  3. 1. Conservation Biology: The study of how to use nature effectively while preserving some of it.
  4. Ecology: The study of nature and how it works.
  5. 2. It became a law in 1972, and helps in this way; Any animal that is considered to be endangered cannot be harmed or moved off any spot of land it chooses, even if it’s on private property, UNLESS it poses an immediate threat/danger to a nearby human (As Jimbo might say, “It’s comin’ right fer us!”).
  6. 3. The captive-born animals cannot always adapt back to nature because they’re used to having humans give them everything beyond air.
  7. 4. Alligators – They were once incredibly endangered, a few more deaths and they would’ve been with the dodos, but, (somewhat) luckily, through conservation biology were brought back to the point where they actually infested a Florida Airport.
  8. 5. If all the plants die out, all the rabbits will, and then the wolves will too. Voila.
  9.

  11. 1. Where they can live.
  12. 2. The birthrate of any one species must exceed the death rate of said species or said species shall die out.
  13. 3. If China doubled in population over the course of 30 years, by 2030 it’s possible they’ll have two billion people, although it’s not always accurate (look at Soylent Green :)).
  14. 4. If a population grows, and it’s environment doesn’t, it’ll have to cut off a part of itself or die out entirely.
  15. 5. Without clean water, a country may not be able to support it’s population. Damn.
  16.

  18. 1. Bears depend on fish to live long amounts of time, but without fish at least some will have to die out.
  19. 2. A bug (short life) will basically go eat, mate, and die. A turtle will eat, sleep, lounge-around, be boring to look at, mate, and repeat the process a hundred times with their huge lifespan.
  20. 3. No.
  21. 4. Houseflies have to mate constantly, because of their short lives.
  22. 5. Without food, stuff cannot exceed a certain amount.
  23.

  25. 1. No.
  26. 2. Bacteria break down unhealthy stuff in humans’ small intestines, without them, we would die (or evolve, whichever comes first :P).
  27. 3. Parrots eat bugs. Bugs eat plants. Plants “eat” sunlight. Without sunlight, parrots will die.
  28. 4. More water, more animals, more plants.
  29. 5. Different animals.
  30. 6. The second biome.
