Fall of the Black-Gate Empire!
	ST. LOUIS- The infamous criminal David Newgate, has been brought to justice. He was arrested today on multiple accounts of smuggling, racketeering, extortion, drug trafficking, and tax evasion.
	“The Newgate crime syndicate has long been a cancer upon our nation. I’d call them leeches or fleas, but that’d be an insult to those creatures. They looked at our struggle against the Ottoman hordes, and they only saw a way to line their own pockets!” Officer/Sister Kaydria Wardrip of the Special Tactics Division, said to reporters. “I’m also sorry to say that a good deal of people who had trust placed in them betrayed that trust. David Newgate might rival the Snake of Eden, with all the venomous poison in his words and the temptations that he offered. There will be MANY more arrests coming. This is righteous judgement, vested upon the wicked!” Officer Wardrip then began a public sermon about temptation and prudence. Fellow members of the STD explained that this was typical of Sister Wardrip’s behavior.
	David Newgate is set to be tried later this week.

Gate-Crashes At His Own Party!
	ST. LOUIS- The trial of crime syndicate leader, David Newgate, has concluded. While the arrests and trials of the rest of the Newgate Syndicate are still ongoing, Newgate himself has been found guilty on all charges.
	The trial devolved when David Newgate, in the middle of being cross-examined, went into a violent fit. He swore at the judge, jury, the prosecutor, and the court-appointed attorney that was defending him. As the guards were restraining him, David Newgate made several homophobic slurs, and swore that he would see ‘the traitors’ all dead. He was then removed from the courtroom and the trial continued in his absence. He was found guilty on all charges after only ten minutes of deliberation.
	“It’s odd.” Sgt. Sean Huckspry of the Special Tactics Division said when he spoke to our reporter. “David Newgate, is scum. The STD knows for a fact that the Newgates have skeletons in their closet. Murders, beatings, and we’re DAMN sure that they were selling to the Ottomans, so put treason down there as well. But none of that showed up in court, just all that legal and money mumbo-jumbo! The STD had evidence, still do! The court just didn’t have the balls to go through with it. They took the ‘easy win.’ David Newgate deserves to be shot, not just simply locked up. However, they’re all but throwing away the key. I’m calling this a win.”

Owen Holdings opens second paper mill.
	LITTLE ROCK- Ulysses Owen was on sight today as he personally oversaw the first printing of ‘Victory!’ at the newest site of Owen Paper & Printing. Owen is the CEO of Owen Holdings, mostly known for its St. Louis myco-paper mill and distribution. The Herald itself takes pride in being printed on Owen newsprint.
	“Mr. Owen is a man who believes in British-America, and it’s people.” Alexander Smith, Owen spokesperson. “He believes in investing in those people, and we are certain that this new mill will bring jobs, prosperity, and spread the good word…whatever that word may be.”
	Mr. Owen, known for being a very private man, declined to speak to this reporter.
