  1. Hi there, and welcome to the 4chan Technology Boards /gcg/ - Graphics Cards General pastebin.
  2.
  3. Below you will find the Thread Template, Reviewer guides, etiquette when dealing with AMDeads and Nvidiots, explanations for our more specific content, and links to useful websites for purchasing advice. I have created this pastebin so that /gcg/ OP can continue without me at the curated quality:

  23. I'll be asking a few questions over the next few /gcg/s to make more guides within this pastebin. e.g. OEM guides and tier lists. Benchmarking software and websites

  28. >>>Reviewer Guide:
  29.
  30. Guides to reviewers. Which ones are shills. What they shill. Which ones are generally respectable for the truth, and which ones are actually useful:
  31.
  32. >AdoredTV of YouTube fame:
  33. If you're even slightly smart and have a shred of self respect, you will distance yourself from this idiot. Shilling was never so awful and transparent till this fool came along. If anyone mentions this person, or links a video of them, hide it and make sure to btfo the posting anon where possible. I don't care if you like AMD. AdoredTV is an idiot and his videos are sensationalist clickbait garbage.
  34.
  35. I'll populate more of this later.

  41. >>>Explanations behind the Three crowns:
  42.
  43. >Basically the crowns are within the realm of sensibility. The general rule is that only single chip cards are considered for positions, as well as single card setups. Crossfire and SLI scaling and performances' are fucking jokes. Dual chip cards are jokes. And cards in the realm of $1000 USD are jokes. Therefore, in context of today, the Pro Duo, Titan X, 295X2 are never considered fore the positions. They're almost never a good investment. And provide more problems than they solve for now. Maybe that'll change in 5 years.
  44.
  45. >Budget crown should only go to cards with the most excellent price/performance ration within the realm of $175-$250 USD. Anything below this is in the realm of destitute. Refer to logicalincrements.com. Anything above this is probably a poor recommendation in all honesty, and doesn't effectively inform people of what can be a budget oriented card.
  46.
  47. >Extra features are not generally considered as 'more points' to what the budget card is. Its only consideration is peer review, and fps performance in the majority of games. (i.e. GayWerks, TressFX, DirectSeX12 Async, Muh Linux compatibility, Mantle, Moar Tessellation (turn that shit down), or OEM features do not account for budget card consideration. These points would fall under /GCG/'s choice.)
  48.
  49. >The most recommended card as per anons on /g/ is the only consideration for /gcg/s choice. If everyone was recommending the 970, that would be the choice. Its not always the most sensible card to purchase. But generally, people would consider it the most satisfying card to purchase.
  50.
  51. >The most obvious choice for the Performance crown is the best performing card within the sensible cost bubble. The bubble is generally considered to be the $1000 mark. Titans don't fall under this category, as they're too fucking expensive, and are often outperformed in alot of tasks by their Ti counterparts anyways. And nor are DualChip cards, as SLI/Xfire scaling and performance has many drawbacks, and profiles are required for games to use the two chips.
  52.
  53. >Yes, you are entitled to scream that your 950/960 isn't the budget card. No, noone cares.
  54.
  55. >Used cards are great in some regions, but never considered for crowned positions.
