The Guard Commanders of New Luno are the remnants of the guard fleet that watched over the colony of Luno that were to terraform a promising moon to grow food. When the Threat arrived there was no time to dissemble the environmental domes where most of the metal for Luno was invested but the grown food and water were readily transported. As a military vessel Martial Law is in effect and the civil officers that were able to escape on SS Gerris report to Guard Captain John Morris and are honorary officers to better administer resource distribution and recycling. As a guard vessel propulsion may be lacking propulsion but the phaser banks of the Gerris are no laughing matter. Hoping to expand his votes and military to ensure the power in the DCS is in the hands of competent hands John Morris devising ambitious plans for collecting more ship votes.
