  1. The first step of the first Phase of Danarium's restoration would begin today, and the first task force made good time what with Stannis' absurd speed, somehow managing to keep up. When they finally arrived, the destruction of the streets and general landscape were quite severe, being that the city had barely managed to survive two, if not three assaults in the past ten years.
  2.
  3. The citizens ventured around wearily, most wondering why they were even there, or what hope there was left for the city, though a part of them still dreamt of the day of its restoration, else why would they still be there?
  4.
  5. Quite damaged.
  6. I am ruined.
  7. Oil here...
  8. Some assistance?
  9.
  10. Naturally, the words of the earth shared the general dark mood of the patrons, but that is exactly what Ersa intended to fix, venturing over to the residential area to begin the first repairs.
  11.
  12. "Alright, Avion. When I fill the craters, I need you to use your nature magic to restore the grass and plant life where it belongs. I can replace the cobblestones myself, so just focus on the yards and such for now."
  13. (Ersa Avharain)
  14.
  15.
  16. Avion Godric: <*totally wasn't wearing goggles to resemble his big sisters family fashion <3 *>
  17. Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain: <*Totally isn't wearing them to resemble the other siblings either <3*>
  18.
  19.
  20. Stannis was probably pushing himself to make the journey here, however such things weren't of neccessary notice when combing over everyone's effort upon arrival. Good will usually trumped his own well-being, it only being natural that the ookami prepared to do some heavy lifting in hopes of forgetting about the fact that he did come out of the war significantly weaker in regard to health.
  21.
  22. "Ahh. . . I should have known I'd want to help.." Scratching his head, the ookami could only shuffle about in his casual attire. An occassional glance towards the others would then mark his consistent awareness of who was where, and just how much would be done until everyone was ready to go.
  23.
  24. So. . . in short, the ookami's consensus would be confided in the act of quicky transporting materials and the like where they were needed. Well, except for the moments where he occassionally found a clearing to lie flat on his belly for a while. He was totally trying his hardest though!
  25. (Stannis)
  26.
  27.
  28. Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain: *looks around* ...Ersa? Scylla can try to copy Ersa again for earth magics to help, yes? Or should she just focus on doing smaller stuff like rebuilding or moving stuff?
  29. Ersa Avharain: Er...if you can, you're welcome to. If you're unable to, then I suppose you can keep watch with Stannis.
  30. Ersa Avharain: There are a surplus of those that would take advantage of Danarium's poor state of affairs.
  31. Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain: *Nods, going over to hold her hand unless Ersa puleld away, her palm feeling sticky and clammy like her original mimic body*
  32. Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain: ...*sighs* Yep. Scylla too weak now... *smiles a little grimly with a sigh, before backing off and nodding*
  33. Following Ersa and the others throughout Valmasia on to the once graceful land of Danarium, where they would find many craters, possibly some bodies, some dried up blood here an there and the waters within the park, probably filled with blood and tar.
  34.
  35. He took a gaze off to the horizon wondering why it had to happen to his own home city. A frown was born from it all, he didn't know what to say about it other than agreing to Ersa that he will use his nature magic to bring up tree's and plants from the ground she fills up with earth.
  36.
  37. A fitting sight for a child? Neigh..
  38.
  39. "Sis..Why do people have to fight..Why must blood be poured?.." he asked as he first looked around..There was no sorrow..no happiness..Just death from the things he saw today..Maybe this is what his mother meant <To find out what emotion you thrive off..then figure out what other emotion surrounds you..> he could tell that it was simply hate from the looks of things..
  40.
  41. Avion knew he had to pull himself together..He was just a child, but this was something he had to see, however it wasn't just the sight, but the memories of the events that happend in Frostvale with Judeal. Avion soon summoned his vines of nature to assist him in the rebirth of Danarium, he first wrote the runes on the ground to enhance the mana placed within them, he wrote these runes with a beam of water and cosmic energy.
  42.
  43. Soon after the vines went from their first basic stage of development, they began to twist into the figure of a human with one arm while the other arm was un-twisted vines, they all had ONE similar rune on their forehead , this was something he picked up in his studied, the runes to command his talents and enhance them . These Vine-People will help with the plants by setling themselves into the dirt if the empty space is too much, thus spreading plant life from themselves.
  44.
  45. If it was not too much, they'd used their un-twisted vine arms to plant spores within the ground for the growth of grass or plants, simle stuff. While Avion was the engine to all of this and mana supply , he shrouded himself with the light of the cosmos.
  46. (Avion Godric)
  47.
  48. Scylla, shrugging and unable to really utilize the earth magic and definatly not one for mastery of nature, simply got around to hurrying around the place, cleaning up things such as loose objects, placing benches back in their 'rightful' place if there was one, and more... All whilst keeping an eye incase something like a yokai ran around out here. She heard stories... and wasn't willing to lose her friends and brother here. She passed by as she moved aside a set of limbs it seemed, decaying away, towards a corner she was using mostly as a dump for now, hearing his question.
  49.
  50. "Lots of things, one of those many things that has lots of answers because there are different fight things. Mnar likes doing fights that don't end up risking others much, for example... others fight over disagreements and arguments." she remarked, thinking back to what Elysium was mentioning, and the way Hestya got into fights.
  51.
  52. "...Others fight over power or stuff they want...", thinking upon the cause of this whole battle being the king apperantly wanting some wish, some other rumor she heard and wasn't sure if it was fully possible. "...Others to prove themselves or make themselves known...", just as Elysium foguht with Stannis to prove he could defend the family.
  53.
  54. "...Or to just simply help and defend others so they don't have to fight, yes." she said, looking to Ersa with a happy smile... and then a sigh. Ersa had grown... far stronger, far faster than Mnar had... she risked everything to progress like this... and Scylla really wished Ersa would take a break, but that was unlikely. And, probably risky... as much as she wanted Ersa to.
  55.
  56. "...Lots more things Scylla thinks too, but... too many reasons for Scylla to think or know, yes..." she muttered, stopping her run around fora moment to look to Avion and Ersa... watching them work simply with a smile... and considering how she herself was. Perhaps... a parasite too? No longer a small kid, so no longer can say needing to be... perhaps she never needed it ever. Yet she still could not do much despite what effort she tried...
  57.
  58. ...Oh well, back to trying anyway, as she continued to run along and do what little she could to get things out of Ersa and Avion's way.
  59. (Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain)
  60.
  61. Araceon had begun gathering his team together, it was going to take a lot of effort to defeat a Gorgonist, but Araceon knew what was at stake if the town wasn’t saved. With the recruitment of Ionna, Araceon made his way to find Stannis the ookami, A young Maverick of speed and wind. As he reach the remains of Danarium, a city that sees ruin all too often. He looked around the streets as the citizens with the backing of the regime made their efforts to rebuild the city once again......
  62.
  63. “Hello Stannis, I have a small proposition for you, this is going to be a dangerous mission, but I know how much you love danger haha.”
  64. (Araceon Rei)
  65.
  66. The group made their way to the center of the residential area, the procedure going as follows.
  67.
  68. Ersa would venture to damaged land, craters and the like, and repair them through means of her earth mastery, beckoning to the disgruntled earth mana to fill itself as a pool fills with water, or a balloon inflates with air. Elanorwen would assist in the same fashion, the words of the earth singing songs of praise as they went along.
  69.
  70. I can help.
  71. Let us help them.
  72. Thank you, Fae-kin.
  73. We are restored.
  74.
  75. When the patches of earth were restored, Ersa would ask the young nature magi, Avion, to perform the task of restoring the plantlife, marveling as the vines dutifully did their job, spreading seeds and spores throughout the soil, ensuring future growth.
  76.
  77. Throughout their venture, Ersa couldn't help but notice shady individuals lingering on the outskirts of their work area, citizens seeming to steer clear of these figures. Considering its continuous destruction, there was no surprise that some unlawful groups would make the devastated city their base of operations.
  78.
  79. Would a problem arise?
  80. (Ersa Avharain)
  81.
  82. Avion nods his head , sending forth his vine people as mentioned before, they will spread their spores, some even sacrificing themself to make the craters that were way too big, into areas filled with plant life. The young Godric was happy to see the vine people coming to an intended use for a better good aside just fighting and defending attacks.
  83.
  84. He saw the group of Shadow folk.. What will they do? There was one circling the group, trying to be sneaky with it as though he were simply watching, they might even appear to be Sin woreshippers, people who have grown attached to the power of the Sin god and managed to survive but wish to have that power once again , but without their god they can only contribute to him or her right?
  85.
  86. SUDDENLY! One of the pactmen of the shady tossed a rock at their general direction! Were they attacking?! Some ran towards them in anger! As though fighting would bring back their god if this was even accurate! Unlike Oscuri these guys seemed depraved out of their minds for the blessing of the Sin.
  87.
  88. Avion looked at the others, wondering what they should do about this, if this were to so happen, how will they all react. How will this turn of events play out? Protective of his sister, he stood guard of her. His vine people stood by him with thorns coming out their bodies, of course this costed him a good deal of mana, he was the source of their reserves either way, like how a human would depend on a star for cosmic energy. He was acting as a miniture star for his vine people.
  89.
  90. IF ONLY THEY HAD MINDS OF THEIR OWN!
  91. (Avion Godric)
  92.
  93. Scylla continued to get to work in moving along objects, and brushing them all along aside still, saving other objects or things like benches or the like from their craters before they were re-filled up, or lifting objects to the road and back as the plant life was re-settling in and allowing it to grow properly, before moving the bench or sign or table or whatever else along back into their original place.
  94.
  95. And all the while, just keeping a curious eye on the shady sort of individuals, having gotten good at noticing such things, if only because that was effectively how she used to be, staying back and watching the world, learning and observing... though, she no longer was so young that she wasn't aware that they might not have their best intentions in mind, who knew...
  96.
  97. Well, the answer was set once they 'attacked' at them with a thrown rock, and defensively standing by Avion as well, a hand grabbing at ehr weapon though not drawing it with a bit of a sigh... she really was hoping it would all turn out peacefully. But unlikely now, that all of this stuff was happening... though, being close to Avion felt... wrong. As if she would be sick... that similar sort of response of her body from his magic. Regaurdless, she stood beside him ready to block or bat away anything they would throw at them, or at the worst move Avion aside or take the hit for him... she darted a glance back to Ersa, more to see how she was planning on reacting to all of these people though... and incase by some miracle, something was to ambush her. Though, that was highly unlikely at this point for someone like Ersa.
  98. (Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain)
  99.
  100. Stannis was probably the least capable fight out of them all, his current return to the scene only provoking the sort of reaction where he'd sit and observe, his hand upon Murasama in case something were to break out beyond simple rock throwing. If harrassment was the case, then it wouldn't be too much effort to thwart their plans with the use of his magic.
  101.
  102. All of the ookami's decisions lied solely upon the act of assisting them where it was needed. As he was now, it'd only become a burden for them to protect him from whatever came his way. So for now, as much as he hated it, the ookami would play the role of support and recieve orders as specified.
  103. (Stannis)
  104.
  105.
  106. A rock was thrown. Of all things, a rock. It was somewhat comical, considering the situation. While it should have continued a straight path to hit whomever the intended target was, it sailed far past that, landing in a small patch of land that was filled, save for one spot, where it fell onto as if it were the key to a lock, and subsequently dissolved into dirt.
  107.
  108. As for the shady individuals, as they stepped forward, they sank into the earth as if it were instantaneous quicksand, buried up to their necks. The young Avharain stood, approaching the offenders with a relatively calm expression, humming a tune of unkown origin.
  109.
  110. When she reached them, she was surprised to find that they weren't exactly criminals, so much as they were disgruntled residents and teenagers. They shouted insults at the woman, asking if she had done enough, how being a dog of the Empire felt, and if they had returned to finish the job.
  111.
  112. A deep frown formed on her face, realizing now that the people had grown skeptical and hopeless with regard to any form of outside help, content to solve things on their own, if only to avoid more interference that always eventually meant Danarium's destruction in the end. As the trapped citizens rose up one by one, Ersa turned back to her teammates.
  113.
  114. "I think this is enough for today. A good portion of the residential landscape has been restored. In the following months we'll finish things up here and then move to the markets, alright? Job well done. Be sure not to leave anything behind."
  115.
  116. A pained expression had planted itself plainly on her features.
  117. (Ersa Avharain)
  118.
  119.
  120. Scylla... actually looked rather mad, glaring to the crowd... letting go of her weapon, but going over towards Ersa, glaring at the crowd, clenching her fists... her stare towards them started to make her eyes glow, and she even started to emit the sort of telltale lightning that Euphemia would always end up producing in anger... taking a step towards the group... before looking back to Ersa, and seeing her pained expression... the anger melting away into a sad expression that ended with Ersa being hugged by Scylla tightly.
  121.
  122. "They shouldn't say such things like that... Ersa wants to help. Doesn't deserve to be yelled at like this... Scylla wants to punch them, even if we're helping them... but won't, just because Scylla wouldn't be the one to get in trouble, Ersa might instead..." she muttered, hugging onto Ersa tightly. "Ersa doesn't deserve to be called such things, yes." she said rather surely, dispelling the lightning from around herself as she went for the hug... and after about half a minute, or whenever Ersa would push her off, she instantly went back to glaring at the crowd... and reaching to hold onto Ersa's hand somewhat firmly, though her other hand balled and clenched into a tight fist as she gave a glare back...
  123.
  124. Deep down... a part of her wanted to actually tell Ersa they shoudn't bother doing this if others will treat Ersa like this. Wanted to punch and beat at every person that spat an insult at Ersa... but didn't... not out of kindness though. But on the note that she would just make things worse for Ersa if she acted out like this. They could hate Scylla for all she cared, but someone who worked as hard as Ersa did didn't deserve it, nor would Avion if they insulted him any... her eyes still didn't stop glowing a decent yellow glow, as any indication to this boiling anger. The not-so-faint depravity that was usually around her seemed to grow somewhat more potent... slightly with a tinge of wrath. Not nearly as so as the actual sin but... ever so slightly as such.
  125. (Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain)
  126.
  127. He nodded his head, being someone from Danarium, a young Noble at that because of his family linage , perhaps these folks would actually consider his words for what he has to say, stepping up to be next to Ersa, probably with Scylla aside him, the young Godric said.
  128.
  129. "She's not mean like how you people have been because of your fear! Fraidy cats! Some empire people are nice! If you took a moment to understand others like I do then things might be different! You're all just being fraidy cats and being mean because you can't think! You let your blades and conclusions to pointless fighting guide you!" words of a child with an innocent mind truly, and probably something someone else of noble status would say.
  130.
  131. He frowned upon the humans and other races that may of stood before them, he was pissed for the way they acted "You don't hurt the ones helping you! Dummies! " he continued . Some may be shocked at his words, most knew Avion for being the silent book worm when he was younger, always in the Melym tower with his relatives and in the Godric manor studying.
  132.
  133. "I'm a Danarian! Since birth!..Hurting me is like hurting the heart of our village...And yourselves.." he mentioned sadly. Maybe he'd get the village folk to help them out now that he has spoken some words that most silent danarium people would never say.
  134. (Avion Godric)
  135.
  136. Stannis wasn't one to particularly enjyo a battle of morale, and rights, his stance as an ookami that spent a majority of his life at least fronting him the experience to be involved many times. However, as interesting as such trivial matters could be, he steered clear. Having somewhat regret growing so tense before Ersa's demonstration of control on the situation, the ookami would step ahead a look of indifference serving his expression as he glanced at the others.
  137.
  138. "Hmnn.." The low tone of a hum sat comfortably within the confines of his throat, his choice on the matter of course irrelevant. Though, only because he felt no need to speak. Things would solve itself in a situation such as this one, be it through the persuasion of Avion and the others, or their eventual leave.
  139.
  140. Either way, today was a job well done.
  141. (Stannis)
  142.
  143. Indeed, the people were scared. And fear for some reason seemed to be the gateway to anger. When people were tired of being fearful, they tended to lash out on whatever was in reach, though primarily on those that wouldn't fight back. Having had her character verbally torn to shreds on more than a few occasions, Ersa was one such person who would not fight back.
  144.
  145. However, the words of Avion Godric had indeed reached the people, their fear and anger being replaced with looks of shame as they attempted to keep the high ground and remain with feelings of justification. They had justification, however. While not a direct agent of the Empire, Ersa indeed had been granted full authority over Danarium to aid in its reconstruction. A complete stranger had come into the homeland the diehard residents refused to leave, regardless of any disaster that might follow.
  146.
  147. They were completely loyal to the city, while Ersa herself had actually never seen Danarium when it wasn't in a state of disrepair, having never gone past the Black Gate until the war was over at ten years of age.
  148.
  149. Still, there was nothing else Ersa could do today, or rather, had it in her to do. Moments of weakness passed through her heart, wishing as well to abandon the endeavor entirely.
  150.
  151. That is, until, a small girl no older than the age of five approached her with a freshly grown flower, likely one of the Godric boy's own works. She said nothing, offering the flower that Ersa took gratefully, then smiled and walked away. The pacified woman smiled as well, determination filling her spirit once more. Indeed, they would leave for today, but one thing remained clear in the Avharain's mind.
  152.
  153. Danarium would be restored.
  154. (Ersa Avharain)
  155.
  156. Scylla looked down to see the girl giving the flower... smiling a little to this... sighing and looking around... while there were ruined buildings and objects like lamps and signs were barely still present, perhaps bent or broken in places, the city itself certainly was loooking... more complete than before, lacking the destruction and craters it did before... and looking down... at best just quietly muttering under her breath. Perhaps those she was beside would hear as she let go from Ersa, but perhaps not...
  157.
  158. "...Ersa is brave and thoughtful and giving... Avion is smart and wise... Mnar is still just a monster she guesses." she mumbled... before looking to Ersa having a smile back on her face, and smiling back, whispering even quieter under her breath, "...So long as they're happy at least, Scylla would mind less being a monster so long as they can be happy." she said. She could be happy even if others thought she was a monster, her only fear was that others may call her friends as such instead, and following along with Ersa to wherever they were headed... well, unless for some reason she was headed to Frostvale.
  159.
  160. Her friendship still wouldn't take her to likely death to the cold...
  161.
  162.
  163. (Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain)
  164.
  165.
  166. Simply he looked on over to Scylla first, he smiled and whispered "You're more human than most people I know." he said to his older sister but only for her ears was it intended . He followed them along to where they needed to go, after he would commanda final order to his vine people before their leave , it was for them to go into the open areas near the water .
  167.
  168. Why?
  169.
  170. The vine people planted themselves into the grass, they were spreading their most lively of spores in order to grow a series of crops, what sort of fruits would grow? It all depended on the desires of the user, so as a Danarian, Avion decided it would be best to plant the traditional danarium fruits and vegetables for the people.
  171.
  172. A small smile formed on his lips after the cosmic aura faded away. The child waved a goodbye for now.
  173.
  174. "When I come back, I'm gonna tell stories of my adventure like I promised! Hehe!" he said to those danarium villagers he knew and the children he went to phoenix academy with during the days of private tutoring for the youngins.
  175. (Avion Godric)
  176.
  177. Stannis wasn't too involved in the aftermath once things managed to calm down, the slow trace of his emerald hues falling upon Ersa, the smile which had been laid fresh upon her features seeming to invoke nothing but a stare of questionable attributes. "Ehh. . . ?" The slight part of his lips revealed sharp canines habitually; wild locks of red seeming to obstruct the sight of his own features as he questioned what it was he wanted to say exactly. A simple shrug of the shoulders, and the flow of his own steps would once again set him on the trail ahead, a slight air of agitation then seeming to loom about his head as he effectively silenced himself..
  178.
  179. As usual, the ookami's mind was probably shifting off to an entirely different world, something that had entirely dodged the subject of Danarium and its condition. However, as confused as Stannis had seemed in the face of his own, reserved questions, there was perhaps some happiness lingering within that suddenly detached demeanor of his.
  180. (Stannis)
  181.
  182. Leaving Danarium, the traveling party ventured back to the city of Byson. All things considered, not a horrible amount of progress was made. A fair portion of the residential area was mended, much of it coming from Elanorwen's prowess in both Earth and Nature magic, while the two human magi did their best as well.
  183.
  184. Due to the combined efforts of Stannis and Scylla, there were no additional disturbances other than the disgruntled protests of the remaining villagers, but there was a certain confidence that those residents would come to accept the support, if not contribute to the cause.
  185.
  186. Though the initial reactions of the frightened civilians stung, the words of the earth that resonated in Ersa's mind, along with the flower presented by the infant Danarian more than made up for the slow progress that was made. A total of a week and a half had passed, and the likely exhausted crew returned home.
  187.
  188. "Excellent work, everyone. I would ask for your aid in the coming months as well. With enough support and efforts, we could see the restoration of Danarium within the next five years. I would like your support especially, Avion. I haven't seen Danarium from before it's destruction, so I hope to restore your home to the way it was, if not better, yet without disturbing the nostalgic feel of specific structures."
  189.
  190. Progress was good.
  191. (Ersa Avharain)
  192.
  193. Stannis was probably out of the first to eventually give in to exhaustion and lie flat upon a bed of grass. He was always pushing himself, even in injury, and it showed. Whether or not this sped up the process of recovery was however unknown, as the ookami never particularly paid attention to intricate details such as that. However, there was something he had been meaning to ask for quite some time. Something that had typically roamed past the confines of his mind due to the war and such. Besides, it had been a long time as well.
  194.
  195. "Ersa, you wanted to talk to me about somethin' before? I never got back to you on that." They were honestly seperated during the war, and now was the time to ask -- considering that there was probably nothing else for him to do other than sit back, and begin resting once again.
  196.
  197. ZzZ.
  198. (Stannis)
  199.
  200. They made it back to Byson after their aid to Danarium, young Avion nods his head to the words of Ersa, he was indeed planning to go back and help out with the rest ! He was happy that he was even asked to come along to help restore his home village, he smiled because of it.
  201.
  202. "Anytime! Hehe!...Oh! That's right!..Um, let's see...See that big tree ! North of Byson central? That's what I wanna test my hypothesis on! " he pointed it out, it was a few feet behind Felicity, whatever sort of test he was gonna do.The people who disrespected that tree may learn better not to in the future.
  203.
  204. Asking for Ersa's permission to do such, since the tree is in or near central, it would be much simpler to gather what was needed to test on the tree rather than going all the way out to the forest. He saw that Stannis was resting, he waved a farewell to him despite the Ookami being asleep.
  205.
  206. Anywho! The tree was what he was after! He wanted to see if it'd be the same outcome with a tree like how it was with a minor plant!
  207.
  208. "My magic, I wanted to test it out on that tree over there..To see what effect it'll have." he performed the mighty sage nod.
  209.
  210. (Avion Godric)
  211.
  212. Scylla sighed a bit... simply stretching. Having, well, not fought, the girl's body was just as fine as it would be otherwise, hardly tired out, and noticing Stannis was now laying down to rest with a smile... and feeling like she should've said something, she would have carried him. She already carried Avion for some of the way here sometimes whenever he might have tired out, another person wouldn'tve been much for her...
  213.
  214. ...She did have to however, perhaps learn some Earth magic. Or something, perhaps using Elysium's gravity magic might be useful for just flattening or moving objects, he certainly was skilled at such things... she had to find him still. Hopefully he is okay... well, she'd ask around a bit later.
  215.
  216. Carrying on past that though, she simply wondered to herself if she was progressing enough... Stannis certainly was strong. Strong enough to not die in such dangerous situations, even if it ended up with him getting close to death so often... Avion didn't need be so much strong, more his powers were extensively useful, and he was smart and wise too, being able to calm down the crowd there... Scylla really wasn't much... she ran from home only to idle and try to learn to read in Tilandre, to which no success either...
  217.
  218. ...Lots of guilt and sad thoughts... well, the three with her right now though, she shouldn't frown. Nor would she give up on them just because she felt bad... so she ignored that little feeling with a content sigh and smile. "Right... Mnar will help best she can then, yes." she nodded, looking to Ersa. "So folks don't have to work themselves as hard, and it is better or easier than otherwise, yes... even if Scylla can't do too much."
  219. (Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain)
  220.
  221. Ersa nodded to Stannis, somewhat frowning, before looking to Avion and the tree he pointed to.
  222.
  223. "Ah? So it's within the village then? In that case I would prefer you do it with at least one Soldier ranked Aegis around, although should things go astray I suppose the town guard could also serve its purpose. Hm...provided no one gets viciously maimed, I suppose it would be a good experiment to add a bit of energy to Byson, yes? If anything should come up, I take full responsibility for any negative outcome. Best of luck, of course."
  224.
  225. She smiled warmly at the boy, figuring that upon his growth, or likely far before it, he would amount to a great many things. Turning now to Mnar, she would walk over and return the girl's embrace from back in Danarium.
  226.
  227. "Thank you for defending me, Mnar. You did more than enough. Sometimes I find it hard to considering that I'm not still alone in my efforts to accomplish things, yet you remind me time and time again that you are always by my side. Please continue to stand by me in the future as well."
  228. (Ersa Avharain)
  229.
  230. Scylla smiled... well, however minor it was, so long as Ersa asked and liked it, she'd stay and help. "Right... Mnar will keep doing that, yes." she said, hugging back with a smile, and lettting go once Ersa did... and looking over to the tree. She ws going to certainly stick to her beliefs and all, which was to try to help all she could... protect everybody, just as Ersa wanted to, however little she could do.
  231.
  232. Though, a small part of her... kind of feared what was going to happen, at least if she stuck around... looking to Avion and the tree curiously as to what would happen.... and maybe having to scurry away, she learned the hard way she didn't... react all too well to his special magic.
  233. (Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain)
  234.
  235. Byson Byson, something Trillie would never say she would miss -- but she did. Frostvale was fun for the most part, before being attacked by sinspawn and losing civilians by the thousands and such. But that didn't matter did it? Nope! All that mattered is that it forced them to evacuate her to the Isthmus. And she really didn't like that place. It reeked of cyclops stench and do-gooder white-haired Godrics and Mantols.
  236.
  237. Eck.
  238.
  239. But she was here, now, in Byson, where hopefully she didn't have to deal with that anymore. And who better to greet than her good old distant relative Ersa? Seeing as she came exhausted with a squad of known individuals -- friend and foe -- she leaped forth in an attempt to tackle-hug Ersa.
  240.
  241. "Ersa Ersa! Did you beat up that big dumb zombie? Was he mean? Did you kill him?"
  242.
  243. Already she was beginning with a barrage of questions. Oh how she loved to cater to annoyance!
  244. (Trillie L. Malpercius)
  245.
  246.
  247. Everything having been said and done, Ersa began to allow herself to succumb to the influence of the rabbit-furred blanket that had wrapped itself around her upon the death of the Spirit of Sloth, beckoning her to rest.
  248.
  249. A little girl?
  250. A foe, perhaps?
  251. She will make contact.
  252. Stop her?
  253.
  254. The Words of Earth speaking in her mind, Ersa turned around just before an earth wall formed, preventing the construction of the wall and receiving the hug in full force, smiling down at the girl who had initiated it. Relieved that the small girl hadn't smashed directly into raised earth, Ersa began to wonder what exactly she spoke of.
  255.
  256. A big dumb zombie? Her first thought was of Eutan, though the Gorgon wasn't undead. He was indeed mean, but her effort to kill him resulted in the death of a comrade. Perhaps Lin then? The zombified girl was, firstly, female, and secondly, had been killed by Eutan himself at the conclusion of the battle. So who...
  257.
  258. "Ah! You speak of Ulfdyr, then! Indeed, Trillie, the barbaric man did fall to my less-than-adequate power, but he was not slain, I'm afraid. Many rely on his crafts, though I will not hesitate to do so in the future. That being said, I'm very sorry for having left you in Frostvale. I was too angry after having fought two simpletons in a row, and wanted to leave as soon as possible. I promise it will never happen again. Are you well?"
  259. (Ersa Avharain)
  260.
  261.
  262. Well the fun seemed to be just beginning, he looked over to notice that a Trillie has appeared. He simply waved, he didn't wish to pick up a fuss with her right now, he looked over to the tree past her sister..Why couldn't Trillie be more like her sister, she's so much more likeable to him!
  263.
  264. He did what Ersa said and got one Aegis soldier to accompany him along this short experiement , leaving Scylla behind if she wished to stay, knowing what happend last time to the girl when he used such an art. He suggested to Ersa and the knight with him that they both stay back, this magic was risky and needed more practice, which was why he desired to do it alone.
  265.
  266. He sat down on his knee's after he had walked around the tree, this experiment wasn't going to take too long of course. But he first needed to set the runes for things to be stable just in case they were to get out of hand, the soldier stood with him just in case. Should the knight be worried? Yes.
  267.
  268. Only Avion knew what he wanted to test out, the runes that were around the tree were inscribed as -Restrict- if ever so needed, however , even if he was adept to such an art, it would take something else to support the runes, he figured he could use the grass or the air . Some runes like the ones in the street lights absorb the life force energy from bugs and little animal to keep the flames going. That's where Avion got the idea.
  269.
  270. And now for the tree, he would attempt to send forth some magical energy after a while of concetration of combining the cosmic aura and mana with himself and his own life force, as well as attempting to absorb the little bits of life around him to boost his potency with this art. His astral ambience soon turned into a new color, flickering a bright sky blue and light green, this magic was not mastered, he was simply testing the effect it would have in it's current state.
  271.
  272. But the desired outcome of this? He simply wanted the tree to move to his will by sending forth his own mana and a small portion of his natural lifeforce and bits of manipulated life forces from around him into the tree to give it more life than it should have, and as the attempt went on, would the try be successful in a series of multiple attempts?
  273.
  274. If he were to fail, it would be in the events of the boy being knocked away by his own magics, and a draining feeling from the imperfect use of this magic .For a short time period, he'd feel more drained than he's ever been.
  275.
  276. If it were to succeed in any of the attempts, the tree would indeed move and begin to shine a bit on the very surface of the bark a cosmic and life magic sort of light, remember this was all an attempt with magic that was not yet to be perfected! So if it were a success, that tree would have probably grown a bit more.. Eventually into bad news in the future, this was just a test! The most the tree would grow into is a tree that can swing it's branches at people with brute force perhaps.
  277. (Avion Godric)
  278.
  279. So he got lucky and was successful, the tree moved alittle! One branch went up and down to the ground as if it were testing it's own mobility.. Though it would probably not last for long, little Avion smiled to cherish the moment before the tree would then return to normal, it had extended t's branches like a blooming flower.
  280.
  281. This made him happy.
  282. (Avion Godric)
  283.
  284. Avion smiled , the aura was faint and still on his body but slowly going away, the Life magic aura, even though it was not finished, would take a while before it could un-shroud the user, probably something that will always be that way up to the point of perfection.
  285.
  286. He sreplied to Ersa in a cheerful mood " It worked! Hehe! The Tree actually moved! It went like, Wooshy! Woosh! And the soldier guy next to me was amazed tooo! " he said with a bright smile, the aura you would see around the Godric would be a light green and sky blue, like the astral ambience but with those colors, his eyes were also brighter as well we his skin.
  287.
  288. Soon his body and appearance were all back to normal, he took a deep breath of air though, because as soon as that aura was gone, so was his will to stand, it was that imperfect to where it would suck the user dry if not used correctly, Avion just had got lucky today, the dice god was with him. Really he wanted Trillie to go see the tree so that it could frighten her so that he could laugh the night away.
  289.
  290. "Hehe I'll be able to protect everyone from Death Magic destruction one day!" he declared before falling, his gogggles and face covered in grass from the fall and impact to the ground. He needed rest and time to refill his pool of mana. His aura from earlier was strong enough to make the grass under him seem like they were moving a bit like a wave motion without wind. The child was progressing as his mother would have wanted him to.
  291.
  292.
  293. ~Avion's Trees~
  294. ~The branches you can't resist~
  295. (Avion Godric)
  296.
  297. Stannis wasn't too sure how one could take the sight of Avion eating his fair share of greens. Scratching at his cheek the ookami would sort of glance from his spot at the whole 'ordeal'. "That's normal right?" He didn't seem to be too enthused about the idea of moving from his spot, the injuries he retained suggesting that it was best he sat still for a while longer to actually recover.
  298.
  299. Running back and forth, and being a hero was cool and all, but anything beyond the endless tasks he already filed out now would surely be both a physical and emotional bother. "Err. . . is that what happens when everything goes well?" A glance at Ersa, and it would be known then that this ookami in particular wasn't really focusing on the right thing at hand.
  300. (Stannis)
  301.
  302.
  303. Scylla smiled to how it seemed to work, though, she couldn't bring herself to be close to Avion... infact she stumbled back from it, and clenched her mouth and stomich.... it felt like she was sick, the only thing keeping her from running was noticing as it still was dissipating... she... hoped that this wouldn't be something she wouldn't be able to get used to... hardly hearing his explination...
  304.
  305. ...She gave a sigh in relief as the aura now faded... slumping against the tree... ugh, that stuff made her feel sick... like she would snap Avion's neck just to sto- No! Not that... just... it both frightened and pained her to be like that... pushing off the tree and forcing herself to stand 'normally', a bit wobbling in response to this energy... and sighing, nodding. "Scylla is hoping that you can, yes..." she said... part of her didn't want him to finish it...
  306.
  307. ...The other part knew that there was still good he could do... she just would have to stay far, far away as he got better at this... staying away from Avion still with a kind of unsure smile and nodding...
  308. (Scylla 'Mnar' Gorgwain)
  309.
  310.
  311. Seeing that things had gone well for the Godric boy and no one had been killed or even injured for the most part, save for Mnar's strange reaction toward the tree, Ersa smiled, giving the boy a thumb's up.
  312.
  313. "Excellent work, Avion! I'm sure you'll go far within the Aegis! Keep up the great work and I may even be able to make you State Magician. We don't really have one at the moment, or really any of the Magi-related positions. I wish you great success in the future. Although, I'm curious. What exactly do you intend for the final outcome of your research to be?"
  314.
  315. Despite what she had just witnessed, though honestly she hadn't seen much as she tended to Trillie's questioning, Ersa really didn't understand what had happened, why it happened, or if it was supposed to happen or not. But at the very least she was grateful that no one, including Avion, got hurt in the process.
  316.
  317. Although Mnar would likely need to keep her distance in the future.
  318. (Ersa Avharain)
  319.
  320. Avion was on the ground, the lively aura finally faded away from his being, his life force had returned to normal a long while ago. He tried picking himself up as he heard the veyr words he desired to hear, to become a State Magician, it was like a dream coming together in his own little reality, he then said what he wanted to do.
  321.
  322. "To make the world more connected with the Grand tree ..Hehe..My teacher made a star in Nostvale..I wanna make a Grand Tree of knowlege here...And the Jewel of a thousand runes.." the Godric spoke to Ersa, very tiredly.
  323.
  324. "Oh..And-- can you teach my friend Ariella the holy arts?..She wants to be an aegi---too.." he tried to sit down indian style , trying to catch both his breath and recover his reserves.
  325. (Avion Godric)
