OpKurobas: Message to Angel in Mourning

Recently, it has been brought to our attention that somebody calling themselves "The Reaper in Mourning" has sent a series of threatening letters to people, events, and locations based around the comic book series "Kuroko no Basket".

The main target of the Reaper's threats is Fujimaki Tadatoshi, creator of the series, as well as fan comic events based around his work. The Reaper's justifications and motivations for these threats are as unimportant as they are incomprehensible. Their excuses for threatening the public are equally laughable.

Under normal circumstances, this would not involve Anonymous, and we would be content to leave this in the hands of the police. However, the Reaper's behaviour has had several unforgivable consequences.

The threats against private fan comics have resulted in cancellation of events in the past. Now, due to threats against the Winter Comic Market, all fan comics related to Kuroko no Basket have been banned, and there is even some question as to whether or not the Comic Market can continue in the future.

We do not blame the Comic Market for taking the safety and security of its guests seriously, and we do not advocate any action against them. We do, however, deplore their decision. By capitulating to these threats, they have legitimized this tactic and have opened the door to future, similar attempts at censorship through threats and violence.

But as for the Reaper in Mourning, we will address you directly. You have claimed in statements that you made these threats because you knew of no other way to contact Fujimaki, and that we should be angry at him rather than you. You will soon come to realize how foolish you are to believe this would ever happen.

We do not care why you have made these threats. In the end, whatever your justifications, you have caused mass censorship of creative ideas, and that cannot be forgiven.  From now on, you are a target of Anonymous.

Every effort will be made to see you exposed and brought to justice. Should you choose to follow through on your intent to end your life or otherwise evade capture, then we will instead work to ensure that your campaign to censor Fujimaki, his work, and his fans ends in failure.

Censorship of any type cannot be tolerated, regardless of its source or its target. Angel in Mourning, you should have expected us.
