>you fly up, do a little flip in the air and get back down

>Soarin's eyes say it all. He's terrified at the prospect of losing Twilight and Celestia to Luna.
>"You are one of the fastest fliers I know, and a Wonderbolt to boot. Our duty is to protect Equestria. I need you to go warn Princess Celestia, and Spitfire."
>Soarin nods, grabbing his old flight goggles.
>"I'll have the entire corps here as soon as I can. Please stay safe."
>You nuzzle into Soarins' wing joints once before he flies off.
"I'll be fine. I'm not going to lose another friend because of this."

>You make your way through Ponyville, leaving a rainbow streak in the air behind you.
"Twilight! TWILIGHT OPEN UP!"
>Your hooves knock against the wooden door to the massive castle Twilight now owns in the middle of Ponyville.
"IT'S IMPORTANT! I FOUND PRINCESS LUNA!"
>The door opens up to Twilight rubbing at her eye with a hoof.
>"What? I really couldn't hear you. This place is gigantic."
"I found Princess Luna. She's out in some field next to Anon's grave. She's insane, talking to him like she's standing right next to him."
>Your mouth is running at a mile a minute trying to convey everything you need to.
"She's almost like Nightmare Moon again. I tried to tell her we all miss her, but oh Celestia. I think she's coming back! She's coming back here to try and teach you and Celestia a lesson!"
>Your voice quavers and tears form in the corners of your eyes.
"I am so sorry. I didn't know she would react that way! Soarin is out right now telling Celestia, and getting the Wonderbolts ready in case Princess Luna comes back."

>Be Twilight
>You are trying to comfort your friend as she sobs into your shoulder.
"It's alright, Rainbow. I know you didn't mean for this to happen."
>You pull Dash's head up, and wipe away her tears with your wing tip.
>"She looked terrible, Twilight, and I think she meant it. She's out for your blood."
"She's just upset. We all are. When Princess Celestia sees her everything will be fine. We beat Tirek, Discord, Chrysalis and every other nasty monster this world can throw at us. A hurt friend? Why this will be easy."

>As soon as Rainbow Dash vanishes from your sight, you curl up around the cold tombstone marking the plot of land where Anon's body forever rests.
>The reality around you slowly dissolves into blackness, and from the blackness comes a tranquil little scene.
>A large wolf bounds up to you, and riding on the wolf are your two children. They laugh and scream in delight as the wolf runs out past the wooden gate to your house.
>Sitting on the porch, is Anon slowly rocking back and forth. Both of his legs are there, each one whole and healthy as the day he arrived in Equestria.
>He sits in his rocking chair, holding a small piece of wood in one hand, and a sharp knife in the other hand.
>Everytime he whittles away a piece of the wood, he runs his thumb over it. Always checking to make sure he didn't cut too deep.
>One of his hand rolled cigarettes is slowly burning away in the corner of his mouth as well.
>You remember when you took your first drag on it. The taste was bitter, and the rush from the smoke made your head spin, but for some reason Anon liked to smoke them. Said it's just one of his human vices.
>As you approach those comforting scents of cedar wood, and tobacco smoke fill your nostrils, and calms you down.
"We had one of our old friends stop by today."
>"I know. The sky went dark, and the storm looked like it could of flooded the plains."
"It was Rainbow Dash. She asked us to come back home. Said Equestria needed me again. How my sister is miserable, and Twilight needs a new teacher. I....I let her almost out again."
>Your ears droop down, until you feel the warm muscles wrap around your barrel, and lift you up into Anon's lap.
>"And you didn't. That's the only important thing that matters, but I do want to know if you actually want to go back to Equestria?"
"No! Never! I couldn't leave you here...you are the only one who I can love."

>"I am half dead, Luna. Your sister is whole and healthy. Maybe you should go back to living in the real world once more?"
>Your tears sting as they roll down your cheeks.
>You can hear....her inside of you. Long ago when you first came back from the Moon the voice was gone, but she had been there under the surface biding her time, waiting to be released once more.
>She was never silent, always whispering in your head. She wanted to feast on the nightmares of the ponies. Bask in the eternal glow of the moon.
>When you first moved out here, you kept visiting Flash's dreams, and did all you could to drive him insane.
>It worked up until your sister found a way to block you from visiting his dreams.
>The thought of losing Anon again was enough to make your mane slowly turn purple, and your coat to turn black.
"The only way I am going back to Equestria is as Nightmare Moon."
>Anon chuckles, and rubs the back of your ears calming the rage inside of you.
>"The only time I ever want to see you as Nightmare is when we are in bed together."
>Your cheeks light up, and you swat at Anon with your wings.
"Very well...we will stay here with you. As long as we can."

>Be Princess Celestia
>And you also have a major headache.
>Being woken at two in the morning by the entire Wonderbolt corps appearing in the throne room, and about six notes from Twilight hitting you in the face does get to you.

My friend Rainbow Dash heard several rumors about the whereabouts of Princess Luna. Since she is the Element of Loyalty she felt herself compelled to go out and try to track her down.

Rainbow found Princess Luna. According to her she was living in the outskirts of a Changeling infected town outside of Equestria itself. Anon's grave was there, and she was talking like someone else was there with her.

Rainbow then said Princess Luna turned aggressive when she asked her to come back home with her. That she threatened my life, and your own in her anger.

Of course as Princess of Friendship, I feel it's my duty to try and help Luna return back to Equestria.

>Normally you would be against just sending Twilight out on her own against your possibly insane sister, but she did have a point. She was Princess of Friendship. Maybe she could do a better job than you could?

>You decide to give Twilight permission to journey out to find your sister. Unlike the other missions you have sent her out on, this time you shall accompany her.
>This isn't some monster threatening to attack Equestria. It's your poor sister.
>You pull a piece of parchment from a bundle sitting in the corner of the room, and one of the phoenix feather quills.

"Dear Twilight Sparkle.

I shall give you permission to travel to the outskirts, and find my sister. Please bring your friends with you though. Luna does care about them as much as I do.

I will also accompany you this time. There is no lesson to be learned Twilight. No monster attacking us, or trying to scare us. This is my sister, and I wish to be along to help you.

I will meet you at Ponyville Station as soon as I can. There are several preprations I need to make with the Royal Guard.

>Several hours later
> Be Twilight Sparkle yet again.
>Thanks to Princess Celestia's clout, she was able to get the train up and running before the main morning rush.
>Right now you were sitting in the back train car along with the rest of your friends.
>Princess Celestia was also there, staring out the window, and watching as the scenery slowly changed.
>Soarin was there as well. Since the Wonderbolts were called into action to defend the country from a possible attack from Nightmare Moon he was in his old Wonderbolt uniform. The bags around his eyes were far more prominent then when you first met him, but he was as loyal as Rainbow Dash.
>Flash was sitting by your side as well. Much like Soarin he was called into active duty, and had his old armor on as well. Seeing him there comforted you. He was a good guard, one of the reasons why he was assigned to be your personal guard after Tirek attacked.
>Trixie was sitting silently in the corner glaring at Flash, and you.
>Celestia had invited her along as well, since Trixie had spent hours alone with Princess Luna after Anon's death.
>Unlike the rest of the group who forgave Flash, Trixie never did forgive him for that terrible accident that caused Anon's death.
"Trixie...it's ni-"
>"Shut the buck up, Sparkle. I'm not here for you, or your husband. I'm here for Princess Luna."
>Trixie got up, and turned away from you, leaving the train car to move up to another one where the small group of guards were.
>You get up to try, and talk to her but Flash blocks your way.
>"Don't push the issue with her, dear. She's just upset. We all are. Let's go get Luna back home, and then you can try to patch things up with her."
>You nod towards Flash, and give him a small kiss. He always was your better half in stressful situations.

>The train comes to a stop outside of the desolate town, and you look out.
>Tin roofs, and cheap wooden shacks are all your eye can see.
>One good storm would literally blow this town away.
>Princess Celestia gives you a small nudge, and you look up seeing you're the only one left in the train car.
>"Come along, Twilight. Rainbow Dash has told me where to go. I need your help with the teleportation spell."
"My help?"
>"Yes, your help. I can't move all these ponies myself, without exausing my magic. I need your help Princess Twilight."
>Celestia lowers her horn, and you gasp when the tip of that white spire touches your own.
>Magic floods your entire being, and your eyes glow white before you cast the spell vanishing all thirty of you from the rusted train platform to a large field.
>The field is dark, unnaturally dark. But even in the darkness you can see a single tree growing.
>Next to that tree is a pony with a billowing mane.
>It's her.
>Princess Luna.
>The guards tense up, as you look towards your friends, and Princess Celestia.
>"Go on, Sugarcube."
>"You can do it, Twilight."
>"She needs your help, darling."
>"I believe in you, Princess Twilight."
>You swallow once, before stepping towards Luna, your hoof outstretched.
"Princess Luna, it's me Twilight....I brought your friends with me. Everyone is here. Your sister, my friends, Trixie...Soarin, Flash. Please come back, we miss you."

>Finally, you get to be Anon.
>You watch as Luna's entire body tenses up, and her mane grows more violent in it's movements.
>Stars go supernova, and erupt within the never ending night sky of her mane.
>She's upset, far more than you had ever seen her.
>"They are here...." She said, still hiding her face in your chest.
>"They want me to leave you."
"And what do you want to do?"
>"I want to stay here with you. This world is perfect for us, Anon. We can be together until the end of time. We can fill this world with our children...."
>You chuckle, and slowly scratch at Luna's ears, calming that mane of hers down.
"I can't stop you from doing what you want. Go and do as you wish, Luna."
>As you keep rubbing her ears, an old song from the human world comes back to you, and you softly sing as Luna fades from your lap.

A hole in the sky
A supernatural nightlight

>You wince a bit at that, and look at the taller mare.
"He was our friend, much like you are. We care about both of you."
>Luna sneered at those words.
>"If that were true he wouldn't be dead, and the bucker who killed him wouldn't of gotten away with it! NOW LEAVE US BE!"
>The power of her shout knocks you backwards, and you watch as she goes back towards the small tomb stone.
>Wait...she said us? That....no....it couldn't be.
>You extend your magic towards Luna, and gasp when you enter her mind.
>Anon is alive, and holding Princess Luna in his arms. From this distance you can't hear much.
>"It.......don......they.......leave so......."
"Anon!"
>He looks up at you, but Princess Luna's face shows you crossed a line.
>"HOW DARE YOU VIOLATE OUR SANCTUARY!"
>"GET OUT! OUT OUT OUT!!!!!!"
>Luna's magic blasts you out of her mind, and the last thing you see is Anon trying to calm Luna down.
>"YOU BASTARDS! YOU CAN'T LEAVE US ALONE CAN YOU!?"
>Luna's stained coat changes from dark blue to pitch black, and she starts to grow taller.
>"YOU ALL SAY YOU CARE! ALL YOU DID WAS MAKE HIS LIFE WORSE!"

>You are no longer Luna.
>You are Nightmare Moon.
>Yet....you aren't?
>Your cutie mark never changed.
>Your feelings for Anon kept you in check.
"None of you cared for him...."
>Your gaze locks onto Twilight.
"You pushed the boundaries of the friendship. He wished to be alone. To sacrifice his life to keep you happy. You violated his privacy."

>Finally you gaze at Trixie.
"You......you were a true friend to him. A friend to me as well. You and Princess Cadence. Tell her that he misses her. He misses you as well Trixie. You are welcome to visi-AH!"
>Pain.
>That's all you can feel as you look down at your chest.
>Red blood spurts from the arrow that now pierces your chest.
>You look up, and see the pony who caused all of this.
>It's Flash. He's the one holding the bow.
>"I won't let Equestria fall to you Nightmare Moon!"
>Princess Celestia's horn is glowing as well. She must of enchanted the arrow that he fired.
>"As much as it pains me to do this sister, Flash Sentry is correct. You are a threat to Equestria. Without the Elements of Harmony to banish you back to the moon for another thousand years, and the gravity of the threats against the crown....I must sentence you to death."

>Trixie's turn to be you.
>You watch as Nightmare Moon falls to the ground, bleeding from the arrow wound to her chest.
>You watch as Flash walks over to Princess Celestia, and stows his bow back with it's quiver.
>"It was nothing, Princess Celestia. I'm glad to help."
>That smug bastard is GLOATING!?
>You can feel your rage bubbling up inside as you keep listening to Flash speak with that infuriating smugness.
>"It's so terrible how she fell to that beast inside of her again, but she was like a rabid dog. Had to be put down for the safety of the country. Just like that monster, Anon."
>Oh hell no....
>"I heard from my beloved Princess that he almost killed a Minotaur bare handed. Imagine if he was still alive. I'm glad I killed him. Perhaps that's worthy of a medal, Princess Celestia?"
>Your horn lights up, and you feel the anger fueling the magic inside of you.
>A massive magical firework fires from your horn, and lands in the ground a few feet away from Flash.
>"Really? Some magician you are! You can't even hit the side of a barn."
>You smirk, as the small fuse at the base of the firework burns away.
"I don't have to aim with a firework you idiot."
>"Oh buc-"
>BOOM!
>The explosion rocks the ground, throwing Flash and Princess Celestia from the area. The rest of the ponies are blasted back with the shockwave.
>Dust fills the air, and your ears ring from the sheer sound of the explosion.
>Flash is laying about thirty feet away. His hind leg was cleanly blown off, and the jagged bone spurts blood every few seconds.
>His golden armor is a mangled mess, and his left wing is nothing more than a stripped clean chicken wing. The hollow flight bones pierced through the burnt flesh.
>You pick up his dropped sword, and make your way over towards him.
>Even now he tries to slowly drag himself away.
>"You can't do this! The Princess will throw you in the dungeon! I'm royalty! Please don't kill me!"
>The strong scent of urine hits your nose. He pissed himself.

>"TRIXIE NO! DON'T DO THIS!"
>Twilight's screams fill the air, as she runs towards you.
>As soon as she gets within twenty feet of you, her face smacks off of the small shield you had put up to stop anyone from interrupting you.
>Cadence had taught you that spell before you left for the trip.
>As you left the Crystal Empire castle she told you one thing.
>"Make sure he pays for what he did, Trixie."
>"TRIXIE! STOP IT! DON'T KILL HIM! HE'S MY HUSBAND!"
>Twilight's hooves beat on the light blue shield, as you finally approach Flash.
>His sword dangling in the air just by your sheer will.
>You could end his pathetic life right now.
>That's all it would take.
>One simple thought.
>You didn't want it to be over that fast though.
>You wanted him to suffer.
>He killed Anon just because he wanted to hoard Twilight to himself.
>He dared to call Anon a monster? He was the real monster. Not even a dragon would do what he did.

>The sword moves down with a quick thought.
>You have to give Flash something. He was rather good at sharpening his swords.
>The metal sliced right through his wing, severing it cleanly.
>Flash screamed louder then before, and Twilight's hooves bashed against the shield harder then before.
"You all heard what he said! He knew what he did! Anon's death wasn't an accident! He planned all of this! He deserves to die!"
>Once more you bring the sword down, cutting through his other wing.
>You burnt the wing stumps closed, making sure he would never be able to have his wings reattached if he survived this.
>You brought the sword to his neck, and pushed it against his skin hard enough to slice through the first layer of skin.
"You bastard....you deserve far more than I can dish out...."

>"Trixie! NO!"
>Every head turns to the source of the noise.
>It's Princess Luna...or Nightmare Moon.
>Only instead of her voice, it's an odd amalgam of her own voice, and a voice you haven't heard for nearly three years.
>It's Anon's voice.
>"Don't kill him, Trixie! He's not worth it!"
>You push down against the sword with her magic.
"He killed you Anon! You heard him! He was gloating about your death! He doesn't deserve to live!"
>That sword was so very close to severing his jugular vein. Just a little more pressure.
>Your tears were blurring your vision.
>You wanted to see him bleed.
>You wanted to see Flash dead, broken, defeated.
>"Trixie please....remember what I did. I didn't want Flash to be killed like this. If you want him to suffer let him live. You already took everything from him."

>Your tears sting even more, but you lower the sword down to the ground.
>You give the trembling Flash one last glare before spitting in his face.
"The only reason you are still alive is because of Anon. Without him I would of cut your head off. He is a bigger man than you could ever be."
>You drop the shield, and Twilight rushes over to Flash's side, holding the maimed pony up.
>You walk over towards Nightmare, and stand next to her, watching as the other ponies circle around Flash.
>"How could you....he was found innocent! He did his time..."
"He gloated about that murder, Twilight. And you are a fool for forgiving him when he should of been forced to rot in Tartarus with Tirek and every other foul monster in that pit."
>Celestia slowly rises up, her horn encased in her yellow aura.
>Her horn lowers itself, and the air around you heats up. Too hot, too fast. It feels like you are within a oven.
>The light is too bright, and before you know it everything fades from your sight.

>The heat from Celestia's magic sends you to the floor, and when you wake up it's only to see Celestia's regal body walking over a wounded Luna.
>"You sicken me...you and my sister."
>Celestia steps over the normal looking Luna, and stands over the crudely crafted tombstone.
>Once more her horn lights up, and the ground above Anon's coffin is dug up, and sent flying.
>She peers down into the grave, and lifts it up setting it down on the ground.
>"Is this really the cause of this behavior, Luna? A foreign creature in our lands? You seem to forget the lesson I taught you when I banished you to the moon."
>She turns her head to look at you.
>"And you....Twilight told me you had changed from the pony who took over Ponyville. It seems she was mistaken about you."
>"Sister! Don't do it! Don't hurt that casket!"
>Celestia's horn flashes, and a deep gash appears on Luna's muzzle.
>"I will do what is necessary to keep my country safe, and if that involves burning this creature then so be it."
>"SISTER! NO!"
>Celestia's horn starts to light up, and a small fire begins to form at the corner of Anon's casket.

>Be Princess Luna once more.
>The celestial fires quickly consume the metal casket, and through the holes melting in the metal you see Anon's body.
>Your spell is working, even against the might of Celestia's magic.
>Anon's body is untouched by the fires.
>"What foul magic is this?!"
"You can't touch him Celestia. None of you can. He's in a better place. His body is protected until the end of days, and his mind is as strong as it was when he first arrived! Torture me, banish me, or kill me! It matters not, sister dearest! Anon shall be safe forever more!"
>You watch as Celestia's rage grows.
>Spell after spell of destructive magic is thrown at Anon's body, but Starswirl knew his magic well.
>Nothing can physically harm Anon's body.
>"You think you've won, Luna? I know you are keeping Anon hidden away in that silly dreamscape you always walk."
>This time she turns to face you.
>Her magic digs into your mind, and you scream as the brute force is too much to push off.
>She's done it. She used the same spell that Twilight used on Anon. Risks be damned. Now all that Anon has left is himself.

>Be Princess Celestia.

>From inside of the dream scape you can see what Luna sees each time she performs her duties necessary to keep Equestria peaceful.
>Thousands of dreams, and nightmares bubble forth from the darkness.
>Yet you pass them by. Perhaps you will return to the nightmares when this is finished.
>But for now you know exactly where to go.
>The path is well worn into Luna's mind, and eventually you come across the dream bubble that housed Anon's mind.
>You enter the bubble, and look out at the view.
>It's tranquil to say the least. A small stream running through a large field with tall grass. Several small trees grow in various spots, and in the middle of the field is a small cottage.
>The sounds of two laughing children fills the air.
>They run through the field, stopping when they see you.
>Those eyes stare up into your own, and you can see the fear on their faces.
>"Lumy....go find Dad. Now...."
>The pure white filly turned her back on her brother and ran to find her father. Her coloration was closer to the moon now that you looked at her.
>Her brother was pitch black, and his little horn was glowing in his magic.
>"Go away! Mommy told us about you, Auntie Celesita!"
>The colt's magic pushes against your long legs, and you ignore it as you walk forward.
>These children were nothing but manifestations of Luna's magic.
>Meaningless rabble in the long run.
>You step over the colt, and move towards the cottage.
>The filly had ran inside of the cottage, and you could hear movement inside of the house.
>The door slams open, and the filly is standing a stunned Anon.
>"Go to your brother, Lumy."
>The filly runs between her father's legs, and runs towards the other colt.
>"Why are you here? What have you done with Luna?"
"I'm here to end this. You are the cause of so much misery in my kingdom. Once I demolish this world my sister built, and I pull myself from her mind you will be nothing but a broken mind left to die."

>The sound of a crying infant hits your ears.
>Of course...Luna always spoke about finding a stallion to be with. To have children with.
>Yet you knew deep down inside the terrible truth of the matter. Both of you were infertile.
>In this world of dreams, and magic however she was able to bend the rules, and experience something you never will.
>The feeling of life growing in your belly. Playing with your daughter.
>You often asked Luna to choose a little filly to tutor, and mentor much like you have over the years.
>Everytime though she rejected the offer, saying the bond wasn't a true mother/daughter one.
>There was also the horrible prospect of watching the pony grow old, and pass away.
>The screaming of the child grew louder, and you pushed Anon inside, searching for the source of that grating noise.
>In the rustic cabin sits a small crib, and within the crib a young baby human.
>The creature stirs in it's blanket, and stops crying when it sees you.
>She giggles, and holds her hand out perhaps thinking it's her mother in disguise.
>Yet you know deep down inside it's nothing more than an illusion carried by Luna's magic.
>You gather up the proper spell, and fire it at the baby.
>It vanishes without a trace. No pained screams, no blood and gore, just a faint trickle of dispelled magic.
"No! You monster! Stop it!"
>Anon's voice greets you, as you go to work demolishing the cabin.
>The wolf is next to go, and finally the lands outside of the cabin leaving only Anon holding his two 'children' in his arms.
>They too are crying much like their infant brother. Yet they must be dealt with. They are the last two reminders of Luna's magic.
>With them gone, the magic keeping Anon's body preserved will vanish leaving his body finally open to be destroyed.
>"Daddy...I'm scared."
>"I know, Lumy...just close your eyes, it will be over in a second."

>The world flashes before your eyes, and the gathered spell fizzles out.
>You are drawn out of the dream world, not by Anon's sheer will, or your sister's magic.
>It's your old student, and the newest Princess.
>Twilight is holding the sword Trixie dropped, and you feel something hot trickling down your muzzle.
>A single crimson drop of blood breaks off from the tip of your snout, and splashes against the grass at your hooves.
>For over a thousand years, before Nightmare Moon, and even before Discord you have never shed a drop of blood.
>And now the student you trusted more than anyone else wielded the sword that put a deep gash just below your eye.
>"Stop it, Celestia! You're going to kill your sister! Look at her!"
>Still stunned from the sudden feeling of pain, you look down at Luna.
>She's foaming at the mouth, her eyes are rolling under her closed sockets.
>Seizures, one of the first symptoms of mental damage from the spell you cast.
>If you had probed any deeper she would of been reduced to an invalid.
"Twilight....I'm doing this for the country...if we let any other monster live for this long...."
>"HE'S NOT A MONSTER!"
>The sword swings at you again, and you feel that sensation you haven't felt for millenia.
>Pain. That wonderful feeling letting you know just how alive you are.
>And how much you are willing to fight to stay that way.
>"We did this to him! We are the ones who pushed him past the limit!"
>Twilight draws back the sword once more, as her friends join her.
>"We ignored the signs of his depression."
>"We ignored him when he called out for help."
>"We didn't leave him alone when he wanted us to."
>"And we....."
>Twilight looked at the barely moving body of her husband.
>"We let a murderer get away with it."
>Twilight's friends gather around her, and they are joined by Trixie.
>The Wonderbolts, and your own royal guard stand behind them.

>The only pony in the group to not be standing behind Twilight is Flash.
>He's still alive, but barely.
>His pained whimpers fill the air as he twitches.
"But...look at what he's done...."
>Your voice is weak, and you feel like a filly trying to explain a broken window to your parents.
>"Anon didn't do any of this. It was us. We are the ones who hurt him. Please, Princess Celestia...let's just go. Princess Luna can stay here...."
>You turn your head to look at your sister, who's weakly breathing. She would recover from the spell.
"But she's my sister....I can't leave her out here like this."

"I'm sorry...but I have to do this."
>A powerful barrier is thrown up between the group of ponies, and you.
"This...creature has been nothing but trouble since he first arrived. I thought we would be able to work everything out, but it seems I was far too lenient with him."
>You feel the familiar solar magic gathering around your horn.
>Magic fueled from the constant fusion of the sun's mass.
>Without your sister's magic keeping his body pristine he would of course rot away.
>That would take far too long.
>Best to vaporize him now.
"I do this not because I dislike him. I do this to protect Equestria from anymore pain, and suffering."
>The heat from your horn is growing, and soon the spell shall be ready to cast.
"I know you all see me as a villain, but I know in time you will all understand why I did this."
>You turn to face Anon's body.
>It's finally time.
>You cast the spell, and the area in front of you is cast in bright light, leaving nothing behind but fine soot.
>It's done.
>He's gone.
>Anon's body is finally gone.
>As you turn back to look at the assembled ponies, you feel something quickly jerk back on your neck, throwing you to the ground.

>You are now DA BUURR

>Right before the magic struck, you could feel everything.
>And you moved, you moved faster than you ever have before.
>The spell blinded Celestia long enough for you to grapple her wings, and neck giving you the proper leverage to suplex her.
"Luna!"
>You run over towards the still slowly twitching Luna, holding her head against your own.
"What the hell did you do to her!?"

"ANSWER ME! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?"
>You can taste the blood in the back of your throat from the sheer anger of your shout.
>Even Celestia is cowed by the power.
>"Ho...how? Nothing could survive my magic...."
>You look down at yourself, and notice it's true.
>Luna's spell....it must of been active still.
>You were immune to her sister's magic, as long as her love still existed.
"You of all ponies should know Celestia. There is magic even stronger then you are capable of summoning forth. Friendship. Love. Your sister knew that."
>"No! That isn't possible! The power of the Royal Sisters is supposed to be the strongest magic in all the land!"
>You laugh at that.
"After everything you saw Twilight and her friends pull off, you believe yourself higher then they are?"
>Celestia stands on her hooves, and her mane begins to billow out behind her, changing from rainbow into a firey mane.
>"I have controlled one of the sisters before! I was beaten by the Elements! I will not be beaten by a single human! No matter who he loves!"
>Something in your mind clicks.
>Celestia's jealousy, her anger. How out of character from the stories Twilight told you.
>Nightmare Moon is controlling her.
>"If love is your great source of love, then let's see what happens when I kill everything, and everyone you love Anon!"

>Celestia's mane is now a raging inferno flowing behind her.
>"It's true. Ever since you stole Celestia's dear sister from her, she's been a wonderful incubator for me."
>Celestia lets out a small laugh.
>"All of those wonderful feelings that Luna felt over a thousand years ago. Jealousy, anger, and desire. Jealousy over you loving Luna. Anger at being unloved, and desire. Desire to know what she had."
>Celestia's wings fan out as her exposition goes on.
>"Flash was a wonderful little puppet as well. All it took was a promise from me to make sure you were gone, and he was like putty. You should of heard him. Crying like a little filly about how Twilight always worried about you. His fears over Twilight having an affair. I'm the one who told him the proper potion to grab! I'm the one who told him where you were! I'm the one who told him to try and kill you!"

>"It's over for you Anon. It's over for all of you pesky little ponies."
>You turn your head to the side, and watch as Flash slowly crawls his way behind where Celestia is standing.
>"Oh...it will be simply wonderful. I will return with the bodies of all these ponies. Say how terrible it was. Luna went crazy, turned back into Nightmare Moon and killed all of them. How I had to banish Luna to Tartarus."
>Flash is now about thirty feet away, and in his mouth is his sword.
>"I will shed a few crocodile tears, and then I will be in the prime position to take over this country!"
>Celestia throws her head back to laugh, right as Flash stabs her in the back of the leg, sending her down to the ground.
>In the struggle, he manages to climb up to her, just as Celestia's horn lights up.
>"Anon! I'm sorry for what I did! I know I can't make it up to you, but please!"
>Celestia snarls and throws Flash off, before firing a spell at him.
>Moments before it hits, you hear his voice one last time.
>"TAKE CARE OF TWILIGHT FOR ME!"
>The spell hits his chest dead center, and he's gone in a flash, vaporized into nothingness.
>Twilight's scream fills the air, and Celestia laughs.
>"Fear not Twilight, soon you shall join him, and your lovely little filly will make an excellent replacement for you."

>You watch as Flash's helmet rolls to the ground, and slowly wobbles back and forth.
>Sure you weren't a fan of the guy, but still no one deserved to get turned into soot like that.
>You make your way over towards Celestia, and deliver a harsh punch square into her jawline.
>Then another, and another.
>You feel the past anger you felt at watching all of your friends get hitched.
>The rage of losing a leg.
>Years of living as a outcast.
>Wrestling for those sick ponies who enjoyed watching you.
>The anger at Twilight, and her friends for dragging you back into this.
>Each punch is a moment in this new life.
>A moment you regret living.
>The last punch is a punch caused by Luna.
>A realization that the past three years never happened in real life.
>Your kids never existed, and never would exist.
>Celestia's face is a bloodied, and bruised mess.
>Between gasps for air she is begging you to stop, but you don't stop.
>Finally you grab her neck, and wrap your arm around it.
>The finishing move you were known for back in the wrestling ring.
>The move that always made sure you won.
>Some idiots started to give it a name.
>You remember the name they screamed as you squeezed the life out of your victims.
>The bear hug.

>Celestia struggles against the pressure on her neck.
>Immortial Alicorn or not, she needed oxygen as much as the next creature.
>In one last ditch effort, she casts a spell.
>Against your skin, you feel the heat rising.
>Celestia was growing larger.
>Her fur going from white to red.
>She was going to kill herself, going out like a star.
>Your veins pop, and your tendons tear as you keep squeezing that thick neck in your arms.
>Everything goes white....and your world goes black.

>You are Twilight Sparkle.
>And you are sitting in Canterlot Church.
>You are wearing a black dress.
>With a small thought you go to Pinkie's sister, Maud.
>She would like this dress.
>The thought of her smiling makes you have to stifle a giggle behind your hoof.
>What in Equestria is wrong with you?
>Laughing at a funeral?
>You look around, and see the rest of your friends sitting with their heads hung low.
>Each of them is with their husband, and various kids.
>The kids look bored.
>Sitting in the next pew over is Princess Luna.
>Her own dress is elegant, yet somber as well.
>A black veil covers her face.
>Princess Celestia is there as well.
>You remember how you found her after that magical attack.
>She was worse than when she went hoof to hoof against Chrysalis, but somehow she managed to survive.
>Trixie is sitting next to Princess Luna.
>Her garish hat and cloak replaced by a black number as well.
>Trixie recently stopped to tell you she was pregnant as well.
>You smile at the thought of being a aunt to the little filly in some way.
>The smile is wiped away as the casket is brought forth, carried by the finest of Celestia's royal guards.

>The casket wasn't necessarly needed since there was no body to bury.
>But Celestia insisted on giving him a proper send off with the highest award possible to the royal guard.
>The Solar Medal.
>The medal was only given to those who gave their life in the service of the country.
>As the next kin, you were the one who was given keepsake of the medal, which you held in your hooves.
>The medal itself was beautiful, and box was as well.
>In a way you wish Celestia hadn't gone so far with this funeral.
>Yes, Flash was the father of your kids.
>And there would always be a part of you that loved him...
>But now, after hearing what he did....and why he did it....
>You hated him. You wished he would be buried in a unmarked grave.
>He didn't deserve this award.
>He didn't deserve these ponies all bowing their heads towards him.
>Your thought are once again interrupted by the nudging of Rianbow's wing.
>Oh right, you promised to give the eulogy for Flash.
>You made your way up to the podium, and you pulled out the small stack of note cards.
>Celestia and Luna helped you write these words, and in retrospect they didn't feel right.
"I had a speech prepared saying how Flash was a wonderfully brave pony. A pony who died to protect his country, and his loved ones....but I can't say those words."
>The crowd looks up, confusion on their faces.
"Flash was a coward. A coward who only acted in self defence. A coward who's last act wasn't to save the country, but to save the memory we have of him. Ponies seem to forget that he was the cause of this...of all of this. Princess Celestia was infected by Nightmare Moon. Flash....he acted of his own free will. His jelaousy, and anger made him attempt to murder one of my best friends."
>Your eyes look out, and you see Anon wearing a black suit, and tie with your daughter in his arms.
>He's doing his best to comfort Starlight.
>Ever since Flash died, Anon took his words to heart for some reason.

>You watched Starlight's tears roll down her cheek.
>She wouldn't understand why her father acted that way.
>It wouldn't be for a long time until she was ready to fully understand why he acted the way he did.
>It was hard watching her struggle to understand, but she was still too young.
>Anon understood that, especially with his own child on the way.
>Princess Luna had made plans to move out of Canterlot Castle.
>You heard her say that she had plans on renovating the old Everfree Castle into a habitable place to live again.
>Anon was just happy to be with her no matter where she went.
>You stepped down from the podium, and watched as your brother went up to speak about Flash's military history.
>You didn't listen, you knew all of this from your time together.
>Instead you went back to your young daughter, and pulled her into a soft hug.
"Thanks, Anon. I know it must be tough for her....hearing these things about her father."
>He nods once, before running his hands through Star's mane.
>"She's a tough pony. She has her father's strength deep inside of her."
>You set Starlight down, and she watches as another pony speaks about Flash.
"Thank you, Anon....you don't have to do this."
>He shakes his head.
>"It's the least I can do. Really....being here after all this time. It's nice. Luna is happy too. As long as she's happy....I'm happy. I never should of left. I realize that now. I should of been here, for you. Watched your kids grow up."

>The funeral comes to a close, and the procession moves to the military grave yard.
>The past guards who have fallen in battle, the nameless soldiers, and the families of those who wished to be buried next to their loved ones are interred in the ground.
>Flash shall be one of the many who rest beneath the ground.
>You watch as the casket is lowered into the ground, and the hole quickly filled with the dirt.
>It hurts to watch as your husband of the past eight years is buried, and that you will never see him again.
>Everyone gathered lowers their heads one last time as the priest gave Flash his final rights.
>The crowd slowly disperses, and Anon moves over towards Princess Luna, his hand caressing her still flat stomach. It would be a while before she starts showing.
>You hear them talking about leaving for Canterlot Castle, and packing up the rest of her things.
"Anon...wait. I just...thank you. I just don't understand why you are being so nice to me, and Star."
>He smiles, the first smile you've seen on him in three years.
>"It's what friends do, and you of all ponies should know. Friendship is magic."
>You watch as he walks out of the grave yard with Princess Luna to support his weak leg.
>After all this time....you finally know, Anon got his second chance.
