[00:28]	GM-Mizi	[It's been a while that Kai stays with Marisa in order to learn how to use magic. He get his lessons, and Marisa get extra muscles for her heavy-lifting. She brought him with her when she went to the village to trade her potions for necessities, and use him for her menial tasks. Today is no different. He's out at the backyard, splitting firewoods for Marisa's cauldron...]
[00:30]	Marisa	with extra free time from dumping all her odd jobs at her disciple, now relaxing on the hill, reading tome she liberated from her usual place. Kai knows that she sometimes flew out and return with books with doubtful origin. Alice drop by to read her collections sometimes, too.
[00:30]	Kai	wipes his brow with his Eientei-given hakama, heaving the axe again to chop firewood. After some time handling this, little stamina remains in his arms.
[00:32]	Marisa	How's it going down there?
[00:33]	Marisa	waves from her cozy spot on the roof, overlooking the hill below.
[00:35]	Kai	chops one more log in half.
[00:36]	Kai	Slowly.... Tolerably.
[00:36]	Marisa	"Gotta work for your livin'!"
[00:36]	Marisa	haw haw
[00:37]	Marisa	"Don't worry, ze. I'm no slave driver myself. If you finish that batch, I have some orange juice for ya."
[00:39]	Kai	That'd be great!
[00:39]	Kai	resumes chopping, and soon enough is done with the remaining pile. His arms hang limp by his sides.
[00:39]	Kai	Ugh... Done, I think.
[00:40]	Marisa	"Awesome! Come inside and let's have something to cool your head."
[00:41]	Marisa	jumps down and floats slowly till she touches the ground.
[00:42]	Marisa	"You know, I had to do all that myself before you came, and that left me with so little time to read."
[00:42]	Marisa	hugs his arm.
[00:42]	Marisa	"Now that you are here, I feel like my free time doubled!"
[00:43]	Kai	rubs his arms.
[00:44]	Kai	... I bet it has...
[00:44]	Kai	How did you do this before I came, anyway? Magic?
[00:44]	Kai	You don't look especially burly.
[00:44]	Marisa	"well, this and that."
[00:44]	Marisa	"Let's say I have my way of dealing with things."
[00:45]	Kai	You know, that sounds really suspicious...
[00:45]	Marisa	won't tell him that she has to bug Alice to help!
[00:46]	Marisa	leads Kai back into the house.  She takes out one bottle of orange juice, cooled in the oak casket with water drawn directly from the river.
[00:46]	Marisa	"There ya go; present for your hard work!"
[00:48]	Kai	Thanks.
[00:49]	Kai	chugs it, leaving about half to sip on.
[00:49]	Kai	Gah... My arms are going to be ridiculously sore tomorrow.
[00:50]	Marisa	"how about you try practicing control thread on it? Moving your arms without actually moving."
[00:50]	Marisa	"like how Alice move her dolls around."
[00:53]	Kai	I think I'll do that...
[00:54]	Kai	Beats actually lifting the thing.
[00:54]	Marisa	"Practice makes perfect!"

[00:54]	Kai	nods, and sips at the rest.

[00:55]	Marisa	lick her lips, cleaning the trace of OJ around her mouth.
[00:57]	Kai	Do you know if it's possible to get a message to the outside?

[00:57]	Marisa	"I don't think so."
[00:57]	Marisa	"Stuff comes in and out by pure chance."
[00:57]	Kai	takes a deep breath.
[00:57]	Kai	... Alright.
[00:58]	Marisa	"The one who can is probably the... y'know, her. Purple hag."
[00:59]	AnUnknownWoman	"Let it be known that she does in fact resent that name, black witch."
[00:59]	AnUnknownWoman	says from behind them. Where did she come from...?

[01:01]	Marisa	sigh in exasperation.
[01:02]	Marisa	"You came."
[01:02]	AnUnknownWoman	nods serenely.
[01:02]	Marisa	"And what with that fancy oh-so-medieval talk? That sounds so weird."
[01:03]	Marisa	"Use basic Japanese language, will ya? Ba. Sic. Ja. Pa. Nese."
[01:03]	Marisa	turns to meet the newcomer.
[01:03]	AnUnknownWoman	tilts her head to the side the smallest fraction of an inch, too small for Kai to see.
[01:04]	AnUnknownWoman	"I shall take it under advisement."
[01:04]	Marisa	"Argh, shut up, will ya?"
[01:05]	Marisa	faceplants the table, frustrated.
[01:05]	Marisa	"Stop talking so formal or I'll shoot you to kingdom come."
[01:04]	AnUnknownWoman	"Is it safe for me to assume you know why I am here, or shall I continue with the formalities?"
[01:05]	Marisa	"Yeaaaaah. I know why you're here. Him, right?"
[01:05]	Kai	stands apart from the two, nervous.
[01:05]	Kai	What?
[01:07]	Marisa	puts a finger on his mouth.
[01:07]	Marisa	"Let me handle this."
[01:09]	AnUnknownWoman	glances at Kai with golden eyes, not quite slitted, but not quite round… She is tall compared to the Japanese-sized women Kai’s been seeing lately. The majority of her form is enshrouded in a cream-colored traveler’s cloak with the hood drawn, obscuring a good portion of her head and face, though locks of short blond hair poke out from the sides. A divide behind her cloak allows a bushel of white-gold fox tails to protrude, held very still.
[01:10]	AnUnknownWoman	keeps her gloved hands politely folded in front of her, almost completely covered by her wide sleeves.
[01:11]	AnUnknownWoman	"There are certain matters which must be accounted for."
[01:11]	AnUnknownWoman	replies enigmatically.
[01:12]	Marisa	"like what?"
[01:12]	AnUnknownWoman	"As you have so elegantly put... him."
[01:12]	AnUnknownWoman	gestures to Kai.
[01:14]	AnUnknownWoman	"Please don't force me to take up any more of your time or effort than is necessary."
[01:14]	Kai	warily eyes the... kitsune?
[01:15]	AnUnknownWoman	insinuates volumes with every sentence, but it's unclear just WHAT she is insinuating.
[01:15]	Marisa	"You can't just come here and nab people away without my permission!"
[01:15]	Marisa	"If Yukari wants to talk, just get her lazy bum here, Ran!"
[01:16]	AnUnknownWoman	spends plenty of time eying Kai back. Her gaze is eerily calm.
[01:16]	AnUnknownWoman	turns that gaze back onto Marisa.
[01:17]	AnUnknownWoman	smiles slightly, but pleasantly.
[01:17]	AnUnknownWoman	"Don't, Ms. Kirisame. You know her better than to say that with a straight face~"
[01:18]	AnUnknownWoman	"I am not asking for your permission. I am asking for HIS."
[01:19]	AnUnknownWoman	turns back to Kai, standing very still.
[01:23]	AnUnknownWoman	smiles gently at him as well. It's up to Kai whether that's supposed to ease the tension or not.
[01:24]	Marisa	"Gah. You know what? let him decide."
[01:24]	Marisa	turns to Kai.
[01:24]	Marisa	"So there's this kitsune that want to kidnap you. What do you say?"
[01:25]	Marisa	"Though she's totally walking all over my authority as an owner of this house and that you are my guest."
[01:25]	Marisa	"Not that I am annoyed by it but I'm gonna say it anyway. Totally not sarcastic."
[01:25]	Marisa	grr.
[01:26]	AnUnknownWoman	sighs.
[01:26]	AnUnknownWoman	"I feel I must remind you of who's authority HE has walked over as an owner of something much bigger than your house."
[01:27]	Marisa	"This is still my house!"

[01:27]	Marisa	"Why don't you respect a maiden's privacy?!"

[01:28]	Kai	I can't safely decide to leave until I know.
[01:28]	Kai	... I don't much like the prospect of being eaten.
[01:29]	AnUnknownWoman	"I represent someone in a certain position of authority who has taken an interest in your presence here, sir."

[01:35]	Kai	tries to veil his request for escort as something else, though it might serve as a good compromise.
[01:35]	Marisa	"I just don't like her high-and-mighty attitude."

[01:48]	FoxyLady	arrives with Kai in a completely different locale. They are in the interior of a Japanese house, simply adorned. Outside the window can be seen an array of similar houses in various states of disrepair. It seems very... quiet, though not exactly aurally so...

[01:50]	FoxyLady	"Please, make him feel comfortable. He is not used to this place."
[01:52]	Kai	looks around, shaking his head after a moment to try and make sense of what just passed. o O ( ... Teleportation? Is /that/ what it's like? )
[01:52]	FoxyLady	walks out of the room, leaving Kai to fend for himself for the moment.
[01:52]	Chen	"Okaaaaaay!"
[01:52]	Chen	approaches Kai, along with a legion of cats.
[01:53]	The_White_Chick	[A small gap opens up behind Kai. A pale, well manicured hand extends from it and gooses him.]
[01:54]	Kai	jumps.
[01:54]	Kai	Wha-?
[01:54]	Chen	"I hope you like cats!"
[01:55]	Kai	looks around for whatever poked him without much success.
[01:55]	Kai	Uh, hello.
[01:55]	Kai	Cats are nice.
[01:56]	Kai	observes the new girl. Are there any other guys in Gensokyo?
[01:56]	The_White_Chick	's hand is of course long since gone.

[01:56]	Chen	is still, in appearance, a kid. She sports black hair with a green beret-like hat on top. red shirt and a matching colored red mini skirt. The thing that seems to be out of ordinary about her is two visible cat ears on her head, and a pair of black cat tail.
[01:57]	Chen	"People who like cats are nice, so you must be nice too!"
[01:57]	Chen	sits properly before him, and bows a little.
[01:57]	Chen	"My name is Chen. Nice to meet you."
[02:00]	Kai	bows in return.
[02:00]	Kai	Kai; nice to meet you, too.
[02:01]	Chen	sits there, wagging her tail(s).
[02:01]	Chen	"...oh right! You want tea?"
[02:02]	Chen	"Guest usually have tea, so I think you might too."
[02:02]	FoxyLady	returns, with tea. And biscuits and others treats on a tray. She sets them down on the kotatsu.
[02:02]	FoxyLady	"Very good, Chen. You're learning."
[02:03]	FoxyLady	nods in Chen's direction, having removed her hood to reveal well-kept golden hair and an obvious pair of fox ears.
[02:03]	Kai	How convenient of timing.
[02:03]	Kai	bows to Ran.
[02:03]	Kai	Thank you.

[02:04]	The_White_Chick	sets herself down on Kai. From a gap about six feet above him. It's more of a belly flop than setting herself down, quite honestly.

[02:05]	Chen	leap-hugs Ran.
[02:05]	The_White_Chick	[EVERYBODY IS HUGGING well okay some people are being flattened underneath others BUT STILL]
[02:05]	FoxyLady	catches Chen with ease; the height difference is noticeable.
[02:06]	FoxyLady	"Well enough for thirty seconds, child."
[02:06]	Kai	jumps, accidentally spilling his tea.
[02:06]	Kai	whuaah!
[02:06]	Kai	would be d'awwing if not for the sudden ladydrop in front of him.
[02:06]	Chen	[The cat legion nyaas and whatnot, imposing themselves. Some even try to get on the white chick that is bellyflopping Kai.]
[02:06]	The_White_Chick	's bust is right in Kai's face! Oh, the comedy of it all!
[02:07]	FoxyLady	just ignores that white chick over there; one tends to get used to it.
[02:07]	Kai	tries to roll away as best he can.
[02:07]	The_White_Chick	[...A mini-gap opens up under Kai's spilled tea. It is deposited neatly and unspilled on the table a second later.]
[02:08]	The_White_Chick	Now, how does this next bit go... "Ahhh! I'm going to be late for school!"

[02:08]	Chen	"But you are too old for school, Yukari-sama!"
[02:08]	Chen	nyaas.

[02:08]	The_White_Chick	pauses in mid-fate-bemoaning, and shakes her head.

[02:09]	FoxyLady	lets Chen slide down as she walks over to a ledge against the wall, lighting some sort of incense. It's hard to pinpoint the scent, but it's very pleasant.
[02:10]	FoxyLady	returns to the table and sits down cross-legged next to Chen and across from Kai.
[02:10]	The_White_Chick	absentmindedly tosses Chen into a gap. Somewhere nearby, there is a distant splash as she is dropped into the koi pond.
[02:10]	The_White_Chick	Not at all, dear. Perhaps you should wash those eyes clean~
[02:11]	The_White_Chick	...Now, let's see.
[02:11]	Chen	\GYAAN!/
[02:11]	Chen	flails
[02:11]	FoxyLady	quickly reaches in after her and retrieves her pupil.

[02:12]	FoxyLady	"You will forgive our... oddities, at home, sir. We do not often entertain guests, and one tends to forget how to behave."
[02:12]	The_White_Chick	looks down at the poor schlub she's on top of.

[02:14]	FoxyLady	quickly stretches a hand out and magically shields the table and Kai from errant water droplets.

[02:14]	Chen	"Yukari-sama, you meanie!"
[02:15]	Chen	hides inside Ran's ample coverage of her nine tails.
[02:15]	FoxyLady	bows to Yukari as if she just arrived.
[02:15]	FoxyLady	"Mistress, how good of you to join us."
[02:15]	FoxyLady	's tails dry off any water left on Chen with ease.
[02:15]	The_White_Chick	Sir! I will have you take responsibility for this!
[02:16]	The_White_Chick	...Now, naturally this involves me moving in with you.
[02:16]	The_White_Chick	And a great deal of sexual tension! So much tension!
[02:16]	The_White_Chick	How many right hooks can you take?
[02:16]	FoxyLady	"Yukari, it must not be rushed. These things take time to build."
[02:17]	The_White_Chick	is about to go on, then pauses. And pouts.

[02:17]	The_White_Chick	...Bah.
[02:17]	The_White_Chick	At least let me find out how violent a tsundere I can be before he breaks!
[02:18]	Kai	would likely find this all amusing if he were watching it happen to someone else but is merely bewildered.

[02:18]	FoxyLady	"I would advise you to pull. In this setting, he's quite out of sorts, and rather weak."

[02:19]	The_White_Chick	Well, despite my alleged marriage claim, I will naturally still be shy and needlessly overreact when you walk in upon me changing and witness me in all my 17 years of beauty~

[02:19]	Kai	looks to Ran for help.
[02:20]	FoxyLady	"If I may, Yukari, such things are better left for the 'lesser' characters in the story."

[02:20]	FoxyLady	is of no help at all to Kai.

[02:20]	Chen	rolls around and try to punch one of Ran's many tails.

[02:21]	FoxyLady	flicks the tail away at the last instant, then bats Chen on the head with it. Parry-riposte!
[02:21]	The_White_Chick	Ugh. ...That's... that's true, isn't it.
[02:22]	The_White_Chick	Ran, it appears the script needs editing. Send it back to the writers, and don't let them off easy! This is completely unacceptable.
[02:23]	The_White_Chick	falls through another gap, and disappears from the room.
[02:23]	FoxyLady	"Now that the informalities are out of the way..."
[02:23]	Chen	, getting tired of chasing Ran's tails, put her newfound curiosity on the man instead.
[02:24]	Chen	sits besides him and look at him curiously.
[02:24]	FoxyLady	"Welcome. You may call me Ran, and her Chen, my protegee."
[02:25]	Kai	... Thank you, yet again.
[02:25]	Chen	"Protegee!"
[02:25]	Chen	doesn't actually know what it is, but it sounds neat.
[02:25]	Kai	Is that kind of thing common here?
[02:26]	Kai	idly gestures to wherever Yukari's shenanigans happened.
[02:26]	FoxyLady	spreads her arms out and down low, motioning somewhat to the floor.
[02:26]	FoxyLady	"In this house, there is much that is common."
[02:27]	FoxyLady	"That is one of them."
[02:27]	FoxyLady	"You will forgive my master's brevity. She is of a different life than most."
[02:28]	FoxyLady	"But such discussions can wait."
[02:28]	FoxyLady	waves her hand, as if to wave the subject away.
[02:29]	FoxyLady	"I must discuss now the matter of your presence here."
[02:29]	Kai	nods.
[02:39]	Chen	nudges her head against him.
[02:29]	The_White_Chick	lands on the empty side of the table.

[02:30]	FoxyLady	says in a less-than-stern voice, but still direct.

[02:31]	FoxyLady	"Describe your journey before you were aware that such was not as you believed 'normal'. Where were you bound?"
[02:32]	Kai	glances at Chen. o O ( She really is a lot like a cat, isn't she? Cute... )
[02:32]	Kai	I was just out on a hike to a local forest.
[02:32]	The_White_Chick	Which one?
[02:32]	Kai	I don't remember exactly what its name was, but I can relate the closest Outside city.

[02:32]	FoxyLady	folds her hands back up in her cloak, looking pensive, and yet belying something more...
[02:33]	Chen	fidgets. Being forced to stay still is not her nature...
[02:33]	FoxyLady	"The name is not important. You had no specific destination, then?"
[02:34]	Kai	Not exactly, I guess.
[02:34]	FoxyLady	nods.
[02:34]	FoxyLady	"I see."
[02:34]	Kai	After I got there, I just kind of wandered around.
[02:34]	Kai	holds back the "we" bit, just in case.
[02:35]	FoxyLady	"What were your thoughts while hiking? Can you recall them? Anything prevalent."
[02:35]	The_White_Chick	vwoop
[02:37]	The_White_Chick	pokes one hand through a gap, which opens up behind Chen's head. It sneaks up under her beret and begins scratching the girl's head softly behind her catlike ears.
[02:38]	Chen	purrs in bliss...

[02:38]	Kai	I was just admiring the scenery-
[02:38]	Kai	pauses once seeing the gap, but then continues.
[02:39]	Kai	... And how ancient it all looked.
[02:39]	Kai	. o O ( ... Chen really /is/ a cat, or something. )
[02:40]	FoxyLady	"Are you a firm believer in the sciences, sir?"
[02:41]	FoxyLady	seems to ask out of the blue.
[02:41]	Kai	Very much so; I'm nearly done with my degree in Computer Science.

[02:43]	The_White_Chick	sniggers, but says nothing.
[02:43]	FoxyLady	lowers her eyes for a moment as she watches the steam rise from her tea cup.
[02:43]	Kai	glances at the "Master".
[02:45]	FoxyLady	"Would you describe yourself as a 'lost', soul, sir?"
[02:45]	Kai	... "Lost soul"?
[02:46]	Kai	No, not much at all...
[02:46]	Kai	Sure, I don't know exactly what company I'd like to work for, but I've got a list.

[02:46]	FoxyLady	nods to Yukari.
