The Friendship and Fun Fair

All villagers of lovetown are excited for the coming winter fair. There will be so much to see and to do like a Christmas decoration contest, fun carnival rides, a cooking contest and much more. It is an event people look forward to all year long.

Zell want to go to the fair with his best friend Curlos and runs over to his house to ask if he wants to come but he is so excited he doesn’t look where he runs and falls right into a pitfall hole! He starts screaming and crying: ,,My leg! My leg!” Curlos hears the crying and comes out to see what happened. He sees Zell stuck in the pitfall and helps him out. ,,I can’t stand on my leg!” Cries Zell. Curlos calls an ambulance and comes with Zell to the hospital to find out Zell his leg is broken. ,,The fair is in two days!” screams Zell ,,Now I can’t go!” Curlos tries to comfort him and tells him he will get a wheelchair and is willing to push him so he still can go to the fair. ,,I don’t WANT to go in a stupid boring wheelchair! A fair has to be fun, with decorations and games and everything! Not me just sitting in a wheelchair seeing others having fun……I just have to accept I can’t go this year.”

Back in Lovetown Curlos can’t stop thinking about poor Zell….Zell is the one who always looks forward to the fair the most and now he can’t go?? Zell and not going to the fair is NOT an option decides Curlos, there has to be a way to help to get Zell to the fair and let him have a good time. He borrows a wheelchair and starts thinking…What if I find all the flowers that grow in Lovetown, decorate the wheelchair with them so it doesn’t look so boring anymore. Zell loves flowers so that must be something he likes but it must me a surprise so that night Curlos is up all night long to find every little flower there is to decorate the wheelchair.
The next day he tells all his friends what happened. He tells about Zell his accident, the decorated wheelchair and him wanting Zell to have a nice day. Everyone helps to get the wheelchair even less boring and decorate it with drawings, little flags and happy faces. ,,Well, one thing is for sure, Zell can’t say it’s boring anymore.” Tells Curlos his friends and they all went to sleep after a busy day because the next day the fair will start!

Zell is in his bed thinking about last years fair. It was great! He enjoyed it so much and the more he thinks about it the more he gets sad with the idea of not being able to go this year. Then he hears the bell, there is someone at the door. ,,Come on in, the door is open!” Yells Zell from his bed. ,,Are you still in bed?? Come on, get dressed! You have a fair to go to!” Before Zell stands Curlos with the decorated wheelchair. ,,You can’t say it’s boring can you?” Zell his eyes get big while he looks at all the decorations. ,,Did you do that?......For me??” ,,We all helped, all villagers in Lovetown, there can’t be a fair without you.” Smiles Curlos at Zell.

And of course, Zell can’t say his friends didn’t do their best and he hops in the wheelchair and comes to the fair.
At the fair is music, fun and laughter and seeing everyone have fun even makes Zell smile a little and the idea of his friends going trough all this trouble for him makes him smile even more.
At the edge of the fair is a little tent with a sign in front of it “future telling and other miracles” it says. ,,Do you want to go……I’m a little scared of people who claim they can tell the future.” Confesses Zell to Curlos. Still they are curious and enter the tent. In the tent they see a woman who greets them and asks them to sit down. ,,I can feel you have a great friendship between the two of you, you are willing to help each other out wherever possible and you know?......The power of friendship is so strong it can even make magic happen.” The friends look at each other with disbelieve. ,,Magic? What kind of magic? The magic where a rabbit comes out of a hat? The magic where people cut a woman in half?” The fortune teller stand up and tells Zell and Curlos she is serious. ,,What is your biggest wish Curlos?” While Curlos wonders how she knows his name he answers:,,I just want Zell to be okay again so that he can enjoy the fair like he did last year.” ,,And that my friend..” says the fortune teller ,,is the power of friendship. Not wishing for yourself but always wanting to help a friend in need. What I have here is a magic star, it just looks like paper but if you both hold it the energy of your friendship will make every wish come true, try it.” Zell and Curlos both touched a side of the star which suddenly started to shine over Zell his broken leg. The cast around it disappears. ,,I…….I don’t feel pain anymore….I can even stand on it again!” The next moment the two friend stand at the entrance of the fair again, the little tent wasn’t there anymore, the wheelchair wasn’t there anymore and Zell his leg was healed. Both Zell and Curlos had a great day at the fair, they enjoyed every moment of it. They entered a contest where they could decide the new name of the fair and they didn’t have to think about that name; it would be the “Friendship and Fun Fair” Because they learned that day, there can’t be fun without friendship.
