The dazzling all-female final evolution of Flabébé, trainers and Pokemon alike easily mistake Florges as a timid mate. This is not so, however: while Florges are normally a very gentle Pokemon, during mating their behavior radically changes, using force to dominate their mates. Predatory mates stalking Florges come to find themselves at the mercy of the vines they keep hidden within the flowers on their head. Florges have a reproductive canal hidden in the back of the base of their torso, revealed only when they bend over. Florges use their vines to manipulate their captive mate to procreate, after which they send their now frightened partner away with a sharp whip against their backside.

It is highly recommended that Pokephiles who wish to mate with a Florges are made aware of this fact before attempting to mate, particularly if they are the Florges natural trainer. While they do not mate for life, mating with a Florges nevertheless severs the trainer/Pokemon bond that is built upon capture and training, and a trainer's Florges will no longer treat their trainer like their trainer, but instead like a slave. Attempting to resist a Florges during intercourse will result in whippings, though Florges are never aggressive with their attacks, whipping only enough to retain control of their mates. For some, this is a blessing, and Florges respond well to mates who they can continuously dominate. However, many trainers have attempted to mate with their Florges without proper research, and have ended up giving their Florges away. Florges will perform oral sex if propositioned by a trainer they have mated with repeatedly, however the Florges will expect their trainer to return the favor, and those who don't will be punished.
