- This is regarding 1615-AB92 Rule that has been in Proposed Rule stage for the last few years.
- Request you to pass the rule as I would like to highlight few statistics
- 1) Majority of H4 spouses are educated and qualified (majority of them are women and indirectly is a Woman’s Rights issue). They are not allowed to show their talent in their area of specialization as H4 visa don't allow them to work.
- 2) Although a visa to the US is a privilege, it is a pity that a visa in the 21st century is so curtailing. H4 is a visa that allows one to stay in USA and be unproductive.I think it should rightly be dubbed as the “Golden Cage” visa.
- 3) The fears of taking over jobs from US citizens and permanent residents is never the case as this is not outsourcing and are competing for jobs here locally. Infact many H4 visa people are talented enough to create jobs in the field of fashion, interior design etc.
- 4) The fact that there is no movement in green card dates makes the H4 talent go waste and adds more pressure on the spouse to leave USA. This is a real fact and actually a waste of talent. I have know people who have moved to countries like Australia, Netherlands who provide immediate or timely green cards.
- 5) All H1 B spouse are legally doing the hard work and paying taxes on time.Its time USA recognize these talents and do something for such a honest community
- This rule is very important to every one and many are waiting for this to happen. This is the right time.
