  5. [2015-04-29 21:21:03]<EchoesOfDeath> Finally the 3 of you gather by the entrance of the sealed south wing. Along with you comes Aegis, keeping a shotgun with her as well as holding a golf club.
  6. [2015-04-29 21:21:41]* Backlash raises a brow. "Ain't that a little excessive?"
  7. [2015-04-29 21:23:03]<EchoesOfDeath> "If you go well, I won't have to do a thing. This is just in case." Aegis says
  8. [2015-04-29 21:23:14]<Cambiance_> "Better safe than sorry, I guess."
  9. [2015-04-29 21:24:16]* Swift_Hurddle grips his axe in his teeth, troting lightly on his hooves and getting himself ready, blood flowing and mentally phyked up.
  10. [2015-04-29 21:25:14]* Backlash shrugs and stays in the back. "Now, remember, guys, we ain't tryin' to start any fights. Jus' play it safe..."
  11. [2015-04-29 21:25:42]* Cambiance_ grins. "Ah, where's the fun in that?"
  12. [2015-04-29 21:26:08]<EchoesOfDeath> There is a gate, and a set of thick metal doors behind it, muffling the faint moaning that echoes beyond. Beyond there there are ravenous monsters who can deliver a destiny worse than death. Beyond there are ponies who can't be helped. And through them, your duty.
  13. [2015-04-29 21:27:26]<EchoesOfDeath> "All you need to do is get to the workshop on the other end, so we can try to retrieve all tools we can. We don't know how many of them are there." Aegis says, passing a set of keys to Backlash.
  14. [2015-04-29 21:29:15]* Swift_Hurddle cracks his neck sharply, "Not enough to slow us down"
  15. [2015-04-29 21:29:21]<Backlash> "Straight shot? ...We got a map or somethin'?" She took the keys and clutched them close to her chest.
  16. [2015-04-29 21:30:47]<EchoesOfDeath> "Straight ahead. Like all the other wings. There are many open cells along the way, so watch your backs."
  17. [2015-04-29 21:32:25]* Swift_Hurddle Steps forward to lead the way
  18. [2015-04-29 21:32:47]* Cambiance_ fiddles with her machete.
  19. [2015-04-29 21:32:49]* Backlash gulps. "Alright..." She brushes past Swift_Hurddle and unlocks the door.
  20. [2015-04-29 21:33:06]* Swift_Hurddle stands ready by the door
  21. [2015-04-29 21:36:05]<EchoesOfDeath> The doors click open. The Atrium behind you is completely empty and silent. Aegis closes the gate behind the group. All that remains is opening the doors and moving ahead.
  22. [2015-04-29 21:37:33]* Backlash takes a deep breath and pushes them open - slowly, damn light pegasus bodies - with her shoulder.
  23. [2015-04-29 21:38:02]* Swift_Hurddle inspects the atrrium as he trots into its center, keeping an ear out for trouble
  24. [2015-04-29 21:38:54]* Cambiance_ moves along with the others. "Keep eyes out everypony."
  25. [2015-04-29 21:40:44]<EchoesOfDeath> The door starts opening slowly through Backlash's efforts, but it becomes harder to move little after.
  26. [2015-04-29 21:41:42]* Swift_Hurddle redacts everything eforever
  27. [2015-04-29 21:41:46]* Cambiance_ helps Backlash with the door.
  28. [2015-04-29 21:42:30]* Swift_Hurddle watches the door with axe ready just in case
  29. [2015-04-29 21:43:52]* Backlash frowns, straining slightly. "Ain't there another way in? This door's freakin' stuck..."
  30. [2015-04-29 21:44:38]<Cambiance_> "I could bash it done with my unicorn magic. If, you know, I actually could"
  31. [2015-04-29 21:45:33]<EchoesOfDeath> The door loosens as an infected pokes his head through the opening, snapping its jaws
  32. [2015-04-29 21:45:51]* Swift_Hurddle swings axe down on its head
  33. [2015-04-29 21:46:02]* Backlash gave Cambiance_ a quizzical, open-mouthed look. "Wait, you-?" She shrieks and recoils from the infected.
  34. [2015-04-29 21:48:26]* Swift_Hurddle buries his axe head deep into its cranium, wedgeing it into the infecteds brain pan. Wiggling the axe free with a slight grunt of effort Swift lets it flop lifelessy to teh ground as he looks around for alternative ways of entering, "One down...think there is a smarter way of doing this?"
  35. [2015-04-29 21:50:19]* Cambiance_ grimaces. "Ugh. pleasant."
  36. [2015-04-29 21:50:38]<EchoesOfDeath> Aegis has her club ready to strike. "Sorry kids, but there are only two entrances. The atrium one, and the yards one. The yards attract diving freaks so this is our choice."
  37. [2015-04-29 21:52:09]* Backlash was too shocked to give Aegis a disapproving glance for the remark about pegasi. Instead, she opted to take a deep breath and step back. "I can't... I can't go in front. It's too much..."
  38. [2015-04-29 21:52:57]* Swift_Hurddle nods and steps forward, inserting his axe in the gap and using it as a lever to force it open. "Watch my back"
  39. [2015-04-29 21:53:52]* Backlash nods back, appreciative for her somewhat-bloodthirsty friends.
  40. [2015-04-29 21:54:22]* Cambiance_ frowns. "Come on Backlash. we got tgis."
  41. [2015-04-29 21:58:59]* Swift_Hurddle Groans and swings the door open before swinging his axe back up into a ready position, "For sure"
  42. [2015-04-29 21:59:18]* Swift_Hurddle takes a look inside and fights off the desire to add that it was her idea to do this
  43. [2015-04-29 22:02:50]<Backlash> "Yeah, I know, I jus'... didn't think it'd be so intense, y'know? I hate fightin'."
  44. [2015-04-29 22:03:48]* Cambiance_ twirls her machete in her magic. "I guess it's just a reality now. Better get used to it."
  45. [2015-04-29 22:08:57]<EchoesOfDeath> Dark blood pools under the fallen infected. The hallway ahead is covered in old bloodstains, brown and black, weakly illuminated by the dust covered skylights. A few cell doors are open and dark inside, some on the ground floor and some over the stairs, who conceal corners here and there. All of you can spot shapes inside some of the nearest cells. The further ones are harder to see.
  46. [2015-04-29 22:09:12]<EchoesOfDeath> About a dozen doors further, Swift_Hurddle and Backlash see a trail of red blood, going into a cell about halfway the hallway.
  47. [2015-04-29 22:10:06]* Cambiance_ frowns at the red blood. "Should we go look at that?"
  48. [2015-04-29 22:10:25]* Backlash whispers, "Guys, you see that? ...Ain't the creatures bleed black, right?"
  49. [2015-04-29 22:11:24]* Swift_Hurddle stealthfuly moves ahead towards the cell
  50. [2015-04-29 22:11:59]* Cambiance_ creeps along.
  51. [2015-04-29 22:12:01]<EchoesOfDeath> Aegis looks concerned, but stays silent
  52. [2015-04-29 22:13:49]* Backlash takes to the stairs, on the side that doesn't have the bloodtrail cell
  53. [2015-04-29 22:18:58]<EchoesOfDeath> Swift_Hurddle and Cambiance quietly make their way following the blood trail. It leads to a dark cell.
  54. [2015-04-29 22:19:34]* Cambiance_ lights her horn.
  55. [2015-04-29 22:21:14]<EchoesOfDeath> Meanwhile Backlash on the walkways follows their rhythm, passing by closed and open cells, she sees infected inside the cells along the way, but they don't seem to notice, as she passes by silently and swiftly
  56. [2015-04-29 22:21:28]<EchoesOfDeath> Then Backlash has a bad feeling about her friends.
  57. [2015-04-29 22:22:40]* Backlash looks down towards Cambiance_ and Swift_Hurddle. "Get back!" she whispers.
  58. [2015-04-29 22:23:31]* Cambiance_ deims her horn and retreats. "What's up?"
  59. [2015-04-29 22:25:14]* Backlash 's ears fold back, concerned. "Jus'... be careful, okay? This place is really dangerous."
  60. [2015-04-29 22:25:36]<EchoesOfDeath> Several groans come from inside that room.
  61. [2015-04-29 22:28:59]* Cambiance_ readers her machete (at a safe distanxe) to cover Swift if needed.
  62. [2015-04-29 22:30:23]<EchoesOfDeath> Swift_Hurddle's eyes focus on an elderly unicorn pony inside, with blank eyes and a chunk of their shoulder missing, blackened. It's Bill. At first he doesn't realize, but his neck looks darkened in a different way, bruised around his throat.
  63. [2015-04-29 22:36:40]<EchoesOfDeath> Right next to him Swift_Hurddle sees an infected that seems to have had chunks of meat all over its legs and half his face ripped away, exposing parts of the bone. It stands weakly, groaning at Swift_Hurddle.
  64. [2015-04-29 22:38:04]* Swift_Hurddle trots backwards away from the cell entrance, shaking his head, how he buck was bill here?!?!
  65. [2015-04-29 22:38:28]<EchoesOfDeath> But then he sees one on the back. Though his black shriveled hooves make it harder to see, the red eyes seem to glare at him. He opens his mouth oozing dripping dark and charges him.
  66. [2015-04-29 22:39:08]* Cambiance_ has quit (Quit: Page closed)
  67. [2015-04-29 22:39:55]* Cambiance (~Cambiance@Pony-p0dtej.chapman.edu) has joined
  68. [2015-04-29 22:47:32]* Cambiance charges forward her machete, knocking back the infected. "Off my jock, buddy!!"
  69. [2015-04-29 22:50:27]* Swift_Hurddle looks past the action still, "But why would he, how could he be..."
  70. [2015-04-29 22:51:34]* Backlash gulps and holds still between doorways while the fight commences.
  71. [2015-04-29 22:51:59]<EchoesOfDeath> The red-eyed pony thing is knocked back and hisses.
  72. [2015-04-29 22:53:02]<EchoesOfDeath> Aegis scowls and draws her shotgun.
