Episode 02 Battoru: Akira vs. Hitoe

The first week went by quickly, and there's only one more week until the cards go on sale! What kind of battle happened in the second week?
We tried very hard to get the atmosphere of the card shop right. There was also the location of the Akira and Hitoe fight. Akira completely got rid of all the cards in Hitoe's hand (hand destruction) as well as psychologically tormented her. Hitoe fell apart...

Akira vs Hitoe: Blue vs Green

I'll go over the key points of the battle once again.
Hitoe went first. The first scene that is shown is her second turn.

Each LRIG has her own "something" to show their level.
In Midoriko's case, it's the markings on her forehead.
Hitoe is very aggressive here. Midoriko has Grown to level 2. This is the board setup at the time.

She banishes one Swallow, and Midoriko deals 1 damage. But then Akira gets her turn...

>I'm a bit scared, so I'll have you discard one card. TOO BAD!
Her card, TOO BAD, does not let you choose exactly what card to target.

She then starts to mentally attack Hitoe.
Hitoe starts to waver here.
Hitoe's turn passes, and we're back to Akira.
Sparrow which is Downed is hit by a SIGNI effect. It's frozen solid!

Freeze!
Still, this was mostly done just to attack Hitoe's mind. Here favorite is this one:

>Arts, cost 3
>Timing: Main Phase
>Pick a number. Look at the opponent's hand, and discard all SIGNI of that level.

A terrifying Arts that can see people's desires (it only works on Selectors).
It's an Arts that can discard all the SIGNI of a level you specify.

>It's written all over her face!
She was forced to discard two level 4 Iguru cards.
Hitoe didn't have that many level 4 cards in her deck to begin with.
Her hand destruction at this point threw her into despair.
After that, Hitoe could only end her turn without summoning any more SIGNI (from the despair).
Although she held a Servant D (Guard) in her hand, she was defeated without even using it.

>4 damage all at once!

Blue has the ability to control the cards in both your and the opponent's hands.
Green can Enercharge and power up their cards.
Power up your cards if your Enerzone has N more cards than the opponent's! There are many cards like that.

>Mi-ke
>Continuous: If your Enerzone has 2 more cards than the opponent's, this card gets +5000 Power.

In WIXOSS, you draw two cards during your Draw Phase, so even if you face Hand Destruction you can still form a plan and counterattack.

Interesting note at the bottom: "Eternal Girl" is written 夢限少女 "mugen shoujo". However, the kanji for 無限 are different. While it's usually written "no limit", Eternal is written as "dream limit" here.
