- >be Afternoon Delight
- >homeless pony, forced to sell your body to get by.
- >spend most of your day avoiding pony's looks and doing things behind bushes and trees you can barely think about without vomiting.
- >on your way to "work" overhear some ponies taking about a creature called aye-none
- >apparently came out of nowhere and is trying to make friends with everypony.
- >hear about him more and more through the weeks.
- >about how he's caring and compassionate
- >that he tries to help everypony he comes across
- >he gives the best belly rubs too
- >and he's a little cute
- >start dreaming about him.
- >thinking about how he'll meet you one day and whisk you away to come live with him.
- >how he would treat you like a proper mare even though he knows what you are.
- >starts raining one day. Pretty bad storm actually, you might need a new box after this one.
- >then you see him. Standing in two legs and twice as tall as a stallion, just like the stories.
- >he catches you watching him run from the rain, he slowly walks towards you.
- >this is it, just like you imagine
- >you don't break eye contact with him, you don't want to blink or look away and have him disappear.
- >suddenly a blue pegasus pony flies between you and him, she looks at you and says something to him you can't make out
- >he tries to move her out of the way and keep closing in
- >then an orange earth pony with a hat holds him back and says something.
- >you see him respond and get cut off
- >he looks over at you one last time
- >then he walks away
- >you'll never see him again
- >the top of your box plops onto your back and the rain pours onto your back.
- >It's been days since you saw him.
- >still think about how beautiful he looked even with his short mane and completely drenched body.
- >you got a new box, although a little smaller than your old on.
- >there's some celebration going on in town square, parks been empty all day.
- >you start to drift off in thought. Thinking over everything that lead you here
- >then you hear hoofsteps.
- >only these aren't normal hoofsteps. There's only two of them and they don't have that familiar clang.
- >shadow extends over your box, then 20 bits hit the grass in front of you.
- >20 bits. Anything. You want to whimper but the customer was right there, and you needed the bits.
- >"where would you like to do it."
- "My place. I want you to come home with me."
- >you look up and it's him. Aye-none!
- >he came back for you!
- >he kneels down next to you and runs his hands through your mane.
- "You're very pretty, you know that?"
- >he starts to lean in for a kiss
- >you close your eyes and tilt your head
- >It's happening, its really-
- >BANG! BANG BANG!
- >one of the fireworks from the celebration goes off above your box.
- >you look around at the park. Still no one here.
- >you fell asleep.
- >it was all a dream.
- >he didn't come for you.
- >nopony was coming for you.
- >at least it wasn't raining today.
- >OUCH!
- >that last customer left you with a bad bruise on your right leg.
- >he was a regular, third of every month. He never came for your normal services, only ever to rough you up to relieve some tension.
- >you would stop agreeing to do this for him if he didn't pay you five times your anything price.
- >this time it was really rough though, you're not sure if you'll be able to move much for the rest of the week.
- >guess your new box was missing a few stains...
- >lost in thought you didn't even notice the stallion approach.
- >he was a red colt wearing a cloak to hide his face and body and looking around worried he would be seen.
- >he dropped 20 bits in front of you...
- >guess you'll have to work through the pai-
- >and then a letter.
- >then he ran off as fast as he could.
- >still not sure what just happened you open the letter. It was written in terrible handwriting and most words misspelled. Like whoever wrote this never learned how to write equestrian.
- >you quickly read through it and your heart started pounding.
- >it was from aye-none.
- >he said his friends didn't want him to come near you but he had to meet you.
- >he wanted to talk to you and help you.
- >he would be waiting for you near the park fountain until midnight tonight.
- >if you didn't come, he would understand. Wouldn't bother you again.
- >Your heart was beating faster than ever.
- >your mind racing at the possibilities.
- >you had to go, you got up and
- >OUCH!
- >your leg crumpled beneath your weight. You dropped to the ground with tears of pain in your eyes.
- >you didn't want to accept it.
- >this couldn't be happening.
- >you tried getting up and walking again only to fall again a few steps later.
- >you couldn't do it.
- >you would never make it.
- >aye-none was there waiting for you just down the path but you couldn't reach him.
- >he would sit there waiting for you all night and think you didn't want to meet him
- >you started to cry
- >you cried.
- >you cried and cried and just let everything you were holding back get to you.
- >every stallion, every bruise, every dirty look.
- >every day spent in the rain, every night spent freezing cold.
- >everything you held back to be strong. You just let go and cried.
- >you cried for hours.
- >you cried until it was dark and you had no more tears.
- >you tried one last time to stand and before even getting your front two legs up your back leg sent a river of pain down your body.
- >that was it then.
- >there was no getting up. You didn't even want to get up anymore.
- >even if you could make it to him, even if all the stories were true, he wouldn't want you.
- >nopony would want you.
- >you weren't good for anything.
- >you were just some animal to use and abandon without a second thought.
- >you could feel your body starting to go numb.
- >Maybe it was the cold.
- >Maybe it was the pain.
- >Maybe this really was it for you.
- >Well if this was the end, you might as well go in your happy place.
- >you close your eyes and think of him.
- Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap
- >his two feet making that silly sound.
- TapTapTapTap
- >he would see you laying here and rush to you.
- >he would want to help you more than anything.
- >he would care, he'd kneel over you and ask
- "Are you alright?!"
- >you'd look into his eyes, his beautiful green eyes, and see nothing but fear for your well being.
- "Miss are you alright? Can you hear me?!"
- >he wouldn't care how you looked. He would just pick you up and carry you.
- >you'd be the only thing on his mind. He'd go to any lengths for you.
- "Please! Please just say something!"
- >he would treat you right. He'd make sure you never had t-
- >you felt a drop hit your mane. Then another, and another.
- "Please say something. P-please just say anything."
- >you opened your eyes
- >he was crying.
- >he was really there and he was crying
- >holding your shivering body close and crying.
- >he came for you.
- >"you came for me."
- >you looked into his eyes and he smiled
- >you blacked out
- >be anon
- >running as fast as you can to the nearest doctor, hospital, nurse, fuck anything!
- >anything that can save the pony in your arms.
- >luckily the residents of ponyville have grown to like you. So smashing your fist against a doctor's door in the middle of the night is met with confusion and not a bucking to the groin.
- >she's still passed out. She's been getting colder since you found her.
- >the doctor motions you inside and begins checking her over immediately.
- >please be okay. Please, please just be okay.
- >an hour passes, the doctor pony leads you away from her and places his hoof on your shoulder
- >"anon I'm afraid..."
- >be Afternoon Delight
- >wake up from your black out in a strange house. Your laying in a bed with three blankets on top of you.
- >you feel so cold.
- >you start to remember what happened before you blacked out. Remember he came for you.
- >that silly looking beautiful two legged creature.
- >the door opens almost on cue and he steps inside. Aye-none.
- >he puts on a smile when he sees your awake.
- "Good morning sleepy head."
- >"where, am I?"
- >his smile widens, you feel a little colder.
- "You're at my place silly."
- >you crack a smile. He sits down on the bed next to you and starts passing his hand through your mane.
- "Well it's not just my place. It's your place too remember?"
- >you look at him confused
- "Sorry we've been together so long sometimes I forget. That night I found you I rushed you to a doctor, he managed to save you but said you would have some memory problems."
- >he scratches behind your ear. You feel a little colder.
- "Ever since that night you've been living here with me."
- >yeah. Yeah you remember now. You've been living with aye-none for years now. Spent countless days by fireplace just taking. Celebrating every birthday. You remember now, it's been wonderful.
- >he leans in and kisses you.
- >"I love you aye-none."
- >he smiles and holds you close.
- "And I love you with all my heart."
- >you feel cold. Really cold.
- >you feel cold, Really cold.
- >aye-none holds you closer to him.
- "I-I want you to get some rest okay. Tomorrow were getting married remember?"
- >of course you remember. You've been planning it for months.
- >your eyes feel heavy. Your body cold.
- >aye-none is right, you need your rest for tomorrow.
- >It's the day you've been waiting for all your life.
- >you close your eyes
- >you feel him let go
- >hear the door open and close
- >and drift off
- >be anon
- >close the door to the room with the pony you found in the park an hour ago.
- >"I'm sorry I couldn't..."
- >you look the doctor pony in the eyes and he trails off.
- >you lean against the wall and eventually slide down to a sitting position.
- >sit in silence for what feels like forever
- >"did you get to say your goodbyes?"
- >you nod
- "The best I could come up with."
- >you sit in silence for the rest of the night.
- >in the morning they come to pick up her body.
- >you'll make sure she has the most beautiful funeral.
- End.
