, don't they?"

  138. [16:55] <@SuikoGM> He thinks. "We have a couple, don't we? I doubt we'd all need to have our pokemon present."

Soma figures out that if the golem had killed one of the mercenaries, its patrol route probably crossed with theirs at some point. And with the creature taken care of, those patrols are likely to resume. In the northern section of the forest, Lekha spots a well-worn series of tracks heading to the west, and Katsuo starts ushering you all
  189. [17:12] <@SuikoGM> into your spots. Iltani keeps on watch, and after about forty minutes, you do indeed see a small group of five armored individuals heading this way.

The women... there's one with green hair and tanned skin, an albino lady with white hair, red eyes and pale skin, a woman with long, black hair stuffed into her helmet, and one with cyan hair, not quite the same shade as

  204. [17:20] <@SuikoGM> Their armor is pretty generic for the most part. The albino's got faded White Wolf heraldry on hers, the rest of it looks cobbled together from whatever they could get.
  205. [17:23] <@SuikoGM> Cornell is breathing heavily as he looks over the unconscious pile of sellswords.
  206. [17:23] <@SuikoGM> "They don't... look very organized, do they?"
  207. [17:24] <TsukinoshiNoKatsuo> "That is good, means it will be easier to fool them."
  208. [17:24] <TsukinoshiNoKatsuo> "We can tie these ones up for a bit and let them go later."
  209. [17:24] <@SuikoGM> "...Wait a moment."
  210. [17:24] <@SuikoGM> He starts counting the bodies again.
  211. [17:24] <Iltani> "The armor may be a bit of a tight fit."
  212. [17:24] <@SuikoGM> "...Only one male."
  213. [17:24] <@SuikoGM> "...Mm."
  214. [17:24] <Iltani> "And I have a lot of hair to stuff under the helmet."
  215. [17:24] <@SuikoGM> He stares at the albino lady.

  218. [17:25] <Iltani> "Well, then, Cornell."
  219. [17:25] <Iltani> "We come to the obvious conclusion."
  220. [17:25] <@SuikoGM> "...If it can't be avoided..."
  221. [17:25] <TsukinoshiNoKatsuo> "I apologize, but you are going to have to use one of the ladies."
  222. [17:26] <TsukinoshiNoKatsuo> He gets behind the bushes and gets to putting on the bigger dude's stuff. "They are a bit too large...but he did not charge."
  223. [17:26] <@SuikoGM> Cornell sighs. "I... suppose I will. I imagine I'm suited for it anyway. ...am I really a milksop, by the by?" He asks, quite a bit late.
  224. [17:27] <@SuikoGM> He must mean the Founder's comment from the vision.
  225. [17:27] <Somalakshmi> "I don't really know that phrase..."
  226. [17:27] <@SuikoGM> "..Nevermind."
  227. [17:27] <@SuikoGM> He shakes his head.
  228. [17:28] <@SuikoGM> Cornell gets changed, before long, even borrowing some of the woman's makeup. He steps out in the old White Wolf armor, looking quite the part, though lacking her eye color.
  229. [17:29] <@SuikoGM> With a grimace, he changes his gloves, last.
  230. [17:30] <@SuikoGM> Oh, and like Katsuo, he did get behind the bushes to change.

  233. [17:30] <@SuikoGM> As he peels the glove off his left hand, you notice a rune embedded on the back of it.

  235. [17:32] <@SuikoGM> He stares at the rune a moment with distaste, before tapping it with his right hand. There's the small shimmering sound of a rune activating, and his voice pitch goes up a few bars to something feminine sounding. "La. Laaaaa. ...That should do."

  237. [17:32] <TsukinoshiNoKatsuo> He blinks. "Why's that? It seems convenient."
  238. [17:33] <@SuikoGM> "It's a Sound Rune. My parents had it embedded on my hand when I was younger, by a master among rune masters."
  239. [17:33] <Somalakshmi> "Does it have some sort of side-effect?"

Further to the west, a winding trail leads the way toward a medium-sized encampment with tall palisades. From the advantage of the uneven land, you can see around twelve different buildings and quite a number of people,
