We’ve been exploring the rest of Finn’s sanctum and found some interesting things. Rooms created to store artifacts and keep intruders out. One room was covered in anti-magic runes, another seemed created to expunge any kind of disease from whatever was placed inside the chamber. While the firebath was nice, we probably should have heeded the warning that it was trying to keep us out. The following room had artefacts in it that were evil and horrible: a skull that emitted a fear aura, a necklace that summoned demons, a cauldron that spawned oozes, and an urn full of some sort of plague.
We accidentally released the plague, though of course whoever built this place, possibly Finn or someone preceding him, thought of this, and the cleansing room destroyed any remains of it. We took the rest of the items however, as we did not want to leave them without a guardian.
There was a room that seemed like it was here maybe before even Finn was. It enhanced all of our ‘Hero’ abilities somehow. I can only fathom the magic used to make such an altar. There was also a shrine to Foteea that seemed to respond to us, though it was a puzzle to acquire a key. The statue was so beautiful though. There was really nothing to note in the rest of the place other than a trap that spun an entire room around in a circle at a high speed. After that, we headed back to the village, where I now sit in the comfort of my bed.
